As I have mentioned in the video, I will be taking it easy for the next 10 days until I get my tooth pulled out and recover completely. Yesterday I felt sick after the workout which is not what you should be experiencing after exercising. Even tho the workout is brutally hard, you should feel energized after you post workout shower. It is a good lesson to learn – never push yourself hard when you have a health issue, because you can just make your condition worse. For the next 10 days while I recover, I will share with you how I am keeping active. I will also give you some new recipes and diet tips. Don’t wait for me and keep going with your workouts. You can choose any of the older routines or rotate through the last 4 workouts until I will be able to pick it up again. I am hoping that by next friday I will be able to update with a new workout and from that point we will be working out together regularly the way we should be. Did you know that I haven’t had this much time off from my workouts since we started BodyRock.Tv? I probably deserve this vacation, but I can’t explain how much I am looking forward to being back on track. Sport can become an addiction.
See you soon in the next diet video,
Zuzana.

i’m so proud of you that you’re taking it easy! it’s so easy to over-do it. thank you so much for your website. you are such an inspiration to me!! I hope you feel better soon!
Hope the rest does you well. Feel better.
Hi Zuzana and Frederick!
Zuzana-After seeing your Wednesday routine, I was amazed that even though you weren’t feeling well you still pushed yourself to workout and post a video. Although, I’m sorry your still feeling under the weather, I’m happy to see that your taking a break and listening to your body during this time! Knowing how much you love the sport, I think that shows greater strength than to force yourself. I just want to thank both you and Frederick for the videos and all the blogging on your site, it is very helpful. Zuzana, you are truly an inspiration!! :D I also was curious as to what has happened to the iphone bodyrock app? I used to have it and now it’s no longer available. Feel better soon!
Hi Zuzana! Im sorry that you don’t feel well. I really hope you get better soon and take all the time you need. I just wanted to say that i loved the Body Type article. It finally helped me understand why it is so hard for me to build muscle even though i’m fairly skinny. And, to top that, i am also a vegetarian. So it is really hard for me to eat all the protein i must eat daily to build muscle. I was wondering if you knew any protein supplements (i think they call it protein powder, right?) that would work for a vegetarian ectomorphic like me :D. But, it scares me a little that i should gain the weight in bodyfat instead of muscle. Please, Help!! Thank you soo much!
PS: Get well soon! Looking forward to new vegetarian recipes! :D
Hi Zuzana,
i really enjoy your site. I think you have a great body :-)
I hope you feel better soon!!
hi Zuzana,
i hope you’re ok now. i’ll think about you on tuesday. my cousin just had throat surgery and she’s at the hospital so i know that it’s not nice go get surgery. i also was at the hospital for a kidney stone a few weeks ago. so i’ll think about you. i know it’s gonna be alright and you’ll feel better soon.
your diet videos are gonna be a big help for me because i never know what to cook and what’s the right amount for me to eat.
well take care beauty and come back even stronger.
XXX, LisaG
Dear Zuzana,
please please, just don`t be said!!!
I can see that you feel terrible because of missing out your workouts.
Well, that`s life, it is perfectly normal to miss here and then, and
be happy that you are healthy in other ways, so when the tooth will be removed you will be able to continue working out.
There are many positive things in your workout free-days, like as you mentioned, you will be focusing on some other things in life which are no less important as working out.
Truly, I am looking forward your diet related videos, maybe even more than workout videos (at least at this moment), because, I have so many your fitness routines now! It`s so easy to choose between them, actually it`s hard, because I don`t know how to decide which one to choose, there are so many. And they are all superb!!!
So please, get well, relax and enjoy your rest! On Tuesday will will be thinking about you!
Hugs & Kisses,
Tina
Good for you for knowing when to rest and nurture your immune system. Restorative yoga sequences are excellent for bringing balance to you immune system and to calm and restore your nervous system also.
Zuzana, I am SOO glad you feel ok about taking some time off. It is very important to listen to your body :) I could tell you were not feeling 100% because you weren’t moving your mouth very much in the last workout viddeo. I was feeling so bad for you as did the workout. This is a great opportunity to rest and work on other areas of life maybe.
On another note- even though I usually love to lift heavy, I have loved doing your Rock Your Body workout as an alternative to mix things up. One thing that has totally changed for me since I’ve watched your videos is that i hardly ever do any form of cardio on a machine- I only do many of the body weight exercises you’ve shown at a quick pace. It has made such a difference and it is never boring! I can do woodchops and similar exercises anytime and get a good cardio workout. love it! Thank you and be blessed!
