My Personal Inspiration And My Czech Lunch Recipe

Hi guys,

My workout for today was the Ab Blitz Workout that I did on December 18 – you can check out the workout here. My old record for this routine was 30 minutes and 34 seconds. Today I have completed the workout in 29 minutes and 51 seconds. I was using my cool pink Gymboss Interval Timer to keep time as usual.

Yesterday we were talking about celebrities, their butts and inspiration in general. Some of you have pointed out that the most powerful inspiration for you are the people around you in your day to day lives. It’s not that the celebrities are not real people, but the image of them that we get to see is often unrealistic and of course most of the time we realize that. In today’s video I share with you a person who has been one of my real life inspirations. I am sure that you guys have people around you as well who inspire you on many different levels. Who are they and why do they inspire you? Is it more their inner strength or their appearance? Leave me your thoughts on this in the comments below.

Sweet Pepper Chicken

This is a very very simple recipe based on an old Czech specialty  - Kure na paprice. Originally this recipe requires white flour, cream, sour cream, and dumplings. I made just a few basic adjustments to make this meal less fatty and more healthy without loosing the great taste. There is no reason why we shouldn’t enjoy our meals and eat tasty food. If you can keep your portions small, then you don’t have to be worried about getting fat. For girls out there: eat like a lady not like a pig :) It sounds harsh, but this sentence is always in my mind when I eat and it’s helping me.

ingredients

You will need olive oil (about 2-3 table spoons), 4 large onions, sweet  ground pepper, 3 chicken legs, salt, 150g of natural white yogurt, water, rolled oats, milk (optional), whole wheat pasta.

You will need a big pod. Heat up the olive oil in the pod and add the chopped onions. Don’t cut your fingers like me when you are cutting the onions :) If you have too many tears in your eyes I recommend to put the knife down.

Stir the onions for about 5 minutes and then add 2 full table spoons of sweet pepper. Add about 3 pinches of salt and place the chicken legs in the pod right on the onions. Add about 2 cups of water, cover the pod with a lid and let the chicken stew until it’s cooked. It will take about 40 minutes. Make sure that the water doesn’t cook off, so that you won’t burn the chicken and onions.

chicken-in-pod

When the chicken is done, take it out of the pod and put it to the side. Take the yogurt and add it into the stew. Mix it well and add rolled oats to make the sauce thick. How much oats you will need depends on how much water you have in the pod. You can use milk to thin the sauce down if you need to. I didn’t have to use the milk at all. What you might like is also a little bit of fresh lemon juice to get the sweet and sour taste. Make sure that the sauce is salty enough and place the chicken legs back into the pod.

Serve with cooked whole wheat pasta. Enjoy your meal.

Zuzana.

Hi Zuzana, I love your advice about eating like a lady not like a pig. I have one question, Do you use protein supplements and if so what do you use and when do you use them?
    Thanks Kirsty ***
p.s. I love the simplicity of your workouts, they seem to really work. I think I always try to make my workouts to complicated.

  • Karl_T

    Excellent post Zuzana!
It is so important to discuss inspirations close to your heart. You get to see what motivates people and why they behave they way they do. An example in my life has to be my mother’s foster parents. They took my mother out of an orphanage aged 7, she had had a particularly deprived start to life. Through their passion for learning they taught my mother to read and write, got her into a grammar school where she excelled. At the end of her secondary education my mother gained a place at the University of Leeds, UK (a centre of academic excellence) and went on to become head of year and careers at the same grammar school she was taught in! Not only that, after meeting my father, (who had no education)she taught him English on evenings and got him through his teacher training courses. Just goes to show what can be achieved if people believe in you.

    Hi Guys,

I tried to play this video but i had no sound. I checked my computer speakers and made sure that no sound control was muted but it still didn’t work.

I will keep having a fiddle!!!

I especially enjoyed this post today Zuzana! This blog gets better and better and you have a classiness and a modesty about you that is refreshing. I like how you choose your words and you enjoy the simple pleasures of life. That’s so great. I remember this one person that really inspired me years ago. She worked with me and she was different than the other girls our age. She did her job well, kept out of the gossip, tended very well to herself and carried herself with confidence. The other girls disliked her because she was not only attractive and confident, but she didn’t care what they thought of her. She liked me though and she explained one thing to me that I never forgot..and never will. She said that she was there to watch the kids at the center, not to get caught up in chit chat or meaness about others. She said that she was not there to make friends or get anyone’s approval. She was getting paid to do her job and that’s why she came to work. To do that job well. And she was put together, very sexy and dressed so cute. I was used to seeing someone like that be more superficial and fake. It was becoming on her and so impacted me. She even told me that I engaged in some of the gossip from time to time too, I never did again. I was ashamed. So, I found her inspirational! Her name was Mona.

  • Danielle R.

    Looks yummy ;)

I would have to say one of my inspirations would be my Aunt as well, she takes good care of herself and she puts the effort forward to eat well and workout. She also has a great sense of style! I love her very much, she is like a big sister to me.

  • d

honestly zuzana, i think u inspire me the most, because of how u r so consistant with taking care of urself and staying in great shape, but u also eat as much as any other person and u aren’t starving urself and ur not taking any diet supplements or chemically-filled food to keep ur weight steady :) god looking at ur body and ur beauty makes me so inspired to take care of myself from now on, because eating crappy food makes u feel like CRAP. and u eat what u are they say.
so thanks for being my inspiration.btw i remember i found u last summer when i was looking up healthy recipes on google:)so glad tht i found u,even when i played tennis(which gets wicked intensive)i never had as muscle tht i do now.but i kno tht i still have a long way to go..
    can’t wait until tomorrows workout!!!

  • Pati

My godmother was in a very similar situation when her husband left her with two kids years ago. She also always took care of her kids and herself and although she had to work two jobs she managed to always have nice clothes and look great. Today she’s 45 years old and she has an incredible physique that she works very hard for, she’s my inspiration. Looking at her, I realize that it’s possible to look young and have a toned body at her age. Although I’m still very young, it makes me not fear aging and helps me look forward to the future! Her financial situation has also bettered as years went by so now she takes me shopping with her and she’s also my fashion icon :).

  • James R

Zuzana, Thanks for pointing out that the images we see of celebrities are often unrealistic. You can’t trust many of the photos in magazines and catalogs because they have been Photoshopped. Here are links to a couple of blogs on this subject that people may find amusing and/or outrageous:

http://shakespearessister.blogspot.com/2008/04/impossibly-beautiful_21.html. “impossibly beautiful” says it all.

    http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2009-12-09T13%3A29%3A00-08%3A00&max-results=8

It’s hard enough to have to compare yourself to a real person, but these doctored images set an impossible target. Zuzana, in contrast, provides REAL inspiration.

