BodyRocker Nastasha

Hi Freddy & Zuza,

Body Rocker Nastasha here again. I am 5 months into my bodyrocking now and happier than ever! I just completed the Del Mar Mud Run and beat my time from last year by 15 minutes!! That’s a huge improvement for me!! I was one of the top girls in my start time and division and I thank you guys for that. Everyone asked me what I did to train for the mud run and I told them all the same, a little bit of running and BODYROCK!

After my last email to you, I was blown away one day when I logged in and saw my picture on the front page of body rock! I was overwhelmed with emotion as I read all of the amazing comments by my fellow bodyrockers. It was a wonderful feeling being able to inspire others, I would have never thought it possible if it weren’t for you two.

I have turned so many friends onto bodyrocking since that post and I have gone on to start a healthy lifestyle blog where I’m posting recipes and bragging about the body rock community as well as posting information about health and nutrition as I come across it. You guys inspired and changed my life and I want you to know how very grateful I am for that!

I also wanted to share one of my favorite breakfast recipes with you!

One of my favorite little treats after a morning surf is an Acai bowl. They are healthy and very delicious! Unfortunately they are a bit pricey and there aren’t any places near my home that make them. So I decided to create my own! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Acai Bowl Recipe (servings 2)

1 Sambazon frozen smoothie pack. You can buy this at most health food stores. (I break it into pieces before blending)

2 bananas (one for the smoothie and one to slice on top of the acai bowl)

1 Tablespoon of Raw Agave Nectar (or a handful of frozen cherries, which I prefer)

1 cub of unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1 cup granola (I buy a very natural unsweetened granola)

1/2 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

2 handfuls of blueberries

2 tablespoons of bee pollen (optional but I love it!)

6 strawberries sliced

2 handfuls of raspberries

In either your magic bullet or your blender add one banana, your broken up acai smoothie pack, almond milk, and handful of cherries or one tablespoon of agave, if you prefer.

Blend all of the above ingredients and blend it thick, you don’t want it to be runny, keep in mind you will be eating this with a spoon so adjust, if necessary, the frozen fruit or almond milk so that you get a nice thick consistency.

When your done blending poor the smoothie mix into two separate bowls, half and half. Top the bowls with the remaining ingredients: coconut flakes, blueberries, bee pollen, sliced strawberries, raspberries, & granola. Wala!! I hope you enjoy as much as I do, this is pretty much my everyday morning breakfast these days ;-)

  • Lvette #1

  • KIMBERLAKE93

Yes, she is completely stunning!!!!  I said she is an inspiration to me for specific reasons.  In MY mind, that’s what a beautiful woman is.  We are all entitled to our opinions.  Lets remain positive people!!!!!!

  • KIMBERLAKE93

You’re SOOOO welcome and deserve it!!  CHEERS!  :)

  • KIMBERLAKE93

Lacey, I’m sorry that you took offence to my comment.  Everyone is entitled to their opinons here and lets remember to be supportive of everyone.  36 people “liked” my comment because they clearly know what I was getting at.  Please don’t let someone else’s opinion make you feel bad about yourself-that’s when we need to take initiative for our own lives and be proud to be BODYROCKERS regardless of shape and size.
What I meant is that EVERYWHERE you look nowadays, a size 0 or 2-4 is the body to strive for!!!  I’ve NEVER been any of those sizes (not even at birth LOL) nor will I ever be or do I want to be. Having curves or being a bit bigger has NEVER been accepted in society, lets face it… it’s not rocket science.  I know people in my life who suffer from eating disorders because of how the media makes people feel about size and being fat.  And what a complete mess, shame on them!  People like me, who actually have curves and bulkier muslces have been tormented their whole lives because they’re not a size 4.  All I meant was that it’s amazing to see people with curves finally recognized for their beauty and strength!!  I’m so proud of Natasha for her successes and being a loyal BODYROCKER and think she’s completely stunning!  To me, THAT is a beautiful woman and she is an inspiration for me.  No need to take it out of context and make it a personal attack on yourself, that’s not where I was going nor would I ever.  Positivity, good character and a kind heart is all that matters here…..lets try to help make the world forget about “sizes” instead of giving into it.  ALL and EVERY body type should be recognized as beautiful, not just the “thin ones”.  Enough said.Congrats Natasha, you are GORGEOUS!!!!  :)

  • KIMBERLAKE93

SHE classifies herself as curvy, just to be clear.
    And LOLOLOLOLOL  I know, I agree….SAMEzies!!!

  • KIMBERLAKE93

Thanks for the inquiry Elmira!!!  I too, have that problem with Bikinis!!!  I’d LUV to check out “Boom Boom Brazil”.  Howevs Natasha, I can’t find you on Facebook!  :(
Any advice?  Or maybe try adding me…. “Kimberlake”.  Thanks Natasha!!  xo  :)

  • KIMBERLAKE93

    Nevermind….found ya!  :)

  • KIMBERLAKE93

    Me too!!!  :)

Whether Skinny Whinny or Womanly Figure…..have respect for all when expressing opinion online. Many seek support and at the same time can be blown out of the water by the slightest negative comment. Intended or NOT! It’s so much more ATTRACTIVE when a HUMAN can convey what ones favorite body type or image is while appreciating all walks of life. Freedom of speech is evident, expressing with forethought is community.

    Thank you so much Karen!

