It Will Rain Sweat – 1000 Rep Workout

Hi BodyRockers,

Sometimes the journey towards our goals passes through these stages where it seems like nothing is really taking place. We feel stuck, we might feel like nothing is happening to advance our progress. It’s often in these times that the greatest changes are taking place. So much of this process is about what goes on with us on the inside, and while we stare anxiously in the mirror for evidence of the physical changes, it’s actually what is happening on the inside that is the most powerful. Each day that we find it within ourselves to BodyRock we are building discipline, inner strength, perseverance and our ability to dedicate ourselves to things that really matter. Fat loss, toned muscles and all of they physical rewards of our daily training are really just the by-products of having the inner fortitude to stick it out day in day out. This inner power that we develop has the ability to touch every area of our lives, and the confidence it can lend each of us is truly just as transformative as all of the amazing physical results we experience together. Think about your strength today during each of the 1000 reps and feel the drive of your movements from the inside out – it’s there where your true power rests.

Enjoy your workout!
Freddy, Zuzana, Sean & Kyla

We have done rep challenges before, but never anything as crazy as this! This workout is comprised of 10 exercises x 10 reps x 10 rounds. This is the mount Everest of BodyRock rep routines so make sure you are ready to hit it hard. Set your interval timer as a stop watch and get ready to move through all 10 rounds of this nightmare as quickly as you can push yourself while keeping proper form. The workout breaks down like this:

10 Burpees
10 Squat Jumps with the Sandbag.
10 Push Ups
10 Toe Touch Sit Ups
10 Dips using the Dip Station (or Bodyweight alternative – see the video)
10 Tuck Jumps
10 Plank Jax
10 Split Lunges
10 Leg Drops
10 Squat Thrusts

Move through this circuit 10 times at your max effort and you are done – or should I say wiped out? Please take the time to watch the video – you will get a great little boost of motivation from how hard Kyla and Sean are pushing themselves, plus there is a tutorial that explains each of the exercises including variations for beginners and tips for improving your flow and performance. Kyla and Sean also share their time in the video so if you are looking for a target number to beat it’s in there :)

A quick word to beginners out there… this workout might look intimidating, but we have taken the time to explain each exercise in the tutorial and offer you newbie BodyRockers easier variations. We also encourage you to play with the number of reps. Why not try just 1-2 rounds if you are a total beginner? We are training here for a life well lived and the important thing is taking that first step towards your goals.

Make sure and share your times in the comments below!

I decided to start the new year with this 1000 rep workout. The last time I tried it I only made it 1/2 way. This time I turned on some good music and went for it. I finished the whole thing with some minor modifications in 50 minutes. I am feeling very optimistic about my fitness goals this year.

  • Lauren Day

33:07 + about a minute to clean the sweat off the tile so I didn’t kill myself. Plus the first 3 rounds of burpees I added a pushup to them. Definitely a great workout!

  • irreverend

Don’t get down on the numbers Lindsey. If I do the BMI it says I am overweight but nobody ever believes I weigh as much as I do. Muscle is heavy and the BMI itself tells you that it doesn’t work for people who do muscle building. Pay attention to how much energy you have, how easy it is to open doors or lift your kids and the fact that you fit in smaller pants. Keep up the good work!

I decided the 1000 reps would be my first wo of the new year and here it is the morning of the 1st. Happy new year everyone!!

I just have to say – this community isn’t behaving the way that drew me to it over a year ago. I no longer see people posting their scores and telling their personal struggles through the workouts, it’s all complaining and bickering back and forth about the hosts.  Bodyrock is still Bodyrock. The person we all identified with at first might not be in the video, and maybe Zu has her own reasons for taking a step back, but the workouts are STILL the workouts we were drawn to this site for.

I don’t even bother posting my scores anymore, nor do I feel the need to boast beating personal records. No one seems to care about that aspect anymore – the COMMUNITY we all were.

I miss Zuzanna, sure, but I miss this community acting like a supportive group cheering each other on MORE.  I’m very appreciative of the effort Freddie, Sean & the other hosts have put into keeping the site going.  Where would we be without them???  We’d be on here complaining there aren’t any new workouts.  They are producing, despite the holes and gaps and absences.  Do you think that’s easy?  The new hosts jumping in and going all gung ho to keep us coming back for our next workout? They are doing 110% to keep this site alive and ROCKING.

It’s up to us, the Bodyrock community, to keep up our end of the bargain – providing a positive and uplifting community that encourages and inspires each other to reach higher.

Exiting soapbox – and I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Attacked this today.  Ninja style.  My time was 58 Min, and I’m proud of that because last time I attempted this I couldn’t finish.  So, I finished, and now I have a time to beat for next attempt.  I highly recommend this workout.  Its amazing.  Thanks all!

Warmed up with 4 rounds of 100 skips and light stretches.

Turned this into a hotel room Bodyweight workout. Set my timer for 12 minute countdown. Even though we’re on holiday we’re on a schedule so these short workouts are perfect for me since I don’t want to short change my Yoga practice.
I was able to complete 3.8 sets in 12 minutes. But in true Bodyrock fashion I finished the last two exercises (to complete the round) after the timer sounded.

+45 min. Ashtanga Yoa standing series (including first 12 seated postures – no vinyasa between-or inversions)+ 3 backbends +close.

    Thanks guys!

ha ha!  you are hilarious!  not in a million years!

Less whining about Zuzana (yes I miss her too!) more posting of scores! That is what BR is all about!! I did this workout in 35min 21s :D

Thanks for yet another fantastically butt kicking workout!

  • Elevatorspork08

I did almost 5 rounds in 25 and i am shaking. thought I was in good shape too…

  • Karen_quinonez

    Hola Zuzana!!!

Hoy día pude hacer tres ronda en 20 minutos.

    Abrazos

  • Lindsey Linae Kinard

i did no weighted squats and i did bodywieght dips and i did it in 34.37!!! my polar says i burned 262calories and i am for sure dripping sweat. i never cheated on my pushups. i cant believe how fast i did this! i do do a half assed tuck jump on rounds 5-8 though. i hate those. feel good! day 12 is done!

  • http://BodyRock.Tv Gerri Lee Schafer

Finished this one again today Dec 11/11.  My time today was 38:56.  I used 27.5 lb in my sandbag.  This time I used the dip station with my toes on a chair behind me.  I got full range of motion this way every time instead of partial range trying to do them unassisted.  Last time I did chair dips, same SB weight and it took me 42:15

  • Anonymous

OK after reviewing my video I took of myself last time, I realized that my butt was up too high in several moves, and I wasn’t going low enough in some moves, so I intended to correct that and to do at least one more round!  Sooooo….. I met one goal!

I was really concentrating on correcting my form and my video shows that I did much better but … I could only make it through 3 rounds this time!  I was soaked and dizzy and muscles shaking!  and the 3 rounds took 3 minutes less than 4 did last time!  ha ha!  but I think it was much harder this time!

I also noticed this time that I don’t bend my knees very much when I go down into planks and same with squats.  It’s funny how your perception of what you are doing can be so different from reality!

On a high note – my pushups were awesome this time, bum nice and low, body almost level, and I’m getting pretty low now!  and my dips were also awesome, did most of them unassisted!

I highly recommend videoing yourself just so you can honestly see what your form looks like!  even if you are just going to delete it!

I’m going to revisit this one again next saturday just to torture myself again!

  • Anonymous

they didn’t explain it in the tutorial part but they did it in the video!  It is where they did plank off of their elbows and jumped their feet wide and narrow!  like jumping jacks but laying out!

  • Tanya_rogozhina

Kyla I love your shoes, where did you get it? Please

  • Cindy

I revisited this one today. My previous time was 46 minutes and today was 44 minutes. The hardest part for me were the Burpees and tuck jumps. Great workout and great video.
    Keep the good work!

  • Laura

This video is so hard to even watch, I can’t even tell what is going on. It’s very chaotic. Where’s the inspiration?!?!!?

  • Jill Hobbs

I put off doing this workout as I knew I was going to have to have a lot of energy to complete it. I did 8 rounds this morning with a few modifications and found it terribly brutal! This is certainly one of the hardest BR workouts! For me, it ranks up there with the most brutal workouts (400 Rep and Swimming In My Own Sweat.) Next time, I’ll go for all 10 rounds.

    Thanks F, Z, S and K!