  • sara

I am going to write that on my fridge, to stop me eating 2 much like i have to day . You are an inspiration for me so thank you for doing this site. i love it. trying the butt work out tomorrow , how many times a week sholud you do the workout for to get a great bum.

  • Dee

    Zuzana,

Thank you for such an inspirationsal video. Your videos are great as they are realistic and it proves you are a “real” person, with hope, dreams like all of us!

The recipe looks amazing and I can’t wait to try it! I have never thought to use rolled oats in a savoury dish. Different, yet effective I’m guessing.

Again, keep up the great work guys. I look forward to you videos every day!

    hi Zuzana!
i really appreciate the way you share your thoughts and tel about ur life. I love listening to you. I think this kind of talks that you do( talking about ur life) is very important as it makes me feel more comfortable and helps me to build more better bond with u which I think is very important. I feel that until you are not bond to other people you cant really realie on them. But i feel that bound with you and thats why i love ur workouts and i follow them religiously.

  • kayla

My other inspiration is you because you have a perfect body and it makes me want to work harder so that I can look like you. oh! and something cool one of my friends is trying to loose weight and she asked me to help her with her diet!

  • Ashley

Lunch looks great! I think it’s amazing what you’re doing and you might not even realize it,but thanks to bodyrock.tv you’re sharing czech cuisine with people (like myself) that before didn’t even know what czech cooking is like. • Ellie

    hi Zuzana

    MY INSPIRATION is YOU!
NO celebs ever inspired me rather they put me on a wrong track.

Here is something that i want to share with you

Zuzana, i hav suffered from eating disorder. My doctor forwarded me to the psychatrist. But i could not afford it. I stay with my aunt. She never figured that i had ED. She was me shrinking but never bothered to ask. I knew that its not worth to live life with ED. I took a firm decision to fight on my own. I needed a true motivation. I looked up to all these celebs but what i saw was skinny celebs. I needed a real inspiration, a real person. I found your video on youtube(my luckiest day). And after seeing ur workout, i knew that there cant be any better inspiration than you. Since then i hv been following your workouts. Some times i still relapse tho but then i look at ur pics and go through your workout. Well i do not see much difference in my body yet but i know one day i will succeed.
Zuzana, you have changed my life, you showed me the right track and you are my true inspiration.

    good bless you XXXXX

    you are awesome :D

  • ashley

    hi Zuzana,
I found that story truly inspiring. My mom is my biggest inspiration and you too are a big motivation in my life.
I love your positive attitude and confidence.
    Keep up the awesome work!

  • Jenn B, Pueblo Colorado

    hi Zuzanna,
the recipe looks so good im going to try it sometime this week! i have alot of great people in my life that inspire me also i learn diffrent things from all of them.
i want to ask you if you happen to do much with kettlebells? i have noticed that you do some workouts that kettlebells can be used in but i have only seen you use bumbells. i was wondering if you can put together a fullbody workout using these?

  • http://www.facebook.com/carlanunesdacosta?ref=profile Carla

    Your necklace is soooo pretty!!!

  • Jenn B, Pueblo Colorado

im sorry but can you also explain what the difference is in using the kettlebell verses Dumbells?
    thanx

  • http://www.bodyrock.tv/ Zuzana – BodyRock.Tv

    Hi Ellie,

I am glad to hear that you are making positive changes in your life. It’s great to be an inspiration for such nice people as yourself :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/carlanunesdacosta?ref=profile Carla

My mother is my inspiration actually. Like your aunt she brought up two children on her own. and that in a completely new country. She worked @ a bar in the evenings and taught me how to read amongst many other things.

Once I told her that each time I read or write it is an ode to her. My poor mom, did not quite know what to do with herself. She was 24 when she had me and today she is 57 years old. She had 2 kids by the age of 28 (I can’t even imagine having one, let alone two as a single parent).

my mother taught me how to take a bus at the age of 6. It was in different times. Although this may have raised some eyebrows, she brought me up to not be afraid, to be responsible (not boring mind you ;-))

it is just so funny how as a kid you have no idea how much a parent is committed and involved. Now I do and I can honestly say that I am who I am because of her. My mother, a strong woman who taught me to stand up for myself.

That’s a great story. It must have been really hard for your mom, but she obviously did a great job. I will be 28 this year and I can’t even imagine so much responsibility.

  • http://www.bodyrock.tv/ Zuzana – BodyRock.Tv

    Hi Kirsty,

I don’t use any supplements. I just eat very nice food all the time :)

Oh, that was just beautiful. What a tribute to your aunt. I hope she gets to hear it. That lunch looks way yummy too. You have beautiful energy also. She (your aunt) really rubbed off on you. :)

  • http://www.carolynbellpilates.com Carolyn Pilates

Being in the fitness industry, I am fortunate to have many around me that inspire me to excel physically.

My Master Teacher, Pat, had a health crisis that resulted in multiple abdominal surgeries this year. It was awe inspiring to see her work back to the 100s (the first mat exercise in Pilates)after being an elite athlete and dancer for 5 decades. I learned to not take my physical abilities for granted. And if she can conquer the 100s again after teaching Pilates teachers for 30 years, I can apply that same determination to grueling workouts at BodyRock/tv and improving my overall health!

I owe you a debt of gratitude – I learned I have reduced my body fat 4 % (17% fat loss) points since Nov. I attribute a good deal of this accomplishment to the the BodyRock workouts and eating clean, a concept I first learned about here on the website.

    Thank you.

  • http://www.korea-diva.com Claudine

Amy, Smile2DayTears2Moro on YouTube is one person who has inspired me. I watched her on YouTube since I started videos on there two years ago. I watched her reach her goal weight over that time, as I started and stopped in reaching my own goals! Her sense of humor an free spirit is the best. I don’t know her in person, but she is kind of silly like me :) You have become an additional inspiration for me. I am close to my own goal weight now, and I want to be toned and the best that I can be physically. I look forward to working out with you virutally :)

  • Eric R.

Sorry about your finger, hope it heals quickly :)

I love your videos and enjoy the quality, progression and evolution of them and the BodyRock website. I’d love to see a Facebook page for you as well some day.

You are quite an inspiration as well, so keep it going!

