Game On! 300 Squats Challenge

Freddy had to go to Canada for the next 2 days so we have to go back to our older workouts. I asked you guys on our Facebook page for some suggestions and based on your comments I picked 400 rep workout for Wednesday and 550 rep fat massacre workout for Thursday. Check out the Workout Schedule on the side bar. I will post my new score on our BodyRock.Tv Facebook page.

Hi BodyRockers,

So the house we are interested in is still in play, which basically means it is between us and one other person. Apparently the owner is going to decide who gets it tomorrow. This is one of those cases where it would be super cool if the owner was a devoted BodyRocker ;) So Freddy and I are hoping that fortune swings our way and we get to move into this new house… keep those fingers and toes crossed for us today. We should have some news for you guys tomorrow :)

In anycase, today’s challenge is super simple but really challenging. Watch the video below for the full explination of the challenge and to see how to do the exercise with proper form. If you guys want to shape up your legs, thighs and buns, plus target your core you will absolutely love this challenge.

I completed 300 squats in 10 minutes and 48 seconds – now it’s up to you to beat my time :) I have a special message for new BodyRockers in the video and all of you beginners who are just starting out so check that out.

Enjoy,

Zuzana & Freddy

Smiling Zuzi is much better, glad you got your tooth fixed, ježišmarja :)))
I have yesterdays workout today waiting for me, I will save this challenge for Saturday, cause I am gonna have a veeeery busy day on Saturday (it is not like I am HAVING A DATE or anything!!!) and I will have to do my workout in the early morning cause I wont be back home till Sunday evening. I love doing squats a LOT :) It is like one thing I really feel strong about :) (not like pushups, haha).
Good luck with the house, I will keep my fingers crossed the whole day :)

    Finished in 19:07

    Ugh my legs!
I did 100 left leg x 100 right leg step ups challenge yesterday and I was already pretty sore so finishing this challenge makes me feel really good right now!
…Even though I will probably not be able to walk normally tomorrow haha

  • Donna

You could of called this one “Game on Mole”…lol Sure hope someone is not pushing your buttons again…lol

  • http://twitter.com/IronFistGirl Tara Fox

    OH NAH AH !!

Im not even going to attempt this as i did the 300 squat challenge 2 days ago and im still stiff and struggling hahaha………………………….. so best of luck to you all who attempt it i think ill try something different IF I CAN FEEL MY LEGS hahaha.

Great minds think alike Zuz ;)

  • Pavlina

I’m sure you’ll get the house after so many positive vibes coming from us :)

  • Donna

Can you believe I still have Easter eggs and Easter bunnies in the house:( I had a craving for a medium sized bunny:( So instead of giving in I did this and all I want now is water:) My time was 11:01 min and I made sure I went all the way down:( so every single one of those 300 squats counted for me:)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Maria-Davleeva/100001702041662 Мария Давлеева

BTW, so nice to see you smiling again)))) As well as watch you working out barefooted))) I remember this challenge from the Seichelles that time I did 120 reps in 7 minutes & the rest 180 reps during the whole day. hope tomorrow I’ll be able to do all squats in a row)))

    • Donna

I missed this challenge back in Jan probably because I didn’t think I could do it:( They were on yet another holiday at Seychelles:) so now another one is crossed of my missed list since I started in December:) only 9 more catch ups remaining:)

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Natalia-Trofimova/704588888 Natalia Trofimova

Donna, i think that Seychelles challenge was even more challenging than this one coz it was with a sandbag ;)

        • Donna

Yes you are right Natalia:) I crossed it off my list for now but I might go back to it with my 10 kilo sandbag:) I am so much stronger than when I first started:) Knowing me I probably looked at that one and read the reps and thought I can’t do that and just left it out…lol I have become more committed to my BR workouts which I like:)

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/FitMindy?feature=mhum Mindy McT

Yesterday I did a grueling 600 rep workout. Sore but I still need to do the Run the World workout but if my legs can handle it than I will try this time challenge out too :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/indomavel Patricia Grade

Ok, Zuzie, after a weekend of african dancing, with jumps, low legs and high arms movements, soreness cave in and the rescue only came from your run the world workout yesterday! Believe it or not, that did the trick for me.

I’ll attempt this challenge today, close to dinner, but I’m thinking I’ll be so sore tomorrow that maybe oriental dance will be quite difficult to go trough…

Even so, my body is getting so used to having a dose of bodyrocking every single day, that when I don’t do your workouts, it simply doesn’t feel that good!

p.s. – best of luck for you and Freddy on this house hunting challenge. Hoping you get the house youwant. Keeping all fingers crossed (and it’s getting painful to keep them that way!)

    Xxxxx

  • Yashizzle

I’m going to do this tomorrow after my MCAT test! I dont want to be sore before the most important test that ill ever take. lol i’m just going to do some relaxing yoga and maybe some meditation to clear my mind. haha fingers and toes are still crossed for you guys! :)

After doing one of the older workouts last week with some SB Dead lifts…and the amazing after burn in my butt and thighs, I think ill modify this one….ill try 300 SB dead lifts on each leg….Wish me luck and I’ll let you know how it goes….if I can still walk!!

And my toes and fingers are crossed for you guys! I hope you get the house! Sending positive thoughts your way!!!!