  • Cilia Frascone1

    OMG..this was brutal….
Wanted to vomit 1/2 way throuh..but kept going..
Used my 40lb sandbag with the jump squats as well as the split lunges…(had to stop using it after the 5th round though).
    Finished in 59 min….
    Loved it!!!

  • http://mylittlecelebration.com Dana @ My Little Celebration

WOW. Just did this workout and it KILLED. I only made it through 5 times and almost collapsed. Awesome job putting it together!

    • Anonymous

guess you deserved that ice cream! lol

  • Pappkatica

OMG!I just finished this workout! Was insane, brutal , very hard for me, did it it 53.36 min!I am happy and feeling awesome, all my muscels are shaking! Thanks you guys!:)

  • Aimee

I did 300 of reps this morning as my first workout after two weeks off with flu. I swear I have NO power in my body right now, it took me 21 minutes!!
I love all the extra info kayla gives on the exercises, her and sean make a great duo!
I think people could be more appreciative of the new hosts, they’ve stepped up to the plate to keep this community going and given Zuzana a well deserved break from having her every drop of sweat caught on camera. Not everyone is comfortable with change but that is no reason to attack the people who are doing what many of us wouldn’t dare, devoting their time and putting themselves under our scrutiny, to keep BodyRock going for US! And thank you so much to Sean for keeping up filming :)

  • JessJN

    12/6/11
I missed 3 days of workouts :(  I feel so much better now that I’ve done something!  I did 6 body-weight only rounds, because that’s all I had time for.  30:42 + 8 min 10/20 skipping.

    Thanks!

  • Felicia

call me crazy, but i really didn’t find this workout to be as hard as i thought it would be. don’t get me wrong it was challenging, but there are other BR workouts that i would say are harder. i guess i’m getting even more fit and my endurance is better? haha no idea, but to make it more challenging i would switching the reps from 10 to 20 and do 5 rounds for anyone else who feels the same

  • Jess

I’m in a 3rd floor apartment.  For cardio I sub mountain climbers or crab kick ups when I workout & home & don’t want to go to the gym.  Sometimes I do the jumps, but I work so hard to land extra soft that it slows me down.

  • http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=VW_STEPH Stephanie

Your comment made me smile, Haley, thank you so much for taking the time to leave some encouragement for me. Means a lot!
Hope to be back on the BodyRocking wagon with everybody ready to sweat and get intense! :D

  • http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=VW_STEPH Stephanie

Thank you for taking the time to encourage me :)
    Hope to see you around!

  • Anonymous

I used a 30 pound barbell and my time was 37mins and I only modified 10 push ups and dropped the weight on the last jump squats! I am very proud :) I looooved this one! It was a great combination of strength and cardio! loved it!:)

  • tee

I feel a little defeated as I sadly did not finish!  but I am also proud of myself as though I only made it through 4 rounds my form remained pretty good through them.  I filmed my first and last round and my form is almost the same except for the parts where I’m bent over hands on knees gasping for breath!  lol  I think I need to do some more skipping to get my cardio up!

I did 4 rounds, used 20 lb homemade sandbag for squat jumps, all full push ups, toe touch one leg up at a time, dips – a little toe touch at the bottoms, first 3 or 4 on my own though!

In seeing myself on camera though I see that my bum is up a little too high on burpees, pushups, plank jumps, and thrusts, (even though I really try to concentrate on keeping it down)  and I am not getting my bum down low enough in my squat!

Even though I hated every minute of this workout I might try to do this every saturday this month to see if I can get to the 1000th rep by new years!

thanks to kyla for this awful workout, you are a sick woman! lol (at least I didn’t have a hangover when I did it, glad I don’t drink! lol)

and as always a love filled burpee for erin and anyone else needing good vibes!  don’t forget!

    • tee

Oops I forgot to post my score!  4 rounds in 25 min 52 sec!

  • http://makavelina.mplicka.cz/ Nina_CZ

Okay, I admit, I only did 500 reps. I was not doing any workout for a few days now and honestly I’ve been slacking A LOT for the last 3 weeks. I have been really BAD. But I am back starting today, more ready than ever. I SO REGRET these 3 weeks of chaos, I so regret it!!!!!! Please, Brutus, forgive me, I promise I will NEVER EVER EEEEVER again let you down and leave you!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and my time for 500 reps was 29:33 (including one really quick phonecall with my brother, he never calls me, so I just had to answer the phone!)

  • AmBoaksy

Holy Mother!!!!  Well, I may not have made record time (55:34), but I can say I did it!!!!  I almost quit halfway through, but I told myself I was stronger and better than that and I got to the end.  To me, that means way more than the actual time it took.  That being said, kudos to those who did this in less time than me.  You’re superheroes in my eyes!!!!

  • BodyRocker_Bonnie

Well this took me 1 hr, 15 minutes.  But I didn’t give up!  Tomorrow marks my 6th month BR’ing so I think it was good I did something extra hard to celebrate.  I used a lighter weight of 15lbs in my SB and the only exercise I modified were the dips with an assisted toe touch.  Burpees were my anchor that slowed me down.  Mental note to do lots of squat thrusts, loved them on my core.

    • http://BodyRock.Tv Gerri Lee Schafer

Great job Bonnie, it’s not about the time, but that you pushed through and finished!!!!!  I just passed my 10 month anniversary of BR’ing..And yes, burpees still slow me down.  If you find the dips too hard, try putting a chair behind you and put you toes up on it.  You can also do chair dips, put your hands behind you on the edge of the chair, legs straight out in front and lower your body…I actually like this way better because you get full range of motion, really isolate you triceps, and can actually do full sets and get some burn going.  I agree on the squat thrusts..great for the core.

      keep on rockin’  GL

      • BodyRocker_Bonnie

You bet me of 1s !! Grrr !

  • Vivi

Amazing one !!! It’s really raining sweat here !!! OUCH !
My time is 24.56 min !! Whoot !
For the jump tuck I didn’t stop, no “pulse” between each. I was a frog being to sweat !! lol !

For the 2 first round it’s was not really pleasant because I had to look to my log but after it was good in my memory.

    OMG I’m sweating yet !!!

    • Vivi

I did the jump squat with 10kg. What a killer this exercise !! The most difficult of all I find

  • Jeeplover01

OMG! That was awsome!!! I never thought it would end! but I finished it with no modifications and a 25-30lbs SB in 49.29minutes Thank you guys for that one…I saved this beast of a workout for the weekend so I could have time to die after instead of rushing off to school! Perfect name for this workout too, very true. Now time to get my husband to do it….wish me luck!

  • Brian

Just finished it. Wow! I feel dead, can’t talk! What an amazing abs/core workout. My time? okay, no dip station or sandbag:45:58. I’m pretty pleased with that, not bad for an old bloke. (I’m 45 in 2 weeks). I was doing pretty well halfway through, finished round 5 in a touch under 21 minutes, then hit a wall midway through round 6 and really struggled. I really am raining sweat.

Hello Bodyrockers!  Im a new Bodyrocker and I have one question.  Are the challenges something that you do in addition to the workouts or are they seperate?

    • Marta

You can do a challenge after a workout, or just do a challenge as a workout of the day, it deppends of what you feel like doing. Well, that is what I do :P
It’s always nice to have new bodyrockers!!!
      Keep bodyrocking, amy_keegan06

  • ZoeRocker

This was torture but I super needed it. I went 3 whole days wothout a workout. I always kick myself when that happens. I start to feel out of shape. My score for this one was 38:19. YAY I beat you guys!! I’ve been working two jobs and doing 10-12 hour days. I can’t bring myself to work out on some of them. Both my jobs are active though so I think its okay :)

    • Marta

      Great score!! :D

  • Gosia

they are ok but nobody does the workout as good as you do , Zuzana.  I started to workout with you  in march this year and I admire you. your body is perfect. Thanks to you I have less problems with my eating disorders and your workouts have become a part of my daily routine like brushing teeth. I feel stronger and my muscles are more visible. thank you very much. your the best.

  • irreverend

I did half the reps in 32 minutes and felt that was enough for today. I am going to mark it on the calendar to try this one again in a month to see if I can do it. I have had a rough and extremely tiring week and I tried to get this done before breakfast so maybe I just didn’t have enough gas in the tank but even half feels pretty darn good!!! Thanks for the work out guys!

  • Heather

I liked watching both of you do the workout together! Good job, guys.