    Thank you Adrian :-)

    Hello!
You can definitely do this for dessert too if you prefer. I have been playing around with Socca lately and just made a yummy fruit socca wrap with a little pure maple. You can do the banana ice-cream that Zuzana posted a recipe for, I prefer it plain, to her peanut butter version. I will also dip strawberries in dark chocolate. I just melt down a small dark chocolate bar and dip strawberries in it. I stick them in the freezer for just a few minutes… and viola ;-)
So many different ideas to play with. I think you just gave me the idea for my next blog subject.
    Happy bodyrocking!! :-)

  • KIMBERLAKE93

Respect is always apparent in everything I do or say.  Skinny whinny and womanly figured….I’ve been BOTH (at some point) in my life so I DO respect all walks of life!!!!  You CLEARLY took my comment way too personally and COMPLETELY the wrong way.  Before you criticize someone for supporting another BODYROCKER, read ALL the comments to understand exactly what they mean. And are you really “BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER by the slightest negative comments”?????  Really???  There comes a time in life that we need to be happy and confident within ourselves that we take initiative and responsibility for our own feelings.  I am nothing but supportive on the this site, unlike some others, and it’s really a shame you saw differently.

  • Joubert12

Nastasha!  Above all I like your smile…says it all girl!!  Incidentally, my figure is alot like yours’ and I realized I was fixating on the more ectomorphic body types while bodyrocking…my son says, “Mom the grass is always greener on the other side, but it still has to be mowed!”  Bodies are the same way, we all wish at times to be something different….let’s just say, that with bodies, “They all have to be MOVED!” I love seeing what bodyrocking does for any body type!, but the PROOF IS IF IT MAKES YOU SMILE!!

    Keep smiling!
    Mandy

Lets get over it people and move on! WOW.  It was weeks ago.  And I’ve defended my comment enough. If we chewed apart everything EVERYONE said, how miserable of a life would that be!?!  To answer your question Dez, I could care LESS if someone posted “curvy is just not attractive at all”.  I wouldn’t waste my energy nor ONE second of my time criticizing that person/comment because everyone is entitled to their opinion and we should feel confident enough within ourselves that we don’t let other peoples’ opinions bring us down so much or continue on a negative schpeal that lasts for weeks on end.  We should see it for what it was….a personal opinion on someone being inspired by a fellow BODYROCKER and Congratulating them on a very successful run.  I have MANY people in my life suffering from ED’s so no need to insinuate that I’m unfamiliar with that in my life.  We ALL have a dream BODY we’re striving for and we ALL have ideas of what’s not attractive to us.  I was Congratulating Natasha and explaining that in MY (I repeat 100 times, “MY”) opinion, THAT is the perfect body and I only wish I looked that damn good!

As for continuing my other “very positive comments and bodyrock on”, Will do as ALWAYS.  Lets ALL try to do that a bit more often……. :)

BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You go girl!!!!! Kimber that is…………lol

  • KIMBERLAKE93

Enough is enough. For the 3rd time, I meant no harm by it at all, I was in absolute AWE of Natasha, congratulating her for being so superb and working so hard. I wasn’t putting down anyone in particular except worshiping Natasha’s figure…only wishing I looked that good. I’m sorry if people got so defensive and took it personally, but really…how sad. Many people knew exactly what I was stating and liked my comment and agreed with it also. This world/media is so obsessed/focused on being a size 0-2, forcing people into eating disorders galore, and the list goes on. If you read ALL the comments, you’d see I was trying to say muscular/full figured/curves can and IS beautiful too!! And how pathetic this world is that it focusses on “size” anyways. All I meant by it was lets to try change the views of the world and see that there’s beauty in EVERYTHING, not just a certain shape. I’ve been with BODYROCK for a wee while now and have done nothing but motivate, encourage and welcome people to the site. I’ve been supportive to EVERY body rocker and will always continue to be. If I was rude or ignorant to a certain individual then shame on me but I never would be. To say that I don’t find skinnyness very attractive while telling Natasha that she’s an inspiration to me, was only meant to be support to her for having the womanly figure MANY of us strive for. WHY some individuals feel the need to pick apart my statement and make it into a negative one (when I was being utmost respectful to another BODYROCKER), is beyond me. I could care less what peoples opinions are, as long as everyone is making positive comments to each body rocker and their story.
Natasha, you’re superb girl!!! I hope you’re our next host!!!
    CHEERS Y’all! :)

Yes, Dez – that is what I meant. Thank you! :-) I mean, yes – Kim – Nathasha IS beautiful! But, I’ll qoute you here: “Yes, she is completely stunning!!!!  I said she is an inspiration to me for specific reasons.  In MY mind, that’s what a beautiful woman is.  We are all entitled to our opinions.  Lets remain positive people!!!!!!” – since I’m a skinny girl, I’m not then? :-) In your eyes, I guess I’m NOT beautiful? Zuzana doesn’t have curves, is she not beautiful? With curves I mean, hourglass figure, ass etc. But oh well, I guess as you say, people can have different opinions, wether we support them or not, that’s up to us to decide. :-) But guess what to all skinny whinny girls and all curvy girls? I think we’re all freaking BEAUTIFUL! ‘nough said!

  • KIMBERLAKE93

OMG….THANK YOU Latifah!  Sooo true girl!!!  :)

  • KIMBERLAKE93

    OMG….perfectly well said ElCid98!!  Hahahaha!

  • KIMBERLAKE93

  • KIMBERLAKE93

Natasha has portrayed herself to be one of the utmost professional, classy, healthy, gorgeous BODYROCKERS out there.

  • KIMBERLAKE93

Which comment?  I’m not sure which one you mean nikinhaiti but thank you so much!!
I’ve had to say a whole crapload to defend myself and my comment cause I was only being SUPER SUPPORTIVE of a BODYROCKER.  Natasha and I find it quite hilarious how people take things so OUT of context and so personal.  Congratulations to you, that is just phenomenal.  You should be SO so so proud of yourself!!!  Amazing, good for YOU!!!  Happy BodyRocking….!  CHEERS!  :)
