Coffee Talk – Getting Older & Staying Hot

Hi Guys,

It’s been a long time since we have had a coffee talk, and quite a few of you have written to say that you have missed our little talks. I have missed doing them too, so we have decided to start them up again.

In this coffee talk I share my feelings and outlook on turning 28 and share my fitness plans for the future. I also talk about some of the people in my life who continue to inspire Freddy and I into their 50′s and beyond. We would really like to hear what you guys think about getting older and not giving up. There is a quote from one of my favorite movies of all time The Shawshank Redemption: “You are either busy living or you are busy dying – you are god damn right.” Red sums up the approach to fitness and life that both Freddy and I (and many, many of you here) have embraced – the “use it or loose it” philosophy. We plan on using it on this whole journey :)

Best

Zuzana and Freddy

zuzana love your motivational pep talks, i listen to them all the time to inspire me. you and freddy are my inspiration….you should make a shirt that says…”what would zuzana do?” i’d rock it for sure!!!!!!!!!

if i do 2 of your workouts daily, do i need to supplement an hour of cardio? pls take us bikini shopping also!!!!!! i would love to see beach videos of you guys, freddy in a speedo maybe! hahaa jk

I will be 30 in a few short months here, and I feel as if the knowledge I’ve gained in the last 7 years about health, nutrition, and working out is so incredible!!
I’ve always been very athletic all my life, but have never felt so good before (strong). Now that 30 is literally around the corner for me, I thought I would hate it, and that I would feel like I am getting old. The truth is, I feel wiser, stronger and much, much, much more hotter. I know this sounds a little arrogant, but I look at myself like a fine wine, the older I get the hotter I become.
Hard work, dedication in my book always pays off!

I’m fixing to turn 32, I love to workout and keep my body in shape. I think everyone, no matter what their age should always keep their body in shape. I have two children and you can’t tell. It was always my goal to be in shape. I have always been atheletic, I ran track and I was on the wrestling team in high school and I have kept it going ever since then. You have truely motivated me even more to stay in shape. When I hit my 40s-50s I still want to look good. Thank you for your awesome workout’s I love them…..:-)

  • kristyna

    hi,
i totaly agree with you. but sometimes I feel that this is the only thing you care about. what do you do for living? thank you.

  • Ivana

    we Will!!! :) Love you!!!

  • http://bodyblog.tv Lish Weese

I hear you Zuzana! I know a handful of people like this too. They literally help to alter the brainwashed view I get from most everyone else about age and life and health and fitness and they defy them all! I love these coffee talks and thanks for another wonderful one. Thank you for giving us the time. And thank you for being our inspiration. Truly amazing couple and I hope your dreams for a rich life and great energy and health and strength follow you the next 10 yrs and beyond. The both of you, Freddie too! :) And I think it would be darn cute to see some munchkins in a few years and see how you live in that moment as well. I love you guys!!!!!

  • R

Z- love the coffee talk. I just wanted to share that I believe good nutrition and fitness is the “Fountain of Youth”. I am 39 and people tell me I look and act at least 10 years younger then I am. There is also something to be said about the power of your mind- “thinking and believing you are young and beautiful”… it works!! Don’t ever fear growing older- embrace each and every day with vitality and vigor! Anyways, I think what you guys are doing here on your site is wonderful and you inspire many. Thank you.

  • Lvette

Z, great that your figured this out in your late 20′s. I was in my 30′s when I got it. I will be 40 next year and I’m so looking forward to life in all its complicated forms. I think as women, we just have to demand more of ourselves and for ourselves (I’m sure men go through the same body image struggle, but I hope it not as bad as women do).

  • Nicole D Lopez

Yay! The coffee talk is back!

I love this outlook on life. Like Winston Churchill said, “Never, never, never give up.”
I first learned this phrase in 8th grade and I have been living by it ever since (7 years). Sure I have had my setbacks and my flaws, but over all, looking back, I’d say I have succeeded in this lifestyle.

And I am on your side – aging does not phase me. I have accepted the fate of gravitational changes, gray hairs, and the overall degradation of the human body that comes with aging. As long as I live a healthy, active, and happy lifestyle, I know that I will come out on top.

I don’t know too many healthy people, so, for me, it’s not as easy as seeing my family and friends and being inspired by their lifestyles. But that’s where you guys come in. You are my two healthy, inspirational people in my life, even though I don’t personally know you, and I thank you for that – not the not knowing you part hahaha.

Anyway, Happy Birthday to come, and 28 will look great on you. I hope you two have this site forever, and, although I don’t think you’ll need it, Zuzana, I will definitely be around to remind you to keep it up in 10 years if you forget.

  • Rachelle

Yay, coffee talk is back :)

I couldn’t agree whit you more on this subject. Age is a state of mind. My boss is 76, still actively pursuing his hobbies and lively as ever. A true inspiration.

I so get you on the “dirty” feeling if you go two days without working out. No shower can get you internally and mentally clean like a workout! Ahhhhh :)

    Love you guys!!

  • Anon

Zuzana I find you to be very inspiring! You look great (beautiful and younger than your 28 years) and you appear to be full of energy. Just wanted to ask, how old were you when you first started working out in such a dedicated way?

  • Tiffany Stephens

That’s what I want to be “sexy grandma”and a sexy momma. My mom is 64 and looks super. She and I motivate one another by giving workout tips and skin care advice. We have been blessed and currsed both with good genes and bad so working out with you and fredrick has really shown me that I have to add strength training to cardio to keep it all UP :0) Yea, I just know that working out creates beauty and prevents tons of health issues so, but I think I told you guys my granma and great aunt on my granpas side have Alzhiemers, well my granma was a strong educator and I wonder had she been into fitness how she might be. Zuzana, you said once, something to the fact of preserving what you have and I am so about that. You really can’t just stop and start it just doesn’t work.

  • Tiffany Stephens

oh…Happy soon to be 28, don’t sweat the small stuff. stay away from negative people and keep looking like a supermodel!!

  • Thomas

Hey Zuzana and Freddy – thanks for the coffee talk! First of all 28 is not really that old :o) I am 42 and in the best shape of my life, I look and feel better than I did when I was in my 20s, actually I am in better shape then most people in their 20s now, which is a great feeling!!! I have always done some kind of exercise, but I really did not embrace exercise and nutrition until I was 39. I had a goal to be in the best shape of my life when I turned 40. I made my goal and now it has turned into a hobby (or I guess you could call it an addiction) for both me and my wife, like you said if I miss a day it feel gross.

I agree if you keep up on the regular workouts and eat nutritious food you can look and feel younger no matter what age you are, it is never too late to start!!!

    Cheers!

  • Justine

    Zuzana,

I cannot access the workout for today. When I click on it it says “error establishing database connection”. This happens with about 50% of your videos and I’m wondering if maybe it has something to do with the maintenance/updates you guys are doing on the site? Does anyone else have this problem? Thank you very much and I love your videos! I have been very unmotivated for the last couple of months and when I stumbled upon your site it was just what I needed! :)

    Best, Justine

  • Meegs

Are you still having issues, I can’t open your Sweet Punishment Workout?

  • Justyna

    HEY ZUZANA
I AM JUSTYNA, I AM ALSO 28 AND I AM FROM POLAND SO EXUSE MY ENGLISH IF ITS BAD.
I FEEL GREAT AND I AM NOT AFRAID IF I TURN 30. IT S ALL ABOUT YOUR MIND I THINK. NOBODY CAN TELL YOU WHAT YOU HAVE TO THINK OR HOW TO FEEL. ITS ON YOU. MAKE A CHOICE,GO FOR IT AND FEEL GOOD,THATS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, ALWAYS TO FEEL GOOD BY EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO.
YOU ARE SUCH A NICE PERSON ZUZANA AND FREDERICK,YOU GIVE PEOPLE SO MUCH. I AM THANKFULL FOR EVERY OF YOUR VIDEOS WHICH GIVES ME SO MUCH ENERGY.GOD BLESS YOU.
ONE QESTION ZUZANA, DO YOU NEVER WORKOUT IN THE GYM? I ASK BECAUSE YOUR MUSCLES LOOK STRONG LIKE YOU WOULD WORKOUT WITH HEAVY WEIGHTS.( I LOVE THAT LOOK )

  • Xtina

    Zuzana,

28 has its benefits and it is really wonderful, if it quantifies age. I am past that, but still fabulous in all the ways (and not modest, but comes easy when you are writing as Miss anonymous). Just like you, I made it my responsibility over the years to have this outcome and consistent exercise has always been a priority for me.