  • Riza

I forgot to post my scores Tuesday, the day I completed this workout. My time was 53m 14s totally killer :D As a side note, it did, in fact, rain sweat. Just sayin’ :D

  • Smith Shannon7154

Wow, I thought I was relatively in shape until I attempted this. I could only get through 3 sets of each exercise before I felt like puking all over the place. I’m definitely going to have to work on this one. Thanks, guys!

  • lategates

    cn Allen
True that by posting ones workouts you can get valid feedback – but I think that is very different from what Zuzana has been doing – she has been posting them as our instructor, teacher, motivator – putting herself out there day after day after day.  Plus – coming up with the workouts in the first place – I just think its a whole lot of output of energy IN ADDITION to the actual filming, editing process, etc.  Take anything that you like to do and turn it into a job and eventually you are going to need a rest.  It changes the whole dynamic when you are performing and setting an example for thousands or just grunting away in your living room and putting it out there online for a few people to tell you that you should keep your abs sucked in or whatever.

  • Red Deer Rocker

I hope she is here to stay as well. Very sweet and very knowledgeable. And her body rocks. As does yours Sean. I am really enjoying watching the workouts. We all miss Zuzana, but in the end, I am here for my workouts and what goes on in their personal lives is really none of our business and not for us to judge. Thank you F and Z for allowing the site to continue on. It is greatly appreicated.

Now that being said, I’m pretty sure the comment section is for making comments pertaining to the workouts. I am sick to death of having to skim comment after comment about F and Z’s personal lives and strangers personal opinions about it. All I am reading is a bunch of whinning and complaining, when what I want to see is the wonderful scores and all the great BodyRockers encouraging each other like we should be.

Did you guys see they are selling t-shirts on facebook!

This was the first workout i have done in almost a year. My boy is 9 mths now so i really need to get in shape. This is the first workout with BodyRocker. Wanted to do five rounds only did 2 in 12 mins. Feels like i did a hour of cardio so that is amazing. Will try for 4 rounds tomorrow!!!!!

I agree with Sandra – step your feet instead of jumping & focus on keeping your abs very tight to protect your back.  If you feel strain in your back, try hold just a plank position.  If that’s too challenging, so plank from your knees.  I can’t remember if they mentioned it in the video, but as you get more tired, switch to easier modifications rather than stop moving.

  • Tamar

    hey!
wasn’t there supposed to be a new workout? am i missing anything :( been waiting for 2 days..
i did the 550 rep one today, did not manage to beat my old score :( it took me 9 seconds more than last time i did it

I live on the 3rd floor in a carpeted apartment.  My answer to your question is that it depends on the workout.  Usually I take my equipment to the apartment gym & workout on a patio there.  If there’s too much to carry (dip station, ball, & sandbag), I will either stay & home & modify something, or go to the gym & use dumbbells instead of sandbag.  As far as jumping, I will do jump lunges, jacks, mountain climbers, squat jumps, but no jump roping.  I won’t do any jumping after 10pm….also I’ve noticed lower reps when I do jumping at home.  I think it’s because I”m trying to land extra softly.

  • Mmghia

Hi Anne, I think a matt would be helpful.  They do have the thick ones made of rubber that may help w the noise.  I can land softly in the beginning but by the end my son wanted to know what I was building I was making so much noise. Good Luck and Keep BRing!

  • mag

great idea that both did it at the same time!, I feel so bad! I just can did 3 rounds :( , I really like this video but I have to say that I miss ZUZANA!! please just workout with her!, or coffe talk, recipe!!!

I do! Tucking your hands under your butt, not lowering your legs all the way to the ground or keeping your head up all help me keep my back on the ground.  Finished in 58:51

  • AdoreBR

I can not wait to try it :) ))

One of the hardest workouts I have ever done! Legit on the verge of tears in the middle of it, and I’ve been bodyrocking for a while now. but i made it!

  • midimidi

    Brutus is that you?

    • Jane

hey…i’m not being negative…i am a realist….freddie and zuz are like a reality show, they have made it so that we are all apart of there life….it is what it is.
      rock on!

  • Valerie R.

I found your website and videos recently. I’ve been always active but tore my ACL last January and had surgery in March. I am so excited to make it rain! You guys have awesome workouts that kick butt. Obviously, I’ll be doing the burpees gently for know and work my way to the hop. Can’t wait!!!!

  • Rachellanglands

39min 51sec! Come on guys, we want to see scores. Forget all the other stuff and do the workout!!!! and share some times.

    • Mmghia

Nice time Rachel! I finished at 58:52. I can only hope thats because I’ve been sick the last couple of days :)

THIS WORKOUT ROCKED!   I’m pretty sure it jiggled loose fat in all the right places.  lol. ;-)   Really loved the circuit training feel it had.   Here in Bavaria, Germany where the cold and bleak winter days are now here to stay, BodyRocking keeps me motivated, warm, and stoked.  So do all you sexy BodyRockers out there!  I tip my hat to all of you.  I too miss Zuzana and her radiating gentleness, BUT I am grateful for what this website offers, how I look forward to seeing the new workout that’s posted and how I enjoy reading BodyRocker updates from around the world.  I appreciate the hard work you guys are putting into BR!  I am absolutely positive that this website has bumped the earth’s Good-Vibes level up a couple notches.  Virtual hugs to all and keep up the good work!

  • Adrian P

Missed the Plank Jaxs explanation, the exercises are not in order … the first list shows eight the second shows 10. Just nitpicking but other than that keep up the good work :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/kendra.oberhauser Kendra Lee Oberhauser

    Hi Joanne,

They did skip it over, but I would say try the plank jax as is.  They aren’t as hard as other exercises, and you can vary difficulty with how wide you jump your legs.  So maybe as a beginner just jump them out a little bit.

    Good luck!  :)

  • Svenja R.

I did 5 rounds of this monster in exactly 35 minutes. 5 rounds was what I was aiming for since I knew I couldn’t do all 10, so I’m very proud of myself right now :)
I had a longer break after the Jump Tucks in round 5 cause I got really dizzy ^^

it may sound pretty weird but I got so sad when I saw you used other names for the exercises. Cause I can’t imagine Zuzka saying them.. as I said -really weird. But please don’t get me wrong. I still absolutely appreciate what you do.. and I just think it’s okay to miss our “mother of health” :P

Oh and I really loved the shirts you posted on facebook. I soooo want the coulered-sleeve one with “sweat hard” on it as a girl’s shirt. pleeease :)

    Zuzka – I hope you’re doing fine :)

One day post workout – Who else got a nice burn? Tell me about it :)

I really feel my backmuscles as well as shoulders.

and a bit in the bum. Love it :)

my calves are pretty sore, but my chest and sides are too. My noodle arms didn’t stand a chance yesterday!

  • Zeba

Hey guys, so I did the 1000 rep workout this morning. It was so freakin hard! It took me 1 hour and 7min and 45 seconds. After my 4th set my wrists started to hurt so I changed my Burpees to 5 reps, but everything else remained the same. I’m very disappointed in myself. I thought I was alot better than this. But on the bright side, I feel awesome! My body is aching from yesterday’s 550 rep workout and now from this! It feels good to be in pain! That way you know BodyRock works!

  • Karmalife

Holy smokes! I am a first day Bodyrocker and will admit I was relieved that my 2 month old woke up from his nap in my 5th round! Lol! Seriously though, that was a great workout. Including a 5 minute workout I finished 5 rounds in exactly 30 minutes. I am just getting back in shape post baby and am very excited to start bodyrocking. I’ve been following the site for years but this is the first time I’ve tried a workout. Very excited to be here and if I get lucky and baby goes down for another nap, I might just try another 5 rounds.
    P.S. Burpees are the worst!

I just found this site.. I tried this workout today.. WOW!  I’m out of time cuz i have an appt to get to.. I only did 600 reps in 47 min.. boy do i feel so inadequate..BUT I WILL NOT GIVE UP!  I gotta learn what all this Body Rock stuff is!! I LOVE THIS!!!

  • Lillisa

Hey everyone!! This workout was awesome, I really enjoyed doing it. My time was 46:24 and boy did I sweat! If you haven’t tried it yet, I really recommend it! Good luck. ;)

  • Samanthina

Hi,guys,i did this workout today in 24:30 min. and it was one of the hardest that i’ve ever done .And at the end i did a healing burpee for Erin as always.
    Thanks a lot,Freddy, Zuzka, Sean & Kyla ! :)

  • Anonymous

    Wow, awesome time!!

