I’m Crazy But You Like It! Exercise Challenge

Hi BodyRockers,

So we have some pretty terrific and exciting news. We are going to be taking a trip soon somewhere warm! We are heading to California to see the sights and do some Burpees :) The details of the trip are still coming together so we will keep you updated but we are super excited!

Now for the challenge! Whoever posts up the highest score in the comments is the winner. I have to beat Freddy at this challenge because he has beaten me the last 2 times in a row, and he needs an attitude adjustment. He is starting to say things like “I didn’t realize how much ice hockey and our workouts have in common – the Czech’s can’t beat the Canadians at either.” Well it’s time I show him what Team Czech Republic is made from :)

Our competition here is of course friendly, but when you have some numbers to try and beat it can be extremely powerful. Besides competing with each other, we are also aiming to beat our own personal best times. Make sure to post your scores in the comments and keep track of them in your journals.

Enjoy the challenge and push hard!

Zuzana

P.S.

Today’s challenge was inspired by Shakira’s music video “Loca” which we have been listening to non-stop all day. Besides having an incredible voice, Shakira is the embodiment of strong, sexy confidence and I find her enormously inspiring in every way. Her video is below so that you can listen to it while you do your challenge!

I did this yesterday as an addition to the Fit Test and managed to do 65 reps! A pleasant surprise for me, really :)

tweaked my neck in the first 2 seconds of warming up today…you know the one…feels like your tendons are all crossed up in one side……finished warming up anyway…as long as I kept my head straight it wasn’t too bad….managed 67 sets too………Feb 21 it was 60 sets…………passed on skipping today…hope my neck sorts itself out by tomorrow

  • http://www.youasamachine.com You As A Machine

Nice going Allpurpose!  Funny how we forget how tough the workouts are until we’re about ten sets in  and then there’s no turning back.  I think I’ll make a note to turn on the speed a little earlier.  Once I got to sixty sets I felt the adrenaline kick in to race to 68 and then when I got to 70 I was actually hoping to hear the beeper sound!  Was able to squeeze in one last set to finish at 71.
Thanks for the tag.  Will revisit this workout in one months time.

  • BodyRocker_Bonnie

I gave myself a much needed rest day today after doing the Give Me a Reason workout on Thursday.  Holy glute abuse…those jump lunges, gotta love em.  Looking forward to being a Hot Mess tomorrow morning.  :)   I’m doing my mental prep for it and now I’m off to get good rest.  I think this should put me three good steps ahead of Brutus already.

  • Vascao

So I’m at 67 and darn you Freddy, my timer goes off.  Another great “anywhere” workout.  Gotta love it!  Get some, then get some more!  Semper Fi!

  • Hal

Arggghhhhh.  You both beat me this time.  I was 60 and a half.  I’ll do better next time:)

    70 reps!!
20 min skip after. Feeling good!

  • http://www.youasamachine.com You As A Machine

Warmed up with 10x stairs (by two’s) + light stretching.

71 sets in 10 minutes (one month ago I did 67).  Wondering when the beeper was going to sound!  Sometimes I have this bizarre fear that the batteries will have died and I’ll just keep going and going…have I become slave to my timer?

Great workout. Followed by the same Ashtanga yoga routine I did yesterday (45 min. no vinyasa).

Body Maintenance done.  Next item on the agenda…

    + 1 B 4 E.

  • KIMBERLAKE93

WOW!!  I know I could’ve pushed myself harder and got to about 65 or so but I took a break at each of the 20 set marks.  I know my pace was good too as I only did 3 less than Zuzka but defs could’ve pushed myself more!  I did 58 sets in 10 minutes!  Now gonna try one of the earlier workouts from this week……

  • http://www.youasamachine.com You As A Machine

Hey Allpurpose, you up for this challenge tomorrow? Let’s see if we can catch up to Freddy!

Did this at lunch today and at least I beat my PB, not by much but I’ll take any improvement over none. Last time I managed 50. This time 53. Thanks as always.

JUST did this–69!  I’m so proud of myself!  Now I’m going to do You Push Me Workout.  LOVING the sweat pouring down my face right now. :)

  • Sarah G

    66! That was fun! :)

  • http://www.youasamachine.com You As A Machine

Did this 10 minute challenge today, sretched then jumped in the lake to cool off.
67 sets in 10 minutes. I beat my previous score from May 2011, by one set!
Will revisit this next month and see if I can match Freddy.

