Healthy Pumpkin Bread

Hi Zuzana and Freddie,

I have been following (addicted) to you guys since October of 2010. You inspire me every day to live a all around healthy life! I have been into fitness and exercise for years, but I’ve never had so much fun doing it! Every time I feel tired or not like working out, I think to myself…15 minutes…I can do at least 15 minutes! Then I get going and always do about an hour:)! I train six days a week, I jump rope for cardio five days a week, and do at least one of your workouts 5 days a week ( I usually add a few rounds of other stuff after a workout )

I know how much time and energy you guys devote to your passion, and appreciate it with all my heart! I tell everybody about your site! When are we gonna see some cute tank tops with a heart and Bodyrock.tv on them???? Maybe some pants with Bodyrock on the

butt :-D

I’ve sent you some recipe’s before, but I’ll keep trying:))))))))))

This is my MOST FAVORITE ONE!

Basically what I did was take traditional pumpkin pie recipe, removed the dried milk, and add the egg white protein powder instead. VERY low calorie and carb’s, with high protein and fiber!

Healthy Pumpking Bread:

2 (15 ounce) can 100% Pure Pumpkin

3-4 tbsp liquid stevia

2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp ground ginger

1/2 tsp ground cloves

4 whole eggs

6 scoops Jay Robb Egg White Protein Powder (unflavored or vanilla)

Put all the wet ingredients in a bowl and blend with a mixer, then add the dry ingredients and blend till well mixed. Bake at 325, in an lightly oiled pan for about 23-26 min. Depending on your oven, gas or electric. The traditional pumpkin pie recipe calls for dried milk, but the egg protein powder I believe makes it work without it. You can adjust the sweetness with the stevia or agave syrup?? **Stevia takes a lot more when cooked and a very small amount when added to cold stuff, it’s a little temperamental;-)

A 2 ounce serving comes out to 60 calories / 4 g carbs / 1 g fiber / 9 g protein / almost 1 g fat = AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had a fun picture by the beach like a lot of other bodyrockers, but these days all I do is take pic’s of my daughter! We go to the beach this week in Cali, I’m gonna have her take a pic of me doing burpies in Huntington B. She’s only three, but she can work a phone better than most adults! :)))))

Thank you guys for exciting my life!

  • Czerskii

wow thanks for sharing this recipe girl.  I didn’t know that “egg white protein powder” existed…the only protein powder i have been using is hemp seed protein powder.  the whey protein powder always makes my stomach in pain.  I am so interested in this recipe and can’t wait to try it.  I’ll probably eat it all the time, seeing as I stay away from bread, and don’t like the way i feel after i eat bread anyways.  Thanks so much and take care….

  • Wendy82

I really like the idea about the pants with bodyrock on the bum. But how about “bodyrocker”. and yes some cute tanks is a great idea! because who bodyrocks with a tshirt! lol

    Hi Michelle,

Okay.  I don’t have favorites normally…but I think I’m in love with a younger woman! :-)  You are incredably hot and cook with pumpkin!

I agree about tanks tops!  I know I beat a dead horse here, but Zuzana and Freddy you really really need a clothing line!  Even if it’s just tanks right now!

I did the recipe with sweet potato or yams (not pumpkin in the country I’m living) and added an extra chopped walnuts and pinenuts on top and was DE-LI-CIOUS!!!!! thanx for sharing. Mixing some good fat with yams makes your body process all the good benefits of betacaroten and vitamin A contained in yams.

I do support the idea of bodyrocking clothes with smart messages printed on it and more if it is benefitial for you Zuzana and Freddy who are making all of this for free… You deserve everything… thanks again for creating this beautiful comunity.. my life has changed. I’M A BODYROCKER!! I DON’T GIVE UP!! I’M NOT A CUCUMBER!! (LOL) I BELONG TO THIS COMMUNITY!!

Thanks for the killer recipe!  I’m going to show it to my husband because he loves pumpkin pie, so I’m sure he’d fall for pumpkin bread.  (He is the chef in the family)
    Love the photo!!!