  • Anonymous

I’m just getting over a cold, so I’m blaming that on the reason why I could only power through 500 reps, at a time of 39:52.  I really wanted to complete this whole thing so I would revisit it at full force in the future, because I KNOW we are going to be destroyed…er…I mean challenged by this one again.

That being said, thanks for the breakdown of the workout.  You two explained things very well, and the variations for those without the dip station was very helpful.  I’m enjoying you two very much.  Zuzanna, enjoy your time in the kitchen.  I’m TOTALLY LOVING what you are coming up with.  Much love to all.

  • Niko

Whoah!  I’ve been Bodyrocking for around 2 1/2 years now but that was one of the toughest workouts yet for me!  I’m fine with the 12 minuters and always struggle with these long time tests…  I laboured through this one in 58.18 and could only manage normal sandbag squats from round 6 onwards.  Thanks as always for a great workout guys.  For me the whole Bodyrock team is a massive motivation, and that includes all my fellow Bodyrockers out there!  :)

  • Lvette #1

I was able to finish 500 reps in 29:54. Next time I’ll do this in the weekend instead of  a weekday. I can only afford 30 minutes weekdays for a workout. Judging from my time, I’m sure it would have taken me an hour plus to complete the 1000 reps. I was completely dredge in sweat and totally wiped out at the end of 500 reps.

The video on this was excellent. Kyla and Sean were amazing  doing the routine and tutorial…the tag team afford was very much appreciated.

I want to extend a  very special thanks to Freddy for shooting the videos  through this tough time in his life. Going through a  divorce is not easy; doing it in front of the  public must be even tougher for Freddy and Zuzana. A tremendous work is being done my all respected parties.

Furthermore, I hope Freddy, Zuzana, Sean, Jesse and Kyla know they are never going to please every person on this site; and they shouldn’t even try to do that.

    Take care everyone.

Yikes.  I just did this and it took me 48:28.  It’s weird–sometimes, esp with the time challenges, I am waaay slow, and other times I’m pretty fast.  But I think when I get bored I get a little lax.  I should have tried to not break so much during this one, just go from one exercise to the next, but I didn’t.  I stopped using the sandbag after round 6 because my knee started feeling wonky and just bodyweight was enough.

Great workout, guys.  I love both of you, and I hope to see Zuzana soon!  I miss her.  And Freddy–it would be nice to see you step out from behind the camera every once in a while! :)

  • tee

Omg, did you have to say that?  I haven’t done it yet, and hadn’t really thought about how many burpees etc I would have to do!  lol

  • Jennifer P

I could only do 5 rounds and it still took me 27 mins. Plus I did 4 mins of interval skipping before. But wow, that was hard. I’ll work my way up to 10 Reps!!

  • Anonymous

My time on this was 22:08 for the first 500 and 22:59 for the second…had to take a minute inbetween to regroup…haha

okay i am literally in a total body shake…dripping in sweat and am trying my hardest not to puke… this can only mean 1 of 2 things….either i am in bad shape, or i just killed this workout!

OMG!!! I actualy DID this workout, and completed all the 10 rounds! It took me 61min,13sec. REMEMBER THAT BRUTUS! Hahahahahahaha!

  • Crlhc

….HA! thats so funny, because I grew up doing what you call plank jumps AS squat thrusts in my gym classes!! go figure!

  • Cindy

I did it at home today. This one really challenges your body as well as your mind. After the fith round, I was hard to do it fast. My time was 46 minutes. I used a 10 pounds sandbag and I did the Kyla’s dip .
    Thanks

Well i started out really good but was getting gassed quickly. Which means this, as we all know, is a kick-butt workout. I already did the 550 Fat Mascarre workout and accomplished 300 reps of this one in 18 min. I knew I couldn’t keep up the intensity so I decided to stop. I will say that I barely rested at all so I gave it everything I had for those 18 min so I’m very proud. Can’t wait to do 1000!!  Great video! loved seeing you guys side by side, that was very inspirational.

    • Anonymous

I did this one for 23 mins and did 500 reps. I had sweat running down my face! Even though I couldn’t complete it, I thought it was an excellent workout and I will work towards one day doing the whole 1000 reps as well!

  • Andy

It may have taken me 1 hour and 7 minutes but by GOD I DID IT!!!!!!

This took 43:12 in my lunch break with a 10kg sandbag and all i can say is THANK YOU!!!!
I almost threw up twice and kinda did this half weep / half giggley bark thing at the end and was drenched in sweat but it was awesome. Didn’t think it would hit the cardio quite as much as it did.

So thank you. Freddy, Sean, Kyla and Zuzana – I was on an endorphine cloud for the afternoon at work. And thank you for giving extra tips on the proper form. I always worry about my knees so extra tips are brilliant (Kyla – I think you’re a fantastic host).

  • Evelina – The Czech Team

    Hi Kyla, Sean and Frederic,

it would be very helpful if you could clearly indicate what counts as 1 rep. For example, with the Plank Jax (starting position in plank with feet together), do you count 1 rep each time your legs go apart (out) or each jump (out and in) is one rep?

Cheerio again for a great workout.

    • Anonymous

      I think one rep = legs apart (= in + out)  ;)

  • Teacupkat

Cannot wait to do this when I fit bodyrock into my workout schedule on the weekends! Kyla is doing a fantastic job. I love when they come back to squat jumps with the sandbag she goes “I am not doing that” and jumps without the bag. It is great to see this and realize that not every fit person is a superhuman and struggles too in their own workouts.I also really liked how Sean used the dip station and Kyla did the variation without the dip station. More of this please!!! Great job guys!

  • EspeRH

I have only been able to complete 6 laps and I am bathed in sweat! My time: 40:09. Next time I’ll try to complete 1000…

    • Anonymous

hm seems my days are all “one of those days” :x   Im exhausted pretty fast because these workouts get my heart going at 180bpm at least. so cant last for very long at that pace

  • tee

this one is a time challenge so you keep going as best as you can and don’t stop your timer until your done.  rest while the timer is counting if you need rest.  If, that’s funny!

  • BodyRocker_Bonnie

This is my Saturday workout since I suspect it will take me awhile…glad I can look to all of you guys for inspiration ahead of time!  Nice job everybody!

    Hey freddy or zuzana,
will we be able to buy t-shirts on this site?  I see you have t-shirt apps coming on facebook,  but I don’t have a facebook, so I can only observe there.

    • BodyRocker_Bonnie

I am in the same situation, Tee.  I don’t have a Facebook account, (so far) just by choice, but I do like to check the various BR pages like Freddy, Sean etc.  I assume the the same information will be posted here on this site soon?  It is such exciting news – but the t-shirt contest was never posted here.  So there’s a bit of an information gap.  Maybe I’ll get a FB page, but I’m curious in seeing what the new website features are that are coming up.

    • BodyRocker_Bonnie

P.S., I’ve thought about it today Tee, and I’ve decided after not participating in FB for so long I’m finally going to.  Some of that has to do with BodyRock – - this community is so dang fun, and I don’t want to miss out on things.  So if the action is going to be happening in more than one spot, I’m going to go there too….!

      • tee

I’m thinking about it as well, I really don’t want to join as there is such bad stuff on there,  but I would like to know what’s going on here, and they don’t seem to post it here!  Also I would like to know what’s up with Zuzana and you have to be on facebook and her friend to see her page.  I suppose it would be good to be able to communicate that way with my family members as well, since they all seem to have it but me!  I just can’t figure out how to have time for all that!  I also want to keep my life private, so I have picked up a facebook for dummies book, and I’ll give it a read, and we’ll see.  I still don’t know!  It’s just so damn annoying!  Oops sorry! negativity! lol

    Hello there,

My time was 50:40 pffffff After 5 rounds I was so mind tired, my body was ok, but I just wanted to finish. After 7 rounds I did a little stretch, and then it took me like forever, but I am so glad I did it XD

  • Joanna

Yeah, she used to call this a pike-plank….

  • Lary88

    30:13!!!!

  • Vada S

ALSO, I was LITERALLY dripping sweat.  Thanks for the awesome workout!

  • Isabelle G.

