Hi guys,
My workout for today was the Ab Blitz Workout that I did on December 18 – you can check out the workout here. My old record for this routine was 30 minutes and 34 seconds. Today I have completed the workout in 29 minutes and 51 seconds. I was using my cool pink Gymboss Interval Timer to keep time as usual.
Yesterday we were talking about celebrities, their butts and inspiration in general. Some of you have pointed out that the most powerful inspiration for you are the people around you in your day to day lives. It’s not that the celebrities are not real people, but the image of them that we get to see is often unrealistic and of course most of the time we realize that. In today’s video I share with you a person who has been one of my real life inspirations. I am sure that you guys have people around you as well who inspire you on many different levels. Who are they and why do they inspire you? Is it more their inner strength or their appearance? Leave me your thoughts on this in the comments below.
Sweet Pepper Chicken
This is a very very simple recipe based on an old Czech specialty - Kure na paprice. Originally this recipe requires white flour, cream, sour cream, and dumplings. I made just a few basic adjustments to make this meal less fatty and more healthy without loosing the great taste. There is no reason why we shouldn’t enjoy our meals and eat tasty food. If you can keep your portions small, then you don’t have to be worried about getting fat. For girls out there: eat like a lady not like a pig :) It sounds harsh, but this sentence is always in my mind when I eat and it’s helping me.

You will need olive oil (about 2-3 table spoons), 4 large onions, sweet ground pepper, 3 chicken legs, salt, 150g of natural white yogurt, water, rolled oats, milk (optional), whole wheat pasta.
You will need a big pod. Heat up the olive oil in the pod and add the chopped onions. Don’t cut your fingers like me when you are cutting the onions :) If you have too many tears in your eyes I recommend to put the knife down.
Stir the onions for about 5 minutes and then add 2 full table spoons of sweet pepper. Add about 3 pinches of salt and place the chicken legs in the pod right on the onions. Add about 2 cups of water, cover the pod with a lid and let the chicken stew until it’s cooked. It will take about 40 minutes. Make sure that the water doesn’t cook off, so that you won’t burn the chicken and onions.

When the chicken is done, take it out of the pod and put it to the side. Take the yogurt and add it into the stew. Mix it well and add rolled oats to make the sauce thick. How much oats you will need depends on how much water you have in the pod. You can use milk to thin the sauce down if you need to. I didn’t have to use the milk at all. What you might like is also a little bit of fresh lemon juice to get the sweet and sour taste. Make sure that the sauce is salty enough and place the chicken legs back into the pod.
Serve with cooked whole wheat pasta. Enjoy your meal.
Zuzana.

Hey Zuzana!
Well first my name is Silviu i’m from Romania.
I like your blog and thaught it was a good chance to get some answers.
My personal inspiration is BruceLee.Since the age of 6 I went to several martial art schools now i’m 17…I train as you,for health, stamina, agility and looks, but i am alsow training for defense and resistance.I know thats not your fields of expertize, but the real reason i am sending this reply is because i’ve made a passion for the sport and training and i want to be able to share it with other people, like you do on youtube and your blog.
So…i want to know if you have your Gim or if you teach at any gym,and if so i want to know how did you do it…a few tips on how can i make the same, and how to aproach people.I studied anatomy, medical treatments and fitness.
I intend to grow up in skils and make my own Gym and teach autodefence, and healthy good looking fitness.First i want to go on the fitness side, because i think people should live a healthy good looking life, thats my point of view :).
Ok so…how did you do it and how long did it take,i’l be happy and thankfull if you can reply me back :).
Till next time,your student Silviu.
Hey Zuzana, 4 the onions, if you chew gum you will not cry. I have also heard that if you soak or run them under cold water it will work also. (haven’t had much luck with that)
I remember watching a video where you were making cookies(mmm):P They were sticking to your hands. Well, if you take just a little flour & put it on your hands they won’t stick as much. Just make sure that after you lotion up real good because flour can dry out your hands. :(
I tried to post this comment before but something happened & i don’t think it was put up. I just wanted to give you a tip. (besides I can kinda ramble so I am glad if it didn’t get posted.LOL) My computer went out for a minute & then I couldn’t get back on the net for a while so whew!!
Any how I love what you r doin here. You are a very sweet lady ;)

Just want you to know after watching your 550 Rep workout I was amazed at the shape you are in. I was also born in the Czech Republic and came to Canada when I was 6. I have trained most of my life and know how much work and dedication it takes. Keep up the awesome work and healthy Czech recipes are always greatly appreciated. Have an awesome day!

My family eats something very similar, called “chicken paprikash.”
If I’m trying to make it lower fat though I’d rather use bonless skinless chicken breast instead of cutting out the sour cream. Sour cream is f***ing amazing.
My mom inspires me.She used to be overweight 200lbs 15years ago, but she started exercising and eating healthy (she is now 110lbs, 5″2). Like you aunt, she does cleaning at a hotel there in Canada. She works between 10 – 12hrs a day cleaning rooms, but still does her fitness routine 5am in the mornings or after a hard day at work.
She’ll be 53years old this June and for the last 15years, regularly workout 3-5 days per week. She is more than than an inspiration to me, she is my superhero.
Its really nice to see a beautiful, smart and hard working woman. You have the ability to encourage people to make effort to “upgrade ” their lifes.Nice job and take it easy
“chicken paprikash” is a hungarian food, isn’t it? I love this version (almost the same:) too
I know that dish as well – I grew up in Austria and we made chicken paprikash!! YUM
Hi Zuzana,
Nice to see you are incorporating Czech cuisine on your site! I came upon this site through YouTube. Which was totally random by the way. I used to workout every year and mostly start in January and by June I would be happy with the results and quit until next year! I admit, not the best way to do things. I’ve always had a good body, but it wasn’t until I just turned 28 that I realized my metabolism is starting to slow down. I have begun yesterday and my goal is to get back in shape and stay in the workout routine all year round. I hope your site will encourage me to stick with it as I see some new strategies in workingout. My celebrity inspiration will have to be Shakira as she is in great shape and I believe she is 33. So if she looks great at 33, why should I not be at 28? As far as real life inspirations, I have many all around myself and I feel lucky to be around them. However, I truely believe that if you want something done, you have to do it yourself. Whether that means getting back in shape, getting your dream job, or as simple as treating yourself to something nice. Anyhow, I will be willing to do before and after photos of myself, and show you the results if you like! Thank you for your site, Catherine
You are my new inspiration!
Hey Zuzana !
I tried this recipe today and it was soo yummy :)
Everybody loved it. ^^
I hope there will be more great recipes in the future.
Thanks for this one. ;)
Love, Meike from rainy Germany
God bless you!
I can’t wait to try this recipe. It looks so good!
I noticed one little thing, instead of pod, do you mean pot? :)
I speak three languages so I know how hard it is to communicate in your non native language, so hope you don’t think its rude that I pointed this out.
Hi, I love and really enjoy watching your workout routines. They are extremely helpful. I just have one major question, what is you career? What do you do other than excercise? Or r u a fitness instructor?
Ahoj Zuzko, kdy máš narozeniny?? Zajímalo by mě to :-)), díky :-)