  • kimberliev

My brother inspires me. On Nov 5th at Fort Hood, TX, he used his body to cover a Sgt. who had been shot in the chest. He took 3 bullets for him which tore up his intestines, bladder and colon. When I finally got to him in the hospital he had breathing tubes, a tube in his neck, feeding tubes, chest monitors, I.V.’s, and tubes coming from his bladder and also a catheter. Not to mention the incision from his chest all the way down to his pubic line, where they cut him open to determine how much damage the bullets had done. They had to cut out a couple feet of his intestines, his bladder was totally shot through and they had to detach his lower intestines until he is healed enough to be put back together. He was on all the pain medication they could give him, plus a morphine drip which still did not touch the intense spasms he would have every 10 minutes or so. I spent day and night crumpled up in the chair next to him, holding his hand through all the pain. Despite all the pain and trauma he had been through, as soon as the doctors ok’d it, he worked so hard to get up and walk every day to get stronger. Though he has more surgeries ahead of him to put his insides back together he continues to get stronger and stronger every day. I kind of always remember him as the nintendo obsessed kid he was when we were in high school together. But now, I see him as a strong man. If he can survive all that and deal with the pain, I can certainly deal with a few crunches.

  • Amanda A

Hi Zuzanna! im so glad you brought this subject up-i never really appreciate all that my mother and aunt put themselves thru to get where they are today.
When i was 8 my mother lost her left leg due to diabetes, because it was cut above her knee she cant walk too much or excerise. Before that even happened she worked sooo much, her boss was screwy with her work schedule and would purposely keep her weekends because she was the best in the housekeeping department. My mom couldnt complain because she’d been there 10 yrs and could not afford to quit because she was the only income with low money&expensive rent. She managaed to crawl out of bed at 430 and work til 230 and still cook, clean, play with me(a lil). I was dressed nicely, well fed, doing studies…On weekends we would go shopping, it was the best times ever since she was allll mine! She always speaks of college and high hopes for me. Right now i am doing college&high school to get ahead in credits. I work very hard now because i think of all she did for me and that my school work is not nearly as hard as her physical labor. I am able to push myself thru school and exercise because sure one minute some celebs bod is in my mind but my mothers loss is something i see as an opportunity. I want to do everything my mother couldnt, and more. She always tells me she wants the best for me. though she takes it easy on me i always tell her of my dreams and she allows me to accomplish them, like europe travels. it looks good on transcript and is wonderful experience i can relive with and for her. I hope you share with your aunt how you feel or show her your video, she may cry though of joy-then all you do is hug and say you love her :)

I also have a quick question, im starting back with routines-but slowly this time. when i do squats/lunges/yoga-certain poses, my knees crack like crazy and LOUD. There is no pain but its annoying(&embarrasing). Do you think this will go away as i strengthen back up? today i did your recent workout but lowered the reps and did super easy version &half squats/lunges. Has this ever happened to you?

Thank you! I plan to make this recipe :)And tell my mom how much she truly means!

  • Joanne Jang

    That looks really good zuzanna!
I will have to try soon! :)
    Thanks for the recipe!

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/D2AStar Darius, 84-PL

    Hi Zuzana
This is a very wise about inspiration. Because the people who inspire us, really, give our life’s goal, which we are trying to achieve.
My mum raised me in a communist country, and just like my father, she came from less affluent familie.
Much to tell here.. I think that my parents are the inspiration for me: if only because of the fact that I write to you in English.

But I can’t forget that every time I meet someone who inspires me. Most inspire me, people who don’t have anything themselves, help others in need.

I have a question for You:
Zuzana, are you using additional stimulation of muscle growth?
I know that fitness has its own rules, specific diet and regular meals, etc.
Due to my fast metabolism, I can not practice bodybuilding, :(
however beyond the basic exercises (pumps, weights, abs, squats), I noticed improved efficiency, since practicing Yoga!

  • http://msn Norman Ellison

    Privet Zuzana,

A lady friend at work told me about your exercise program and I think I will try it. I am actually in quite good shape but, with my work…I am an architect who travels internationally quite a lot…I do not get as much exercise as I would like. I will also try your recipes because I enjoy cooking!
I must tell you that my mother was from Czechoslovakia, born in Brno, and graduated with a Doctorate in Philosophy, Summa Cum Laude, from Praha University. She was the most brilliant lady I have ever met…and with etiquette, class and a knowledge of everything! She was also a concert pianist…”on the side”. Anyway…when you talk your accent sounds very similar to hers…I really enjoy it! I was in Czechoslovakia when it was still behind the Iron Curtain. I will have to go back now that it is “liberated”. I also went before the split between the Czech Republic and Slovakia…a split my mother could never understand. The Czech Republic has technology…Slovakia an agrarian society. They worked so well symbiotically!
I was born in Vienna, Austria and the first language my mother taught me was German. Since then I lived in Paris and speak fluent French! I also know quite a bit of Russian and Chinese. I lived in China for 2 years…and have traveled in Russia and Ukraine quite a lot! I especially enjoy eastern Europe!!!
This message is probably really too long…but I like to write!
I just finished Mikhail Bulgakov’s book “The Master and Margarita”…it was fantastic!!!
Anyway…being half-Czech is a real joy to me…the history and culture of that country is phenomenol! The other half of me is Swedish.
I don’t know if you the time to respond…but…if you don’t…I would rather have no response rather than a “form letter” from one of your staff.
    Paka…Paka…Norman

p.s. My mother also was a terrific cook of tasty Czech dishes!

  • Yanna

    ZUZANA!!! It’s Yanna again. =D

I have to tell you something amazing! This week I about died because I fit into my size 4 pants! I could not believe it. I said I would wait till summer because it will take a while. Well I love the wash so I had to retry them on and I didn’t have to do the dance (hobble back and forth until your legs fit!!).
Your workouts are working and my body looks great. I can see abs forming and my bum is nice and firm!
<33 Thanks for this awesome website!

  • Niki

My inspiration…. would have to be my toddler! I want to be as healthy as I can be for her! as well as provide her with a healthy role model that isn’t some fake airbrushed lady on the cover of a magazine or in her favorite tv show! when she gets to that age where her appearance is something she will start to take notice of I want her to see herself as strong, healthy, and beautiful no matter what! and I want to know that my healthy way of life is what helped her to be that way :)

  • Maggy

I agree with the other comments above, you have been a great inspiration to us all.
Personally, I think it’s that positive energy you transmit in your videos. And since I’ve stumbled into your website I’ve learned that exercise and staying healthy is a way of life, not some modern fashion or a New Year’s resolution; that we have to will power to be disciplined and organized; to enjoy the process and learn from it, not just focus on the goal… and well I’ve learnt so many things from you guys, thanks Zuzana and Frederick for creating a community where we can interact with each other, solve our doubts, share our experiences, and have this kind of feedback.