    • Anonymous

Ok so 600 reps of one leg dead lifts with 30lbs SB is a little too much for me today lol. I managed 320 reps before I started to lose proper form, so then I did 200 reps of the ab burnout and 20 minutes of skipping, then went and lay down on a rock in a field….now my butt is sore and I look like a tomato!!!  But I feel happy and energized!!! I LOVE being a bodyrocker!!!!!!

  • Mary Lou

Good luck on the house! We’re all pulling for you!

16:56 of absolute torture, at the end anyway. 100% BodyRock form. So shaky, even stretching was hard!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=524971258 Courtney Riddles

Perfect timing! On the 30th I’m doing a crazy CrossFit workout that’s open to everyone when I fly down to visit my boyfriend. (This is what I do on vacation, ha.) A part of the workout is 300 squats. I was wondering if I’d be able to do that after all of the other stuff, so this will definitely be good practice!

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/FitMindy?feature=mhum Mindy McT

10 min 35 sec. What what!! Course I cannot go all the way down to the floor, but I can go just below the parallel :)

    • Dheana

      Wow! Nice work Mindy!!!

  • Amanda Haskin

Hi fellow Bodyrockers, Freddy, & Zuzana!  I have been so disconnected from the community lately…I started a new job which is very physical and I’ve had to cut my workouts back to 4-5 a week.  It really stinks, but as I was trying to maintain my usual 6-7 day a week workouts, I was getting so tired and actually wore myself out and got sick.  So I’ve decided to listen to my body and cut back some.  I haven’t even posted my scores in probably 2 weeks!  I just wanted to get involved again and remind everyone of the importance of following your body’s cues on when it’s time to take a break.  I hope everyone has a FABULOUS day!!!

  • Anonymous

Good luck on the house Z & F!!  I know what it’s like to get your hopes up on a house so FINGERS CROSSED!!  :) :) :)

Well this is a first for me, but I did 2 of your workouts this morning!  I did this 300 Squat Challenge AFTER doing the Take It Off WO.  Wow!  As usual, WOW!  :)  I’m sorry – I know this is weird, but I was sweating soooo  bad and I loved it!!  I guess it makes me feel like I am working out to the MAX!!  :)

    My time was 13:26.

Oh, also – I work in a building that has 7 floors and I work on the 6th floor.  I try to take the stairs at least once a day.  Well, this morning I must have gotten carried away, because when I opened the door to what I thought was my floor - turned out to be the 7th floor!!!  Hahaha  :)

Have an awesome day everyone!!  :)

  • Samanthina

I did it in 12:53 min.I’m not so proud from my time ,maybe i was slow because i emhasized on the proper form instead of the speed.

    • Dheana

Hey Samanthina, Don’t feel bad about your time – feel proud you did it – and will good form! I haven’t done this one yet myself but already know my time will be high because I am really working on my leg strength and hip flexibilty. Time shmime! Just think of how much faster you were than the millions of people sitting on their couches right now! :P Ya did good! :)

      • Anonymous

@Dheana I love your positivity! ! I know my time will also be high bc this time i would like to go all the way down.

On monday I went rowing for the first time and it was so much fun. Training for a competition in a few weeks. The other 3 in the boat were all guys, me the only girl and I was strong all
through the training. Afterwards my colleagues were very tired. I was just smiling and sending thank you’s to zuzi, freddy and all the bodyrockers.

I am proud of your time! That is a GREAT time!! =P

  • http://www.facebook.com/Sofia.B.LopezBilbao Sofia

300 squats…hmm…it’s simple but i have a feeling mt quads will burn like hell. haha can’t wait to try it :)
I feel like Nina, squats is the one thing i can do, not like push ups. Although this past week I’ve been doing all non modified pushups! I couldn’t even do one when I started back in March :)

    • Dheana

Congratulations on our progress Sofia – doesn’t it feel great to witness yourself getting stronger? Keep it up!

    • http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=VW_STEPH Stephanie

Congratts Sofia that is such wonderful and rewarding progress!! x

  • Kat:)

300 squats in 11:17 my butt/legs are killing me
    Thanks again Zuzana and Freddy

    • Kat:)

oh and yes proper form and all the way down :)

I just tried to view one of the older workouts on Youtube (Sexy Bubble Butt Tutorial) and it was flagged as inappropriate.  Seriously???

  • Isabelle G.

    Hehe… my time= 12:11.
It was amazingly challenging!  Oh, thighs and butt… it’s a love and hate relashionship I have with them!!!

  • AudraFit

    Hi Zuzana,

I finished this challenge 14 seconds behind you for a time of 11:02 and I’m happy my legs can still keep up after this mornings “Run The World Workout” and a 30 min HIIT treadmill run. Phew! I’m spent! And to think I still have yard work to do LOL! I really hope you get the house Zuzana. I would love to bump into you this summer if we take a trip down to LA and do some burpees with ya =D

  • http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=VW_STEPH Stephanie

Wow! This was a workout in itself! And much harder than ya think hah! I completed 300 in 13:49. Lowest squats I ever did do! Very very fun – thank yoooouu!!

