Home Made Sandbag by BodyRocker Katie – Team Colorado

my sandbag? 10 individual 1 pound bags of rice, (zuzana’s idea) inside of my free with purchase of a sweater, pink stripped victoria’s secret tote, rolled up and taped closed. I also made two cute handles with the duct tape! works so well, using it for these 300 sandbag squats.

that is my sleeping Kitty in the background, she isn’t into working out so much!

OMG … u’re a Genius!!!  Although, oughtta say ‘Katie’s Secret’ instead of Victoria’s … but since u let the cat out of the bag, it’s no longer a secret is it?!!!  I think ’Katie’s Kreation’ has a nice ring to it, don’t u? *o*

great idea..i was going to buy a sandbag off ebay for $50 but with the weighted plates it will be close to $100, so tonight I went through old duffle bags in the closet and decided to make my own!

Nice. I don’t have sandbag still… I might do a homemade too. I’m thinking buying sand in Home Depot then make it something like that. :)

Hi Maria, You should get “play sand” and heavy trashs bag would work in substitution of the cool Victoria’s Secrets tote Katie used. BTW, I did a cat litter sandbag a while back that can be found here: Chris’ DIY Sandbag. You could modify it with belts or duct tape handles. I never did as I just buy a Ultimate Sandbag…which I modified with padded handles that are easier to grab.

      Take care,
      –Chris

I love it! I usually just grab a bag of 50 pound bag of either horse feed or dog food. I get the feed that comes in a plastic bag because when I sweat, the bag sticks onto my back when I do squats and puts less pressure on my hands and wrists. But I don’t have handles! I’m going to try your idea!