You guys have earned our hearts, and I’m proud of people like you that have this kind of positive impact on others =)

    With love from Mexico,
    Maggy

  • zeliah

zuzana how come Best 20 Minute Cardio Workout is in the members only section? are all those videos only for paying members now? =(

    you’re my inspiration!

  • Christie

Hello there, you recipe looks really good and I want to try it, but I have never used sweet ground pepper, I even goggled it and cant find anything. It looks really red, is it the same as paprika? thanks a bunch!

  • Rawkins

Long time reader but first time commentor….

Zuzana, I just wanted to give you a tip regarding the onions so that next time you don’t have any tears (or finger slicing!)

The reason that onions cause us to cry is because their acids break down into a gas. This gas is attracted to moisture, such as the moisture in our eyes. If you’ve ever noticed that once you let the tears come while slicing an onion the stinging gets worse this is the reason. More tears = more moisture = more attraction by the irritating gas.

So how to stop the tears? Create something else other than your eye that has moisture and will attract the gas instead. Some people say to chop the onion next to a sink with the water running or place it next to a wet washcloth or towel. What I find works best is to get your hands, knife, and even the onion wet and chop it with wet hands and a wet knife, redampening both often throughout the chopping.

Try it! It really works! :)

And thank you so much for the workouts and inspiration! I’ve been following your blog everyday for nearly a year now, and I think that you are doing a wonderful job motivating people, myself included!

  • Thomas O’malley the alley cat

    Dear Zuzana/Fred,

you two are inspiring and awesome.

(p.s. when i do watch your video and copy your workout. i realize i barely sweat, just get tired and get weak. I drink lots of water. is this bad sign?)

  • Shannon L.

    Zuzana,
Your aunt seems like a very wonderful lady and for you to be inspired by her speaks volumes about how she treats herself and loved ones around her. I can only imagine that if I were to meet her, I would be inspired by her as well.

My inspiration is my boyfriend who is a former Marine. I am always amazed by the workout routines he had to do when he was serving. Especially when he was in Bootcamp, holy cow, you think we work out hard! He tells me stories of how they marched (more like run) uphill wearing 50 lbs of equipment on their backs for hours no stopping. There were so many days that they would just work him to the ground and it would just completely change his whole body. There are so many stories but most of all, I am impressed at the determination he had to keep moving and to keep going even when he felt like dying he would tell himself “Your still alive, just breath, your okay”. I love when he teaches me the workouts he did in Bootcamp and he also teaches me techniques to defend myself. He is so strong and he helps me strive to be that way.

  • Katie

This recipe looks very yummy!! I will have to try it one day! Thank you. Hope you show more recipes. I love reading oxygen magazine for some inspiration. The ladies that they show in that magazine are just regular mums trying to be the best they can be, yet they look sexy and toned and accomplishing what they enjoy the most.. It shows all that being fit and healthy is do-able and every one deserves the body they want, no matter how old you are, or how busy you are.. I also must add that watching your videos always makes me feel pumped and inspired to do a workout. Thank you for all of your efforts you put in for us, you are amazing!

  • Heather

Everyone had their own thoughts on supplements, just like with everything. I, myself, think that if you are losing a lot of weight in a short period of time supplements can help your body maintain the nutrients it needs to stay healthy and strong while continuing to lose a lot of body fat. When I was in the process of losing a lot of weight I didn’t take supplements and found myself tearing muscles even with good warm ups, once I started taking supplements that stopped happening.
If you read womens health or mens health they are BIG on drinking protein powder and eating more protein than carbohydrates. I believe that helps ‘most’ people lean up. My husband has been in 2 body building competitions and he was a maniac with chicken and tuna fish and protein shakes to get in a lot of protein and he looked great at the end.
Just depends on what works for you and what you read and decide to believe…

  • miss fitness montreal

    Hi guys.
    great post once again.

Your story about your aunt is so inspirational. It makes me feel like I should try harder to balance my work load.

I saw in your other video you said you were drinking coffee? What do you recommend in terms of drinking it? twice daily? once in a while?

  • Mike

Well, on the physical fitness tip lately I’ve found myself truly inspired by the whole calisthenics body weight movement. I’ve never been extremely out of shape, but I’ve never given it all I should and could go months without doing any training. Anyway, youtube search “Bartendaz Hardbody” and the first video hit will show the level of fitness I hope to attain. :) Those guys are unbelievable! Also recommended a search for “CalisthenicsKingz” and “Highlandaz.” There’s a huge following for that sort of training so there are many individuals posting vids of their training all the time.

Anyway, for me watching folks like Zuzana, and anyone who cares about fitness only reminds me that it’s not impossible or unattainable.

This post was so wonderful and lovely. I am touched by your connection with your aunt and inspired.

…oh and about the tears when cutting the onions: when your eyes get to teary wash your knife with really cold water and than continue chopping… I don’t know why it works but a chef told me once and now that I use the trick it is much easier for me :-)

I have a really special guy who inspires me. He is an ex martial arts champion and he trained the special forces guys in our country in hand to hand combat. He was physically a machine…. tough fast and hard and admired by many in his industry.

His name is Dieter and he was an extremely physical man. He loved spearfishing and hiking as well as his martial arts. About 6 years ago Dieter had an accident which rendered him a quadriplegic. He has since then rebuilt his life. He is such a strong man. He now paints with his mouth to earn a living. His paintings are magnificent. You can see them on his website… http://www.MouthOnly.com.

Dieter is a dear friend of mine and last year I appealed to him to help me get fit. We both knew it was going to be a challenge… no1. he lives 600km away from me, no.2 it was going to be difficult for him to explain the exercises to me.

We started last year in September. my fitness levels have rocketed, I have lost 8Kg and my muscle mass is building beautifully. He sends me a workout everyday with descriptions and videos without fail. Best of all he believes in me and I love his praise when I achieve goals.

He has said that he now lives his physical life through what I am doing and this motivates me even more.

    A real win win situation.

  • Henny

Thank you so much for also letting us know about your thoughts and inspiration.

My closes inspiration is my husbond. He is a very confidend man, always ready to help other peolpe, and a very positive person. I really believe that he has turned me into a better and more positive person.

I don’t have a slim person to look up to, but my inspiration to go on with my weight loss is a clothing brand which is very femine and I would love to be able to wear there close – it’s called Noa Noa if you know it.

At last and not least a appriciate that you are talking about the choise – the choise of staing healhy and fit.

I personally think that I to often do not give myself the time that I need to be a slimmer, healthier and more hole persone.