You may want to check out this article, it is written by a doctor and supports the same principles your regimen is based on.

    http://fitness.mercola.com/sites/fitness/archive/2010/04/15/new-study-shows-how-you-can-exercise-less-and-get-more-benefits.aspx

Have fun in the next 10 years (and the many more to come)!

  • Andrijana

I also have an old lady in my gym who is 70. She is feeling like she is in her 20′s. I personally don’t consider older people as old as long as they are feeling good and looking good. Also, some girls who are my age which is 23 they act like they will retire soon.

Your talk is very inspirational to me. I think you should have more themes for us in future.

    Thank You

  • Julie B.

I am turning 40. I train everyday. I am boxing and kickboxing, i jog, i do circtuit training, and I use to do jiujitsu, and now i am trying tango lessons on top of everything. I plan of stopping when i die. Being fit is a way to live, and i need my fix everyday.

  • Cassie

Zuzana, I have only been doing your workout videos for a week. (actually this has been my second week back to working out) I was in excellent shape last summer, but I had an injury that made it too difficult to workout, anyways i let myself fully heal and now I am so excited to get back in shape. I found your videos by accident, just looking for a good abs excersize I stumbled across your site. I tried your abs torture excersize and was impressed my obliques still feel it. You are a wonderful woman, who sweats, works hard. You inspire me to keep trying my hardest, not to just do a lazy workout but to give it my all! Thanks so much for your free daily workouts.

  • Heather S.O

you both have GREAT “JUJU ” !!! I love all your work outs! AND thoughts ””’What day is your b-day ?? Are you an Aries OR Taurus ?? YOU ROCK SISTA !!!

  • paul

i just wrote a long comment – will it be posted here? as it took some time and effort, and if not why not
    thanks Paul

  • Diane

    Great little talk! <3!

  • Illuminated

I just want to say thank your for your excellent videos!
    You are inspiring. =)

  • Jenny

Hi Zuzana, I cannot believe you said you are turning 38, so I had to replayed the vid to be sure I heard you correctly :D You don’t look a day your age & you can easily pass off as 28, I’m sure many people would agree with me. You are one super hottie! You are so right about energy & what your body can do instead of the number in your age. Actually that’s what makes me workout too. I’m hooked to your vids since I found them on youtube a couple of weeks ago. I have added some of your moves to my regular workout & I’m really enjoying the varieties, so now I”m looking forward to my workout everyday. Thanks for making these available for FREE.

    Hi,

There are a number of views out there regarding the harm/benefits of coffee. Some say to stay away from it and others believe that it can be beneficial…does anyone have any opinions or facts about coffee?

    Thanks

  • http://www.girlinyourshirt.com Jenaé Plymale

LOL Sexy Grandma! yEah!! I love it!

  • kati

You are right. workout is addictive. i am addicted. i workout in holidays, in vacation, in weekends. i make no exceptions. the only times i skip working out is when i have a cold or flu.
i am eating healthy and i gave up on any kind of sugar, except honey and fruit. i look and feel better than 10 years ago, although i am over 30.

  • Audra

    Aaaahh Zuzana,

These coffee talks are growin on me.

Exercise/strength training is the “Fountain Of Youth”. That is why when you see someone whom is ten or twenty years older than you, that is fit and full of energy, often don’t seem they’re age. What is old? Your only as old as you feel… I myself turned 30 last October and I felt horrible. Not because of my age, but because of the way I was neglecting my body. I ate poorly and pretty much blew off the gym most days and when I did exercise I was half-assing it. It wasn’t until I stumbled across one of your videos on Youtube and decided that I would make a change for myself to be healthy and strong and follow your routines. It’s been a long 6 months but, I’ve never seen the kind of muscle that I see on my shoulders, arms, legs & abs as I do now. I feel like a teenager full of energy and heck, I’m stronger than I have ever been thanks to you :) You have this energy about you that just draws people in and is very contagious. At 38 your gonna look as if time stood still and that is why I’m going along on this journey with you so that in 10 or 20 years time will stand still for me.

    Still my inspiration ;)

  • Rabia

    Hi zuzana

You are a really pretty women for your age, and have an awsome body. I know you probably hear that a lot from people, but i really mean it. Am so jelous, even tho am only 18 and about 10 years younger than you. I have 2 questions fro you i hope you can answer them for me
Did you always have a slim body like this, if not then how long did it take you to get to the body you wanted?

    Thanks– Rabia

hey zuzana!well, let me tell u guys……im 38 and i look back NOW and think how much better i feel NOW as opposed to 28…..im in the best shape of my life and people dont believe me when i tell them my age (IF i tell…).rarely i tell anyone, but if they ask, why not>???my six year old girl thinks im 25 and so that’s what she tells her friends…i just let her…..i think its funny. The ONLY regret i have right now at 38(going on 39) is that i didnt have all of the experience and knowledge back then that i have now.im a personal trainer and most of my clients are over 40.when they find out we are almost the same age, they are hooked!they think.well if SHE can achieve her goals and look and feel like THAT, why cant i????
i love my life at 38.and quite honestly, i can only see it getting better!!my plan for 40 is to be in the BEST shape of my life and i suppose at 50 i’ll have the same goal!!!
enjoy 28 zuzana!!if we keep up our awesome workouts and healthy lifestyles im sure we’ll make it to 100!!!!
    have a great day guys!!!
    xoxo
    rose.

  • Nicole

coffee is a really big problem for me. I can stick to a diet perfectly, but I cant get rid of the coffee! personally, I can see the effect it has on my body, but still, when i find myself in the kitchen, I automatically switch on the kettle.

is coffee really bad for the physique, or am i just feeling guilty. (I have cut back to just 3 cups a day…)

p.s love the website! and thank you for sharing all this with us. it really helps.

  • joseph

Hi guys, your 28 and I am 48, so when you get older the veil between the flesh and the spirit gets thinner. You begin to live your life for eturnity. The spirit man begins to rise up and dominate over the soul and body.

One Author that really inspired me was Dr Neil Anderson, Victory Over Darkness and The Bondage Breaker, taught me how to operate in the spirit.

If you want to see a Older woman around my age who is a beautiful woman, Blond, sexy and a great preacher check out Paula White.

    LOL Joseph
PS Thanks for the workouts, they are a real benifet, I life on tuna and greens. My wife is a beautiful redhead, up until 43 she never had to diet or watch what she ate. so now she is starting too. and you are a blessing

  • Andreea

    Hello guys,

I totally agree with what Zuzana says in this post and well, in all the posts actually : ), but this one really made me realize how important it is to work-out and just stay “clean” from all the sweets or nasty stuff that most people eat. I started to work out a few months ago and I must say that I was feeling very tired and depressed all the time before starting being active and I’ve only turned 22 a couple of months ago. So being young doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re full of energy or that you are healthy. That’s why I decided to change my life little by little and I have to thank you guys for being an inspiration for me. Results have started to show off.

I admire you both and Zuzana I have to say that I definitely want to look like you when I turn 28 :) ! By the way, you look like you’re only 19.

Happy Birthday Zuzana and keep up the good work!

    Hugs,
    Andreea

  • Anita

Hi guys – I agree completely. Age is a frame of mind and attitude towards life more than a number. Although there are a few physiological changes that may make things a little more challenging after 30, as long as we keep the attitude towards looking after ourselves things are achievable.

My mom’s always been my inspiration to stay in shape – she’s 60 and still looks amazing.

BTW, Steve Jobs has a great expression that I hold very dear – “Stay Hungry – Stay Foolish” :o)

Thanks for the coffee chat to both of you.
    P.S. Isn’t it funny how when we’re 30-ish we think 60 is ancient… ’till we get there…

  • Yana

Jenny, i am not Zuzana, but i cant stop myself to reply you because you made me smile with your comment. Zuzana is 27 she will turn this year 28 if she didn’t already :) I am sure she will look even greater on 38 ;)

  • Antonia

    Hi Zuzana,

I am much older then you and I wanted to share the thought of running. Maybe you can file it away for use latter. There is something about it that I believe fights age. I know its great for lungs/circulation system and lymphatic system. There could be something to the pushing forward through gravity. The for ward going. I have run a l ot(sorry my key board back space is broken) on the treadmill but outside is different. I also run without headphones because part of the experience is hearing and that shuts off this sences. When I wasnt sleeping in science class i remember looking through microscope and learning energy speeded up like say glass becomes invisible and you can see it moving faster. Energy slowed down like say a peice of wood is sosolid..sorry solid and you can see it move slower. Perhaps there is a connection with the running that makes it different. The moving through gravity. Wonder what you think?