Good to see that smile again, and every now and again during today i have crossed my fingers and toes and arms and legs… in hope for the house you guys would like to rent. ;) x

  • Dheana

This was a PERFECT challenge for me because deep squats are one of the moves I really want to improve. I finished the challenge in 11:47 and I’m SOOO proud of my efforts because I had my eye on the mirror the entire time and each rep I went as low as I could and broke parallel – and gave the glutes the prescribed ‘squeeze’ at the top of each rep. Somewhere in the high 100s I didn’t know if I would make it through all 300. But I did and am going to ride the happy wave as long as I can today! :-P *high fiving myself*! :)

  • Lissamarie0204

    Killer!! 15:22.

  • Anonymous

it took me about 2 days of practicing

    • http://www.facebook.com/ildiko.mazar Ildikó Sünci Mázár

WOW!! 2 days for this monster? I take my hat off. How about the ninja jumps and pull ups?

My progress – in reverse order – was about 1.5 month for my first proper pull up from a dead hang, a few days more until I mastered the ninja jump (as Zuzana always says, it’s more of a psychological barrier you have to overcome, not so much the physical), and the 1 leg squats… after 4 months I’m still struggling with my left leg (the right one has been working since early May).

Keep practicing Sandra, the more time it takes to defeat this beast the happier and more proud you’ll be to have done so.

      • Anonymous

I’m discouraged by the one legger… I cant even get to parallel level after 2 months!

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mily-Miguel/592457099 Mily Miguel

        Ouuuu :(

I kind of never practice the ninja jumps… I am very scare of those, everytime I tried, just… just nothing happens and I am scared to practice because What If nothing happens again?
I hope you know a bit what I mean.

The one leg squats, thats another story, I am practicing, sitting on a chair, with the chair next to me, without chair and really trying hard, and I can’t…. so I stopped practicing…I just try the hardest when I see we have to do the exercise in a workout.

I know it sounds like I am giving up… it just looks so pretty those exercises.
Im going to try again, Im going to give myself some time to keep on trying.

    • Anonymous

      what? 2 days only ? oh yeah, but you’re Superwoman :D .

  • Anonymous

Welcome and congratulations for such a great time – not bad at all for a newbie ;)

  • Anonymous

that’s so true :) every second counts

  • Anonymous

Amazing! I am so glad that you guys are doing these challenges and not giving up – you are true bodyrockers!

  • Anonymous

You can come back to this challenge next week and try to complete the entire 300 reps – I am glad you tried.

  • Anonymous

    thanks for posting your time!

  • Anonymous

    good!

  • Anonymous

it’s a really good time and it’s normal to take short breaks. Thanks for sharing with us.

  • http://www.facebook.com/ildiko.mazar Ildikó Sünci Mázár

Hm…, I thought I was quite good at squats, but I really did suffer with this challenge, I had to stop and shake my thighs after every 30 or so squats in the second half of the torture. My time was 11:19

  • Anonymous

good time – Im glad you enjoyed it

  • Anonymous

It’s a great score and you know what? We all compete in a friendly way. Our challenges suppose to be fun and not stressful for us. If you post your scores you will encourage others who have the same thoughts as you (I am sure there is a lot of them) to post their scores and participate. There is no reason to feel ashamed about your scores. Even the people that are very athletic have some bad days when the energy is low.

  • http://twitter.com/GoustiFruit GoustiFruit

    11’12.
My shower is upstairs, it was somewhat hard to go there… but the hardest part was to go downstairs after the shower, my legs were like marshmallow !

  • Patriciagrade

Ok, it took me 15m to complete all 300 reps with perfect form!

I guess my legs are still sore from the weekend, but what the hell, am I or aren’t I a bodyrocker?

Glad to see Zuzana posting, I feel more accompanied…

  • tee

OK this took me longer than last time I did it in january! last time 18min 5 sec this time 18 min 23 sec!  I thought I was going to shave all this time off!  My form was so much better, as my 46 year old knees don’t like to go that low! the first 100 I got below parallel, and managed to keep at least parallel after that!

My knees are something that I have noticed major improvement in since I started.  I do a physical job and was noticing that it was getting harder to get up from the floor even though I have always done lots of exercise my whole life.  I saw Zuz doing ninja jumps and one leg squats and its still in my dreams to be able to do them, but I’m so much closer and my knees are so much stronger!  so thank you Zuzana (and Freddie)

  • Dheana

I’m proud of you too! But I want you to take that “very shameful” comment back! It would be shameful if you sat on the couch with a bag of chips and a pint of hagen daz, but you didn’t, did you? No, you faced a challenge and you conquered it! Do you know how many people would have given up? Really! You PERSONIFY  what it means to be a BodyRocker and you deserve to feel DAMN proud of yourself too! Good work my friend !!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1746562272 Cynthia Hannah

This was a great challenge for me today , my IT band was feeling sore and my low back stiff -as strange as it may sound to some the deep squats made me feel a whole lot better.
My score for this challenge of 300 beautifully formed squats is 9:15.
Keeping my fingers crossed on the house!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001544872752 Anna Carolina F

    18:29 min

Of cause I will rock it with less minutes next time . I did my best after recovery of 3 weeks illness. I had my first experience with overtraining :/.

  • Jerri

    HAHAHA!