    Thanks Zuzanne

The most common problem in our minds is laziness!! We have to fight with it and don’t waste a time.
Since 2 weeks when I started to do workout with you I realized that it is possible to do it every day:)I’d always justified that I have a lot of homework etc.
Thanks for great workouts and recpies.
I’ve got ne question: What’s with supper? It is said that it is unhealthy to eat a lot in the evenings, but I come back from University eg at 5 pm or even 7 pm and what should I eat at this time to not get fat? Maybe have you got some supper recipies? I have enough the same wholmeal bread sandwiches with cheese or ham:/

    Hi Zuzka!
I like your videos a lot! Just tell me… are these workouts the only ones, that you practise to keep this figure or you have to exersise more, in a fitness center or something like that? Is it really enough to do your 15-20 (40)minute workouts per day to keep so fit and strong or there is much more time spent in a gym? Thanks for your answer!
Have a wonderful day! I’m looking forward to your next video!

I am serbian, and i love how you keep your culture active and not forget about it. Your inspiration is truly great and I have many people in my life like your aunt to inspire me. I could share many serbian recipes which are quite similar to your recipes, since they are from eastern europe.
I have one question, what do you eat late at night when you have a craving for food? Since I am a student im always up during the night. Thank you… Hvala;)

Hello Zuzana! I have just recently discovered your website, and I find that it is very helpful! Let me start by saying that I am 23 years old and I just recently lost about 17 pounds by walking.( I was overweight) I went to the doctor and they told me that I should start toning my body, that is how I came across your page!
However, I have a question- The first couple of days I have followed your routines, I woke up the next morning very sore. As I keep following your work out routines, I find that I am not waking up sore anymore…is this because my body is just used to it now, or is it because I am not working out enough?? Basically what I am asking is this-Should I always be sore the next morning after working out?
And also, how long approximately will it take to notice any type of results? ( I work out about 5 days a week for about 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours per day.)
    Thanks!!

  • Sylvee

28:53. That was tough! And I am excited to try the chicken recipe. Maybe I’ll wear glasses when chopping the onion… :)

  • Ruth

Thank you Zuzana for sharing this story about your aunt. I really admire her for her hard work and you for sharing your life everyday. It’s so funny how, through you, your aunt is also inspiring all of us.

I did the sexy abs cardio workout this morning… I remember this one from the first time I did it, it killed me then and I’m practically dead now, *grin* I completed it it in 28:56. Looking back at my old posts I’ve done it twice, probably because it’s so good, anyway, I beat my last time by 5 seconds, lol!

So, I don’t know how to broach this question… I’m not sure I should even ask you because it seems like I’d be burdening you, but I have binge eating disorder. It had been a while since it was really previlent in my life and back at the end of 2008 I finally lost the 30 pounds I had been trying my whole life to get rid of (I’m 39 y.o.)… the first few months of maintaining my new weightloss was tough and it’s been a huge struggle for me since. At the end of last summer 2009 I started overeating again and gained back maybe 10 pounds of my original weighloss. Despite my overeating I’ve managed to maintain this 20 pound weightloss but I’m really struggling with controlling what and how much I eat. It seems that the evenings are the hardest time for me, when my husband and kids are home and I have to prepare meals for them. I know that this overeating, and eating the wrong foods, is what is keeping the extra layer of fat on me and keeping me from what I feel would be my best. Any advice you may have would be great. I feel like I’m really struggling and it’s very frustrating.

Anyway, thank you for another wonderful video, I truly look forward to them and challenging myself along side everyone else :)

    Best,

    Ruth

  • J

My Dad inspires me a great deal for his strength. He’s in his 50′s and still gets up at 5 in the morning to poor cement and it’s this ability to get up when you don’t want to that keeps people in shape mentally and physically. Also people with powerful words inspire me such as the people who do death workouts and exorcism workouts. I am also inspired by the image of the Lich King and other details of World of Warcraft. Math and Science inspire my creativity. And lastly cartoons inspire me to have a sense of humor instead of being a ghoul all the time.

  • Mickela

    Hi Zuzana
Thank you for the recipe, I am not Czech but the food I cook is similar to your recipe. This type of food is so satisfying and healthy as well.

I can’t wait to see the rest of the buns and fat loss videos I am a bit sore, but my body feels good and is ready for more.

    Cheers

    Hi Jenn B,
Believe it or not both Zuzana and I spend a lot of time each day reading and responding to questions. The comments are moderated, which means that we read each and everyone that gets posted. I am sorry if we have missed your questions in the past – but we are really trying our best to respond when we can. We have a lot of resources on the site and we keep adding new articles and workouts etc – so it might just be that we cover your questions with an upcoming post or article.

Ummm. Besides my Mum and Dad, who are my biggest inspirations for countless reasons…I am inspired by the courage, spirit, and determination of a young girl named Bethany Hamilton who lives on Kauai. She lost her left arm in a shark attack and was lucky to survive a few years back when she was 13. She is 19 now. She did not give up on her personal dream to become the best professional surfer she could possibly be. She competes nationally and is currently a major threat as a competitor. She just got towed into a HUGE (by any standard) wave at Jaws. This is a sport entirely dominated by macho able bodied testosterone amped men. She also consistently surfs the kind of waves that are very, very challenging for any dedicated surfer. Just to watch her paddle into huge surf with only one arm (and to see her do a one arm push up to get to her feet in lurching waves is jaw dropping) You can see this in the women’s section of surfline.com. Any time I make excuses for myself in the water I think of her. And she is sweet and humble to boot!

    Zuzanna & Frederick,

I recently discovered you and very happy I did. I was wondering if you’ve considered to put your workouts in DVDs. I would be interested in buying them. I think it would be easier to watch and follow the ‘whole’ workout with your instructions and cueing.

Thank you for the work that you do. I do appreciate it, and thank you for the inspiration! Like some other girl said yesterday, who needs celebrities when we have you!

    Hey Ruta,

    What a nice story.

I left my home country when I was 19. I went alone. I saved up money and my mother helped me with money to go and study abroad. Until the day of today I take my hat off to her. It cannot be easy to let your girl go into the unknown.

I am 33 now and when I look back, I realise how hard it was to find my way. I also gained weight in my first year away. Thankfully the second year changed. I found a good friend in school and we clicked. We are friends until today although I have since moved countries again. My friend was a kayaker. We shared a house for 5 years and my life changed drastically. I became a dedicated athlete and went on to participate in world championships, world cups etc.

That same kayaking took me to The Netherlands where I did the same.

All I want to say is: it isnt easy to move countries, especially when you are that young. Suddenly you are in a place where you decide what you eat and when you eat. You are like a kid in a candy store and eat all the “fun” stuff. or you get so homesick and translate it into food.