It was difficult, honestly.  Not so much because of the exercises in themselves, but because it took so much drive and will just to continue!  I was sure I was to quit after 3 or 4 rounds.  I just said to myself (and Brutus!) : just another one.  And then, another one.  And another one.  Now, I’m wiped out.
    My time is 49:11 minutes.  I’m happy…!
Hey, and I really like Kyla, and really like Sean!!  I can say that I really like Zuzka as well (of course!!) but I’m a Bodyrocker first, and if the inspiration comes from Jess, or Kyla or Sean, it’s good for me!!  Keep on Bodyrocking everyone!!

Okay, I’m done.  No, really.  DONE.

Finished in 35:43 with a 15kg sand bag.  I messed up a bit and out of habit I did the 1st 5 sets of burpees with pushups.  No wonder it was so hard.  I thought I as going to die when they were followed up with sb jump squats and yet more pushups!  I did the 1st 6 sets of dips w/o mods, then switched my chairs to face each other and put my feet on one and hands on the other for the last 4 sets.

Now I’m going to run down a deer.  I’m not going to kill it, though, but offer it kind works of support and encouragement and urge it not to give up!

    It’s sunny in Vancouver!

    In November!!!

    Chris

    • Vada S

WAIT.  There was no push-ups on the burpees??   Oops.  No wonder it took me so long.  Oh well.  I guess we just got more out of it.  :)

  • TanjaB

I am planning on doing this tonight when my husband to be gets home.  I’m very scared! but so excited!

  • Markdani

39:34  no girl push-ups and 17.5 lb weight on the squat jumps with sandbag.  Everyone should feel an awesome sense of accomplishment when finishing this one and I give a high five halfway to everyone! woot woot

Anyways, this 1000 rep workout took me 37:48 min!! (the last 4 round I did just SB-Squats – and for the dips I used my Dip station – one leg on the ground)

thank u guys for this great workout!!

    + Burpee for Erin <3

    love you all!!! :)

    yes

  • Pavlina

The first set of exercise description is missing 2 of the exercises… got confused when started but did the missed ones at the end of the workout. Awesome workout, thanks!

  • Mary Lou

I planned 5 rounds from the get go, I just don’t have that kind of time during the week. I try to save these ‘killer’ ones for Saturday, but was too anxious and wanted to give it a go. 24:58 for 5 rounds. I did the dips on the floor like Kyla because I find if I go too low on the dip station I just can’t recover, but I kept the sandbag (20lbs) for the jump squats all the way through. Some day I’ll kick butt like @AudraG:disqus and @d7086caed004c5dcd963452cb7f1e9c5:disqus ! Where’s your time Maria?

  • Bodyrocker_Audra

Exactly 35 minutes of torture for me!

    • Mary Lou

      INCREDIBLE, Audra!

      • Bodyrocker_Audra

Your sweet Mary Lou!  It took a lot of mental prep for this one and was happy to finish under 40 minutes. There’s tons of motivation in the comments from all you amazing Bodyrockers!

        • ZoeRocker

Audra, I have to say, I scrolled all the way down to see what your time was and to see if you modified any exercises. I always look forward to seeing your times/scores. You are an inspiration. I’m working to become as fast as you!

    • MariaBjørgJepsen

      AWESOME!!! :D

      • Bodyrocker_Audra

You are even more awesome! Would love to do a workout like this along side you :) You’d leave me in the dust tho Haha!

  • GoustiFruit

    This one is.

  • Kalin

Sean and Kyla, you are an excellent team. I really appreciate both of your no-nonsense, straightforward, but personable approaches. Keep up the fantastic work!

  • Tamar

I DID IT!!! i think i could have done better, but it was really hard and after the 2nd round i started taking little breaks between the exercises- out of frustration i think- coz i knew i had a long way before i finish this… anyway.. no breaks between the hip thrusts and the burpees and o breaks on the jump tucks :)
    51:09
can’t wait for tomorrow to do another workout :)

  • Rachelle Leigh

This was REALLLY rough I gotta say.. when I hit my 4th round I was thinking holy sh*t Im not even half way there! But then once I got to the 6th round I got my second wind. I will admit I only did 5 burps before each round starting 3rd round in.. but I never dropped the sandbag for the jump squats and I did full pushup the whole time.. so I’m still happy : ) Great workout, drenched in sweat, and I also love Kyla! You are gorgeous and I love how you transition from one exercise to the next so smoothly. I also love your tats : ) Keep up the great work guys! Miss you Zuz!!

  • Gerrilee Schafer

WOW !!!!!  More like a monsoon of sweat  LOL…  Used 27.5 lb in my SB and did all 10 sets with it.  Did chair dips, real PU’s.  Took me 42:15  I did spend some time wishing it would stop lying on the floor before each round of toe touch sit ups, but other than that, I kept going.  After round 2 had to take mini breaks between some of the burpees.  These and the SB squat jumps were the hardest.  Loved doing the jump knee tucks.  Can crank those out with no pause, just jump, jump, jump!!!!!

Thanks guys and gals…keep them coming

  • GoustiFruit

Few, some crazy numbers here again :-o
I just finished it in 38’50, only the dips I did assisted with one foot on the ground, the rest was normal form.
The hardest part for me was the burpees, they always kill me. And doing squat jumps just after is sadistic. Also, the always changing pace between exercises was challenging: 10 reps is very short, you just adapt to the flow of one exercise and, bam! you have to re-adapt for the next.

  • Jessica LeBoeuf

That was pretty tough, i gave it my all and finished in 25 minutes!! Woo I’m so sweaty, time for a shower :)

  • michelle

Dang hardest one yet.  would have loved to see Zuzka push through it but Klya was great.  I had to stop at round 6 to teach bootcamp so thought I would finish it there as my warm up the girls were like WHAT the heck this is the warm up  hee hee hee  just HAD to finish it!!!!!

  • Annebel Wind

Well on the other hand I feel more like a 30 old lady, with I almost am.. I shouldnt give up.. never.. Because bodyrocking is about pushing yourself.. So I will do that.. Thanx guys..

    • MariaBjørgJepsen

      Hey Annebel!
Don’t be so hard on yourself – you are a true Bodyrocker! Your dedication is shown in all of your posts here on the site, so don’t ever doubt your own strenght and abilities. Be PROUD you even managed to finish all 1000 reps – that is a triumph in itself!!! Keep Rockin’ and give me a smile ;)
      Love, Maria

  • Annebel Wind

I see all the comments on my question. First I want to thank you for responding. Second of all i feel like a 70 year old lady now. I can not believe that all of you guys can do this in such a short time with mini or no breaks. I am starting to have a hard time believing that I will get there. Because I  am bodyrocking for a full year now.. i will try this one again soon en will beat the 70 minutes that It at least took me. Thank for your comments guys.. Will keep trying…

I know what you mean Annebel, it’s been almost a year for me too and some of these times are mind blowing! I feel old.

    • http://www.facebook.com/ildiko.mazar Ildikó Sünci Mázár

I tell you what: your highest intensity is not any worse than a pro’s highest intensity, on the other hand by working out for longer you keep your heart rate high for longer too, meaning more calorie and fat burn and an awesome workout overall.
Besides, the point is that you don’t quit and the longer you do without quitting the tougher you must be to do so – what is not admirable about that? Rock on, Annebel!

    • tee

Oh no, now I’m really worried annebel, because you’ve been beating my scores lately and it took you 70 min.  I’m going to do it saturday, and god I hope I get through it!  lol Because I’ve been here over a year too! yikes!

just keep swimming, just keep swimming! – finding nemo!

  • Minna

    Couldn’t finish all 1000 but i did 800 reps in 40:24! :)
A nasty headache got on my way during round 6 and I had to have little breaks to ease the pain. During 8th round I decided to give my head a break and stop. But i feel happy i gave it a go and did my best. Great workout and felt totally wiped out after.
    It did rain sweat.

    Hi there,

so I have to take a 2-3 days break due to some pain in my back, nothing serious but I feel I have to rest them for few days just to be sure…
but I will be here, thinking of you all

    kisses to you all

    • MariaBjørgJepsen

Get well with your back, honey bun :) We think of you, too!!!
      Love, Maria

      • Anonymous

thank you..it is much better already,I think I slept weird, but tomorrow I am back in a saddle..
        kiss

  • Glowmerida

oh I also wanted to say that I think kayla is doing an amazing job! I really like the way she explains the workouts!!

and I wanted to ask where Zuzka is?! I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that it’s not about demanding a new video from her! As a bodyrocker you get to a point where you fell like she is a friend, and when a friend disappears for a week you get worried and just want to know if she’s ok!