Along with my background in fitness, I have had a lifelong interest (passion really) in traditional Chinese medicine. The most basic element of TCM is chi, which can be translated as life force. Everything in existence is animated and sustained by chi, and everything has it’s unique chi signature and chi capacity.
At the moment your chi is being diverted to the infected tooth and the systemic effect the infection is having on your entire body. In other words your chi busy trying to establish homeostasis, and you need to use your life force with cation so that your body can control the infection.
This is a great time to be reflective, meditate, sleep, practice a little easy yoga or chi gong if you know any. Sometimes illness in opportunity.
If you can find powdered goldenseal, put 1/4 teaspoon on a little warm water and rinse your mouth several times a day. If you can find echinacea extract take two droppers full three times a day. If you like garlic try to include it in cooking twice a day.
Best wishes
Robert M.,
thank you for your advice, I appreciate it.
Z,
I’m glad that you decided to share with us your reasons for taking it easy. Too often in our efforts to maintain our workout routine we push ourselves when we are sick which is never a good idea. You are correct, the immune system IS working on fighting your infection. I do hope you recover swiftly. I have now stopped going to the gym as well :-)
I have your workouts as a guide and i have already tweeked my eating habits. I am eating smaller and more frequently. I hope you continue what you’re doing…Tina is right…you are also my role model. When i am laying on the floor and the willpower is going during my workout i think of your endurance and dedication. This gives me support to continue.
I’m grateful that i found your videos….by the way..i tried one of your recipes…the sandwhich with the pear and veges…it was delicious. (i would never have thought)
Till the next video…feel better and take your vitamins :-)
Mel.
One more thing…
i think you being in good health shows. For someone who is sick you look great. So good health and taking care of yourself (mind, body and soul) is indeed important.
It shows! You mentioned your age in your video for wrinkle cream, i thought we were the same age (24)…maybe if we all take care of our selves we’ll keep looking great as well.
Hopefully we can all learn a lesson or too from you.
:-) Mel.
My pleasure. Blessings.
(((Zuzana))) I hope everything goes smoothly, especially your recovery.
Zuzanna – Thanks for posting & the workouts. i know i cannot wait for the next post.
To Alexandra, im VEGAN and i know a lot of great ways to get protein easily – one thing im currently in love with are the CLIF bars — i get the ‘builder’ bars (20g of protein). they taste really good and make a really amazing snack, it’s better than a supplement. just for an example of other sources: there are grains like quinoa & vegetables like kale – i think you just have to do some research at times.
Hi Zuzana,
It’s important that we all listen to our bodies and if yours is telling you to rest obey it.
The Doctor should have given you a prescription, which I hope you are taking as prescribed.
Get well!!!
And we can live a short time with the video workouts you have already made! If you feel up to teaching us some Yoga that would be great. Maybe Frederick could step before the camera and do some workouts (I’m sure one of your tops would look lovely on him). 8-)
My best to you both,
–Chris
How do you expect to produce a new workout 365 days a year? You have got to pace yourself, so don’t feel guilty about taking time off. We all love your videos, it’s good to go back over past videos and review the training.
It’s the fundemental principal of body building to tear down the muscle one day, then rest the next so our muscle can re-grow. Intense workouts would be good on alternate days. Sometimes I alternate strength training one day, and then aerobics or hiking the next day.
The triad to fitness must include 3 components: exersize, diet, and rest. It’s so important is it to get a good night’s sleep. Do you have any tips for better nights sleep?
Maybe you could take a video tour the island on your day’s off, we would all love to see more of Malta. Even just the ocean, hills, blue sky, with some narration.
Hope your operation goes well, and you feel better soon.
Wisdom teeth are such a pain! I had all four removed a year ago…
Whatever you do after getting getting your tooth pulled, DO NOT drink out of a straw. It can dislodge the blood clot that forms to heal the area and you will suffer from EXCRUCIATING pain… Just wanted to remind you because a lot of people either don’t know this or they forget…. Best of luck to you and your healing!
Hi Zuzana and Frederick, Zuzana, I did your last workout(Wed), it was tough, tough, you amaze me that you could do that tough workout and be sick, you’re definitely fit. I’m glad you’re taking time off to get well, and I look forward to your diet videos, because we all know how and what you eat is important for healthy fitness goals. See you on Friday and feel better

Hi Zuzana,
Take your time to rest. I think it may take a bit more than a week, so don’t rush it. And again thanks for making this site, it has helped me a lot to make my whole body work out (after the abs torture workout they were sore for almost a week, yet when I was finished I thought it didn’t do anything, so I think I overdid it!). I’ll be following your site regularly.