All you have known all your life is no longer there. Things you took for granted, the way another society behaves, the unwritten rules, all contribute to making you feel like you are very alone in this world.

But it gets better, you make friends, find your way around, find someone you love and make your own history.

Looking back I am glad I took the plunge. Being out of my comfort zone has made much stronger and my life richer :-)

Good that you are exercising and getting back to life as you want it.

    Carla

Hi Zuzanna, this is a great recipe! I’m going to try it next week…can’t wait!

  • Carol

I had done this workout earlier this week, but I did it again today. My timing the first time was 26:40, and today it was 28:16, which is still better than the very first time I did this workout, My time then was 37:52.
I think part of why it took me longer today was because my rope broke, so I had to tie it in a knot.

    Hi Zuzana and Everyone,

Your aunt sounds like a really great person.

I have had a lots of real life inspirations, but will focus on only three here.

For a physical inspirations I would say my cousin Larry who when younger looked a lot like Ron Ely who played Tarzan in the mid-1960s on television. Larry could do one armed push ups and walk on his hands. An amazing handsome and strong guy!

In part we can thank Larry’s dad my uncle Richard for my bizarre sense of humor. Uncle Dick had lost and eye and most of his right index finger doing construction. So he would pop out the eye and stick his “finger” in the hole or clean his ear with his “finger”. Which was hilarious when the person he did this in front of was clueless about the lost finger and eye. You had to be there to see it.

My respect for others perspective probably was inspired most by my Mom’s She could see everyone’s point of view and sort out almost any problem making both sides feel like they had won. She was also possibly one of my best friends.

Okay there is a forth person who in inspires me and of course it’s Zuzana, probably not for the same reason as many of you have stated, but for her kindness. I know after doing one of her brutal workouts many would wonder what the hell I’m talking about. 8-) But, others who have watched you with the dogs or Frederick can see you have a marshmallow for a heart, girl.

    My best wishes,
    –Chris

My inspiration-My Aunt Josephine. She died in 1963 of post-op complications from above the knee surgery due to diabetes. I was extremely introverted and shy as a child, unfortunately, it kept me from communicating with my Aunt even in my broken Tex-mex and english language. Anyway, before this surgery, my Aunt already had one leg amputated also due to diabetes long before I was born so I only knew her as always having only one leg. What impressed me then and has stayed with me as a fond memory of her is her ability to do EVERYTHING FOR HERSELF and never allowing anyone to help her. Her house was spotlessly clean. She laundered her and her husbands clothes in an old outdoor washing machine and hung them out to dry. She ironed everyday, cooked all their meals (they had one son) made homemade tortillas everyday and would “walk” across the yard to her Mother’s house thru an old wooden gate and help do her chores. I never heard her complain when it was obvious that she was in pain. She went to church on Sundays and would often come visit her brother, my father having to climb 4 doorsteps to get into our home. She wasn’t slender by todays standards but she wasn’t fat nor obese either. She kept herself well dressed though they were relatively poor and her hair was always groomed even while doing her household chores, which amazed me as a child. I still don’t know how she managed that feet. And,she could hold her own in a fight with one of her sisters. She was never treated differently by her Mother or sisters because of her one leg.I remember she was always smiling or laughing, never saw her sad. Until. I remember the last night I went with my Dad to visit her because she had gotten ill and her diabetes had spread to her one good leg. She was in bed, which is something I had never seen her do,so I knew it was serious. All I could do was gently touch her hand, still too shy to speak to her;I like to believe she understood. I sat on the floor pretending to watch an episode of Paladin, an old western t.v. program, with the volumne veeery low. But, I was looking at her and my Dad on the t.v. screen reflection. My Dad held her hand all night for the hours we were there, till we left around midnight. I found out later she had to have her one remaining leg amputated. We went to visit her at the hospital but I wasn’t allowed into her room (those were the “rules” back then),I just stood outside the door and listened. I heard her say she didn’t want to live that way. It was just a couple of days later she died. I say she is my inspiration because whenever I feel I can’t do something, I remember Aunt Josephine. She NEVER stopped living and enjoying life even with her one leg. And she did EVERYTHING “walking” with the one good leg always set on a slender chair (I’ve never seen one like it since)as if it were an extension of her leg. She went everywhere with it,I never saw her without it and it just seemed normal to me. She would take a step with the good leg and then the chair would step forward with a gentle thump sound. Now I realize what an emotionally strong person she must have been. Not letting people’s stares bother her when she went grocery shopping with her “walking chair”. Oh, my goodness the memories, I’m crying right now. She inspires me not to complain when I’m in pain, nor accept pity. When I find myself saying,”I can’t do….”,I remember Aunt Josephine and tell myself,”Oh, yes I can.” It’s difficult for me even now to ask for help when I probably should. I like to believe I got my will power from her. I have often been called a “little spitfire”. I take that as a compliment.

Hi, This is my 1st time I have seen your blog. I loved it……. and since I have 100 lbs to lose I was very inspired. I hope to get started and go to the gym.

    Hi Carla,
That’s so cool that you are a professional kayaker. I love kayaking!! I’m not very good, but it is one of my favorite recreational activities. I’d love to get some tips from you that I can use the next time I kayak (likely in the spring :( )
    Peace

    Hey BADE,

I WAS a professional kayaker ;-) My last race was in 2003 in Duisburg, Germany.

I did flat water kayaking i.e. I was a sprinter :-) unless you do that, I don’t think I would be of any use with tips ;)

  • http://www.facebook.com/carlanunesdacosta?ref=profile Carla

    HEy Electra,

Don’t hope, just do it ;-)) take the first step, and then another, and then another and that is simply how it goes.

you and Jamie Eason, are my inspiration for working out.

    Hi Victoria,

If you’re new to a set of exercises and they work muscles you haven’t worked in that way you will be sore. If the soreness goes away it probably means you have strengthened those muscles enough to stop the soreness from happening.

It is also possible you’re not pushing yourself as hard as you did at first. Nobody wants to be sore all the time.

You should see change in your muscle tone within days or sometimes weeks of starting out. It is easier to make progress as a beginner.

    Hi Ruth,

I think many of us have had similar problems to yours. I would find myself eating pieces of food as I prepared a meal and then eating the leftovers after. So I would eat three meals while others would eat just one.

The only way I know of stopping this is to say no to the urge to eat while making dinner. If you find yourself tempted try drinking a sip of water. In fact try drinking about a gallon everyday. This will greatly reduce the urge to over eat. Zuzana and Frederick have some excellent articles on eating in Diet and Life above.