Ok, So I saw the “300 squat Challenge” and thought eh! no big deal… That is my strength. Boy was I wrong! I have never done that many squats at once.  It was quite the challenge and I really enjoyed it.  Sadly I must admit that it took me 30 minutes to do(mind you I kept getting distracted by the Soca track I was playing).  LOVE to dance :)  My legs keep failing me as I walk around the house, I am going to be in serious pain tomorrow.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=644981165 Heather Schultz

I have been off bodyrocking lately since I have horrible shin splints. I want to work out, but I am not sure which exercises will aggravate my shin. It is so painful that walking up and down stairs hurts! I can push through my workouts, but I have a race in July and I’d like to be able to actually RUN it. lol So I am trying to do the proper thing and rest, but I HATE NOT DOING BODY ROCK! HELP! What do I do? I’ve been doing yoga and no jumping or anything, mainly leg lifts/knee raises. core work. HELP! I need advice! I want to do the 300 squat challenge, I should be ok right? Thanks!

  • KIMBERLAKE93

    Welcome Krysta!!!
    Amazing time, too!  Wowza’s!!
Keep up the amazing work and all the best on your new journey!  :)

  • KIMBERLAKE93

I use to think the same thing Ynieves!!!  I totally hear ya on that!  However, I found it was a great way to complete my workout by posting it so I can always go back and try to improve.  I also found (as a newbie) my results were NOT embarrassing and I was actually doing well.  You’d surprise yourself and almost push yourself more if you KNOW you have to write them down when you’re finished.  Good Luck to you and post more results!!  We’re all proud of you!  :)

    • Anonymous

OMG! kimberlake, my first bodyrocker commentator! lol!!!!
I always read everyone else’s comments… NOW I feel like part of this community, thanx for the encouragement. Will take down the times and reps from now on….I needed the little verbal push ; )

      • KIMBERLAKE93

        Ynieves,
Well you SHOULD feel like part of this community because you ARE… it’s for EVERYONE…thanks to Zuz and Freddy!  I’m happy to know I motivated you to write down your times/reps from now on….how awesome!!  Good for you and keep it up!  You will be soooo rewarded with how amazing you feel after these workouts!  And remember, you’re not alone….. CHEERS!  :)

  • AmBoaksy

O boy…my buns are not gonna be pleased w me tomorrow.  It took me a while, but I managed to do the 300 squats in 19 mins 3 secs today.  Then I threw in 6 mins of side crunches and ab pulses to top it off.

  • ZoeRocker

I just read your facebook page but I don’t have facebook so I thought I would answer you here. I really enjoy the “550 rep Fat Massacre” workout. When I feel like just doing a bodyweight workout, I tend to resort back to that one. For a shorter one, I would probably do the “Hot ToTrot” workout which is really hard but worth it. I bet you could finish in 15 mins if you really pushed!

    • http://twitter.com/GoustiFruit GoustiFruit

I like the 550 Re Fat massacre too ! Did it 12 times since the beginning of this year: last time was 9 days ago so if there is no new workout today, I may end up doing it once more :-)

  • Anonymous

ahhh 10:51 !  I still cant walk without my legs shaking lol.

I also did an 18 minute workout 36 rounds of 10/20 secs

    1. side jump lunges with one leg up 1 foot on a block, then jump to switch
    2. crow pushup (rock into crow pose and do a small pushup)
    3. side jumps onto the 1ft block and over the other side
    4. rows w a cinder block (LOL, i improvised outside w/ no equipment)
    5. hops on block and down
    6. pike jumps
    7. jump onto block, and backwards up and off
    8. weighted sit up
    9. walk unders w/ weight

repeated these 4 times.. i think that works on the time lol
and i said blocks but i had 3 big cuts of tree trunk standing up in a row about 1.5 ft. apart
    great workout
those jumps decimated my legs after the 300 squats

  • Anonymous

Just finished this and took me longer thatn I expected, then again it turned out to be much more challenging than I expected as well. By 100 Brutus was starting to take over, but I kicked him to the curb and finished in 16.10. Thank you as always.

  • http://twitter.com/karmalaluna Arika

I’m not flexible enough to go down that far so I stopped when my thighs were parallel to the floor… 300 squats in 10 minutes and 54 seconds. Honestly I can do unweighted squats in my sleep. I’m going to do another workout!
Nice to see you smiling again Zuzana!

    • Anonymous

I also had to stop at thighs parallel to the floor…. I did “Summer ab workout” before the challenge. It was a good combination.

  • Anonymous

I’m happy too, although I “cheated” because I can’t go below parallel level. I could go all the way down 9 times…so it was either quit or do the 300 as good as my body allowed it…I’m a proud cheater?

  • Anonymous

    Finished all 300 reps. in 11:53 :)
Followed by 30 min. of high knees
+20 side crunches +12 monkey pushups
    looking forward to tomorrows workout!

  • http://www.facebook.com/Sofia.B.LopezBilbao Sofia

oh I feel so bad it took me like double the time as it did everyone else. Anyways, it was 20 min on the dot :). My buns were a bit sore from yesterday’s workout, but I managed to do all the squats all the way down

    • http://twitter.com/GoustiFruit GoustiFruit

Yes, but look at things in another way: you worked your best for twice the time that others did ! That requires some will !

  • Aida bodyrocker! ♥

14´04…! When I was at the 100 squat I was going to quit…so happy I DID NOT HEAR BRUTUS! I know tomorrow Im gonna feel the pain! lol

  • Aida bodyrocker! ♥

What exercises are good for streching legs? we all need some…! haha

  • Sarihndipity83

Hahahahahaaa, crutches. I love it. Good work!