The first time I did this I completed 50 reps. Tonight I did 58! Tomorrow I look forward to the tight buns workout :)

Just did it, 46 reps in 10 minutes, I didnt stop once. I think it is not bad after 2 weeks of being ill :) I am gonna do another workout later today (Born This Way is on my schedule next), so I can catch on what I missed :)
Loved this challenge, it was hard to push through without stoping for a second :D But I am glad that I did not lost all my strenght :D

  • Tereza_CZ

My score is 59 & 1/2 for this challenge, and I did the Survivor workout yesterday. I had Brutus visiting here from Sunday to Wednesday but I’m back on track now. These were 4 days off which is not good, I lost some srenght, gained some weight, but it happened after more than 4 weeks of working out really hard every single day. Depression and exercise are really two opposites which can affect each other – and some of us are right in the middle of this battle. When I exercise, I can avoid this gloomy mood quite easily, but when it’s cold outside, school is stressful and practice work is monotonous, boring and not paid, one can easily start to think that life has no sense and it’s difficult to get into the exercise clothes and start doing what they have been made for. It’s also easy to warm oneself with some comfort food, I really want this terrible winter to come to an end, life will get so much easier…I’ve never noticed that weather could affect me that much. Of course, my guilt is in the first place but next week I’m having my first psychotherapy, I’m quite excited about it, I should have made this appointment long ago:) Sorry for my emo-posts but it’s quite good self-reflection and I hope I’m not the only one fighting this (although I don’t wish this happening to anyone).

  • Nicole

Three months ago I “fell off the wagon”. At that time, I’d been following Zuzana and Freddie for 3 months. So, 6 months after my initial start-up with Bodyrock, I’m back to it! :)
I managed 35 reps on this one! Very proud to have made it that far!

  • Sarihndipity83

Lol.. I loved your post :) Fortunately I had an awesome workout yesterday and am planning on another strong go-round tomorrow! You are absolutely right about great outfits and hairdos being huge motivators for working out.. So weird how little things like that have such mental affects on us (women).. Thanks again for the words of motivation!! :)

I am lagging a day behind and planned to do the Quantum, but I came back from my early morning jog to find 5 construction workers in my yard. (We are repairing the guest house since friends were dropping through the deck…three drops in one day was a sure clue I had to take action.)
I wasn’t about to try the Quantum workout with all the jump rope while they were working away (did not want to make a spectacle of myself, LOL, crazy old lady), so I retreated to the living room to do this one in privacy. I survived 76. Dizzying!! Good thing I had the mat down to indicate which direction to roll next or I would’ve been rolling all over the place. I really like the rolling bit. It just feels so good! I couldn’t wait for the timer to buzz by the end! Good fun! Thank you!

    • AudraFit

Haha it’s actually a funny visual of rolling all over the place, Janet :) My 3 year old daughter was doing that while I was doing the commandos and it sure had me rolling in laughter, literally!

Wanna say something more, Bruce Lee already used interval training in his last days, he was also looking for new techniqhes for develop better funcionality of human body. All his day, all his life was dedicated to it, he also trained his mind to become more focused. There´s a passage in this book where he wrote about being always more and more focused in being the best in all kinds of senses, and never give up, like atrully warrior minded man.
I had the opportunity to meet a shaolin warrior, in the temples they doesn´t have chairs, it´s really interesting to look for extreme examples of training and devotion in marcial arts, for me it´s where resides the limits of human beings, and that´s what´s I looked for all my life. Unfortunatelly I don´t have more enought time, but I got to train more than 12 hours a day. I lived for it, so there´s no limits, and that´s why I can say, calves, abdominals and forearms doesn´t get overtrained… You just have to go easy and slow, but when your limits are far, they can be trained as hard as a rock!

If you go to California you must get north of LA to Santa Barbara and San Francisco, my two home towns. And then continue west to Hawaii!!