  • Glowmerida

I only could do half of it, because I really felt dizzy at that point (and had to go somewhere afterwards, so I didn’t want to destroy myself completely). took me 29:22.

I have no idea how anyone could do the whole 1000reps in ~30min. did you all just do the 8 exercises of the workout breakdown? ^^

    • Mmghia

I sometimes wonder at some of the times but we do have some seriously fit people here.  One day we will be one of those people!  Good Job just the same, I havent even tried it yet.

      • Glowmerida

you’re right! I just thought that after half a year of bodyrocking I could at least finish the workouts and not almost throw up after half of it XD

  • Moonann11

Hi! I would like to say that these workout was boring for me. I did only 500, and I understood that I don`t like it, it`s like for a robot, very monotonous. Sorry gyis, it`s not challenge me, also it tooks a lot of time – about 50 minutes, but I can`t say that I was totally gassed out or something like that. I vote for short but intense workouts, for example “You da one” is number one for me for now.

  • Anonymous

I almost quit after 5 rounds and I had a valid reason, I had an appointment I would be late for – I was cocky and thought I could finish this in about 50 minutes gauging from the comments I read, the times I saw were about 30-1.5 so I thought I’d land somewhere in the middle – but it took me about 1 hour and 3 minutes. But I couldn’t bear the thought of having to repeat this because I would have had to go back to it and do it over if I didn’t finish. So I did it! 15 lb. homemade sand bag (the rice bags used to be 20 lbs but lately many are only 15 lb.), bodyweight dips, which I really liked. And regular push ups! I was not going to let this bring me to my knees!

I make the sandbag with a duffle bag and duct tape – I tape the straps down to make the handle and it works beautifully. The UGI ball I’ve made by using a 5lb kettle bell and wrapping it with bubble wrap and then with a Mexican blanket and duct taping it – more or less it works.

I like Kyla too, great legs, great job on the workouts. And I’m sure whoever comes next  as host will also be good, after all Freddy and Zuzka are picking them. But I looooooooove Zuz!

  • MariaBjørgJepsen

    25:55 – I feel incredible and WEAT!!!!

I was waiting to see your scores!!

You are too sweet, Pavlina. THANK YOU! I would love that challenge, though!

I don’t usually do my workout at the end of the day.
Timing is everything…digest dinner, get the kids to bed and warmed up with 10x stairs (single steps) + some light stretches.

I have zero interest in doing these types of workouts for more than 20 minutes, so that was my compromise…how many rounds in 20 minutes.

4.4 Rounds which translates to 4 Rounds + the first four exercises in the fifth round.

Great combination of exercises and a great challenge.

    Plus 4 x 100 skips
+ 40 minutes Ashtanga Yoga Standing series (including first 5 seated postures + 3 backbends +close).

    +1B4E

  • Courtney

This. Was. Brutal. I contemplated quitting after round 4… then round 5… and then round 7. I’m really glad I stuck it out and didn’t quit. I finished in exactly 49:00, which is an accomplishment to me because I thought for sure it would take me over 50 minutes. I was completely surprised after round 1 just how tough it truly was, so I expected my time to be terrible. So yay for beating my negative expectations!

  • Anonymous

I enjoyed watching Sean and Kyla in this intense workout.

After my preworkout coffee (decaf) I completed this workout in 33 minutes and 30 seconds.

This was very exhausting, but it felt great! (when it was over).
My shoes kept trying to come off during the plank jaxs. Had to stop briefly to put shoe back on. :)
    Bravo, I love these workouts.

  • Anonymous

Finished in 32:04!  Thanks you guys, Kyla, Freddy, Sean and Zuzana! Keep up the great workouts. This one was brutal!!!

    Loved it!

  • Melissa Conway

Wow, talk about intense! My sister and I could only make it 600 reps and both did it in about 32 minutes. I plan to do this workout weekly for a while to work off those bad days I have!! Looking forward to the day I’ll do 1000 =)

  • Sarah G

Today has been raining all day, and I felt quite lazy going into this workout. I only did 4 rounds, unfortunately, in 20:31. I just wasn’t feeling exercise today : I think I’m going through a slump :<

But hey, 400 reps is better than none I guess. And my form was quite good. Ah well, I'll kill it next time :)
    Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Btw, I liked seeing both Sean and Kyla exercising together, it was interesting and inspiring to see them both plowing through! They're really good at teaching the workouts too. Thanks guys :)

    • http://www.youasamachine.com You As A Machine

      I’m with you…I did a countdown challenge.
How many rounds in 20 minutes. It’s ok to tweak the training to suit your needs.

      • Sarah G

Yeah, when I’m in those funks, I prefer to do less, but make sure to do it right. Good to know that others tweak things too :)

  • http://www.dheana.com Dheana

No sad faces there Dantev. Look at it this way, you pushed hard for an hour and a freaken’ half! That deserves a high five, not a sad face! :) Be proud my friend!

  • Sarah G

    Welcome! You made it! :D

    One side= one split lunge

    as for burpee’s name… Who knows? :P

  • DebUK

Hi i think kyla is great and i think she and sean are great. For me it hs taken bodyrock to another level. I wasnt sold on jess, but kyla inspires me. Thank you guys!!

  • keith

I hope to see Jess and Sean teamed up soon.

  • keith

I kinda hate to say it….. you hit on a winner the kyla/sean combo is a winner! Laughter, smiles a little entertainment, great instruction and killer motivation! Just miss Zuzana thats all. After all, early on it was called “Zuzana’s bodyrock”.

  • sselcann

i was only able to do 500 reps today and my time is 25:46 without any breaks.

  • Susie Smith

woa..i think this was by far the hardest BR workout i have ever done. i compelted this workout in 43.42 and i must admit i took serveral breaks….i feel like i lost 5 pds doing this workout!!!! : )

  • Janessa Reimer

My goodness what an awesome workout! I did 500reps though, but man i was huffin and puffin!

  • Marie__oliver

Hi! awesome job! i have a question thiough.. aeverytne i start training THIS HARD , my legs grow their diametre and they’re bigger than before, as well as my arms.. it’s not that they get shaped and toned, they are BIGGER… is there a way to prevent it? thank you!!

  • Rebecca

I’m fighting a cold and have a fever but I decided a little sweat is always a good thing…and holy moly this was a sweaty one!  I did it in 47:02 and can’t wait to try it again when I’m feeling 100%!

  • cn Allen

    Hi guys,

I filmed my attempt at this workout and got halfway through for a time of 31 minutes.

    http://youtu.be/-Bt68MWTi8A my username is Animusimperat

Goodwork Sean and Kyla, 43:23 for the entire this is very impressive. I’ll have another go soon.

    Christian.

    • Gerrilee Schafer

good job, just watched your first round….like the weight plate idea for the jump squats…when I use the SB for things like that I get big bruises on my forearms…also like the 10 items lined up…no need to count or keep track that way

    • Gerrilee Schafer

  • midimidi

my opinion, they are harder the way you did them as long as your form was plank the whole time.

  • Anonymous

it might be none, some or both of those options and/or that you are not stretching correctly. I think if you listen to your body, you’ll figure it out. Also I think that a bit of soreness is a sign of a good workout… but not too much. you know.. it’s your body so take care of it.

    Finished in 26:14 :D
The sweat was dripping so bad…
    Thanks for this!

    • sselcann

      all 1000 reps in 26:14 ?? gosh

  • ~Haley

I’m renaming this workout:  Punishment for eating Pecan Pie

    OH. MY. GOSH.

This one was absolutely the hardest workout ever posted.  You guys are insane.  WE are insane for doing it!!    Absolutely what I needed after being “bad” this weekend.  I was wasted after 3 rounds.  I think that’s because we always do 3 rounds in our workouts.  At round 5 I was done.  At round 7 I was content to quit, at 8 rounds I wanted to die, 9 rounds, I couldn’t get up, and the 10th round I did in a coma.  You guys are super in shape for doing this in 45 minutes.

