when I cook beets, I usually wrap them individually in foil, roast in an oven at 325F for about an hour to 1 hour 15 mins…. until they are soft and tender when you poke them with a fork. then take them out and cool about 5 mins, unwrap, and peel. If you like them cold, you can then put them in the fridge to make this a faster process.

One of my favourite salads is with warm beets, freshly peeled. I put spinach, slice the warm beets, a little bit of crumbled goat cheese, and walnuts (or pecans), topped with a little splash of olive oil. It’s so tasty and fresh!

boil it with peel, its easier to peel them like that and it’s much less messier ;) :D

Im sipping this smoothy while typing this comment and its very delicious. I like the beetflavour and the sour kick from the cranberries.
Btw, this is an ideal! recipe for when your recovering from a cold, or suffer a urine infection. I study fytology, this know this stuff. :P
