Full Body Blast Workout 3/5

The first exercise in this combo are push ups with one hand on the medicine ball. Placing one hand on the ball will help you to increase your balance, range of motion and rolling the medicine ball from hand to hand will force your abs and core to work harder.  Get into push up position and place one hand on the medicine ball and the other hand on the floor. Keep your body rigid in a straight line and lower yourself towards the ground in slow controlled movement tensing all of your muscles. For more challenge you can pause at the bottom before you push back up. As soon as you push up, roll the ball towards the other hand and do the same thing on the other side. Alternate the sides  for the total of 10 reps.

The second exercise are backward lunges with medicine ball overhead press. Hold the medicine ball in front of you with both of your hands, than lunge back and press the medicine ball up above your head at the same time. Alternate the legs and do 20 reps total. Than move on directly to the next part of this workout.

    Hello Zuzana,

    Im from Orange County, CA and I am NSCA certified. I just started visiting your website and really like your enthusiasm towards fitness. I work out 5 sometimes 6 days a week incorporate all different modes of training but wanted to know if you ever incorporate plyometric training or isometric holds into your workouts? I find these to be very fun with switching up the variation and it no doubt intensifies the workout. Talk with you soon.

    Zuzana,
    I just discovered your workouts on Youtube a few days ago and I love them. You come up with creative new training exercises I haven’t tried before!

    The only problem is when I am trying to find specific muscle workouts its hard to navigate your blog to find them. The search doesn’t work properly. Everytime I try and use the search it just turns up blank. Perhaps you can start tagging your posts by muscle groups, i.e. shoulders, chest so that it would make it easier to find your demonstrations to target specific body parts.

    Why Russian people has a great shape!!!?? you can not say that you don´t have a good genetic! good no, you have a great genetic, and your effort, of course, don´t fight with me! but really amazing! you are in incredible shape! i know we can not blame only genetic, but you have facility to enhace the target, and as well properly workouts to get there! properly workouts is very important, as eat right and clean,rest,sets of things can transform our body. That´s why is so important a right indication.

    Hi Lynn,
    it is better to have a light workout than no workout. Light workout can help you to reduce the muscle soreness.

    Hello Zuzana! I was wondering, besides chest flies, chest press, and regular push-ups, what other workouts are really good for the chest area? I’m a girl but I know my bf wants to build strong pecs and he wants to change things up when he hits a plateau, and I’m trying to find out for him. :) Or…what’s YOUR fave routine for that? Thank you God bless you! Btw, wow–your muscles are super duper defined–like i could see almost every muscle strand and fiber.

    Nice work out! I assume a medicine ball is not necessary for the first half…a large hard rubber ball or a basketball or football (soccer ball) might substitute just fine.

    Hey Marcia, I think Zuzana is actually Czech, but in general I and most males, or for that matter anyone here, would agree with you. Eastern european women often are amazing. In particular I would say Zuzana has always been an amazing beauty. Being leaner and more muscle has added just that much more amazing to her.

    I personally like variety of push ups like dive bomber, elevated push ups, one leg push ups, one arm push ups, medicine ball push ups, explosive push ups… There are many varieties that he can try.
