BodyRocker Farrah

My name is Farrah, I’m from the lovely Colorado. I do promotional modeling so i figured it was times to start losing weight and tone up so i could get hired for more jobs.

Wish me luck I’m hoping to lose 15-20 pounds and already talked to my doctor to make sure that wasn’t excessive.

i will keep everyone updated on my progress, and i look forward to seeing all of yours.

    I have to agree with DMH837.  Sometimes we think that starving our bodies will help us to loose weight when in fact it only makes our bodies go into preservation mode and hang on to every bit of fat that it can.  If you could try to come up with a plan that includes a meal every 2 to 3 hours, first one within one hour of waking up, then your body will begin to realize that the food is abundant and will stop reserving.  Also, fat cells cannot release fat properly if they are dehydrated, so try to drink a glass of water with every meal and or between meals.  Everyones body is different, sometimes it takes time to find out what works.  But if you are still frustrated it’s not a bad idea to see a doctor to rule out  thyroid/hormone, etc issues.  I have had 4 children, so understand!  We are rooting for you Dalila!!! :)

      Thank you all for your comments it really helps seeing things from a different angle! this is what I did : I start my day with Pilates workout for about 20 min and then I eat one boiled egg, 2 toasts, 1 plate of porridge (spelling???) + 1glas of milk with honey and one fruit. for lunch I usually eat meat and sallad with potatoes/rice/couscous/bulgur etc for dinner I eat scrambled eggs or pancaces:D (love them). Overall I drink about 2l water a day and eat fruit in between the lunch and dinner. So now I am eating properly I think, I am full. I was not hungry before because I think that is what my body got used to but now I have to have my fruitsallads/fruit between the meals or I get cranky:D. 

      I wanted not just to lose a little weight not much really maybe 2kg or so but mainly I wnated to tone and get a tight strong body. (I do not like skinny look, a woman is curves in my opinion like a pear;). I have also started working out 20min instead of 15 (still doing it 5days a weak though). If you are interested how I changed my looks:D look at my comment on hmm don´t really remember her name but it is a mum in a green bikini that´s posted here on the blog. I uploaded a before and after pic on me there:D. I still want to get fitt:er though. 

      I am not down anymore but instead very energetic and smiling all day long:D. You guys rock and I´ll rock with you;)

    Hi Farrah, you look great! I’m sure bodyrocking will help you tone up even more, and when you see the strength you develop, you won’t care about those scales any more!

    True on the scale advise, I see so many people focused on the number rather than the mass index.
    You can lose fat and gain muscle and lean body mass and weight the same ( sometimes more). the mirror and how your clothes fit don’t lie. No body can see your # but they can see your size.
    They look good anyway! It’s good to see people motivated.

    I hate when people get on comments boards and hate on other people…but I agree with others that I don’t know why this is on here.  It’s not a success story and it’s not really someone who’s trying to accomplish a fitness goal with BodyRock looking for encouragement.  With that said, I think anyone can benefit from Body Rock and just about everyone who does the workouts sees their body change and become more toned regardless of what they look like when they start. Skinny people see muscles appear, and flabby folks get slim and toned. So I think Farrah will definitely be able to tone her body and improve her overall fitness.  But 15-20 lbs? No. And I doubt any doctor would tell you it’s a good idea to lose that much weight. You look great Farrah and I think Body Rock will probably further improve your muscle tone. Just focus on improving overall fitness instead of trying to drop weight.

    I agree, I think you look great the way you are!!  Not telling you not to lose weight but i think muscles are hotter than just skinny.  Good Luck!! : )

    Farrah, you look great as you are, but if you are looking to go into modeling your weight loss goal is perfectly fine!! Don’t listen to all these other people. They are working towards a different goal. It’s no secret to be a model you have to be really thin. It’s your choice if you want to do that!

    Are you the girl on the right (both are very pretty)? You look really nice and toned, don’t concentrate on the scales as if you lose 20 pounds you might start looking scrawny. Instead, eat well, train hard and focus on fat loss – that way you won’t lose that much weight per se but you’ll look much smaller, leaner and you’ll fit into smaller clothes too. Good luck! :)