Oh this thought…apathetic people that you might not say are negitev but dont clap or rain on your parade to me I stay away as I call it “dead energy” so in reality its not to be called dead energy as there is no such thing. its neg or pos. Dont let anyone slow you down they are not going to live your life for you when you get older and neglected the fitness. Your very intellegent people and your absolutley right.

ps you look like a dolly sitting on the counter!

  • Antonia

Zuzana was refering to the future turning 38. She is going to be 28 but could pass for under 21 and get carded imo.

  • Antonia

it can help with fluid retention, low blood pressure and is a mental stimulis. (doesnt help with spelling though)

  • http://n/a Tanya

I’ll be 38 next week – the age you will reach in 10 years with plenty of plans. I would really love to discuss this topic with you in 10 years as I have exactly the same plans – to feel fit and young, at least inside, if I can’t keep the outside at the same level without the plastic surgery assistance (which I don’t plant to resort to). So far only my passport is a proof of my age. At least, no one believes the figures. It’s nice tp know that your efforts pay off!

  • Frederick

Hi Justyna, thanks for the comment – we just workout at home :)

  • Frederick

Hi Justine – we are having growing pains – at peak times our server just gets overloaded with requests. We are building a completely new site from the ground up over the next 3 months that will fix this issue plus add many more cool features to the site.

  • Frederick

Hi Peony – nice quote :)
We have no plans to turn BodyRock.Tv into a paid site – part of what makes it what a nice place is that it is open and accessible to everyone :)

  • Frederick

Hi Anon, we started BodyRock.Tv two years ago this June :)

  • Frederick

Haha – it will be a few years before the cute munchkins arrive, but I’m sure that you will see them on here eventually :)

  • solalee

I’d have to agree that 40 is the new 30. When I turned 30 nothing changed in my life. It did not get any more difficult to stay in shape at all, compared to my 20s. My facial skin, for example, didn’t change at all between 28 and around 36ish.

Now I am turning 40 and some of the allegedly “dramatic” changes that were supposed to happen around 30 are happening now. However, they are not really dramatic. They are mostly welcome changes and so I do not mind the wrinkles that accompany them. I plan to age with natural grace and avoid any fake pretense of youth. I’m as old as I am and refuse to appear younger for the sake of appearance. As long as I am fit and slim, strong and flexible, healthy and active, I’m happy with myself. And Bodyrock training is a big part of that!

  • Marianne

Hi, I too am turning 28 this year (July) and I am looking forward to it. I am actually looking forward to being in my 30s. Think it’s coz my mum says her 30s was the best decade of her life. Except now I think her 50s will be even better (which is also reassuring).

I always get told I look 19 or 20 and , while this is good in some ways, the negative is that people treat me like I’m that age. When I’m the nurse in charge on shift and patients think my older, but less experienced colleagues are in charge, this is the down-side. Many of the patients ask me when I’m due to qualify!!! LOL I just hope this is not because I’m incompetent :? and because I look young. I look forward to being treated older, if you know what I mean – as if I have experience behind what I’m saying!

But 28 is very very young these days. Happy Birthday Z (whenever it is)

  • Mana

    Hello Zuzana
I´m now 33 years old and I have to say, that life becomes better and better since I´m 30. I´m very happy, not to be 19 oder something else. And if you are happy and satisfied with yourselfe and your life, than you age doesn´t matter !!! So, love yourself and your body – no matter what others say or think about it – and you will have a happy, strong and confident charisma.
I love the exercise videos and I´ll try more of them. At the moment I´m not that fit, but it will come … one day !!!!!
Thank you so much vor all that. You are both very beautiful and lovable !!

  • Lauri

I was just thinking ‘What would Zuzana do?’ when I went to a b-day party yesterday! I would toatlly where that t-shirt!

  • http://www.dumblittleblog.com Jimmy

    Age is just a number!

  • Mandy

AND IT IS NEVER TOO LATE to turn things around. I put my children first for so many years and never thought I had time. Now I am 43 and back to the size I was in High School! My biggest challenge these days is to force myself to take a “rest day”…i love working out, even if only for an intense 20 minutes. I just had the experience of inspiring a young mom to lose her “new baby” weight. She has been working out with me doing some of your routines and we have had a blast together. My son is getting ready to take a fitness test to get into a Navy program and we have worked out together, too. Frederick, have you ever thought of opening up the possibility of Zuzanna”s fans to send video in of us doing her workouts in our various locations? I live in Glacier Park, Montana and have often thought it would be fun just to show others how beautiful this place is as well as show an “old” lady trying to keep up with Zuzanna’s inspiration?

  • Ryugen

    Zuzana

Getting old is not so bad, I think.
I was turning 30 years old this Feb. and Recently I am thinking how I will live my next 10 years. Time to think about my next ten years is very fruitful time.

    Regards.

    Ryugen from Tokyo Japan.

  • Amanda

My birthday is May 22. I’ll be 25. I’ve been freaked out because I finish college this fall and I still live at home — all in good time. But this video helped me out. My favorite Shawshank quote is from Brooks when he said, “The world went and got itself in a big hurry.” I say it often. :)

  • raeNYC

Thank you for the coffee talk, it was really helpful to me as I was a bit down over the last 2 weeks and I used that as an excuse to not workout. I really do want to make it a lifestyle for my future! Keep the videos coming *_*

  • Sheridan

    Hi Zuzana & Freddy,
I’ve missed your coffee talks, so I was very happy to see one today!
I was in a great shape too when I was 27, however, after graduating from college and getting an office job, I’ve gained quite a lot of weight (I’m 34 now). I was getting home so tired from my new job that the last thing I wanted to do was working out. So I just plopped on the couch in front of the TV and relaxed with a bag of potato chips. The fatness started to creep on me and I began to feel depressed and didn’t want to do anything active at all. Luckily, I snapped out of it and started to exercise again and began to feel like the old me – energetic and happy.
I wonder what you guys do as a job (that pays your bills) because that has a lot to do with happiness as well. I’m quite bored with my job because it is no longer challenging for me, but am afraid to look for a new one because the economy is still pretty bad here in the USA and there’s this adage “last hired, first fired.”
You remind me of modern Bonnie and Clyde because you keep moving every few months – you aren’t bank robbers, are you ;-) ?

  • Tiffany Stephens

yea, I get the same error but just try again a half to an hour later and it’s usually resolved. whatever you do come back it’s so worth it!!

  • http://www.carolynbellpilates.com Carolyn Pilates

My mom passed away from a heart attack at 47. I am now 46. In my thirties, I got serious about fitness and nutrition, which lead me to becoming a fitness professional.

My healthy pursuit is driven more by wanting to avoid disease and death but the by-product of attractiveness is a boost.

Recently, I was in a fitness certification class. A twenty-something approached me at the end of the day to ask my age. She couldn’t believe how old I was and that someone in their 40′s could have more stamina and tone than the younger women in class. I’ll take that as a compliment.

I hope to be around many more decades. And if I can do that and remain sexy at any age, all the better.

  • Terri Haynes

Great topic guys! I am 49, have 5 children & 7 grandbabies (all mine!). I struggled with my weight and self esteem most of my life. Lost & regained 100′s of pounds. Three yrs ago I reached my heaviest, 238 lbs in a size 26-28. I came to the place in my life where I decided to LIVE. I want to live well over 100 & knew I had to get moving. My inspiration was an 82 caver & rappeller who did better than most of the 20 yr olds, such vitality! I began to work out everyday. It was rough and due to my age it seemed to take much longer to see results. However, this time it wasn’t for looks or a man, it was to LIVE LIFE to the fullest! Last year I completed Tony Horton’s P90X program twice. The 1st month about killed me but I discovered strength and energy I never thought possible. Then my daughter turned me on to your site and let me tell you, your workouts kick Tony Horton’s butt! I am now 155 lbs in a size 9 and working towards my goals for my 50th of 138lbs & 100 consecutive pushups. I bike (usually 10 miles at a time), swim, cave, hike and love being on a rope. Your workouts & encouragement are awesome! My latest book on this topic that speaks of all the health benefits of this coffee talk is Younger Next Year for Women (Live Strong Fit & Sexy Until You’re Eighty & Beyond) by Chris Crowley & Henry Lodge MD) it’s an easy fun read packed with excellent information. Thanks for all you do :) Now off to do your workout for today and some lifting.