My time: 1 hour, 8 minutes, 8 seconds

  • lategates

I think I am beginning to understand why we aren’t seeing Zuzana so much – lets face it – for most of us our daily workout is PRIVATE – in our own home, at our own speed – without worrying about lighting, hair, makeup, what we are wearing – a time when we can face our demons and work out our negative emotions for the day – working out on camera is totally different – it’s not personal anymore – thousands of people are going to see it – I think that could get awfully stale after a few years and hundreds of filmed episodes….I could understand why Zuzana would want to step back and focus on other things…I am grateful for what she started and what is now continuing…..all for FREE – thank you so much.

    • Anonymous

wow this is a good point, never thought about it like that.  maybe she is upset and does not want to put on a smile and workout for everyone, she just wants to workout for herself

  • Anonymous

Damn! I only could do it half way cuz my neighbor asked me to stop what i’m doing cuz i’m waking up their little girl :S
but i managed 5 rounds in 29:45 min!
I don’t think i could have done any more anyway. I have to try to complete it an other time!
    This was great! thx

    • sselcann

hahaha eszter i was scared that my neighbor will come down as well! especially with those jump tucks making so much noise..heheh :) ) i also only did 500 reps. brutus got me on this one :( ( but i ll do the remaining 500 reps tomorrow and see if i m doing the rest of it better or not :) )

  • KIMBERLAKE93

Thank You Zuzana, Freddy and Sean for such an amazing site!!!!!!
I started with my 5 daily burpees then completed “It Will Rain Sweat” in 45:27.  Very proud of myself but couldn’t have done it today without a certain somebody….. :)
I cannot even begin (with the right words) or even stop complementing the input of Kyla into BodyRocktv.  Just genius folks!  The best thing we’ve seen since Zuzana, in my opinion.  I couldn’t imagine a better fit!!!!!  :)

  • Anonymous

This one should’ve been called Perverted Punisher II !!!! :D
Just finished it, it was amazing. I’m so happy because I pushed myself hard like never before! My time was 43:07.
I wanted to quit after the fifth round, but I just kept going. I realised that there is no arguing with that voice in your head that tells you to quit, you just ignore it and keep going. :)

  • Bohdanam

    wow
    this one was coming….. great
    33:20 min
    35.6 lbs sand bag

After following this site for a couple months and reading all the inspirational stories of the community, I finally decided to try one. And it had to be this one?! Damn. It killed me! Sadly I wasn’t able to finish the entire set, but now it’s my goal to finish this entire set one day. It will happen!! Thanks for setting the challenges BR team! This first post and workout is my commitment to keep at it. Bring it!! :)

  • http://twitter.com/karmalaluna Arika

Oh. My. God. I will do the heck out of this tomorrow!

    • http://twitter.com/karmalaluna Arika

It took me 50:49 seconds to do this workout! Definitely left me pouring!

  • Andy

I think that was awesome, you guys did a great Job! Two hosts syncronised Body Rocking and tag team explainations it was very impressive. Well done and thanks, I enjoyed it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=706388249 Tori Larson Bradford

Oh my.  I didn’t think I would make it through this workout.  It took me 51 minutes.  I am dead now.  Crazy fun, but hard.

  • Annebel Wind

    Hi everyone,

Just a question, did any of you take breaks? And did you stop the time than? Because if I count in my breaks it took me over 70 minutes.. i was totaly out of breath after every single round, so had to stop after every round. I also stopped the timer.. So whitout breaks I did it in 51.41 minutes. It was a really hard workout..

    • http://ofdreamsandseams.blogspot.com/ Katja

Hi – I can only speak for myself: I don’t stop the timer at all (unless the doorbell rings or something stupid). I think reducing the need for breaks is part of getting fitter. I was wondering the same thing though, as other people have crazy low scores. Maybe because in the workout breakdown on top two exercises are missing? Maybe because you went deeper and slower in the exercises, getting more out of them?
I have come to the conclusion that it’s really my own numbers I need to compare myself to. As that is the only way to really see the improvements anyway.
Hey, don’t worry – you finished, and that is a major accomplishment! I did this today too, and I still feel every muscle in my body… :-)
      Congrats!

  • http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=VW_STEPH Stephanie

    Great vid !
I’m feeling like a total failure. I haven’t worked out for 2 whole weeks. I almost didn’t attempt this workout tonight. I went for 5 rounds instead of 10.
I gave up after 3 rounds, really tired, on a time of 19:15.

    I’m wiped. Sorry guys.

  • Anonymous

That’s a good time, if its your best!  I am waiting to do this workout because I am sick :(  So at least you are healthy enough to do the workout! :)

  • Gogo

Didn’t have time for the full 1000 before work so did a 500 and that kicked my butt!  Time was around 25 minutes :)   On a day with more time I’ll attempt the 1000…you guys were hard core today!

  • BodyRocker_Bonnie

I really appreciated the workout introduction post – it was exactly what I needed.  I even printed it off to add to other posts I frequently re-read for a booster.

Still looking forward to that future book, Freddy! :)

  • FC

Thanks for this workout! I’ve been requesting some new bodyweight workouts, hope to see more soon.

    To Zuzana,

I know you made a coffee talk in regards to motivation. And many here have posted that they have lost motivation. What I really think they meant is a loss inspiration. You have inspired many to push themselves because they have seen your progress. We all here are accepting the changes, but know that you are the inspiration to many who come here. Hope to see you do some workout videos soon.

  • Legacy921

Wow!!!!  I was only able to do half, but I am still proud of 500 reps!!!  I may have been able to push one more round out, but I ran out of time!  hahaha!  It took me 45 minutes to complete my reps.  Now I am ready to take on the rest of my day!!! :)   Thanks guys for giving us your time!  And I love the dynamic between the 3 of you, great energy!!!

  • GoustiFruit

I don’t want to look at others scores until I have this beast done :-)
I was ready this afternoon and just when I was going to start, bang, ring at the door and then my afternoon was lost :- I hate when this happens, I hate to miss my daily workout !!!

  • ۞ BodyRocker ♥ Beth ۞

HAHAHA :D U Look SO FUNNY together working out :D that’s awesome !!! LOL

  • http://twitter.com/wpmei wong mei

tried this and wow what a workout. I am a beginner so i could only do 1 round. will push for 2-3 tomorrow. But I have a question about the dip. My wrist hurt while i was doing it and i tried shifting my weight here and there but it was still the same. Any advise guys?

Also I get bruises on my knees although i use a workout mat. Help!

    • Tanya

I roll my mat over so it is doubled up, it helps a lot with the knees. Your wrists may be weak or you could be rotating them too much for support? Maybe try doing dips on the floor or on an elevated surface (hands on a on a chair, block, stairs and feet on the floor) it helps reduce the pressure on your hands and wrists I found.

  • http://twitter.com/GabayC Gabija D.C.

    This looks super fun!
Also it looks like it should fly by very fast – I mean 10 reps doesn’t seem much psychologically.:D

Though the entire 1000 must be brutal physically. Will try this today or tomorrow – must see how my sore muscles feel

  • kat

WOW what a GREAT workout dripping sweat right now.  My time was 41:32 also had to drop down to my knees for my pushups towards the middle of the workout!  Better luck next time :)

I love her too!!! Great workout I am ready to sweat!

    Thanks!

  • Cynthia

Hey Guys this was a ton of fun , my time was 33:01. It is nice to see the enthusiasm from Sean and Kyla is cool, but I do miss Zuzana. I totally respect her choice to focus on other areas of the site and appreciate the efforts being made by everyone in this adjustment period. ;) Looking forward to the next workout . Have a great day everyone!

BRUTAL BRUTAL BRUTAL. This workout hold up its name big time, after the 6th round i had to stop to dry my exercise mat in every round. It was also enjoyable workout! It took me 47.24 Min with 8kg SB, those Squat jumps was killer, i had to tell myself in each round  its only 10 .All in all awesome workout.
    Have a good day all.

  • Sabrina

I am elated!! So glad its not another 20 x 10/50 HIIT, I was getting tired of that! and its all nice simple “focus on one movement” type exercises. I cant wait to try this, I might have to do a 500 rep workout but Im gonna push and if I can do one more rep then 500 I can do 1000!
    Thanks guys!Sabs

Okay you guys Freddy, Zuzana, Sean & Kyla will you never and I mean never do this to me again….WOEHAA!!! This was amazing!! To die for…but I had a workout that I had to fight for. I wanted to quite but I pushed and pushed! I’ve made the finish and I’m so proud of myself. I can do everything I want if I fight for it. This is so much more than a workout…for this you have to take control over your body. Your mind must be stronger than your body….Thank you so much…..Love you all. xxx

    • Anonymous

      I did 10 rounds in 56:57

Thank you guys!!!What about some week or month challenge????
    Burpee for Angel  Erin!!!
    Have a great day!!