And it’s nice to see you outside of your workout routine too, you look lovely! Love the hair;)
Take care
Hi I’ve been using your workouts for a few months now and I love them! The mix of resistance and cardio together really makes you feel like you are working hard. Thanks for making this site I’m really enjoying it. I hope you feel better soon and everything goes well with your tooth! Good luck!
U told us to listen to our body, u shouldn’t have pushed yourself too much too!
Take care n have more fun after this “long” rest.
Cheers~
Very sound advise. Feel better soon & have a speedy recovery! xo

Please take care of yourself and take it WAY easy till you’re recovery.
All the best,

Hi Zuzana!
Please rest and take it easy!!! Your body will heal faster that way!
I can’t wait to have more recipe and diet tips from you!!!!!
xx, Denise :D
very good decision it is good to take a break to live the body recover to get helth again, and to help yourselve I recomend you the yoga meditation with a nice relax music, give you 5 min. in the morning and other 5 in the night with an empty stomag, take a lot of water and don’t worry if you think you’ll be ok then you will very soon.
My best wishes to you..
Zuzana,
I watched a couple of the videos from the past, oh yeah, it was the one about your diet, and you said that you gave up a lot of your old bad habits. I’m interested to know how long you have been working on your fitness and if you could post some before pictures. I couldn’t find my questions regarding where your dogs are after you have relocated, where are the babies?
Get well! Pineapple juice is very healthy for healing the mouth after you’ve have dental work.
Zuzana, I am always so impressed with you! I am sorry to hear that the wisdom tooth is beating you down, but I love that you are responding so well and not losing your focus on health. So, many people allow setbacks or discomforts to draw them away from their goals. You are inspirational, as well as beautiful.
REST!! That means “NO WORKING,NO EXERCISING”. Let your body do its job of fighting off the infection. I don’t think you should be doing the “DIET VIDEOS” either. Concentrate on health recovery. We will miss you, but I’d rather you help yourself first. My prayers are with you.
Hi Zuzana,
Since I mentioned chi gong in my comment yesterday, I have been trying to find a simple form that you could learn on line. It took a while, but I found a video on You Tube of a very simple and beautiful form called Five Elements Chi Gong. Even if you just learned the first three to five movements it would be very beneficial for your healing and overall health. It will help circulate and develop your energy (chi) without depleting your energy. If you decide to try it, take your time, breath rhythmically and enjoy. (Be careful with the forward bending movements, as they may increase the pain in your tooth. You may want to leave them out for now.)
Best wishes

if you can enjoy the rest period, (push the guilt aside) working out, then moving, working out all the excitement, exhaustion, sure something had to give and make you rest. Good idea with diet videos, look forward to them. Rock on later sister!
Feel better!
Hi, Zuzana,
i would like to know is, can i drink a cup of coffe with milk 30 min bevore i do a training. That’s the first thing i do in the morning and i’m not sure i wanna get rid of it. But i also do my training in the morning. What you think about it? Please write me on my e-mail, to be sure that i’ll get the answer.
Thanks a lot.
Katerina
Hi Katerina,
I drink a cup of coffee with a little bit of skimmed milk before my workouts as well. Drinking coffee is not the healthiest habit tho. I do my best with my diet and I think that I still pay more attention to what I eat than most people do.
Hi Zuzana and Frederick,
I don’t know if you would be into posting older pictures of yourself (Zuzana), sort of a before and after look into your fitness.
More on your dogs would be something fun to do, didn’t Scott Sonnon promise you folks a guest article (hopefully on Clubbells) and you folks are sitting right in the middle of the Mediterranean the source of many of the historical pieces of exercise equipment we use today, seems that there is an article waiting to be written on this history.
Like just northwest of you is Sicily and there is this Villa there that has many mosaics. In one in particular most people wonder at the fact that it shows Bikini clad girls exercising, but I find the fact that it shows one girl holding Dumbbells more amazing! This mosaic was done in the 4th Century! Of course when my ancestors came to “visit” Italy they Vandalized the place.8-) Sorry!
–Chris
HI CL,
I am definitely not into posting my before pictures :) that will never happen. The rest of your ideas are more interesting.
you look great, Thank you for your help.