    Hi Guys! Happy B-day Zuzana!

I will be turning 40 this June and I feel more energetic and vital than ever. I’ve always worked out but not always taken good care of myself, especially eating-wise… but the last two years or so I’ve really concentrated on it and people tell me all the time that they can’t believe I’m 39, that I look so much younger. Part of that is genetics and part is that I’ve always worked out. What’s really funny is that most of the people that comment on how young I look are young women in their 20′s, lol. I think most women my age assume I’m younger.

Now that I’ve achieved a level of health and fitness that when I was younger I never thought I’d get to, I really look forward to 40 because I’m a Hot 40 y.o. and feel really proud, healthy and energetic. I’m glad you guys are a part of that and I’m thankfull too, because your workouts and motivation really help and inspire me.

I’m so glad you brought Coffee Talk back! I hope you have an awesome birthday and that the next year brings you the best!

soooooooooo glad to hear that frederick!!!!

Hi Zuzana I really like your comments, and I have to agree with you 100%. I will be 46 ( I look 10-15 years younger) this summer and I have been active for my entire life, with some breaks here and there. I can totally keep up with people in their 20′s.

It is really important to take care of your body with nutrition and exercise, and most of all a positive youthful attitude.

You for instance are perfect example of staying healthy and being healthy I can totally see you looking excellent in 10 15 years.
My take on staying young and healthy is all in your attitude and outlook on life. Stay positive. be positive most of all surround yourself with people who also share the same ideas and energy.

well, you are already doing all of this so your journey is already layed out for you.

    Peace and light

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the post! You know Zuzana what you were saying about how age is all in the mind, that reminded me of a wonderful article I read on the BBC about experiments done with older men and how their thinking affected their health. It´s an extraordinary article and validates what you were saying. You can read it here:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/8498233.stm

By the way, I hope my post makes it onto the comments section this time. I have submitted several comments in the past and only a handful got posted :-(

  • Celina

I’ve always enjoyed outdoor activities like biking, hiking or climbing, but beyond casually doing those sports (and not very well), I never did any exercise and I could see and feel my body deteriorating over time. I tried over the years to get into exercising but only managed to do it a couple of times a week for only a few weeks before I’d find excuses to give up.

At the start of this year, shortly after turning 28, I decided that I was going to put in real effort into working out 5 days a week, and using your website as motivation and a suppliment to the classes I take at my local gym, now I can’t get enough of exercise. I never understood how exercise can be addicting and give a high, but now I do. It just takes some time and dedication before it feels that way. Now I’m feeling better than ever, physically and emotionally, and I can’t bear the thought of skipping out on a workout. I can only look forward to getting older as I know things will get better if I stay on the path that I am on now.

Hi Zuzana – an interesting topic you are talking about – I’m turning 44 this year……feeling something like 38 at the moment. I have the luck that god gave me a well-functioning body and I can eat, do and not do more or less how I like and I still keep in shape – sometimes this can also be a disatvantage because it does not make you do much ;-) – important to me is having fun in my life, make a joke, laugh and not taking everything too serious.

Funny enough I decided to start working-out – I don’t wanna spend the time in a gym so I once again searched the internet for home-training. Luckily I landed on your website and I knew right away that this is what I was looking for. So I started to exercise this monday (April 12th) and did my exercises on a daily basis.

With this I started to take my nutrition supplements strict again – this combination (healthy food and training) gave me an energy burst and I can feel that I’m more “awake” during the whole day and it gives me a positive feeling. To me it was a decision on who I wanna “BE” rather than thinking about what I want to “do” – so I decided I want to be fit, healthy, energetic – and out of this comes training very easily without any musts, shoulds etc.

Together with all of this I bought a new pair of sneakers which, during the day, remind me how good it feels to look for my own health and body – and of course I have my goals regarding muscles – time will show ;-)

Your work with all of this is AWESOME!!!! Thank you for your efforts.

    All the best Matt

  • Heather

YOU GUYS CHANGED MY LIFE! THANKS SO VERY MUCH. I found you on youtube right when you started and I have to say, your workouts really have changed everything for me. I make the food, do your training and love the fashion hauls! Seriously, you guys are really giving back and I know that you will have amazing things instore. Do you ever go back from the begining and see how much you have progressed? I do and it is great to even see Zuzanna change her shape! Keep it up!

  • Nat

I totally agree with Zuzana. I’m 27 and I feel and look better than ever before, thanks to working out and healthy eating (and of course thanks to bodyrock.tv, which has motivated me so much!) and I know that the best is yet to come, because I have so much “workout” goals ahead of me! Active life and positive thinking not only changes the body, but it also changes the attitude to life and everything.

My roommate (who is a lazy and fat guy, and also can be depressive at times) has often critisized me (when he saw me working out so hard) for paying too much attention to my appearance. I always try to persuade him, that what I’m doing is not only for appearance, but mainly for the feeling, for well-being, for being happy, energetic, for giving life sense etc.!

I try to tell him that he should give it a try, although in the beginning it may seem like a painful and pointless activity, but I can promise him that if he does it regularly for some time, he would feel what I feel.

Unfortunately, I can see from his face, that what I say seems so remote for him. I think he really doesn’t believe that it can change your life so much. He probabely thinks I’ve made it up to justify my “stupid” working out.

I know it’s his choice but I sometimes feel sorry for him, because I know he could change his life so dramatically and so easily (I really think it’s so easy!) and he doesn’t even want to try it. Like many people around.

    But it’s their choice.

I’m proud of myself and of the path I’ve chosen and I hope that many people will catch this attitude because they will realize how I’ve changed, how my body and attitude to life has changed, and that they will want to accomplish this too.

I have much more to say, but don’t want to write too much here so that I don’t bore you.

I’ll only say that it’s been almost three months that I’ve been doing Zuzana’s workouts and I’m just astonished by what they have made me look like (although I still have a lot to do).

Freddy & Zuzana, it would be great if you could make a section of your site to post photos that we will send you – of how we looked like before and now. I think many of us would like to share it with you and with other people so that it gives them even more motivation.

I think that in one month-time I will be ready to show these changes to you.

    :]

    Hugs!

    Nat

    Hey Reta,

I LOVE COFFEE!!! For many years people would tell me to stop drinking coffee because it gives you hypertension, depletes your body of iron blah blah blah. Recent studies show that coffee in moderation (2-4 cups a day)is beneficial for you. Latest studies conducted show that it has high levels of antioxidants just as much as the beloved green tea. These studies also indicate that it works to rev up your metabolism and they are currently conducting studies which state that coffee drinkers have a higher rate of combating Alzheimer’s disease. You can research the latest findings on Google.com. Good luck!

    Hi Zuzana,
Just a few words on growing old, aging or whatever we want to call it. I’m 50 years old and am told I don’t look my age. I just retired 9mo. ago from a job where alot of my co workers were very young. The men & women half my age couldn’t do the things I could do in the gym nor did they try. Alot were overweight and ate anything they wanted. I started my fitness routine at age 30. My job required that I be fit and I thought I could better help others if I was strong and fit. I also as part of my retirement had to undergo a series of health tests. One of them was a bone density test, not one iota of bone loss. PERFECT. I was so happy and attribute that to daily workout sessions with weights and running for the last 20 years. There is no fountain of youth but we sure can keep this aging process at bay with a daily dose of Zuzana’s workouts and indulging in a healthy way of living. I also want to say that that breakfast banana recipe is sooooooo good, its my treat when I’m done working out. Thank you again and again and again. Have a great day !
    MinnieV.

