BodyRocker Rose – Team USA (Oregon)

I know that you guys get a lot of mail but I still wanted to write and tell you my story and say thank you for all you guys do for so many people. As a kid growing up I always thought I was nonathletic because I was so bad at all the sports I tried. When I turned 15 and started going to the gym I realized that I am very athletic just bad at sports ( I have very bad depth perception). I began working out 5 days a week but got to the point where each gym trip would take 2 hours just to feel like I got a good workout in. As I graduated high school and began college my available time became less and less and my trips to the gym became less frequent. At that time I was a volunteer firefighter and my job duties there were getting harder and harder as I became more out of shape. When I graduated college in 2008 I immediately underwent a breast reduction surgery and was not allowed to lift anything heavier then a gallon of milk for the first 6 weeks and working out was something that was not an option for months after that. When I finally started going to the gym again my muscles were so atrophied that working out was very discouraging. I kept at it though and was not seeing any progress. I was never “overweight” but I felt so out of shape and flabby. Somehow I managed to make it through the physical agility requirement and landed my dream job as a firefighter/paramedic. In the back of my head I always felt that I should be in better shape to be able to perform my job duties to the best of my ability. I came across your site about a year ago and have been devoted ever since. I love how I can get an amazing workout in a short period of time and can even fit it in while at work. I am in better shape then I have ever been, even when I was doing 2 hour workouts at the gym. I have managed to loose 15lbs, although that was never my primary goal. What I’m really proud of is the change I’ve seen in my muscle and body tone. I am able to be so much more proficient at work and am able to provide better service to the community I am proud to serve. I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing an avenue for people to gain what I have gained from this site, and at no cost. Public service employees don’t have a history of being rich so no cost is very important for me : ) I wanted to tell you guys that not only have you done a service to me and my life but you have also done a service to an entire district of people who rely on me and my coworkers to be there and be fit and capable in their time of need. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,

Rose….bodyrocking from Oregon USA

I know exactly what you mean by just being bad at sports. I always thought i wasn’t active because I couldn’t find a sport I was good at. It turns out I love doing exercise but I like solitary sports better or just working out. i’m not extremely good at any sport but it doesn’t mean you have to be good to have some fun :)
    thanks for sharing!

Good job rose! Im from Oregon as well, I joined the gym in forest Grove and had been going since 4monthes ago around 4-5x a week and I can relate to you saying how you had to stay at the gym for 2hrs just to feel like you got a good workout.. Trust me I know. And then what results do you really get? Limited ones. I think going to the gym is a good thing for many people, and you can get really good results, however I think Bodyrock.tv is a more efficient and successful path to take, and that the results WILL show if you follow each workout 5x a week and stick to the healthy diet plan.
You look great by the way! Keep up the good work. This is my 1st week of actually participating with bodyrock.tv and Im sticking to it all summer and carrying that on out tell life:)