  • http://www.janetspreiter.com Janet

I am in your age group. I haven’t been able to convince any one my age to take on Bodyrock either. I love the challenge.
    Take care of those knees!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maria-Lanier/100000216811315 Maria Lanier

Me too. I am now thinking to go up there every weekend. I think it’s better to form a BodyRocker LA Team and do bodyrock there altogether. That will be more fun. Everybody have their own gymboss. Maybe Freddy and Zuzie may watch us online if we can find a signal up there. :)

  • Lindsay

My first time doing a challenge and I got 36 reps in there. I did my best to do the full exercises but I have to admit that I cheated a bit on some of the power ups from the ground and sometimes did the modified version. Those were the biggest challenge for me. Man that was tiring! Good cardio :D

Loved how quick it was! These shorter challenges and workouts are definitely things I can manage to squeeze into my busy day of studying :D Thank you!

  • Leslie-Anne

I just finished this workout and did 54 and a half! Plus 12 minutes of interval skipping. The best feeling in the world is fresh out of the shower just after finishing an intense and sweating workout! Thanks for making my day…. (again!)

    LOCA LOCA LOCA!

Very disappointed today :( Went to the gym to knock out today’s workout and 10 into it (while jumping rope) I got this pounding headache!! I literally I had to pack my stuff and go home. I could not do anymore. I’m so thrown off right now. I always feel set back when I miss a bodyrock workout.. Grrrrrrrr… ;( I’m trying to figure out what I did wrong the last couple days to trigger this headache!! I did drink a few sips of some horrible cheap alcohol last night (not even enough to get my tipsy) and I also went out to eat and what I ordered wasn’t at ALL what I thought it was, and it ended up being deep fried!! and not at what I thought… but I still ate it because I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of my company). And to top it off I didn’t work out Friday or Thursday because of 13-hours days at school. Uggghhh… I feel a downhill spiral coming on.. Hopefully I can pull myself back together tomorrow.

    awesome!!

  • http://twitter.com/FlaviaRequim Flavia Requim

keep going!! We all feel muscle burn!! ^^

  • http://twitter.com/FlaviaRequim Flavia Requim

abs muscles can be worked everyday, they doesn´t get overtrained because they have mixed muscular fibers, like forearms and calves, those group of muscles can be worked everyday.. =)
Just don´t go too hard because you can have to much pain and you won´t be able to work because of the pain and not because overtraining… hope it helps

    • Martin

Flavia, are you sure that abs, forearms, and calves cannot become overtrained? Never heard of it. And, of course, I don’t believe it :-) Well, you can exercise these muscles every day, as well as any other muscles, if the intensity of exercising them is low enough or if you want to stop your progress, but saying that they don’t get overtrained is saying too much.

      • http://twitter.com/FlaviaRequim Flavia Requim

I also told her not to overstate with exercises in those muscular groups (because of acid latic), but I really know that we can train those muscular groups very hard, every day and they doesn´t shrinck.
In marcial arts we train those muscular group so hard that sometimes it´s unbelievable, everyday, harder and harder, and comes a time that those muscular groups doesn´t feel any pain and they develop big sizes that we could not even get close with another type of muscular groups. If you work your legs(for example, can be your arms as well) this way everyday the legs will become very defined and small, like runners, they are small and defined because they work in maximum capacity, for hours and hours, everyday, everything… It´s only a matter to check out for info. Matt Furey is one of the instructors I´ve been reading and he´s also my krav magas teacher instructor, and he talks about it in his articles of martial arts, I have a book, Bruce Lee´s book, where he describes his diary and what he did to become more agile, small, hard as rock and defined. gonna get the name and I´ll post for you. =)

        • http://kenjibankhead.posterous.com/ ashtromanius

Just so everyone is clear…. lactic acid buildup IS NOT, never will be and never has been, the reason for muscle soreness. Lactic acid threshold and pushing it is different. All muscles can be overtrained- but less likely to be overtrained if you are doing bodyweight exercises (hence why the military can make you do pushups everyday and not every other).