  • Pavlina

Did Kyla say they did this workout in ‘three… three twenty three’? I assume that means 33mins and 23sec and not just some hearing hallucination I just had? :)

Please guys write down the weight you use each time if you can, too. Thanks.

    • http://ofdreamsandseams.blogspot.com/ Katja

Hm… I understood 43:23…. but seeing all you guys awesome scores I think that it might have been wishful thinking on my part ;-)

      • Anonymous

        I think she said 43:23 too.. :)

      • Annebel Wind

Hi Katja, your scores are great.. I have a similar score so.. But also needed to take breaks.. So don’t feel less or slower than others.. You still finished it, and probably whitout breaks.. So you are faster than  I am.. Keep on rocking!

        • http://ofdreamsandseams.blogspot.com/ Katja

He he, that’s funny – I just answered to your comment, too ;-)

      • Pavlina

You’re right, Katja – I played that bit of the video few times and she did say 43:23 :)

  • http://ofdreamsandseams.blogspot.com/ Katja

    I LOOOOOOOOVE IT!

Just as I was getting tired of the 12 Min. 10/50 workouts…
This video is excellent, thanks Kyla and Sean!!!

    My score:
    50:43:51.

I also wrote down my score for the first 500, it was 24:26, as I am sure I’ll be doing “just” that every once in a while. I filmed myself during rounds 6 and 10, it is hilarious to watch and really helped me push as I was loosing inner/outer strength to push on… It was a killer and I feel awesome for doing the whole thing.

Freddy, if you are reading this – the first workout breakdown, right under the video, is missing the last two exercises. And I believe in the video you guys skipped the explanation of the plank jaxs. No biggie, as it is basically self-explanatory, but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

Thank you all sooooo much!!!! Ahhhhh, never ever felt so great about myself!!! Yes!

  • Samantha R

Fab workout – finished in 34:22 but the time seemed to go soooo quickly.  Sx

    • Anonymous

Wow, that is quick. Great job.

  • http://makavelina.mplicka.cz/ Nina_CZ

Let me just say, without offending anybody, I LOOOOVE Kyla. I so enjoy watching her, she is just exactly my cup of tea. I loved this video, how you guys were doing it together, haha, it showed a great teamwork.
I have an evening shift this week, so I can do my workouts in the morning, I just got up really late today, so I will be doing this one tomorrow, I can’t wait, it looks so great, so dynamic, so fun to watch and it will surely be fun to do :) I hope I will do all 1000 reps :) ))

hi guys!  I was just writing down the breakdown and noticed that in the top breakdown you only have 8 exercises and then lower down you have all 10.  If people follow that one they will only be doing 800 reps!  oh no!

workout looks great!  good expanations for the proper form.

I gather you waited for each other sometimes,  sean pushes out those pushups so fast, and it looked like kyla might have been faster in the burpees?  It was neat to see you workout side by side,  to see slight variations in form.  like sean likes to keep his feet apart in jumping out and kyla keeps hers together.

    good stuff!
Don’t forget your burpee for erin!

  • Anonymous

Nice to see longer workout here :)

But these are half-burpees, aren’t they? And Sean’s push-ups look like  “speed 2/3 push-ups” or smth like this ) I think it’s better to do less. but full push-ups (but maybe it’s just another excercise).  I was shocked with the amount of push-ups before I watched the video.

I also miss Zuzana as everybody else! I wonder if she is still designing and doing this workouts?

    • tee

I don’t believe she’s designing the workouts, most lately have been designed by sean, this one was kyla’s.

kyla – you changed one exercise, and this time it took you 17 min less, is this because of that exercise or the competition, (or the night before – tongue in cheek!)?  good job!

I love Kyla, Jess and Sean (& Freddy)  but the lack of Zuzana here on this site sure has caused my excitement of coming here to drop greatly!  Sorry!  I looked forward all the time to come and see what new thing Zuzana had, whether it was a new workout, a coffee talk, a recipe, or a travel video.  Yes I still like watching and doing the new videos, and talking to other bodyrockers,  but it is just something I do now.  I turn on the computer to see if there is anything from Zuzka, and disappointment almost every day.  I mean, they both said she wasn’t going anywhere, she was still going to be designing workouts, doing workouts, as well as coffee talks and recipes,  yet there is almost nothing new from zuzka here, and frankly I miss it.  and I’m sorry that some people might think I’m one of the obsessed,  but I miss zuzana & I’m not afraid to say it!  Love you zuzana, hoping this is all your choice!

Lightalloy, were you the one with the page that had all the workouts listed?  someone was asking yesterday for the link.  sorry if I’ve got that wrong.

Have you read/heard anywhere who is designing the workouts? This workout seems to be designed by Kyla but It just my guess – it’s kinda different from Zuzana’s)
Maybe Zuzana is tired of being in front of a camera for so long and with all this job with the site and she needs rest, but she’d better post it on a site, cause people are worrying :)
As for me I’m doing older and some of new workouts. but now I also incorporate some other training (a bit of weight training and pole dance).

As for workouts list – yes, it’s mine. Here it is – http://fitness.litealloy.ru/workouts/tags . I also gonna do some improvements for my site to make it more searchable .

Oh yah, When zuzana was intro’ing the videos of sean she said he was designing them, and today’s 1000 rep I just watched kyla do it on youtube from may of this year.  If you search kylagagnon you should be able to find her videos and her blog, insideoutfitness

  • Brian

Great workout. The explanation was excellent, I particularly liked the way you guys explained the way to avoid injury. That is so important even for advanced Bodyrockers.

This workout is going to be a killer! But that’s what I love. I really liked the see Sean and Kyla doing the workout together. Thank you so much.

Miss you Zuzka. Hope your having a lot of fun! Love you xxx

  • Vivi

Very excited to do this one !! (but not today for me :p)
It’s really pleasant to see you both <3
This kind of video with a duo is great !!

I just wanna say "Hello" to zuzka, because it's strange to not see her so much…just for recipes…
    Why not a trio ???!!!

  • Amanda

Finished in 48:34. You were right; it DID rain sweat!

I never thought I could complete a workout like this 2 years ago when I weighed 275lbs. 145lbs down and I feel great! Thanks, for all the great workouts, guys. :)

  • ZoeRocker

Can’t wait to try this! I did the first 300 reps of the “600 Rep Fat Burner” workout yesterday which took me almost half an hour and nearly killed me. I can’t imagine what this one will do…Yikes!!

  • AmBoaksy

Wow!!! This workout is on reserve for the weekend!

  • Zolasoleil

Zuzana, where are you??? I miss you.

    • kat

yes, we all miss Zuzka, But honestly Klya is GREAT she is very motivating!  She is just as good as Zuzka.  Zuzka said she did not want to do the workouts on camera anymore she wants to focus on recipes.

      • Mmghia

Just as good??? I guess thats a matter of opinion.  No disrespect intended but thoses are fighting words :) Tee said (regarding Z removal from the workouts) ” hoping it was all your choice” I for one hope that it was but I have my doubts.

        • kat

your absoutely right it is my opinion and honestly it’s whatever motivates us right?  I for one think Kyla is very motivating just like I thought Zuzka was.  Do I think Zuzka was pushed off Bodyrock.tv God I hope not, but than again from her own mouth she said she wanted to focus on recipes and other things on this site.

          • Mmghia

I know and I so want to believe that but when the camara man moves to Canada what choices do you have? And then sometimes there are those people who will sacrifice there own wants just to make things go better, but we can speculate all day and in the end Zuzka seems to be fading from the site.  But we will still Bodyrock because that is who we are but I’m sure many would turn back the clock, if only we could.

i dont know if that is really what zuz wants, even tho she said it

        • kat

If that really is the case than it is really sad because so many of us joined bodyrock because of Zuzka

  • Eleni Greekteach

YES!!  This looks so fun.  I love crossing off on To-Do lists, and I will be doing so as I complete each set!

Love the concept of the video! The duo was very fun to watch! And I love the detailed explanations on how to achieve proper form (what to do, and what NOT to do, and WHY: verry verry instructiv!).
Can’t wait to do it tomorrow!
