Easy Does It Challenge :)

Hi BodyRockers,

After a pretty explosive week of training our butts off today we are going to rein back and take it relatively easy. We are going to do light to moderate skipping and then have a stretch. That’s it! There is no workout for tomorrow, but we will be back to talk about this week’s diet challenge and with a Superfoods recipe so check back in for that.

I just want  to tell you guys that I am really inspired by how many of you started the 400 rep workout yesterday and took it as far as you could. Congratulations to everyone who finished it, and congratulations to everyone who put their hearts into it but couldn’t finish. Taking yourself beyond your comfort zone and telling Brutus to “eff off” as one of you BodyRockers wrote in the comments is winning a battle in itself. My expression in the main picture today is actually me giving Brutus my “eff” off  look :) This whole journey starts with taking the initiative – which often just means getting up and trying – little actions taken on a consistent basis build momentum and deliver results. You hear it over and over in the comments – BodyRockers who not too long ago would have never believed in a million years that they could complete a 400 rep workout  are now stronger, faster, more agile and have the mental stamina and will power to propel themselves through 400 Burpees. It really is amazing how fast our bodies strengthen and become more powerful, and to experience this change first hand – to feel yourself transforming and becoming not only more confident in yourself but more comfortable in your own body is life changing. Don’t listen to the cynics – take inspiration from your fellow BodyRockers and keep rocking!

    Sounds achievable after the 400:) But until waking up tomorrow I’m not able to say whether I’m going to be able to get up and go to work at all:) I’ll probably have to and when I’m at it, I will try to do this as well, just to keep keeping Brutus off in shape;)

    I’m really sore from the 400, but I feel powerful! I woke up this morning and my abs are so tight, It’s awesome!! I’m going to blast my favorite music and enjoy this skip. As Jay-Z would say “This’ll be the victory lap!”

    hey you gotta start somewhere right? at least you tried it. :) plus it wasn’t an easy workout by any stretch of the imagination. And you can always try the workout again and check for improvements :) I felt like towards the end i was losing proper form so maybe in like a week (or when im arms heal) ill try it again and try to maintain form through the whole workout. just keep rocking, thats the important thing. ;)

    This is my fav outfit to date. I personaly prefer working out in cotton. (except sportsbras, I like the super soft ones from Target if you can believe it)

    I’m taking Sunday off and might do this light cardio tomorrow Monday morning…if I can get up early enough :D otherwise 2 rest days for me! Happy V-day, Zuzana and Freddy!

    Regarding the flus and colds your wee one will bring home, I noticed a huge difference in how often I would catch the bug when I stopped snacking on his left overs! Not sure if this applies to you, but anything to avoid the sicknesses is huge for your energy level. It is a tough time any way you slice it, but it does get better very soon.

    Today is my once a week heavy duty slow burn workout. Took a couple hours to churn through but it is great for building strength and injury prevention. I am hoping my shoulder will feel strong enough in a week or two to be back fully on track.

    I had ganglion cysts in both wrists from teenage years (I loved gymnastics… ). I couldn’t put weight on either wrist unless my wrist was straight. I put up with it for 30 years believing surgery was the only cure (I don’t believe in surgical cures)

    Then I went to a local guy who did Active Release Therapy on both wrists for about 30seconds each wrist. Instant full cure and it never came back!! Unbelievable! Never give up.

    Then all you have to do is drink gallons of water every day and you will become the wonder woman of pull ups! ;)

    Ok, I just did it…!! o/ After a few days feelling stomache I´m able again to bodyrock with you guys… I´m soooooooo happy now!!
    I did the 400 workout today and after I went to skip because I was feeling SOOO behind with the workouts, I´m feeling great, it took me 30:40 seconds to complete the 400 workout and I don´t know if I´ve been without exercise for much time, but I feel like I´ve never sweat so much in my hole life… LOL
    I´m anxious to see the today´s workout but unfortunatelly I´ll have to do today´s workout tomorrow… no problem, maybe I´ll mix the tomorrow´s with today´s workout, the important thing is to keep active, isn´t =D

    I was sick too, but don´t get discouraged, when you get better go and exercise, I got better today and did the 400 workout and after jumped to this one, you´ll feel great!! Just take care of yourself as best as you can to get better soon!! =)

    Do what your body asks to… I used to separate muscular groups but for me, working out everyday like Z does is the best… You have to find what is better for your body and go after it! =)

    OMG! Sooooo cute, brought a happy tear to my eye. Brutus comes in many forms I guess. I have 3 cuties at home myself…I’ll have to keep a close eye on them:)

    i know this!!! i have 3 and they all get in an snuggle – usually i wake with all three in bed. but, i exercise for them – so i can chase them and be happy with myself and therefore a better mother. being in shape means i can keep up with them, play tag, chase them down the street, play hockey, ski, etc., with them. snuggles won’t last forever, so i try to enjoy it while i can.

    Skipped- boy i thought I was getting in got shape w/all the workout but I felt so out of shape doing this skipping! however, i did complete all 30mins. towards end I did intervals of 10:30secs. next month i’m doing this again!

    Im soo happy! I put skipping rope as my daily cardio and im impressing myself more and more every day!few days ago ive bit my record.. last time it was 4009-30 mins , this time it was 4140 -30 min, apart from that when i feel to do more intense workout i do high knees skipping in a realy fast rhythm (as boxers do i would say) 4 rounds 100times with 10 sec rest!im telling u! u wana sweat? try that! :)))

    I hope somebody still reads this. Did you do this in one single step. You were skipping the whole 30mins without break or anything??? OMG that seems hard :D Yesterday I was Skipping 26min, but in intervals of 10/30…so in the end I was skipping 20min. And today I am so sore in my calves…how would that be after 30min at a stretch?