          • http://twitter.com/FlaviaRequim Flavia Requim

I will not post any further explanation regarding functionality of exercise, I think the help I could give is not necessary and I should even be talking a lot of nonsense.
I am very upset and I feel disrespected as never disrespected anyone here, because I try to post references research station where something
            But it´s ok, no worries.
Don´t want to disrespect anyone here and wanna say sorry to Zuzana and Freddy because here is their home and I feel much friendship and respect and admiration to you guys.
            thanks anyway for everything

            • http://kenjibankhead.posterous.com/ ashtromanius

Flavia… After re-reading my post, I can see why you would be upset. My sincerest apologies a hundred times over!!!! I was in a rush when responding to your post… and should have taken a bit more time in my response. I wasn’t sure what the book said, as I haven’t read it, or what you meant by Lactic Acid (which is why I mentioned both kinds). I do apologize for making you upset. It was not my intent at all.

              • http://twitter.com/FlaviaRequim Flavia Requim

Wooooinnnnnn!! You´re so cute, no problem, I am very sensitive, maybe too much, I will explain myself better too, sometimes I rush to answer and some things gets unexplained or with bad explanations..
But this is good, it helps us to improve even our ways to explain ourselves.. no problem, you are a sweet person.. *_*
I will post some rich texts here where it is better explained, I think it´s good for everyone to know about it, it is about how our bodies respond to super hiper hard training, it from marcial arts.
BTW, it´s my Bday today, I´m very happy, and I want to apologise too for my super sensitivity… (Shy)

Hello Pocahontas, just keep bodyrocking and don’t focus too much for the number. Everytime we do bodyrock, we’re building some strength and power, meaning muscles so we might be a little bit heavier. I would suggest, look at the mirror and your clothes, if you’ll be happy, that’s it. :)

If you want to add skipping, then you can do moderate skipping after the workout, and when you’re doing it later during the day, then you have to give it a little more oompf.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maria-Lanier/100000216811315 Maria Lanier

    Hi Andrea,
My trick not to eat unhealthy food, I don’t buy them or don’t cook the one I really love. Buy more of green and colorful fruits. Before you eat, think and ask yourself this way, “If I eat it what would I get? Is it beneficial to my body?” I have this words that I found in a book a long time ago that stuck in my head “EAT TO LIVE and not LIVE TO EAT”.
As for your workout, I don’t agree being still or idle all the time. I believe you can walk or can do dancing like line dance, salsa, or anything that make you happy and anything that let you move… For motivation, stay with us here and read our daily blogs/comments. :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maria-Lanier/100000216811315 Maria Lanier

You’re right… all our routine are hard, tough and very challenging and it doesn’t matter what numbers you got, we are all still a winner!!!! :)

So I’m 21 yrs old, 5’3-5’4, and 110 lbs. I was sick for about seven years so I never exercise but I know I can push myself to now. This was my first workout and I could only go as fast as you were in the video. BUT I still sweat so I know I was doing my best. I didn’t count the reps because my dog kept trying to lick me the entire time I was on the floor. I’m guessing I did 40. I’m going to try and discipline myself to keep up with your workouts every day :)

could someone tell me where i can get a sandbag from, in the uk.

    thank you

  • Jess ♥

Last year I followed your workouts religiously every day. The past few months though I have fallen out of the loop, and have gotten into some bad eating habits and quit working out. I have no idea why this happened, I love to work out more than anything! I finally kicked myself in the butt and got up this morning to workout. I’m so glad I did! I feel so energized now, and remember why I loved your workouts so much. I don’t ever want to fall into that rut again, and I don’t plan to. Thaks Z, and all the other BodyRockers for all your inspiration!

I managed 32 reps, and I’m pretty damn proud of myself. I’ll try this same workout again in a month to track my progress. :)

For the diet challenge… I`m already eating 5 times per day, but I will add an extra meal of Superfood. I did 55 reps with perfect form for the challenge, and 20 min. of interval skipping! I really wanted to push harder to beat Freddy… but I didin`t know how… :S I really was at my max… One day…. One day…. you`ll see! ;)

California sounds awesome! There’s been far too much snow this year in the northeast. I only did 47 but they were all power ups and I touched the ceiling on a lot of the jumps. Keeping my balance on knee tucks was tough, but got easier. LOCA!

  • AudraFit

Booya! This Loca chicka did 69 reps for team Zuzana! By the way, how the heck did some of ya’ll manage 70+ reps? I felt like a fish flopping all over the place just trying to get to 70 LOL! Wow! Hopefully I can survive the “Give Me A Reason” workout now.

lol! That is so funny! I get so dizzy too! A dizzy, wet fish floppin around the floor in the name of bodyrock! ha!

