Butt and Abs Workout Part 4

The first exercise you can see in this video is the side leg raises.  If you want to increase the challenge of this exercise, you can pull your leg behind you when you get it up to the hip hight. Also you can try to do all of your reps by lowering your leg until it’s just couple inches off the floor instead of placing your foot on the floor between the reps.  The second exercise where you have to squeeze the dumbbell between your knees is great for your inner thighs, quads, hamstrings, glutes and core and you can increase the challenge by keeping your hips up at all times and by alternating the leg extensions.

    In yoga, one can use a yoga block to correct the positioning of the thighs for bridge pose. I have been meaning to get a yoga block for this, as well as maybe for the head (prep for sirsasana).

    HI Sara,
    thanks a lot for the very kind comment. We started bodyrock.tv 8 months ago and almost all of the videos that we have ever done are here on the site and available for everyone. We deleted only some of the videos that we thought were kind of dumb :) If you come across a workout that is not complete, it is still in progress and the rest of the parts will be added soon.

    One of my favorite exercises for inner thighs is wall sit with medicine ball. You press your back against a wall and squat down so that your thighs are parallel to the ground and your shins are vertical, just like sitting on chair. In this position, squeeze the medicine ball between your knees and hold until your muscles start to shake and you can no longer hold this position. Do not hit the failure tho, quit just before your tire your muscles completely. You should have enough strength to get up. If you just collapse on the ground it means you have overdone it.

    Aleena, you have to work your body as a whole not only the problematic parts. Those areas where your body stores fat will take longer to get in shape. You have to engage in regular cardio and strength training to reach your goals. Try my workout routines and vary them from one day to another, don’t do the same workout every day. When you do one day workout that is really hard, choose easy workout for the next day and so on. If a workout that used to be hard for you become much easier, then increase the intensity by adding reps, sets, weight or decrease the rest between the sets. Diet is an important part of your fitness so make sure to read all of my diet advice. This should help you to get started ;)

    Is it just me but when I try to do this exercise not the thigh I’m lifting hurts it’s the one on the floor it almost feels like it’s cramping. I tried to do it 3 times and adjust my posture and it still hurts when I try to lift the leg up.

    Hey Zuzana,

    I have been doing your workouts for about 4 weeks now. Your site first came to my attention while perusing fashion haul vids with my boyfriend. We came across your fitness clothes haul The next day I revisited your vid to see if in fact you had a workout to go with the clothes.

    The first workout I tried was “20 minutes of pure torture”. I tried it twice, skipping a day in between to see if I could do better the 2nd time, then moved on to the “S&M workout” a couple days later. That was the first week and I loved the format. I have never done HIIT before. I decided to do the 6 week summer fit program, I just finished week 3. I love doing a newer daily workout on day 6 when I can pick my own 20 minute cardio. I am really excited about the 2nd half of the 6 week program. I even bought a Gym Boss. It definitely takes the workout to another level. At first I was so sore that I knew these workouts must be doing something but now the physical changes are hard to ignore. I have noticed more tone in my abs and arms, and my buns are definitely tighter. I started out at 130 lbs. and I am now at 124. I don’t really have a weight goal, but I know I wanted to lose some weight and tone up. I am trying to watch my diet, which isn’t hard when I think of those grueling workouts, but we are big foodies! I can say that I feel stronger and healthier lately!

    I love the workouts, look forward to new ones. Thank you so much for the great vids and attitude.

    Hi,

    I have most of my “looseness” in my inner thigh and butt areas. I gain muscle quickly so, weights and the elliptical is out. Do you have an exercise for the inner thigh specifically??