Hey we did the same time :)

  • Migoshman

yo pyop from France, everybodyrockers :)

Yesterday, I went to Roland Garros (one of the greatest tennis tournament, clay courts ^^) and well, surely inspired by some east countries female athlets here, and even if the day was veryyy long and tiring, I tried the 300 squats workout when I get up : I did it in 9.29 sec, surprising myself ^^
I did the proper form, and I think the key is in focalizing on our abs : focus ont the abs and you will think less about the harshness in your legs.
Another way to deal with it is the counting : at first, I counted two times from 0 to 50 : it was the first 100 !
Then, another time from 0 to 50, then 0-20 two times, then 0-10 : it was the first 200 !
Now, the last part, and the use of the fingers of my right hand to count the first 50, ten by ten ; then it was very hard, my legs begged me to stop here. I said NO !
Then I did 25 more, and then I achieved the last 25, counting five by five.
Each time I arrived at ten or five, I forced myself to begin another round of ten or five.

And like said GoutisFruit, when the 300 are done, there is one more step : reaching the shower :D

Well, Zuzana, you are so radiant, you are an inspiration for all of us who can tend to be lazy ^^ because you give us the will and the means to be proud of our body. Infinite thanks for that : )
(I hope my english is not too bad ^^)

    Zuzana, people!!!

I need help! I can’t do squats, I was watching proper form in the video and I realized “wait Mily, this is not how you are doing your squats” So I told my boyfriend and he can do it perfect, but I can’t!!
I have most of my weight in my heels but my back goes forward, I can’t put my back straight because I feel I am going all the way back, and actually it happens, If I am trying to put my back straight, my heels don’t support my weight and I fall on my butt :(

I don’t know how I manage before because I remember we did the 300 squats challenge with sandbag and I did it in 15 minutes and my butt and legs hurt for a week!!! (never my back)

It feels a little bit frustrating to know that I have to practice such a basic exercise.
    I’m sad.

    • Lisa

Hi Mily, make sure you squeeze your abs tight, that will help you not fall over on your butt! Keep your arms out in front of you, too. Good luck!

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mily-Miguel/592457099 Mily Miguel

        Thanks Lisa,

I am trying, I notice that my shins are never vertical (like in the video) and when I tried, thats when I fall on my butt….  :/

        • tee

          hi mily,

when you squat down your back does go forward.  You just need to try and keep it straight not rounded(that’s your abs) and make sure your knees do not go in front of your toes.  Keeping your hands in front helps balance your weight.  If you can’t keep your knees even with your toes (and not out in front) you should not go down that far.  I think it means that you’re not quite flexible enough, calves I think.

My ex used to have to put a block under his heels when he did squats as his knees would go in front and when he tried to keep them behind his heels would go up.  he was one of those people who when they don’t have shoes on they walk on their tiptoes. Do you wear high heels a lot?

You could try practicing squats in a doorway or in front of a pole.  you grab the pole or the doorframe and use it to balance yourself, keep your feet level with the pole or the doorframe and as you go down you make sure that your knees are not going past the frame.    Someone posted a link to a video on how to do one leg squats, that works for regular squats as well.  I think the link was under Zuz’s video on one leg squats under all exercises.

It’s kind of funny as I thought all girls were just born knowing how to do this exercise as we all know how to pee in the bushes don’t we?  You wouldn’t fall over then would you! lol

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mily-Miguel/592457099 Mily Miguel

Thanks Lisa and Tee for replying.

tee your comment made me laugh! It actually makes sense haha.
And no my feet are soooo soft and tender haha I almost never wear high heels, although I love them.

I did this challenge today, I went as down as my shins allowed me, that means, as down as they were vertical, that means lower than a half squat and almost all the way down.
I notice that if I put my arms in the front is harder to go all the way down, (I would like to make clear that the problem is not going all the way down, the problem is that my shins are not vertical when I am all the way down and that is why I suppose is not the proper form) but when I do prisoners squat is way easier, with the same problem… but easier :)

Thanks for the advice girls and I will take it into account, also will look for the link you suggest.

            Anyway my time was 15:58 …. :/

            Have a great weekend.

I am here to share the score of Michel, my partner.

He did it in 13’02 wow! now I have to beat him hehehe.
He is going to try to teach me how to do proper squats.

Let me tell you something about him, he is tall and thin, he is working on being fit.
He has muscles, the ones you get by going to the gym and do the machines.
He can eat a lot of food and not a single change in the figure (but now he is conscious about the importance of not processed food)
He started bodyrocking 2 weeks ago, resting between days of course, he founds the workouts amazing but heavy.
I eat better than him but now he is starting to develop a six pack!!!!!! I am so jealous :P

  • Leah Siltberg

I did this in 9:38!  I was really careful about my depth and squeezing my glutes, so I’m pretty proud.  And my little bum looks so cute these days!  Thanks for all you do.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706388249 Tori Larson Bradford

I did this yesterday, but for some reason couldn’t type my score.  I did this in 14:08.  I think I could have done it faster, but I had a 3 year old throwing a stuffed animal at me.  Kind of distracting.  ;)  I’m still proud of my time.  Now I need to get up the nerve to workout today on my very sore legs.

  • http://kenjibankhead.posterous.com/ ashtromanius

I have been without internet for about a month as we have moved and been on vacation etc. so this is my first post in a long time. I’ve been keeping up with the workouts via my Blackberry but have been out of the loop because I haven’t been able to read all your posts. It’s good to be “back”!