  • http://delightfultastebuds.wordpress.com Jos

I did 65!! (Dang almost got you, Freddy!) It was quite fun, not too hard physically, but more mentally..so many time while in the middle of doing it felt like never ending and of course Brutus was keep nagging me to take a break every after rep. But I ignored it….well I admit, I did take a little 2 mini breaks in between…

and I continued with 40 reps of reverse push ups. Great exercise challenge to start this week!

I’m gonna have to call this workout “we come 1″, that;s what I listened to while doing this workout, and i did 55 reps. Maybe listening to shakira would have had a good impact on my workout, because she annoys me!

Hi Amber :) Glad you found us :)

  • Mary

    Hi Zuzana!

This was the very first exercise I have tried on your site and I am proud to say I did 64 reps!!! I couldn’t believe I had it in me :) I am definitely going to be visiting this site daily to work out with you. I use to go to the gym and spend hours but now I think I can see excellent results in much less time if I stick with you.

    Thanks!!

Hi – just whatever we post for that day :)

Hi – just whatever we post for that day :)

  • Sara

I only managed to do about 25, I’m a beginner and in the middle of it it got so hard that I lost count.. Sooo… around 25!

    Thanks for these suggestions!

  • Isabelle Gauthier

Hey! Good day for Team Canada!
Freddy! I tried sooooo hard to come close to your score just for the fun of knowing that we can beat the Czech….. ice hockey or not… and I was able to do 65 reps!!!! I’m absolutely happy (no offense, Zuz….. I still love you !!) , and I realized that having a score to beat, some precise goal, makes me try harder, go faster, sweat more, and I think this time I gave all I had!!
    Big hugs! Go team Canada!!

    hello,

I am soooo happy after my knee injury in oct last year I started to do again exercises and today I done summer workout cardio/ core day 4. I feel amazing!!!!

  • Doris

    Hey Zuzana,
I think you should do the challenges/workouts AFTER Freddy. To know which score you have to beat motivates you even more than just do the challenge/workout… It’s worth a try… ;)

    • http://twitter.com/FlaviaRequim Flavia Requim

I was going to say the same…

    58 1/2 reps for me

So what is the new diet challenge? :)

Bwahahah, that ‘Ice Hockey’ comment just killed me! xD

I am loving that Shakira song! :)

I was at the doctor today, and bad news: I have a pharynx and rhinopharynx inflammation, so it means one week in bed on antibiotics (I hate antibiotics) :( Doc strongly suggested not to do workouts while I will be on the pills. I will miss another week and I feel terrible about it :( But doc told me that I will be fine after these pills. I will secretly do a few push ups here and there, to keep myself alive a little bit :D

I cannot share any score today (again :( ) so I will at least share the funniest dream I had today:
Seems that I miss bodyrocking so much that I have strange Bodyrock.tv dreams! :D
the dream: It was summer, very nice weather, and me and Zuzanka were having a workout and running session outside my grandma’s house. We were bodyrocking all day, skipping, running, squatting, mountainclimbing and so on. Suddenly it was dark, but it was still very warm summer night, so we went home, to my grandma’s house, and outside the house, there was my grandma, grandpa, brother, aunt and uncle AND FREDDY :D Freddy was making some healthy barbecue meal for my family while Zuzanka was killing me with workouts all day :D So we came to them and Freddy was chatting with my relatives in fluent czech :D :D :D And suddenly Zuzanka had very short red hair and it was morning, they both got into their car and left to visit another bodyrocker :D I also remember that Freddy had about 5 cell phones and they were ringing all night :D It was so funny and so weird :D

Yay, California, I wanna go there one day :) Have fun on your trip guys, keep us updated! :)
I will see you in a week with my post illness score!!! :D

    • Anonymous

Get well soon!!!..I know how you feel, almost guilty not to workout…
and about the dream…I had one or two bodyrock dreams myself…we just consider Zuzana and Freddy a part of our life, like a friends and they pop up in our dreams…
      hihi

      take care!!

