Ab Torture Workout 2/5

In the second part of the Ab Torture Workout I am doing an excellent exercise for obliques that will help you sculpt the muscles of your midsection and get rid of any muffin tops :) I am doing 20 reps per set and combining this exercise with 100 skips with the skipping rope. Combing resistance training and cardio is a killer combination for burning fat and sculpting your muscles. You can give your metabolism an extra boost by increasing the intensity of your cardio exercise in between each set of weight training and shortening the rest periods.     Hi Zuzana and Frederick,

    I’ve been thinking about where you folks might be heading in this large world. As you lived in Canada (Frederick’s homeland) and as Zuzana is from Eastern Europe (which is beautiful), but it can be very cold during winter in the North…so still sticking with Europe maybe somewhere in South? So using a shotgun…it could be either Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, or the Balkans…

    Do I win?

    zuzana, I love your workouts, and it´s kinda obvious that we all admire your body, me specially admire your shoulders… I read somewere that shoulders respond fast to exercises because they are a small group of muscles… but I have a big difficoult for developing them, my biceps and triceps responds very well, but in my arms, the shoulders doesn´t respond so good.. Do you have anything that could help me, any idea or advice..anything.. ^^
    I do 4 different exercises for shoulders, 3 series of 8 to 10reps, with 8 or 10 kgs, depending of the exercise I´m doing, and I pay a big attention to the form, I eat well and rest well too, I think that might be because I´m taking my workouts seriouslly for just 6 months, that might be litlle time for my body to respond, in past I used to exercise a lot, but I had to stop for a year, and has 6 months I back to exercise, I know as you said that is a very long journey, just wanted to know if there´s any advice or something you could tell me, because I saw in a video you saying that you developed your shoulders in a very good way.. ^^

    I forgot to say, I posted this ask here because I didn´t know were to post, so I thought it would be a good idea to post in your newest video… and i train my shoulder twice a week, the other days I do bodyweights exercises, and my daylly workouts have one hour and a half duration!

    This is a bit out of nowhere but thank you Zuzana. I love your workout routines! I wrote them down (I don’t have a fancy phone to watch you at my gym)and keep it in my gym bag so I always have a training to do (and a lot of choices!). I like that your workout are fast and hard; I sweat like a pig and I feel the torture :)
    So thank you, you keep me motivated and I can’t wait to try new workout routines!

    Hi Zuzana !I wrote you a comment on the other video of ab torture workout,but I did not get an answer:(I know that there are a lot of comments and that you can`t answer to all of them but this is very important for me and I really need your help so I am going to send you the same comment:)I hope you will help me:) I follow your exercise programs,now I am doing 6 week summer fit,I exercise almoust every day,I am satisfied with my body,exept with my stomach:)I have belly fat or extra skin,I don`t know how to say:)And even my abs are strong they arent visible becouse of the extra skin I have on them:(Can you please help with this?My abs are becoming my nightmare:)I have trye everything,exercising,creams,treatmants,I have even thought about plastic surgery or liposuction:)I have never had flat stomach,it is alwaus hanging over my jeans:)Please help me,what can I do about that/Thanks a lot for your help and for your time.

    Hi Natali,

    I wasn’t trying to ignore you, but I just don’t have time to respond to all comments and I already feel guilty about that. My advice for you is to keep going, because the most problematic areas of your body take the longest to improve. If you have just started with fitness then you can not expect that you will look like a supermodel in 6 weeks. It takes time and a lot of effort and that’s why there aren’t so many people in shape nowadays. It is said but everyone is rather looking for a quick fix then a change in their lifestyle. Please read my articles and F.A.Q’s to have a better understanding about fitness lifestyle in general, it will help you a lot. Kind regards. Zuzana.

    Hi Olga,

    the stretch cables are good to incorporate to bring some change into your routine. I do not recommend to stick only with one piece of equipment or just one type of exercise program. Change is good.

    Hi FlaviaRJ,

    Try to incorporate some difficult body weight exercises like variations of push ups, handstands, and pull ups. Remember that you have to vary the exercises and intensity for maximum results. Don’t go every time for the same amount of reps and sets and don’t go each time for the same amount of weight either.

    Thanks a lot!! I´ll do like you said, I was already variating, but I think that as the time goes I have to vary more, I will do more pull ups, and incorporate the handstands that used to do but i forgot to still continue doing! ^^
    It´s hard and i think I´ll have to make and diary of my exercises to keep variating, thanks a lot for the advice!! When I gt better I´ll make sure you know!! Because you had a great guilt in the improvemment of my lifestyle with your inspiring videos and articles!

    I was looking in you tube and I found some videos of power moves of breack dancing, and a book called: monkey see, monkey do, my intention os not dancing break, but those exercises are really great, should see! ^^

    I am so amazed by you and what you have done with your body! I only dream of accomplishing this. But i run cross country, and i want to lose about 15 pounds. I’ve already lost about 10, but i have hit a plateau. I weigh about 146 and im almost 5 foot 7 inches. I waant to losse about 10 pounds by october 16. what should i be eating to do this? also should i work out on top of cross country? the only time i could squeeze in extra exercise is on the weekend? please help me.

    Hi, i run cross coutnry and have lost about 10 pounds so far, im no 146 pounds and 5 foot 7 inches. i would like to lose 10 to 15 more pounds. how much and what should i be eating to do this. also should i exercise more than i already do? im not sure what to eat to help me lose weight but will still give me the energy i need to run?
    please help me. i would like to lose at least 10 pounds within the next month.

    Anyway, You should not feel guilt over not replying to every post. One of my first questions here was something you touched on in the FAQ and many questions people ask have answers there. Other questions a doctor or health care professional would better answer.

    All your feeling guilty with get you is gray hairs!

    I think the problem with “us” helping is the need seems to be to have you reply. It’s “please, Zuzana” and I seriously get the impression people don’t read other folks posts. For that matter they seem not to read the directions to the workouts all the way thru. Now I have been just as needy and just as lazy at reading as anyone here.

    But, if they do read other folks posts my first suggestion is they look around the site. Check out the FAQ, Diet and Life as both Frederick and Zuzana have some tips that might solve your problem or answer your question.

    Also you can search http://www.bodyrock.tv visa advanced search at Google using the domain name and your keywords. An example: look up Clubbell and Sonnon.

    I think many of people here are capable of helping the others.

    By the way, I did both the segments of ab torture today with several other ab related exercises and didn’t seem to have that burn I usually associated with a good workout. But, later tonight I was surprised by how sore my obliques and over all core was!

    During the workout as an experiment I tried two dumbbells in substitution for the Clubbell doing the “paddles” and they worked fine.

    I guess I will wait till Bodyrock.tv has a direct ordering link to buy Clubbells. Besides I’m not sure what weight to get…yet.

    these clubbells are 10lbs but they are very heavy! If you think that you are in similar shape as me, it might be ok but if you think you might be weaker, then go for lighter ones or one 5lbs and one 10lbs.

    If anyone is looking for a cheaper option of a clubbell, they could bring a baseball bat to a local precision engineer who would have a lathe or a milling machine and they would make them for a lot less?

    these workouts work for all ages,

    I love this side type crunch, I just did a bunch of them and my sides are already sore! I ended up using part of a swiffer handle since i definitely dont have a clubbell or the time or money to get one. it may not weigh anything but i think my sides are working from zero…