    Hi Zuzana,

Great topic. I am currently 44 years old and I can’t tell you when I have felt better about myself. I have worked out and maintained a healthy diet religiously for the past 25 years and I believe it shows. I know so many people my age and maybe a bit younger who look and act as if life is over and they are just waiting for heaven to call on them. Basically they feel that after 40 you shouldn’t care about the way you look or feel. I get so upset at this mentality. I will be honest with you though, as women we face a lot of obstacles that men don’t and I think it makes our quest a little more difficult. We have child bearing (for those who choose it) and that does change things physically a bit. We also have the dreadful menopause years which can really affect your skin’s elasticity, hair well you get the idea. I do however believe that keeping yourself active and eating right along with positive thinking and enjoying life will assist in youthfulness along with good genes of course. Keep up your inspirational coffee talks and educate people’s mind and soul. You guys are great. Take care!

  • Gaby

Thank you for the inspirational video, I am 30 and thanks to staying active I can not recall another time in my live when I have felt more full of energy than now, now I know for sure that getting old is a choise, and I have made the choise to stay yung, thank you for helping me every day to stick to my choise, you guys are wonderful.

    Daer Zuzana and Freddy…

I am 5’7 and used to be 200 pounds. 6 years ago I decided that this wasn’t the way I wanted to live, hiding behind baggy clothes and excuses. I decided to change my life. I lost 55 pounds and was at a normal weight. Although I wasn’t over-weight any more I still was unable to keep up with my boyfriend when we would go mountain biking or hiking or even swimming. I then realized that I wasn’t doing any strength training and couldn’t even do 1 push up. I went to you-tube for advice on how to do a push up properly, when I came upon one of your videos.

I followed you to Bodyrock.tv in January and have been following you ever since. You are my inspiration. I follow your routines 4 -5 times a week as well as once a week I meet with a personal trainer at the gym. Thanks to your website and all of your hard work, I can now do 35 push ups on my toes, 4 complete chin ups, without a chair :), and my love handles (which I thought were a permanent part of me) are a thing of the past. I don’t know how to thank you enough. I am turning 30 this year and feel more alive than I ever have in my life.

I do have one question…is there such a thing as extra skin or will it tighten up eventually? I have heard many people say it will tighten up but a few claim it’s there for good.

Thank you so much for all that you do. Keep up the great work.

    Selina, Nova Scotia

    Hi Zuzana!

First of all, you rock! Thank you for changing so many people’s lives (and bodies). I notice that you love to promote the new products that you love and allow others to have access to them (i.e. your timer, clothing, etc.) So…. on the subject of aging… I found the most AMAZING anti-aging skin care products that are changing people’s faces in so many incredible ways. I am the same age as you and I love the fact that we now have ways to preserve our youth so we can stay looking hot for longer (: You look like you have beautiful skin and I am curious to know what you use. Are you open to learning about something new?? If so, I promise this will be one of those things you will want to share with others too (: Thanks again for your inspiration!!

    Hi Freddie!

Thank you so much for the reply! So you guys only started working out regularly two years ago?! What inspired you to begin working out in this way? Did you do any exercise at all before this?

Coffee is actually show to boost your metabloisum and caffinee is suppose to take your appetite away abit. All in moderation of course. Too much of anything isn’t good for you. But three cups sounds like a good amount. (Just dont put sugar in it)

    Hello Frederick and Zuzana :)
I know you get this all the time, but I just wanted to say how inspiring it is to be able to come to this website and learn more about being healthy and seeing what hard work can pull off (without supplements! YAY :P ) It is amazing that you both offer this knowledge for free…I am truly greatful. You both are inspiring in my quest for natural health :). It’s good to find others who want to stay as simple as they can (no calorie counting or supplements or whatever). I’ve refered others to your website to help motivate them as well.
I have lost 40lbs this past year and have needed a push to keep going naturally..and this is just what was needed :). Thank you so much for sharing! I look forward to trying all the different types of workouts!…I did the triple x one 3 days ago..and my quads felt like they were going to pop off with soreness haha..but it was awesome. Thank you again for sharing.
(p.s. got my Gymboss on the way!! sooo excited!!)

okay..I’m done. I know you get a million of these types of comments..but I just wanted to give a heartfelt thank you for your inspiration :).

    Hello!!
I’m going to be 32 in the fall and I feel I am in such better shape as I get older. I was happy turning 30 – I knew who I was, not wearing any masks or pretending to be someone else.
It’s also at that age that I got out of a terrible relationship because I had finally opened my eyes. I’ve met my perfect match last year and all is going amazingly well.
Turning 30 only reinforced one thing : You have one body so make the best of it! Your body reacts differently to everything and you must listen to it!
I love eating healthy food, I love working out (kickboxing, mountain biking and of course, your workouts!!!).
I work at a University and professors and even the students I meet with, often give me 25 years of age….which always makes my day!
We love the healthy lifestyle that we have chosen and in the last months, you have become part of my daily routine. I’ve printed out every one of your workouts and have placed them in a binder.
I combine them to my other regimes and I have to say I would love to have you as a neighbor!

Keep up the good work you 2!!!

  • heather

Zuzana, I really look up to YOU! I’m not overweight by any means, but I’m not fit yet either. I love watching your videos and trying the work outs. They make me feel great! I love that you post them so frequently too, because it’s like having a workout companion who is very sweet, but pushes you to do well and be healthy. Thank you both so much.

  • Tess

i know that if i miss a work out for more than a day i get really grumpy and annoyed at my self. My dad use to run Marathons and he said he would become really grumpy and annoyed if he missed one of his runs. i guess we are endorphin jumkies.

    Hi Zuzana,
Love your video’s. The workouts, the diettips, the fashionshows and the coffeetalks… All of them.

Thanks for all the tips (the ones of buying stuff are dangerous though…. I already bought the dip bar, the chin up bar, the gymboss timer, the skipping rope, the stella pant….And tomorrow I am going to by kettlebells of 8 and 12 kilo’s). My wallet is empty, but my condition is rich…

I have a few things I bought myself though for my workouts here at home: a hula hup and a gymball. Although I am quite sure that you have used these in one of your first videos, right?

Anyway, I have one suggestion for your new site: create possibilities for people to blog with each other and with you about several topics: food, excercises, injuries, fashion, whatever… Even to post their own video’s. What do you think?

By the way, I have a nice recipe for you, where can I post that?

And do you ever use proteine shakes?

    Cheers,
    Daphne

Hi guys, Just want to say that I am fifty-three years old, and have been working out and following a healthy diet since I was around twenty-three. I wanted to keep what I had. I look at least ten years younger, and feel twenty years younger. My body has stayed strong, firm and hot! So many people just give up on taking care of themselves, it just requires a little work! Love your video’s, awesome workouts!!

    Hi Zuzana,

Well, I hope you have a happy Birthday! Going to have a big slice of Chocolate Cake on the day?

I love The Shawshank Redemption! My favorite scene is where their all up on the roof and Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) gets them some beer to drink. I think it says a lot about the little things in life and even in a “cell” you can have a meaningful existence.

I wouldn’t mind hearing more about fitness as a why of life and how to deal with those around us who are not fit. I really don’t have any role models other than myself when it comes to being healthy.

I was at a social meeting the other day and leaving I was in a elevator with a about 6 other guys. All were well over 30 to 50 pounds over weight and all good friends! I tried to encourage them to eat less and mentioned bodyrock.tv. They protested and said I was a rare* person and they the normal.

Hey Zu and Fred! Thank you so much for you love and effort into this page. I am following you guys since a couple of months now, and I absolutely love it. My inspiration has been my grandparents. They have passed away a couple of years ago at the age of 81 and 84. But until the end of their time they both have hiked the beautiful Taiwan mountains. I think this is inspirational on soo many levels. All their life they were active, healthy, interested in life and have shared it with someone they loved truly. I think exercising or just being active is being about your health of your body, mind and soul and to connect with people you love!
I have forgotten that for a while but I want to get back on that track and you help me a great deal staying focused and what all this is about! Thank you again!