    • poacheR

Don’t do secret pushups nina :)
There’s a small chance you cause worse problems working out with a rampant infection. Not to mention, prolong its duration (and hence its potential consequences)

These hickups are a part of life. Bodyrock will still be here when you’re back. If you’ve got the right mindset, which you seem to, then I promise the ‘setback’ is going to be a very minor one anyway.

Taz! Thank you, I read the post of yours, you are absolutely right. I didn’t wanna go to doctor last week, because 3 of 4 people at work were ill and I was the only one going to work, and I though it is just some kind of virosis I will cure myself by few weeks of rest as I usually do, but because it didn’t get better over the weekend, I decided to go to the doctor even though I knew she will not let me go to work. I stopped at work with some papers from doctor on my way home (and needed to buy some fruits and veggies, cause I consumed everything during the weekend), and it seems that my boss is sick too now :D
I really wanted to go to work, cause I love my job, but I decided to put my health on a first place, because now I know that if I am suppose to work on 100%, I need to be 100% ready and fit. Guess the same thing is with exercising…
Your post really opened my eyes now, all I will do are bicep curls with a tea mug :D :D :D

In the past I was always worried (actually I always knew) that I will not continue after a long break. But this time I am sure I will go on when I get healthy, cause working out became a part of my life the same as going to work :) I will only be a little weaker, but I will catch up on that soon, I am sure.
Thank you for the “parent-doctor” talk, I really appreciate it, I am glad you took your time to “attack” me :)

only take good care of yourself with affection to yourself… you´ll get better soon!! <=)
I have problems with sore throat too and it´s anyway.. <=(

    Hi Zuzana,

Crazy but we like it? This is true! We’re all a little crazy and I’m pretty happy that way myself. Love your choice of a workout tune! Should I point out Southern Cal is currently around 60 degrees during daylight and low 40s during night! Nothing like the Seychelles!

Love the challenge and will try it when I can this week.

You take care and my best wishes to both of you and all the little bodyrockers out there in the ether!
    –Chris

I can’t wait to see what the new diet challenge is about!

Wow, California? I am so jealous! :D

    Hey Zuzi,

You should ask Freddy to do the challenge first ;) Knowing his score will help you push harder and beat him. I like when you post your scores as well because it gives me an idea of our many reps I should aim for and it helps me push hard to try to beat you. The men team is not going to beat us so easily ;)

  • Dheana

Hey, just a little suggestion Freddy – the graphic elements look great, but what about matching the color of the block behind the text where you display the name of the exercise with Zusana’s outfit? Or choosing a stronger pop of color.
Just a friendly suggestion! Keep being awesome! :-)

  • Dheana

It’s so exciting to watch you two explode…good for you! Your success is inspiring and supported by so many! :)

I look forward to doing this challenge in the morning and will post my score for Team Canada (no offense Zuzi! ;) )

    hey andrea8)
are you allowed to do light yoga or stretching? if you are that would help keep you on track a lot. also meditation! just focus on your breath, observe your thoughts, but let them go. picture yourself looking amazing on a beautiful beach, perfect body, and glowing with happiness. Really try to keep your portions small, and eat healthy foods. if you find yourself about to mindlessly inhale junk food, just sit down and start breathing. take a break, let your thoughts and mind slow down for a second. focus on your breath. then picture yourself on the beach again, continue to breath. then just walk away!

good luck! stay strong! come watch zuz workout everyday and just imagine that you are too lol

hey guys! i completed 64 rounds of this exercise! soo close to beating freddy!

all day i had been feeling terrible, stir crazy, isolated, bored, but with tons of stuff to get done.
this feeling makes me eat8( when im not hungry. i hate that. when im eating, my body is telling me stop!! but my hands wont listen. i didnt eat to much tho, a handful of dark chocolate chips and a scoop of pb, and 3 italian cookies, ickk. i didnt even want them.

i think its the idea that we have that junk food is good that makes us want to eat it. im eating these cookies and i can just feel how aweful they are and how much bad stuff is in them and how bad they will be for all my progress, but i eat anyway.

i was in a funk today, im not sure why. but i come to bodyrock, and i see the new challenge. i really did not feel like it, but i was feeling so terrible and lost that i knew i had to do something. i had way too much energy and nothing to do with it. so i did the workout and 20 minutes skipping and stretching and i felt sooooooo amazing especially after my shower. complete bliss, and now im glowing with happiness.

so thank you. if i ever get into one of those moods again where all i want to do is eat, i promise that im going on to bodyrock and finding a new or old workout to do instead of self destructive behavior. im working out way to hard to eat it away in crap i dont even want.