I did this challenge today… I didn’t time myself because I knew I’d get bored and take breaks and have to use the bathroom etc. But I know I did it under 30 mins. My baby belly is getting in the way of many things… ha!

Hey Beck. I know how you feel:) I am actually surprised that I can walk after this week:)I have had a full on BR workout week and I really don’t know how my body is still going:) Just to give you an idea this is what I have done this week:)

      Sunday Ready to sweat workout
Monday rest day Winsor pilates 22 min body slimming workout
      Tuesday 4 min pre-breakfast jump lunges/mountain climbers/Break free workout
Wednesday Run the world workout/game on 300 squats (without stopping once)
      Thursday Beach workout
Friday I have wow booty workout planned but my booty doesn’t agree with me…lol
I think I will save those 400 and 550 reps workouts Zuzana gave us for the weekend if possible or nest week:)

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Natalia-Trofimova/704588888 Natalia Trofimova

Donna, did you do 300 squats without stopping?? wow, i’m amazed! btw, i also combined Run the World WO and this 300 challenge today :)

        • Donna

Hi Natalia, thank-you for noticing and validating my 300 squats with no stopping:) I thought that was the challenge to go as fast as we could:) Sometimes I can become a machine during a workout or challenge and just get it done:) We both worked our butts really good that day…lol

  • http://www.facebook.com/larrle Larr Caletka Le

Well I got through all 300, I couldn’t believe it!  And I was still able to walk, however I have a bum knee right now and had to modify to a 90 degree squat (it was as low as I could go without the knee screaming in pain!)  Still I did all 300 and broke a sweat!

    I LOVE BodyRock!!!!

  • Lila ♥

Today wasn’t a good day at all :(:(

It has been a long time since I’ve had a panic attack (just very mild ones, hardly noticable) I have learned  to have some control and most of the time I avoid what triggers them, but today was one of the worst ever, quite severe. Now I’m all fatigued and muscle sore because of it and can’t work out :( I  have to wait to recover; at least 2 or 3 days. Does anybody suffer from panic attacks and what do you do to stop them as soon as you feel one coming or at least minimize the symptoms?

Thanks guys, I will be saving these workouts for when I feel good to workout again =)
    Take care

    • KIMBERLAKE93

Sorry to hear, Lila!  Get better and rest up!  Don’t push yourself too soon.  I don’t suffer from panic attacks but I know many people who do.  Wishing you the best for a speedy recovery!  :)

    Zuzana,what about the house???did you get it???did you??? :) :) :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Rosalie-Salemink/618241291 Rosalie Salemink

I made it in 7:48, apparently it’s my day today! Probably due to the truckload of nuts I ate before, *shame*
I have the same addiction as you Zuzana, only I have it with ALL nuts instead of just cashews! Oh well, I made a deal I could have a small packet once a week, and today was the once a week. And I can count on myself not to cheat, my mom gets them for me and she’ll only get them once a week, which was our deal!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Natalia-Trofimova/704588888 Natalia Trofimova

Rosalie, impressing time! how did you manage it? :) i believe you’re the definite winner of this game :)

i have exactly the same nut craving as you do.. but still haven’t figured out the means to curb it :) having only my packet once a week sounds so sad, i’d prefer having nuts everyday but in moderate quantities :)

  • http://www.makavelina.webnode.cz Nina_CZ

I got a terrible sunburn yesteday while working outside :( I was not expecting to work outside in the middle of the day so I forgot my sunscreen (sorry Zuzi, I knew I promised…) so now my whole arms and chest is TOMATO RED :((( So I am not able to do most exercises, it really hurts, so I did this challenge today instead of tomorrow morning. My time for today is 12:30, very proper form :) Need to find something else to do tomorrow morning :))) I will probably go for Push Back challenge: http://www.bodyrock.tv/2011/01/22/push-back-exercise-challenge/ or Swing it challenge: http://www.bodyrock.tv/2010/12/17/exercise-challenge-swing-it-for-tight-buns/ cause I really need something quick and exercise I can perform standing. So 550 Massacre will happen on Sunday :)

      Hi Nina,

There is this stuff called sunblock! :-)

      –Chris

      • http://www.makavelina.webnode.cz Nina_CZ

You know  I always use SPF at least 30 (mostly 50), when I go outside, but I work 99% of the time at the office so I usually don’t get any sun contact. That day it was really unexpected, being outside between midday and 1pm and I really didn’t think about that :( From now on my SPF50 will be in my backpack every single day :D

        • Anonymous

          Hi Nina,

It’s okay…well it’s not… you’re in pain.  We all have times we get burned in the literal sense.  A few years back I walked up to the “Big Ear” Radio Observatory on campus at Stanford University and the SPF 30 I used was maybe to old or the sweat washed it off.  I had a really bad sunburn and it hurt pretty bad. I use Aloe Vera that time and it helped.