    I hope I’ve helped,
    –Chris

I would have to say my mom inspires me the most. She had 13 children yes thats right I have 5 brothers and 7 sisters. I come from a russian family so thats normal to us… =) my mom is the worlds most AMAZING person. She not only took wonderful care of us but she also found the time to have freshed cooked meals ready and house spotless clean. Of course we helped out but she was just always the super woman. She looks amazing for having 13 kids. Her legs still look as if she is young teenager =) I only have 1 baby girl and I’m 21 I have no idea how in the world she managed to have 13! Anyway shes around 56 now and let me tell you shes still more amazing then ever. Now shes helping with her grand children and is super. I honestly dont think anyone in the world is more wonderful then her. Her and all my sisters are VERY close. We always go out together while the men stay home with the children. Of course not every day but when we get a chance. I absolutely love her. She inspires me becuase even though she had so much responsibilities she still managed to find time for herself and each of us. Her mother my grandma is the same way. They are both absolutely adored. We have family gatherings every wednesday at my parents house… and my mom still is the same mom… serving all of us as if we were children. But now she gets extra help. Yes its always a full house 13 of us plus husband and wives and all of our children. But family is and always will be the best thing in the world. Just wanted to share to you about my precious mom =) Thanks for all your videos.

  • Mike

hi zuzana just to say thanks for the hint on SALBA!!! i found a store who keep it and its wonderfull i combined it during the day with progressive VEGEGREEN and PHYTOBERRY wow a true power pack lol ciao

  • Aimee

My mom inspires me to enjoy life, be fun loving and laugh every day. She is the embodiment of delight and spending the day with her is always a good time. So, remembering to laugh is the lesson I’ve learned from her.

  • Ruth

    Hi Chris!

You are right on with the water idea, I definately need to drink more of it. Sipping on it through the evening is a great idea and might help me feel too full to eat everything in sight.

Thank you, that does help and I will start that right away… great idea!

    Ruth :)

  • Ruth

    Hi Masha,

You have such a wonderful family. A family like that is what I always dreamed of. I was an only child to a single mom and I used to dream that I had a big, loving family. Your Mom and Grandma must cherrish you and your sibblings very much! Thank you for sharing your story :)

    Best to you,

    Ruth

  • Ruth

I see her all the time in Oxygen Magazine, she’s awesome!

    :)

  • TEXAS CINDY

Masha…It’s wonderful that you have a relationship with your Mother. She had 13 children and looks as amazing as you say she does is remarkable. At least you know how you will look when you are her age, if you take care of yourself as she did. Pretty good, huh?

  • Dionysis

    Hi Zuzana,

Well, I just checked out a few of your videos and I think they’re very original and helpful to other people. I hope you’ll become the inspiration to many people to get out of their comfort zone and do something with their lives!

But like you said, the people who inspire us should be the “real” people we know and not the celebs. How many times have you read about a celebrity going back into a rehab facility? That means that their lives aren’t balanced and that the make up and photoshop do their thing very very well indeed.

So the raw model you had is the kind we should all have. Positive energy is the key to everything but it’s hard when you’re bombarded with all this bad and sad news on a daily basis. We need to focus on our goals and not let go. I believe your everyday feedback will help people do that!

    Keep on spreading the love!

  • Nelya

Hello Zuzana! I made this recipe over the weekend and it was really really tasty. I loved the idea of substituting for healthier ingredients. This gave me an idea for many Russian recipes that involve flour and sour cream. Thank you and I look forward to more recipes.

  • Alan Mexico

Hi Zuzana! Let me tell you….when i use to go jogging in the morning, i like to see other people exercising or jogging along with me, I find this very inspiring. There has been almost two years on the road since I decided to exercise and to be honest I’ve never gone to a gym or follow an estrict workout routine, I’ve tried sometimes but it is hard to me to follow that regularly. The issue is that i get carried away with my emotions. When I feel depressed i make a very hard workout and when i feel more exited i make something different. My inspiration comes from people I see on the streets, on tv, on the internet. I think that if we never see somebody in a good shape, we wouldn’t care about our image. People like you and many others represents my whole inspiration, even when i haven’t achieved my goals about exercising and i’m not very happy with my image, i keep on trying, your videos are such a great inspirations, i just can be quiet after see them, so thank you for that.

  • Kristyna

    Hi Zuzi,

I have found your web today and honestly you do a great job! My favourites are spinning, kickboxing and joging but I really miss something like you do for strengthening
my body. I have found an “RTX” which also looks good but there are no many people in Ostrava experienced by RTX exercise. AND thats my question to you, Do you have exp. or workouts with RTX?

Thank you for your answer and have a good day :-).

I would really love it if at the end of your instructions on your blog with all of your lovely pictures of preparing the recipes, if you could take a picture of your portion size and post that at the end! Pretty please, i would love it if you would do this. Even if it is just for cookies!

    Hi Ruth,

I’m glade you like the idea!

It’s easy and not harmful. If it becomes to boring try adding some lemon or lime juice.

And drinking cold water actually burns some Calories!

I don’t know if anyone else has posted this, but here goes. I love to cook with onions too. A trick is, freeze your onions a little before cutting them. It doesn’t allow the oils to burn your eyes when you cut them. I learned this on a cooking show and it really works. Doesn’t hurt the onion or affect the taste at all.

  • Carolyne

I just found your website, and I’m 122 lbs at 5’4″ and I’m trying some new workout to bulid muscle. You are a real inspiration. I love your video and looking forward in doing them ! Thank you so much.

  • Silviu

    Hey Zuzana!
Well first my name is Silviu i’m from Romania.
I like your blog and thaught it was a good chance to get some answers.
My personal inspiration is BruceLee.Since the age of 6 I went to several martial art schools now i’m 17…I train as you,for health, stamina, agility and looks, but i am alsow training for defense and resistance.I know thats not your fields of expertize, but the real reason i am sending this reply is because i’ve made a passion for the sport and training and i want to be able to share it with other people, like you do on youtube and your blog.
So…i want to know if you have your Gim or if you teach at any gym,and if so i want to know how did you do it…a few tips on how can i make the same, and how to aproach people.I studied anatomy, medical treatments and fitness.
I intend to grow up in skils and make my own Gym and teach autodefence, and healthy good looking fitness.First i want to go on the fitness side, because i think people should live a healthy good looking life, thats my point of view :).
Ok so…how did you do it and how long did it take,i’l be happy and thankfull if you can reply me back :).

    Till next time,your student Silviu.

  • Anna

You can also try wearing ski or swimming goggles – that’s what I used to do before I got contact lenses (and onion doesn’t sting anymore ;-) ).