Hi Phoebus and Everyone,
Our body is an amazing machine and much more, like that spiritual stuff…chi, soul or consciousness, what have you. When we exercise it makes us feel really good afterword with our own body made opiates. So it’s not impossible to see someone ignoring the body’s need to rest.
Also, I think Zuzana being sort of our drill instructor makes it harder for her to rest. She and Frederick must keep their workouts commitment to us just as we must keep ours own personal commitment to them. As an example of my own commitment, I send a very small amount of money each month to them (paypal) as a show of gratitude for their hard work here. It’s not much, but it makes me feel good.
Besides, the troops might become unruly if not keep busy working out.8-)
Another way of putting all this is, Zuzana maybe a really nice physical specimen but the key word here is physical. So just because she is a few thousand miles closer to Mount Olympus now doesn’t mean she really lives there!
Best wishes,
–Chris

[...] Here is the original post: Focusing On Diet For The Next 10 Days | Fitness Advice, Workout … [...]
Hope you feel better soon Zuzana!!
I Suzanna,
I am in France, I discovered your website last week through youtube….
Given that I found no”contact” fonction on your website i will post my question here.
I am a 32 years old french guy, keen of martial arts and strenghtening exercises designed for martial arts.
I think it is a good thing that you speak about the importance of having a rest, of diet, sleeping and other daily life life habits… We do not always hear about it (for me it is some necessary elements as necessary as the exercises for the global efficience of the training) So your articles about thoses issues are interesting I think.
I completely agrée with you: if after the “post training shower” we feel tired and not energized, I think it means we “urgently” need to have a break/rest….
My question, if you have time, is as follows:
is it normal that i feel tired after 4 “hindu squats” sessions in the same week? ( I needed one week rest afterwards, even if I have been training daily in other strengthening exercises for several months…)
I found almost no informations in french about hindu squats…. On the english sites I also found a few informations, some people saying we should not do hindu squat more than twice a month because too intense….
What would be your advice? Is hindu suqat really so intense that we dont have to do it often? Or is it possible to do them on a weekly/daily basis without “injury/burnout” if we adapt this exercise to a medium/slow speed ?? ( I only did 30 reps a day, four times a week and it completely “burnt” my legs during for days after stopping…..hopfeully I have recovered now)
Though I never had problems with “dive bombers” and with “hindu push ups” (i do them weekly, never too much and it’s okay for me….)
And last , let me congratulate you for your “sumo push ups” youtube video: this push up is really wonderful for martial arts (a lot of things to explore in this push up : balance, coordination and so on…)…. it’s my favorite one since I adopted it… thanks for having shared it with us…
have a good rest/recovery
Bye
Benoit
Hi Benoit,
I don’t have experience in training with other people. I know only what I read online or from books which doesn’t make me an expert. All I can give you is my own opinion on this subject. I believe that you should take a very individual and personal approach to your own training. It is possible that your body got tired from different reasons then just 4 sessions of hindu squats? Environment, stress, bad eating habits – all that could be another reason to feel extremely tired. I am sure that hindu squat is a very intensive exercise, but so are the hindu push ups or dive bombers. Have you been training hindu squats before you have incorporated 4 sessions of this exercise in one week? That could be another reason why your body got exhausted. You can start with one session a week and increase the amount of sessions after 6 weeks or so and see how that goes. Basically all I am trying to say is that, you can get all kinds of advice from different people, but they are not you and you are not them. What works for them doesn’t have to work for you. There are people who have never warmed up before their workouts and never had any problems or injuries and there are also people who are just so stiff that they would hurt themselves for sure if they didn’t warm up. Listen to your own body and don’t do too much too fast. Increase the intensity gradually and keep notes to see what is your training doing for you.
hi Zuzana,
i hope you’re feeling ok today. hope your surgery went well.
take care
see you soon
best, LisaG
Hi LisaG,
I am feeling great and I will start with my workouts tomorrow again. I didn’t get the surgery, because my mouth was still not healed yet and the doctor told me that we can do it anytime. The pain has gone away and the swelling almost too. I think that I will have the tooth taking out for Christmas as a present since the cost will be at least 200 euros :) I think that’s the best time to do it anyway since no one likes to exercise during this peaceful time. I like to be very quiet myself during Christmas and just sit at home and watch old movies and fairy tails. Anyways, I am talking too much ;) Thanks for writing me, take care.
I wonder what has happened to your iPhone app. Ever since you moved it hasn’t worked again. It was my main way of keeping in contact with this website. Have you any plans to reactivate it?
This said, congratulations and thank you for your exercise videos. They are an inspiration for my workouts. :)