          –Chris

    • Anonymous

well Nina, I have one old school recipe for that…you just put plain yogurt on sun burns (while lying down,of course), and that will help…I know it sound funny but it works…you have to be able to move your arms without pain on your date????

      good luck

  • Anonymous

did it in 16m36s. totally brutal and i’m super sore today

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Natalia-Trofimova/704588888 Natalia Trofimova

yes! i’ve beat Zuzana by 2 sec :D my time is 10:46 though i was aiming at 10 min sharp, lol

the 550 WO planned for tomorrow might be delayed because of veeery probable soreness but it also might be that i’ll still push through it ;)

    • Donna

Great work on your time Natalia!!!  I took the whole day off yesterday just so my butt and leg muscles could recover:) Today I will be doing Wow booty workout which I should of done yesterday but never mind at least I am rested for the 400 reps and 550 reps on Sunday and Monday:)

I believe Zuzi and Freddy should forget about us for a couple of days and spend some quality time together organizing their house:) Not all of us have gotten around to these high rep workouts and when we finally get them done there a plenty more to choose from in their video library:) As much as I LOVE a new workout I want them to always put their time together before us:)

      Love you guys <3

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Natalia-Trofimova/704588888 Natalia Trofimova

i agree with you, Donna, that the guys as entitled to have their quality private life as any of us!

i pushed through the 550 rep with sore quads (butt didn’t hurt almost at all – a good sign )) but 400 rep is still kinda a dream for me not because it’s about horrible burpees (which i actually love and hate at the same time, lol) but because i’m sure it’s gonna take sooo long to complete the whole rutine and i just have to really find time for that..

i am also reviewing some older workouts, i missed the whole two years of them coz i started bodyrocking only in Jan 2011 :) today i did Hottie Body WO but it didn’t make me sweat as much as Zuzana in the video though i did it properly… well, i’m gonna try Hot To Trot WO (i saw, Donna, you have completed it recently so i decided to pick it up as well ;) soon and that one will mostly likely make me soak :))

        • Donna

Hi Natalia, You probably haven’t seen my post yet in the 600 rep comments:( I hurt my ankle Saturday night leaping into bed after going to the bathroom in the middle of the night with no light on:)  Pure stupidity on my part…lol
I am happy I can still say I have never broken or sprained anything:):) I just got back from the doctors and it was all good news:) No break or sprain:) Just internal bruising because I iced my ankle very well every 15 min all night I don’t have severe external bruising thank God:)

I have had two days of with no workouts and the Dr said one week no exercise. She let me count today and yesterday so I only have 5 days left fingers crossed:) I have to be pain free before I restart again:)

Today on the way to the doctors everything kept on going wrong:( The car park that was close to the medical centre was closed with chains all around so there was no way to sneak in, then after parking what felt like a million miles away and walking in the pissing down rain the door to the shops was closed:( All I could do was laugh from the feeling of pure frustration:) After walking all the way around again in the rain with no umbrella I began to limp from the throbbing pain in my ankle:( So much for resting it this morning:( But when I finally got there I discovered I had left my mobile phone in the car and there was now way I was walking back to get it…lol

The receptionist was a lovely lady and I was seen very quickly because they sent me to pathology yesterday to be checked by a doctor first instead of X-raying my ankle first because the X-ray department was closing early being a Sunday:( I am so glad it is all over with:) I am staying home all day today and will never run and leap on anything again…lol

Now about the workouts I did half of the New 400 rep workout back in Feb and on the 28th of May:) My time has improved greatly but I couldn’t finish all 4 rounds:( I did the first round in 17:01 min and the second round in 16:43:) Maybe you should just do two rounds like me if you don’t have the time to do all four:) I didn’t have the stamina when I done this one because I had also done the wow booty workout:)

You started a little after me:) I started on the 29th of December 2010:) I haven’t done the hot to trot workout yet:( I have gone back and done beach workout, Break free workout, wow booty workout, Ready to sweat workout, Red hot girl workout, mash up grand theft workout, hot curves exercise challenge x2 and 400 reps are the ones I missed but have caught up on:)

I still have Get up step up, Sandbag sit ups, Hit your butt, backward lunge kick ups, sumo squat step up, touch it, push back, 550 rep fat massacre and 600 reps to go to be completely up to date from when I first started:)

I am hoping Zuzi and Freddy take sometime off so I can heal and not have to many new ones to catch up on these next five days:)

  • http://www.makavelina.webnode.cz Nina_CZ

You ARE a wonderwoman now, Roosa-Maria! :))) You can do anything :)

  • Cindy

I did it in 9 minutes 40 sec. and I ended up with 27 minutes treadmill running. My body was on fire after I left the gym and even I took a cold shower and my body continues sweating. Maybe, it was the combination of these two workouts. Thanks!

  • lUCy

who think it? squat look so inoffensive X(
    my time was 12.33mnts
I feel like I never can do it, oh my legs!!
I do it after 550rep fat massacre X/ oh God!!! mercy!

  • Brittanyverner

took about ten minutes total but I did it during every comercial for a new spanish soap opera I started watching….thighs and butt still kill….

I also did 4 minutes of plank and ten minutes of arm exercises….feeling great!!!!

Wow, my leg just gave out while I was walking to the water machine! Great challenge today! I did my 300 in 10:12!

I’m trying to locate the 400 rep workout, it seems to have disappeared. Any ideas?

    • tee

      hi lisa
put quotation marks around it when you type it in the search bar. “new 400 rep workout”

      • Lisa

Thanks! I’ll give that a try…although the thought of the 400 burpees is quite daunting!

I did this yesterday and finished in 14:02. I broke it up into 15 sets of 20 reps. Now my lower back and buns are feeling it today. Might take today’s a day off and tackle the burpee challenge tomorrow!