  • Antonia

    Hi Kristyna,

You should not view them that this is only what they care about! If you go to a doctor he is likely only going to present to that he is about medicine. Since fitness is their lifestyle if you tune in to this channel they are going to talking about just that. They are a light in a dark place in my life that I can tap in and they are rooting me on the journey. It is not something you can do only in spurts. Fitness is hard and it shows in gym memberships unused very easy to fall away from. (Whn eh)I mean when ( key board is broken sorry) I tune in I am looking to get encouragment to stay on tract whether it be diet or clothing or whatever that “relates” to keeping fit.(and when your fit it makes you mentally fit to deal with all lifes curveballs) Many times I feel like giving up and have even been suicidal before so I am so grateful to have them. You cant get this out of a book or many other way. Most people are not this postive and kind. What else do you care about that you think they dont? I am curious? By the way its no ones business what someone else does for a living quite frankly. They for all we know could have a swiss bank account or sell used cars,c . when people ask me I just tell them I am a business women. Covers everything. By they way I hope my reply was helpful to you, yes?

  • Antonia

sorry my comment was meant for someone that asked about coffee. pros.

  • Carolyn

Ha Ha! I’m 37, but I didn’t realize I was old until I watched this. Wait, maybe I’m not old until next year? Zuzana, you’re adorable.

    Thanks for posting your workouts!

At 28 life was one massive round of parties – drinking, eating, smoking and being merry. The future was too far away.

At 52 the future is now here. My 4 kids no longer need me and I so wish I was 28 again so I could start over, but get it right.

As that is impossible, you have inspired me to get up and about. It really is true – move it or loose it. I have almost nearly lost it, but moving is slowly getting it back.

Everything in moderation is also okay – I still have a cuppa a day. I glass of water, 1 sip of coffee. My treat.

Looking forward to seeing the new site. Anything we can do to help, let us know.

Hello! Zuzana, thank you for your inspirational talk. I have a couple of questions. What do you do for living? I am asking, because basically the problem of combining job, work outs and daily life all together is a big challenge. People give up sometimes because of daily stresses while working, or taking care of their families or lack of money to get a healthy food and so on. Do you work at a fitness center by any chance? :) and one more question, how long have you been keeping this habit of healthy habits of eating and working out ? Thank you very much, what you do is great, and that you and Frederick do this TOGETHER (web site and so on) is inspiring too. THANKS A LOT.

  • Samantha

Happy early birthday! :) Just wondering, what do you do when you have cravings for sweets or are you at the point where it doesn’t phase you since your diet is tight? Thanks! Love your workouts and positive attitude. :)

Hi guys I am 48 and yes I believe running plays a big difference , most people say I look in my early 30″s I have always watched what I ate and supplemented with vitamins..Daily exercise to me was my food from the early age of 16..and I have never stopped. I absolutely adore your site and even at this age with your routines and not using my weights as often but using my own body weight I have seen an amazing change to my body…P.S does anyone have any knowledge on mini tummy tucks as I have 2children , which has left with slightly loose skin on my lower tummy..Keep up the great work…I’m hooked on your programmes

Speaking of people in their 50′s and beyond reminds me of an uncle who was a very active and competitive cyclist until the day he died (of a heart attack, very unexpected) He was one very fit fella, well into his 70′s. I couldn’t keep up with him on a bicycle! A heart attack will strike at the most unexpected times!

My mum is 71, she still rides her horses and her favourite horse is one who is over 17 hands high (massive) She needs a step ladder to get on him! But she still has a go. She still takes falls and injures herself (scares the crap out of me every time) but she still gets back on and continues!

I’m 41, sometimes I feel it (especially today after my Oxfam 100km walk, which sadly I failed to complete) Other days I feel amazing and know I can beat a young, nubile 20 year old at her game!

I believe a lot of it is psychological! Positive thinking can do amazing things……

Zuzana, I hope you have a very happy birthday! enjoy every moment and every year! We are here for but a short time. We must make the most of every moment and make it memorable!~

Great talk guys. I would only add that in your late 30′s (where I am now) the problem many come up against is not so much the mental dedication to staying fit, but their body’s ability to keep up. All my old normal exercise routines started giving me injuries, sidelining me repeatedly. The good news is that it made me search for something new – equally challenging but less hard on the body – and that’s how I found your wonderful site & routines. Keep up the great work, you both.

    Hi, Zuzana.
I was looking through the comments, left by others and , unfortunately, i realized, that i hadn’t have such a person above me, who could inspire me to do workouts.
I’m 20 years and already 6 years I’m on hormones( i have Polycystic ovary syndrome).Besides, having overweight,back-pain, strips and cellulite(since 12 years) on the body, it’s was just morally awful feeling that in your 19 you’re looking on 40.
But last year i found a great book by Dan Milman and your website. And last spring i started to do your workouts, keep to the diet. But, being in the Greece, working the whole summer, spoiled all my results, achieved before i went there. When i came back home, i gained 10kg extra.Things seemed even worse and i was completely dissapointed in myself.
When this year began, i had 2 unpleasant events which pushed me to the thought, that there is something, that i do wrong. And then i just realized, that there are things, that i can’t change yet or at all, and i will have to live with them. But how do i look, how do i feel myself- i Can change.
At the moment, i can’t say, that i look wonderful, with six pack and etc.I still have extra pounds, my body isn’t perfect, as i would like to see it.
But i became morally stronger as well as physically. And the most important- my mind and my body has started to demand physical activity, otherwise i feel stressed and tired.
Thank You Both for these awesome workouts and motivation, that you support .

    Zuzana and Freddy,

That was a great pep talk! I agree with you, I feel like something is missing if I don’t work out. It makes you feel so good about yourself while keeping you healthy. I started working out at 21, and am now 37 and never stopped. (with the exception of surgery). I love you workouts, they have really given me such a renewed love for working out. And the ability to do it at home is great. You better be here in 10 years… I will be right here with you!!

    Thanks from my heart!

    Amanda

And WOW! That has to be the most remarkable thing of all ! :)
The desire to offer unknown humans a chance at a healthier, zestful and fit life..one workout/diet tip or simple exchange of vital info at a time. Just for the sheer joy it brings in return. That my friends is called, “paying it forward” and it is to be commended! Thanks for all you do…free of charge. I hope your hearts are growing larger by the day knowing how much you are enriching the lives of thousands of unknown others. Live Strong.

Hi – I am a fan of Dan Milman :)

Hi – I am a fan of Dan Millman :)

  • Shawnie

    Great coffee talk!

On a different note…I was wondering how you use your Salba? I noticed on another “conversation” you had with someone that you said you had found “Salba”.

When I was at my local health food store the other day I saw a bag of Salba-”Nature’s perfect whole food” and decided to try it…I sprinkle it on my salads and tomatoes and I even put some in a tiny container and carry it with me so that I can remember to use it often. It is just one of those things that is easy to forget to use, it is a habit thing (and a good habit- yay!) I even just eat a tablespoon out of the little container I carry and it is like little pop-rocks, it is fun to pop the seeds in between my front two teeth! Silly I know but when you have an oral fixation it is just something to do with your mouth! (When you are cutting back on the snacking and eating other things).

I agree that feeling young and sexy is all about thoughts and choices and actions. If you think you look hot, it is gonna show up in your attitiude and your body.
    Blessings,
    Shawnie

Hi Zuzanna! great talk… I have just turned 28 and get a bit down as 30 gets closer.. not just cos of the age but because I’ve got 2 kids and feel like all I am is a mum!
But I lok back to when I was 16 and gorgeous and I didnt know it.. I spent all of my energy putting myself down and not realising what I had, it encourages me to just make the most of today and be happy with where I am.
Like a few of the people on here I am not inspired by people around me as I have no friends or family who are into exercise and living well so instead I inspire myself to set an example and be remembered and known for being healthy. It keeps me accountable to myself and to my reputation!

  • Paco

Thanks for providing a great site with great workouts and fantastic inspiration!

    Hi Zuzana and Frederick,
I found your videos on youtube last night and I have done a few of them this morning. They are great easy to follow and some give you a great workout. This year I an 30 and I agree with your comments on showing great fitness no matter your age. I have lost 23.8kg in 2 years using diet and fitness; I have began to love exercise. I recently quit the gym and am so glad to have found a free website with such great workout as well as great information. I am definitely bookmarking your site. I look forward to the next workout with you.

    with love from Australia

  • Jen

    Hi Zuzana,
I was surfing the net and fall upon your video’s on youtube and then eventually visted your website. I have been been watching you for hours. I love your body! I am completed motivated and ready to get my body back into shape. I mean, I want to jump into some spandex right now and do one of your workouts. Thank you so much!! I am a 31 yr old mom that works full time and has 5 kids. Fitness use to be such an important part of my life before I had my kids, I even competed once upon a time but once I started having babies, life took over and I stopped taking the time to focus on myself. After seeing your many simply, basic workouts that can be done at home, I’m finally excited agian to get into shape. I love that you have such a variety of exercises and workouts because I need change. I’ve tried to get motivated and tried pole dancing, softball, hockey, running, pilates and much more..but get bored of the same old thing and can not afford to “join” everything to get the variety that I need. So…thanks for offering all kinds of variety of excercises that can be done at home…at any time. Thank you! Thank you! I will be using your site! BTW…blue blouse..luv it!!

