BodyRockers Lara & Marta

Hello Zuzana, Freddy and all bodyrockers!!

We are Lara and Marta, we are twins and started this journey almost at the same time.

It all started when we came to University 3years ago and stopped doing exercise, so Lara searched for videos in youtube and found zuzana’s videos, but we started doing “Jillian’s 30days shered”.It got borring after 3 weeks for Lara, that was watching zuzana’s videos everday and decided to start bodyroking. Lara started bodyrocking in the end of February 2011 and pushed Marta to bodyrock with her. She started in April and we both love bodyrocking.

This has become a lifestyle for us. We decided to do this change because we were so out of shape and our eating was really poor, and a lot of bodyrockers inspired us also to make a change! Zuzana’s videos are so full of energy that it makes us want to exercise! We don’t know how to thanks enough… for all the workouts, diet challenges =)

So we finally decided to send some pictures that are from the beginning of March where we were the less healthy and fit ever and pictures from now in October. Lara was 69kg and Marta was 72kg in the beginning. Now, Lara is 59kg and Marta is 61kg. We are so much better now, and we feel good about our body.

We bodyrock 5/6 days a week, but our eating got a little bad since the summer when we where at home. We are eating sugar more frequently than we should….but it is going to change.

    I did all the workouts that appeard every day… I didn’t selected any specific workouts. Just did the ones that were beeing postes, just like today :D

    We have been bodyrocking for 7 months to achieve those results…but remmember that what you eat is also important. Just doing exercise wont do miracles ;)

    Hi Ochoamcynthia!
    We’re actually still trying to eat right. But, we always try to eat a lot of veggies combined with white meat or fish. Here is a recipie that we posted here on bodyrock.tv: http://www.bodyrock.tv/2011/04/09/turkey-veggies-and-eggs-recipe/

    Our daily meals are something like this:
    Breakfast: oatmeal with dried fruits and natural iogurt (Marta eats it with milk)
    Middle of the morning: rice/corn/low sugar cookies or fruit or or bread with jam
    Lunch: meat or fish with veggies
    Afternoon meal: rice/corn/low sugar cookies or fruit or low sugar cookies or bread with jam 
    Dinner: meat or fish with veggies.

    Dinner and lunch are the meals in wich we try to vary a lot. After the workout we drink green tea withouth sugar.
    Sugar is our worst enemy (we were so additcted!!), so we try to keep 6 days of the week ”clean” and we only eat sugar one day per week (usually, saturday or sunday). Some times we commit the error of eating sugar more than we should, but we never give up of trying this strategie. We also brush our teeth after everymeal, so that we don’t eat anymore!lol

    There is no starting point in bodyrock.tv. You’re the one that decide where to start! Just pick a fun workout and try it! That’s what I did (picked “abs now workout, because it looked fun), and I just loved it.
    Now I’m a bodyrocker that follows every workout, and I choose workouts from the past. I even do my own workouts, by picking exercises that I like/are challenging ;)

    Just pick a workout that looks fun to do. You will get the hang soon. Just try to do one, and you can repeat it if you like it (I repeated some workouts 5 times, because I though they were quite a challenge, and I wanted to get better scores/times: 600rep workout, 360rep workout, 400rep workout).
    The first step is to try one workout and bodyrock everyday!!

    I used a lot this workouts: 400rep workout, 550rep workout, 360rep workout, 600rep workout, the trainner who loved me workout…. this are hard workouts,and I reapeated them a lot ;)

      Hi Sandra!!! Just start with one workout…try anyone, and adapt it to your level. When I started, I watched some workouts and I decided to try one that I liked (I tryed the “abs now workout”), and I just got hooked to bodyrock!

    Hi kutie_kid236! I did all the workouts since the beginnig. I started doing everyday except sunday, but in may I started doing everyday except saturday and sunday. 

    The workouts that I love and I reapet often are: “Hard bodies getting harder”, “Abs now!workout”, “400rep workout”, “The trainer who loved me workout”, “550rep fat massacre workout” “600rep fat burner workout”, “365rep belly blaster workout” and “360rep badass workout”. I reapeted this workout a lot of times…some I’ve done more than 5times.

    Recently I’m pround to say that I can do ninja jumps!! I’m so pround of myself! But I still need to do the one leg squat! It is so hard!

    Well.. I remember when I starded bodyrocking I used to do the same 3 workouts in a week, and them started to do the new ones that appeard everyday :) Just choose one workout and change acording to your level!!

        Não sei o que são os exercícios para resistência geral… Mas para iniciantes, digamos que não há nenhum, são todos. Tu podes começar logo a fazer qualquer um, mas de acordo com as tuas necessidades alterar os exercícios para versões mais faceis (eles dão dicas para modificar os exercícios para os iniciantes em todos os videos).       Hello Lucy!
      We don’t really have a diet model… but I will tell you how and what we use to eat:
      - We eat allways 5 meals per day (breakfast, snack, lunch, snak, dinner)
      Breakfast – 1 handfull of oat meal, milk and a table spoone of dryed fruits OR cereals with yogurt
      Snacks – apple OR 4/5 cookies OR oat meal with milk and dried fruits
      Lunch and dinner – soup,  turky/chiken steak (some times cow steak) with rice/cabbage/spagetty OR eags with turky and vegetables… etc…
      Good Luck!!

    Since I started bodyrock that I though that I would send a before and after pictures, just like other bodyrockers did :) I’m sure you’ll send pictures when you think that you’re ready ;)

    Wow! Your transformation is amazing! Thank you for posting it. I do not change a lot but I am bodyrocking 3 times a week only. Maybe I should change that to 4 times a week and maybe 5 when I feel I am ready. Thanks for the inspiration! :D

    You look amazing, girls!!!! I can’t believe you lost so much weight in so little time, that’s incredible!!! I have been Bodyrocking since October 2010, but my weight was only dropping a little in the beginning. Now I even weight more than I did when I started. I am curious, how the training can effect us all differently. I read about so many Bodyrockers who lose tons of weight, but that hasn’t happend to me, at all. Of course, my body is much stronger and muscular now, and it feel rock hard to touch, but I still find it weird. Are there others who haven’t dropped any weight?

      Hello Maria!
      We still need to work hard, so we can be even healthier and in shap… It’s natural that you did droped any weigh, maybe because you had non to loose, so you just got muscule, that is heavier than fat. So that’s why we shouldn’t focus in the scale. :)

          Yes, we are really close =) And we got this tan because we live in Portimão in the south of Portugal and we are in the beach everyday of the summer vacations xD

    Ladies keep up the good work. For me the trick to eating my mom’s food is to eat one-third of her meal and load up with vegetables.