  • Lisa

I am still sore from this challenge, I did it on Saturday and today is Tuesday! Going down stairs is still hurtin’!! (Hurtin’ good though!(

  • Anonymous

So last week I did this challenge in15.05 but only went half way.

Although I was proud, I could hear Zuzana saying:
“focus on proper form..otherwise its cheating,…if you’re not going all the way down in the squat…….it doesn’t count!”
So today, after I completed my first workout without modifications (Amazing Ab workout) I re-read Zuz and Freddy’s message about  “pushing my efforts into overdrive…making the biggest splash by being just a drop in the bucket” and decided to make it count!

All the way proper form 300 squats: 19 minutes and 33 seconds!!!!!!

Thank you Zuzana for being my teacher!
Sometimes it really is a mental barrier and self doubt that holds us back from performing to the best of our ability.
     I refuse to cheat! lol!!!

  • Danielle

for some reason this challenge made my feet cramp up after a while! it was tougher than i expected- I got about 10 min and 50 seconds. I sort of lost count so i might have done like 10 extra but whatever, I finished! does anyone else have trouble keeping count when it’s a high number of reps?!

I haven’t been able to keep up with workouts this week b/c I strained an abdominal muscle climbing on monday.  I hate not being able to workout, it’s the worst feeling….when you feel fine otherwise, but your body won’t let you.  Having a strained abdominal muscle really limits your workout options, cuz you use your core for everything, sheesh!

Anyways,  I managed to do this workout today b/c it wasn’t too hard on my abdomen, and completed it in 7:41.  I think I did it so fast b/c I had so much energy from not working out the past few days.

Hopefully I’ll be back to normal within the week.  Until then, I’ll be resting as much as I can handle

    • Donna

I hear you Bethany, I burst a blood vessel yesterday in my left leg just above my knee doing dead man’s burpee’s challenge and I’m here climbing the walls also. I have to rest for 5 days at least:(

Let your body heal and you will come back stronger than ever. Don’t try and come back to soon because you can do more damage and have to wait even longer for a workout…Just looking out for ya:)

      • Anonymous

Thanks for the support, Donna!  I somehow managed to complete the dead man’s burpee challenge today, and my abdomen feels a lot better today, still not healed completely though.

Woah, burst blood vessel??!! That sounds awful, I hope you heal up soon!

That’s awesome that you’re a climber also!  That’s why I first started bodyrockin, to become a stronger climber.  And let me say, I am much stronger climbing now!

Heal up soon, and I’ll try and do the same!

        • Donna

Your welcome Bethany:) Good to hear that your abdomen is nearly on the mend:) I’m on my second day with no workout and my body feels heaps better. I think by day 5 I will be more than ready to rock it again.

I wish I was a climber:) I meant climbing the walls with sheer frustration knowing that I couldn’t workout for at least 5 days…

  • Dakkotah

    Hi Stefy!!!
What a coincidence! Just 4 weeks ago that I’ve done a sprained my left ankle (the second in 5 months exactly in the same place) … and just   with the speed rope! ! !,  at my best moment …. with training and diet. Yesterday was my first workout after almost 1 month, and I still I can not do any jumping the injured ankle. Stefy Instead, I have eaten this month even better than before, very, very healthy (my weakness is bread!).  Is the first in my all life after an injury (about a month ago with zero workouts)  I’m better than the day I became a sprain ….  DON’T GIVE UP!!!!  Re-start all again (healthy food, Zuzana workouts…. Step by Step, you have to think in ALL workouts you have done!!! All that wasted sweat !!  Good luck ;)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Andrea-Done/643197923 Andrea Done

I came back to look at this challenge because I’ve been having trouble doing squats properly. My sister and husband keep telling me that I’m not keeping my back straight, and although they keep trying to help me and trying to teach me, I still can’t do it!!! It’s rather frustrating. Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks. :)

I revisited this one today as it was way too hot in my house to be jumping around lol. My old time on May 25th was 15:36 doing cheat squats as I couldn’t even get parallel with the floor :( however this time around I did all proper squats and did it in 14:57! I am so proud of myself!! Yay me! :D

Just did this one again. May 28/11 score: 10:12…today Jan. 8/12: 8:07. I beat my old score by 2 min and 5 seconds!! My legs are shaking and I am a sweaty, but happy mess! Definitely need some music that is intense with a good beat!

The first time I did this in July it took me 13 Mins  flat.  The second time in November, after months of cross-fit, I did it in 9:46!  Whoo Hoo!  Can’t wait to do it a third time to beat my PR.

I’ve been exercising regularly for the past three years but only started Bodyrocking about a week ago. This was the second challenge I did and whoa man my legs have been on fire for the past two days!
I love the intensity and that I can set my own pace.
    On to the next workout!

HI! I just started bodyrocking this week and I did my first exercise challenge. I did the 300 squat challenge and I completed it in 12 minutes 10 Seconds! I have been faithfully going to the gym everyday and I focus alot on my legs so I think that had alot to do with the time I got.

I did this challenge today again!  last time was may 25/11 took me 18 min 23 sec with no weight and only the first 100 were full.  today I used 27lb in my “sandbag”  for the first 100 then reduced to 17lb for the next 200. it took me 16 min 7 sec.
