This is the final exercise in the ab torture workout series. Make sure that you do each of these parts back to back – meaning one right after the other with minimal breaks in between (ideally just move from one exercise directly to the next one). If you don’t have a clubbell then you can use a medicine ball or any other free weight for this workout routine.
This exercise that I am doing with the clubell is the diagonal crunch. Watch my grip in the video if you are using the clubbell. The important thing with this exercise is to keep your lower back pressed flat into the mat and your hips steady and locked down. Try to lift one shoulder blade off of the ground while reaching with the weight in your hands towards your opposite hip. The other shoulder should stay on the mat at all times. Complete 20 reps on each side with 100 skips (or another cardio exercise) in between. Repeat this sequence twice and congratulations, you have survived my ab torture workout :)

Amazing workout series and you always pick the most motivating scenery! I’m putting together a new workout for myself and my question is, How long does it take you to do all 5 parts of this workout? I ask because I think i’ll have to do this workout all by itself and won’t have time to incorporate it with any other exercises for the day. Plus it looks hard….all the credit to you for making it seem so easy. :) Thanks for providing another helpful workout.

I did this whole workout today morning. It is great! A lot of cardio – skips – I love skipping so it is made right for me :).
And the exercises…oh my, I can fell the abs now!

It took me exactly 40 minutes to finish it, but I was doing it first time, so I was learning the proper form of exercises and stuff…Next time I hope for some better timing!

Want 2 know how long the whole ab torture series took you?I completed all 5,2sets each side with 100 skips between 2day and it took 38min.Not as hard as I thought it would be,the real proof will be in the days 2come:)hahaha!but if Im not feelin it should I increase reps or wieght? I did the best I could and making it the faster I was able to, but it seems that I suck, it took me about to 1.25 hrs to complete the whole 5 series :S… I should be faster the next time I think. By the way, the hardest part for me were the skips xD tomorrow for sure I will be feeling the abs work, but I really didn’t feel that burn in my abs I was expecting… lets see tomorrow how do I feel :P

hey !! i love your videos i just watched this one and im going to do it tonight, i think you should make a new video of a full out work out that works all of your body each part in one work out that i could do every night , before summer, but that doesnt need very props, cause i only have like a skipping rope and a yoga mat, nothing else really so if you could do like not very many props! that would be sweet

I wonder if I did something wrong. I used one of my 10lb weights to do these ab workouts, but I didn’t feel much of anything until I did workouts 4/5 and 5/5. Maybe I did them wrong? I watched your every move and tried to copy it exactly. I don’t know, honestly. When working the abs I want them to burn so bad that I can’t continue anymore unless I take a 10-15 second breather, this one barely made me sweat…the only thing that made me sweat was the 100 skips. Don’t take this the wrong way, because I’m sure it’s just something I did wrong.

This is SO much harder than it looks. I actually had two of your workouts ready to go because i thought it ‘wouldnt be enough of a challenge’. LoL, was i ever wrong :)
So i thought i was going to throw up by the third exercise (way more out of shape than i thought), but i kept it up and i am very thankful that the last two workouts invovled somewhat lying down … u didn that on purpose didnt u… :) I dont even know how long it took – a long time…but i made it :)
Anyways, I did this on my driveway with my mat. Met lots of neighbours that were running/walking – trying to get into shape. One may join me tomorrow! Wouldnt it be great if a bunch of people started joining me! I’m spreading the word of your website – please believe!
Instead of using a clubell, i used two 5lbs each ankle weights wrapped around my hands and pictured a barbell and held it and directed it how the barbell would be directed (i found this was key in targetting the muscles proeprly – the whole “perception of the clubbell”, for some strange reason).
Anyways, this is the first time i enjoyed a workout in a very very long time. Thank you.
Oh i did have a hard time with the second exercise – i think i need to look up the technique – instead i did like 30 sidebends x 4 with 10lbs weights in each hand.
Oh and i did have to drop the weights for the third exercise second half, but i picked them up again for 4th and 5th.