  • Mary Lou

Ooooh! Definitely going to give this a go! Yum! Let’s see I have his regular protein powder (in chocolate, the vanilla is WAY TOO SWEET for me) and packet stevia, how to make this work…

  • AudraG

  • michelle

hey michelle you think I could use whey protein instead of egg?

  • michelle

just made the pumpkin bread used vanilla flavored egg protein no stevia… don’t think my kids would eat it but I will……

  • michelle

just ate my last piece… so yummy and not guilt thanks michelle

  • ۞ BodyRocker ♥ Beth ۞

I also can’t have any dairy !!! (so many problems w/ it…) & egg whites are really the only option I have…
I don’t do well on too much meat so the eggs are much lighter & a great substitue for the dairy products :)

Wish I can find somewhere Egg white protein powder !!! sounds terrific !!!  is it becomes liquid or something when mixed w/ water? what worth of eggs is the sup? (how many eggs can it replace?)
is it expensive stuff worth buying? (or I would just stick to my egg whites)

Thanks so much & have a great Bodyrocking day !!!

    love,

    BR Beth

  • Armriley

YIKES! 3-4 TABLEspoons of stevia is a LOT! Are you sure it’s not TEAspoons? I cook with stevia a lot and this seems like overkill on the sweetness, to me. I hope it was just a typo.

  • ۞ BodyRocker ♥ Beth ۞

    HI GUYS…

Would you reccomend me using this product: http://www.incredibody.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67&products_id=185

Instead of using a lot of egss for the egg whites??? WHAT DO YOU THINK ?
Do you think this decision would help us save up money on extra eggs ?????

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I HOPE YOU’LL HELP ME DECIDE & MAYBE I EVEN HELPED SOMEONE OUT THERE TOO :)

It’s also really cheap & unflavoured, convenient & portable stuff… SO WHAT DO YOU THINK GUYS?
CAN THIS PRODUCT BE THE NEXT BODROCKER’S NATURAL CHOICE ???!!!

    thank you :)

    <3 BR Beth

  • ۞ BodyRocker ♥ Beth ۞

    Haha !!! LOL :D

Well I’ve finally went on the “MRM Natural Whey Protein Powder” on BB.com – (in addition to some more magical goodies… LOL !!! it’s a secret !!! but here I’ll tell you: Green Tea Extract-as a Pre WO,Multivitamin w/ my BF & some nice convenient shakers :D) http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/mrm/pumped.html;jsessionid=4B8706FD2E1DB3DFE4DC03E4CFC7A66F

It has a GREAT deal on it (even though the shipping cost actually DOUBLES the total price…) it took me a LOT of time & effort to convince my parents that the products Im gonna buy are safe & low-cost… hope they would agree to buy them all year long !!!
Maybe I’ll give ‘em a taste of it … & they would want to get into fitness !!! (Am I dreaming…?)

I have to try the whey first as it’s simply cheaper the the Egg whites (I think they can’t  ship it to us anyway…) & more nutritional dense (egg whites tend to make me weak if eaten in excess [=excess means 3 or more whites a day, except of the 2 whole daily eggs I eat] as I’ve tried once).

SO – try the Whittes, I’ll try the whey, We both would make our conclusions & share ‘em here one the site :D

    Pretty cool… huh? ;P

I’ts been 12 days now from the day I’ve ordered the stack… hope it would arrive as soon as possible !!!

    <3 BR Beth

  • michelle

share more!!!!!!! i tried to freeze it but that didn’t work was too watery but it did remind me of pumpkin pie!!!

  • ۞ BodyRocker ♥ Beth ۞

You right, I do have problems w/ certain products – but this kind of whey is almost lactose free & I consulted w/ the help center of the site about this specific product, they talled me that I shouldn’t have any roblem w/ it ! anyway I can return all the containers back & they would give me a full refund on it, so I don’t really have to worry !

    thanks for your remark/note !!!

    <3 BR Beth