Cheating once in a while is ok as long as you don’t stop bodyrocking… and as long as you know your limit. :)

I only did 45 reps for 10 mins. I didn’t beat Zuzie this time. I felt my head rolling everytime I roll on my mat *LOL*…. but, I did 2 extra.
    FOR MY ABS
    Crunches with 20lbs kettlebell = 50
    side crunches, left & right = 25, 25 = 50
    bicycle = 50
    Hip Thrust = 50
=did all that for 5 mins and 55 secs

    SPINNING/CYCLING (used racer bike) = 20 mins
(I started using my bike in replace of my jumping rope. but if I’m outside, I used my rope)

I’m done for the day. :)

    Zuzana (and Freddy),

I just want you guys to know how much you are appreciated (worldwide) and how much you have made a difference in my life. I really appreciate your effort in sharing so many tips with us and your positive outlook on life.

I love your sense of adventure and care-free personalities. That is what life is all about! –living. All we know is that we are going to be somewhere near the Sunset Blvd. LA is such a huge city! I am really excited about this trip. I hope that we will have the opportunity to visit San Diego as well.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maria-Lanier/100000216811315 Maria Lanier

California is a HUGE state…. Sunset Blvd is just my neighbor… :P You and Freddy can explore along Hollywood where the museum is… You can play with the life size star wax-mannequin there. I never been there though but I’m planning to… Here’s the site for that: http://www.hollywoodwaxmuseum.com/

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maria-Lanier/100000216811315 Maria Lanier

Hey, go to Grand Canyon too. That place is amazing nature.. You may go hiking too. I’ve been there and wanted to go back. I heard Yosemite Park is nice too, one in my list to go. :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Cienna-Buckner/728905106 Cienna Buckner

Hhmm, let me guess, you guys are going to Southern Cali, aren’t you? Personally, I vote for you guys to come up north, but I may be biased since I live in the Bay Area. Golden Gate Burpees do sound nice, though, don’t they? As for warm & sunny, so long as you make it out before summer, you should be fine here! In fact, the little town where I live spent the month of January in the 70′s and 80′s – not bad at all! Plus, the wine, the redwoods, the House of Airs workout class on a giant trampoline…..But I guess the lower half of the state has its charms, too.

Only did 32 today. Wore out!! Was a fun workout though. Gonna do another 4 minutes of jump rope… without the rope LOL.

  • Anonymous

I lose! Only 57 :( maybe if I wouldn’t have stop to write them down every ten, but I didn’t want to lose count. Love the Shakira video!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maria-Lanier/100000216811315 Maria Lanier

No you don’t. I’m the one who lose, I only able to do 45.. :( but I did extra for my abs, over 5 mins plus spinning for 20 minutes instead of jumping rope. :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1034423150 Isabella Michel

Oh yeah! I did 3 sets of push-ups, crunches, and chin-ups to failure, one of your workouts listening to Loca on repeats, a mile, and now I stretch to Oh Happy Day! =D

      lol

  • immargz

I plan on doing this workout later this afternoon, however I am still super sore from doing the born this way workout and give me a reason workout the last two days. My glutes are killing me!!!…. also, I was wondering if you guys have any advice for a person who is relatively fit, exercises regularly, and tries to eat healthy (aside from the occasional sweet) to just lose between 5-10 lbs of body fat. I have been trying for years and I just cant seem to drop the extra fat layer that covers my muscles…

    Thanks for the amazing site!

Yeah, our challenge is finally up now!!! A lot of bodyrockers waiting… :)

Hey, you’re going to California? Where? I’m in California… Los Angeles… If you’ll be here near Hollywood, I would suggest it’s good to have bodyrock on overlooking site like Griffith Observatory… here’s their site:
    http://www.griffithobservatory.org/

If you’ll be there to do burpees, I’ll join. Oh gosh, I’m SO excited just to think about it… :D