  • James

Hi Zuzana. I haven’t commented before and just wanted to say that I love your workouts and your website. Of course, it help that you look amazing! I wanted to know what happened to your facebook fan page? Was it unofficial? It really helped me stay updated with your updates. Thanks for all your hard work and best of luck in the future.

    Hi Zuzana,

I agree with you on working out.
Besides working out, I think the food one eats would make one grows old gracefully too. Also, one should be happy and not to worry too much on unnecessary things. On top of that, I think getting enough rest is also important to age gracefully.. oh! young genes in a family is an added advantage too.. ;)

You really inspired me to do different workouts each day, and to tone my body as am heading towards 40 in couple years.

Thank you zuzana and freddy for the wonderful workout videos!

    Suri

  • Amber

My grandmother is in her 80’s and beautiful with the peppiness of a woman in her 20’s. Because of her I believe that age is only a number!

Thanks for the inspiration! Since finding your site I am lifting heavier, and working out harder! I never knew that muscles could be so feminine. Now that I am seeing them develop I love the way it looks!

  • nick from nyc

Hey Zuzana! Great talk, really enjoyed it… You know, I’m almost 47 years old and have been working out somewhat consistently since I was 18 years old. I can distinctly remember the year of your birth, 1982; and yes, I was somewhat faster and more explosive in my movements, but I can honestly tell you that my endurance and strength were not near the high level as now in 2010. All those years of training really paid off and accumulated what I call “a reservoir of fitness.” If you take care of your body, it will almost always take care of you. For a long, long time…

  • Samantha

    You inspire me so much!
I’m turning 18 on the 28th of April 2010, and I discovered your videos not too long ago.
You inspired me to be like you, to be healthy and vital and have an amazing body…
I’m average weight with a little lining of extra insulation,
happy with myself, but your videos make me want to strive to be more than happy, to be about myself..
idk how to explain it. To live truly within my body. Because I’m not doing that. I’m not enjoying life.
I cant wait to do your workouts everyday (starting quite significantly easier of course…)

I didn’t begin until i was your age, and became so addicted that I went on to become a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. 6 Years later I am addicted even more, and have the pleasure of a job that I love every day. Love your website and workouts you do are fab! xx

hello I would like to know how to do to have a so cool abdomel what kind of diet do

  • http://fisherneal@live.com Neal Doucette

I found this to be encouraging and true. I am coming up on 37yrs and feel look 23 because of attitude and activity. Thankyou for reminding me of staying young through clean living I have been getting slack on this ideal because an injury makes it more of a challenge to be active. I found myself saying that it was to hard but now I am rising to the challenge of staying in the positive life style and not being lazy on things i find difficult. If I cant do some thing at a level I once did I will train in new ways to achieve the results I want. Thankyou for your site and instruction.

  • Sveta

I think all ages are good. There are pluses and minuses in any age. I saw one show in the theater and there one man said: “There are no old people in our life. There are children (young people) with white hair and creases on their faces.” I almost agree with this statement. We will be young in any age in our heart. I think the main goal that we should to achieve is our excellent health in any age. And we ‘ll achieve its with help our healthy lifestyle. :)

Freddy and Zuzana, I have one private question. If you don’t want answer, you should not answer :). It’s ok. Do you want have children? Did you think about how will change your lifestyle if there is a child in your life?

Sorry for english :) I hope, you understand me.)

O! And I have a good news )). I got new interval timer and I very happy, because I waited so long.((( Our post works disgustingly if delivery is from USA.

  • Joy

Thanks AGAIN for keeping this a free site! Either way, I copy down all your workouts, so I will have them for years to come and can modify and mixup. I am proficient in most of the exercises, that I can make up my own routines, but I like using yours. Real aging is merely a state of mind. If you think you re old, you ll wake up one day and find its true. Staying young, is keeping fresh in mind and body.

  • Jennifer

HI Zuzana- I am almost 34 years old with 2 children and I feel stronger, younger, sexier now than I did in my 20′s. I do your workouts in the evenings and physique 57 workouts in the mornings. I also eat clean, healthy foods instead of greasy, fattening foods. Its amazing the difference working out and eating better makes.

Thank you guys for this website. Your workouts have not only changed my body but, I have a new passion for excercising!

    God bless!!

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/utube160 Recon

Right, Aging is relative to your mindset. Keep ahead of the aging process with your current lifestyle. I only wish I did the same thing when I was 28. Maybe it is easier for women than men in our economy? Good luck.

  • David

    Happy birthday! 28? You’re just a kid ;-)

When I was in my 20′s I was very fit, but life caught up with me and I swelled, and got very out of shape. I’m getting back into things now, and my motivation is to keep up with my children!

I know the investment I make in my health today will pay dividends later on in life.

    Keep up the good work

  • CME

This may not qualify as inspirational, but I’m 39 years old and a competitive cyclist who routinely competes against guys half my age. Really fast guys. I spent years rock climbing and mountain climbing, became a gym rat for about six years, and then started devoting myself to cycling about four years ago. I do take a little longer to recover from hard efforts (5+ hr rides etc) but I still win races. Honestly, I think it’s all a state of mind. I never felt stronger than when I was 36 and finally reached my body image goals after three years of hard work and had 5% body fat and got totally ripped. It’s all played between the ears.

  • Michael

!st let me say…Happy Birthday!!! The whole “aging” thing is kinda weird…at least it seems that way in the “western world”. Think about it….medical science does all it can to extend our lives….we take great pains to exercise (some of us..lol)which can have preventative results as far as certain diseases go..it also makes the quality of our lives much better….and then we get alot of media presure telling us to “stay young”-we need to understand that the only way to stay young is to die young…I think we need to change our thought processes so that we embrace all the stages of life…not just the 1st 25years!!!! What’s the point of living to 100 if the only good part was the 1st quarter??? It seems like a strange contradiction…to me anyway.

  • Lvette

In response to Kristyna & Sheridan..I believe the running of BodyRockTv is part of their job. It may not be the regular 9-5 (conventional)job, but it’s a job nonetheless. Making the videos, writing and reading comments takes quite a bit of time.

BodyRockTv is like their office space, every time we log in we’re visiting their workplace. Advertising space are sold, not free. My hope is that there’s enough ads to cover the cost of running the site as a free site to us.

Personally, judging from what F&Z have shown us of lifestyle I don’t think they live extravagantly. They live the “good life” but not that of the fabulously rich.

Furthermore, since the site is about working out, we should expect there to be a lot of talks about working out, nutrition and other related topics. Anything less would be wrong and not professional on their part…it would be a waste of everyone’s time.

  • FDS

    Hi Zuzana,
    Greetings from Russia!
I look at you and I admire!

  • NAKETA

WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE CHILDREN SOMEDAY?

  • Georgia

    Hi there.

I am interested in being a fitness and nutrition ‘expert’ I guess you could call it. And I was wondering how you got to the point you are at now? Like what did you study in college, what type of jobs helped you move up in the field or anything that would be helpful.

You look amazing and I would like to be in a place myself where I can help others with nutrition and fitness, after I can figure out mine first haha.

    Thanks!

    Georgia

    Hey guys,
OK I’ve been a fan of your website for a while and constantly measure my fitness with Zuzana’s, my goal is to beat her (Still working on it).

I never once commented but my curiosity has gotten the best of me! Here’s my question WHAT DOES FREDDY LOOK LIKE? I mean Zuzana’s so fit and hot and I am hoping Freddy looks the same! For real though Zuzana, you are an inspiration, phish I wish my girl was as dedicated (I’m sure a lotta guys feel the same way).

Anyways guys BIG UP from Nigeria.