  • ironette

Hey Zuzana, 4 the onions, if you chew gum you will not cry. I have also heard that if you soak or run them under cold water it will work also. (haven’t had much luck with that)

I remember watching a video where you were making cookies(mmm):P They were sticking to your hands. Well, if you take just a little flour & put it on your hands they won’t stick as much. Just make sure that after you lotion up real good because flour can dry out your hands. :(

I tried to post this comment before but something happened & i don’t think it was put up. I just wanted to give you a tip. (besides I can kinda ramble so I am glad if it didn’t get posted.LOL) My computer went out for a minute & then I couldn’t get back on the net for a while so whew!!
Any how I love what you r doin here. You are a very sweet lady ;)

Just want you to know after watching your 550 Rep workout I was amazed at the shape you are in. I was also born in the Czech Republic and came to Canada when I was 6. I have trained most of my life and know how much work and dedication it takes. Keep up the awesome work and healthy Czech recipes are always greatly appreciated. Have an awesome day!

My family eats something very similar, called “chicken paprikash.”

If I’m trying to make it lower fat though I’d rather use bonless skinless chicken breast instead of cutting out the sour cream. Sour cream is f***ing amazing.

  • Lvette

My mom inspires me.She used to be overweight 200lbs 15years ago, but she started exercising and eating healthy (she is now 110lbs, 5″2). Like you aunt, she does cleaning at a hotel there in Canada. She works between 10 – 12hrs a day cleaning rooms, but still does her fitness routine 5am in the mornings or after a hard day at work.

She’ll be 53years old this June and for the last 15years, regularly workout 3-5 days per week. She is more than than an inspiration to me, she is my superhero.

  • wujek241

Its really nice to see a beautiful, smart and hard working woman. You have the ability to encourage people to make effort to “upgrade ” their lifes.Nice job and take it easy

  • Fafi

“chicken paprikash” is a hungarian food, isn’t it? I love this version (almost the same:) too

  • Catherine S

    Hi Zuzana,
Nice to see you are incorporating Czech cuisine on your site! I came upon this site through YouTube. Which was totally random by the way. I used to workout every year and mostly start in January and by June I would be happy with the results and quit until next year! I admit, not the best way to do things. I’ve always had a good body, but it wasn’t until I just turned 28 that I realized my metabolism is starting to slow down. I have begun yesterday and my goal is to get back in shape and stay in the workout routine all year round. I hope your site will encourage me to stick with it as I see some new strategies in workingout. My celebrity inspiration will have to be Shakira as she is in great shape and I believe she is 33. So if she looks great at 33, why should I not be at 28? As far as real life inspirations, I have many all around myself and I feel lucky to be around them. However, I truely believe that if you want something done, you have to do it yourself. Whether that means getting back in shape, getting your dream job, or as simple as treating yourself to something nice. Anyhow, I will be willing to do before and after photos of myself, and show you the results if you like! Thank you for your site, Catherine

  • Estefania

    You are my new inspiration!

  • Birgit

I know that dish as well – I grew up in Austria and we made chicken paprikash!! YUM

  • Meike

    Hey Zuzana !

I hope there will be more great recipes in the future.
    Thanks for this one. ;)

    Love, Meike from rainy Germany

    God bless you!

  • jocelyn

I can’t wait to try this recipe. It looks so good!
I noticed one little thing, instead of pod, do you mean pot? :)
I speak three languages so I know how hard it is to communicate in your non native language, so hope you don’t think its rude that I pointed this out.

  • Jackie

Hi, I love and really enjoy watching your workout routines. They are extremely helpful. I just have one major question, what is you career? What do you do other than excercise? Or r u a fitness instructor?

  • Petr

Ahoj Zuzko, kdy máš narozeniny?? Zajímalo by mě to :-)), díky :-)

Takže hodně dalšího štěstí a zdaru.

Hi susana I am from Mexico, tell me a diet to lose weight and to tone abs and thights, please.

    Thank you

    Hi Zuzana and Frederick,
I just found your site a week and a half ago and I love it! Zuzana, you are my new inspiration! I am 21 years old, 5′ 7″ tall, and 155 lbs. I do not have anyone around me who inspires me, most of the people I know do not care about fitness, they make fun of me for trying to be healthy. My family even tries to sabotage me by keeping cake, chocolate, cookies, and candy around. They even “buy ice cream for me” even though I do not ask for it, and they always offer to order pizza for dinner when I do not feel like cooking.
I have been doing really great with my diet and exercise over the last two weeks, though, and your workouts and tips are adding another level of resources from which I can draw power and inspiration.
Its great, I feel more positive and energetic and I hardly crave sugar anymore. Looking at all of the junk that my parents keep in this house actually make me feel sick, I do not want to eat it anymore. When I feel weak in my motivation I think of you and how your muscle look when you work out and the awesome clothes that you can wear. I want that for myself and it keeps me going.
Thank you guys for putting up this site for people like me!
*Oh yeah, and if you refrigerate the onions over night or just for a few hours and then rinse them with cold water after cutting off the ends and peeling them, it really helps reduce the tears!

  • Karolina

Try putting potatoes! :) after the chicken is cooked, put the peeled and cut potatoes and add more paprika and water even salt if you want it saltier. :) Cook the potatoes until it’s soft then put the chicken back in… :D

  • Vicky

Hi Zuzana you are my inspiration. Today is my 4th week doing your workouts. I’ve done a workout almost everyday. The results are amazing. I was wondering which personal training certification do you think is the best one? You have inspired me to become a personal trainer. I want to help people reach their fitness goals like how you have helped me reach mine.

  • Brittney

Is sweet ground pepper only found where you live? I cannot find it at my grocery store here in Arizona. I bought all the other ingredients but I cannot find the sweet pepper. Will it taste bad without the sweet pepper? Is sweet pepper known under another different name? Please respond :)

  • maggie

I’ve seen that you use oat in your meals very often… I love oat too… So, I will try to add it into my recipes (not only breakfast and desserts).
Thanks for sharing the recipe… Anyway, I don’t think I can try this recipe… I don’t eat chicken, or meat, or fish (I’m not entirely a vegetarian, but I’m on it. I preffer not to eat meat).
    Kisses for you guys xD

  • Mavi

thank you so much for sharing that story, it is exactly what I needed to hear!

    Hello Z

I love czech cuisine, when I go to CR i can not help myself. It’s brilliant that you adapt your traditional dishes and make healthier versions. I just tried this recipe, it was soooooo good! I had to really control myself not to eat too much of it. It tasted like the real deal, oh the memories of Prague. =D

This is one of my favourite recipes of yours, if not the best so far ;) on the weekend I try the ginger cookies, I like to treat myself on sundays.

    Take care

    Ahoj,

    Ahojda