    Hi,
Yes we are planning on having kids – just not yet ;)

  • Alisia

I’m 25 years old and I have always been healthy but now I can say, thanks to you, that I’m getting into the beast shape of my life. I have two kids and I did not think I could get this strong. I thought I was strong before but your workouts constantly challenge me and I feel great. I really appreciate both of you and the work you have put into this site. :)

Hi Zuzana – I am almost 47 years old with 1 child and I feel good regardless of one pulmonary operation. It’s difficult for me to do everything you do. However, walking and swimming are enjoyable activity. I’m delighted that my son (12y) loves skiing, swimming, volleyball.
Site like bodyrock.tv are rare, and yours is great.
Thank you very much for the inspiration that you give me!
    go ahead

Zuzana: YOU are my inspiration!! I admire your dedication, enthusiasm, hard-work, and down-to-earth personality regardless to your perfection. Many women loose focus, and I don’t want to be one of them. So when things get tough when I’m working-out, or when I’m challenged to maintain my healthy eating, I will think you as my drive!! I am so grateful to you and Fred for making this website, because you are most certainly making a difference in people’s lives around world, more than you know.

Love you all and take care :)

  • Kansas

I’m going to be 30 in September and my 30′s are going to be what my 20′s should have been. After loosing a husband and raising 2 kids on my own, I feel I have a chance to get back some time that was lost in the past. I stumbled upon your videos a couple of weeks ago and I have to say as I’m sure you’ve been told so many times, that you have really inspired me to pick up my routine and push myself to the best of my own ability in every aspect of my life, not just the physical part but the parenting and my own job (I work in a nursing home) So thank you for doing what you do and please keep up the awesome work!

  • Victoria

I love you guys so much! You are both sooo AWESOME! I have been following Z’s workouts and both of your guys’ tips on eating clean, frequent, and small since October. I went from 23% body fat to 20% body fat (27lbs to 24lbs of fat)and 91lbs to 92.50lbs of muscle mass. I made changes with my eating habits and have been feeling great since those changes. And I am still improving and seeing amazing results! I just wanted to share this because I don’t think I’m ever going to stop since I have transitioned into this slowly and confidently. Thank you both for this motivation and inspiration to live a healthy lifestyle. It’s truly influencing to see a down to earth couple share their health and well-being to the world, and I greatly appreciate it. I’m there with you guys, going strong!

    looks great!

  • Steph

    Hello!
Your website is great. However, i think it would be nice to show us some stretching exercises after the workout, because it’s really important and we don’t really know how to do them well, it could be a good way to avoid having muscles aches.
We watch your blog every day and I thank you for all the good workout and positive attitude, it’s so great!

my friend has told me about this website, and I had to come check it out.
I’m in day 2 of my bikini summer body workout, and I’m absolutely loving it. This “coffee chat” time is amazing, I’d love to see more and more of these, they’re very inspiring, I myself am turning 26 this year, and had a baby 15 months ago, and am very very eager to get into the shape i was before, but also perhaps taking it further and get into the best shape of my LIFE.

thank you for having this website up, I think it’s wonderful what you’re doing, and you have now made a friendly follower to your website :)

    Bravo!
Age is just a number… and you definitely loose it if you don’t use it.

Many people don’t realize that to race motorcycles… you use your entire body and you must be fit and flexible. You should check out the race in BRNO sometime!

You guys have so many great things going for you. Much continued success!

    Ciao!

I AM 36 GOING ON 37…. I think I look great and I am looking forward to aging gracefully! Thank you for your posts!

  • Linda

Hi Zuzana! You have an awesome physique! One of my friends gave me a link to Trainer momma and I was browsing through her workouts on line and that’s when I noticed u on u tube, actually by accident but I’m glad I did!I’m a 30yr old nurse who just had my first baby at the end of Feb. I still have 10lbs I need to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight but for once I’m not too worried about the numbers on the scale.I’m ready to transform my body- getting super toned and sculpted. I’ve been involved in the gym since I was like 16yrs old, however I never trained really well or never ate very well. I did mostly cardio and would skip alot of meals. After I had the baby I started to do my research and have been eating clean since mid march- but eating cheat meals on the weekends cause I’m still breastfeeding and I heard that if u diet too strictly then it will affect your breastmilk supply. Been eating 6 small meals a day and loving it.I feel energized even with the lack of sleep that I’ve had with the baby. After browsing through your site I feel super motivated and super focused like never before. I love your health tips and workouts. You seem very real and thanks for sharing your knowledge. I feel that not only will I lose the 10 extra pounds I put on but I will be in the best shape of my life.
God bless u and keep up with your intense training because it really pays off! u are my inspiration.

    So you inspire me GREATLY
    Thank you very very much!!!!

I’ll be turning 40 this year (in December) and it has been a little worrisome. I have never been in “great shape” and have gotten on and off my exercise routine several times. I broke my back when I was 21 and arthritas is setting in. Well, earlier this year I decided what better way to enter into the second part of my life than to be fit, healthy and consistent! I found this site and with ALL the challenging workouts, not to mention the inspiration and encouragement from the beautiful hostess, I have stayed on track, gotten stronger and I am in better shape than ever! My back feels wonderful (although my muscles are sore, Ha ha)I hope somebody has a birthday party for my 40th, so that I can be there and show off what I have accomplished and look forward to the next chapter in my life! Thanks you two!

You guys are amazing! I am trying to get my shape back and struggling to find out how to get started. Your site is very helpful and inspiring! To see that you can exercise like this without going to the gym, fad diets or supplements, or fancy equiptment is truly inspiring. Thanks!

    Zuzana and Freddy,

I wanted to say thank you for the motivation to work out again. I stumbled across you guys on youtube one day and thought above giving your workouts a try. Not saying I was largely over weight, but I did let myself go for more than a year after moving to California from the East coast. But now I watch your videos daily and changed my diet and lost 9 pounds in 2 months and my run times and upper body strenght/endurance have increased! Thank you again for the help your web site has given me.

Hi this is my first time veiwing your site, I think it is inspiring, I have a very low self esteme when it comes to my body, and as i get older i feel mor depress, i am sometimes big on working out then i fall off cause im sooo tied. I am in school full time and i work part time and i eat on the go, most off the time I remmember to eat or want to eat its late at night. I hate the fact that Im getting older and does not look good ,my life is too bz i there any advice?

I think the term “move it or loose it” should be changed to “move it and loose it” as a reference to weight. :)

You’re absolutely right…I’m young for now but I know a lot of older people (training & life) and it’s definitely something I recognize…You only get old in your head!

I believe that if you think about growing old…you will.

If you think about each moment of your life as a continuation of your journey, it continues to get more exciting.

Hi! I want to thank you for being kind enough to teach us gals how to be fighting fit! I stumbled across your videos on youtube 4 months ago, I’m now on your site daily for my workouts and whilst I’m nowhere near as fit as you are, you’re a constant inspiration to me! I hope you’ll consider a total workout video sometime soon, in the meantime, keep up the good work! hugs!

Freddy you should be in the coffee talk video with Zuzana.
It would be so much more realistic and fun.
It would be great to watch you both chat about topics rather than hear you from behind the camera.

I am 31 years old and when I turned 30 I made a goal to train and be in the best shape of my life. I made another goal to enter a fitness competition in the Bikini category. I was so intense. I got a trainer for 1 day a week and he helped me with diet etc. So in 4 months I went from 20% body fat to 10% and boy it was tuff. I got 4th place in the contest so that was a plus. Now that the show is past me I am trying to get find other ways to workout with out constant iron at the gym. The diet is the hardes for me at this point. I really admire your healthy lifestyle. How often are you working out and what is a normal diet to stay as fit as you are? Thanks

28 is not old!!! I am going to be 38 in 2 months time and feeling fabulous. Will feel even more so if I could get my abs to look like yours by then 8-) The most important thing is to enjoy what you do in life and take great care of yourself. And I think you are doing just that. Love your website.

    Dear Zuzana and Frederik!

I have some questions concerning the beginning of training and workout. How often do you exercise in one week and how long do you exercise per day? How long did you exercise to look as good as you look today? Do you eat sweets or foods with a moderate fat content or don’t you eat them at all?
Can you show some exercises against cellulite? And do you know, if it is possible to diminish cellulite to a minimum with tightening the body and exercising?

    Nice Greetings!
You are great and it’s nice to have such an inspiration! :)
