Day 5 Week 4 of The 30 Day Challenge – Do It Now Fit Test Workout

Hi Bodyrockers,

This is it !!!! This is where you show what you are made of & how far you have come. It’s time for your final fit test & we are going to batt those original scores out of the park today – No Excuses !!

I wanted to take a moment and remind you of how strong you are. Everyday we receive 100′s & 100′s of posts thanking us for motivating you – and it’s a pleasure to workout with you everyday, I hope you enjoy it as much as we do :) However (and this is important) –  BodyRocking is a 50/50 relationship.  It’s YOU who made the choice to get up off the sofa & it’s YOU who upped the weight to push yourself a little harder today, and it’s YOU who made those changes (no matter how small they might be) happen !!

P.S. If you need a little boost be sure and watch my little pep talk on Loving Yourself and Rocking the Body that YOU have – it’s at the bottom of the post :)

The Fit Test:

Set your interval timer to 50/10 and complete as many as the following exercises in the time as you can. We will be using our interval timers in every single workout of this 30 day challenge and it is basically the only must have item for BodyRocking. Our timers let us know when to switch exercises and the “beeps” keep us all pushing harder then a regular clock ever could. Ask any seasoned BodyRocker and they will tell you that working out with our timers takes it to a whole different level.

Squat Jump

Push Ups

Burpees

High Knees

Switch Lunges

Tuck Jumps

Straight Abs

Remember to post all your fit test scores on the website & on the Facebook pages & this weekend take a moment out to praise yourself on how far you have come in such a small period of time & reflect on what you have achieved, learnt, and how much you have gained from the community & sharing the journey everyday as part of a Team – Team BodyRock :) !!

Just completed the 30 day challenge! Yeah… I’m quite a few months behind. I am tremendously proud of my accomplishments. Having fallen off the wagon for months and months and then jumping into this with full commitment and dedication, I have amazed myself.
Freddy, Lisa, and Sean, thank you so much! You have helped me be all I can be. I am the happiest I have been in a long while.

I bet my first scores in the second fit test and I’ve beaten both in the third fit test! Such progress in only 30 days. It is so easy to achieve, just push yourself!

sorry yboog! finally spotted this reply of yours! I don’t really have a number in mind for what I should weigh, I’m sort of guessing somewhere in the 125 area, maybe lower, I’d have to see what I look like & how hard to get there. I have always wanted to see some muscle definition, I have been all sorts of weights, 98lbs in high school – no muscle, 118 – 125 quite a bit of muscle but no definition! higher and higher with babies, and after. I have finally made it to my first goal of 150lb, so next is 140, then 130, then we’ll just see how things look! I’m not worried about abs as kids destroyed that, would never see them for the loose skin but I’d be happy with flat! lol
I notice that my weight slowly drops all week, fri or sat being my lightest then I cheat a little on weekend and up it goes, but the trend is slowly getting a little lower some fridays! so that is good!

    ha! hope you see this!

    Final fit test
    (1-2-3)
    Squat jump 36-32-32
    Push up 14-17-18
    Burpee 11-15-13
    High knee 107-102-133
    Step lunge 22-20-23
    Tuck jump 14-17-17
    Straight abs 18-23-22
Some improvements this time around. Except for squat jumps. I think my form is much better now compared to when I started so that could be why I didn’t improve. Overall though, happy with the small improvements I’ve made here. I condensed the 30 day challenge into about two weeks because I wanted to catch up so that could also be a reason that I didn’t have as great of improvements as others. Still, happy that there are any improvements at all. Shows that all my hard work is paying off.

  • Lindseylinae

i didnt kill any of my numbers. only slightly increased. but i think that i do the workouts correctly now and at full strength! so thats hard to count. feels good. i am feeling strong! i have been very sick and have continued working out anyway, which was draining, but i didnt put full strength in until yesterday. im glad to be feeling a little better now, and much much, stronger! bodyrocking has changed my life!

You can’t give up!!! You are just getting started! These things take a lot of time. Especially if you are substantially out of shape. I have been bodyrocking for over a year and I still give in to temptations and skip workouts here and there. I don’t have the body that I want yet but I will never give up because it will only make me more unhappy later. You are working hard and you need to give yourself credit. You have come this far, just keep it up! This is not a quick fix, it’s a lifestyle change. It’s work!!!!

  • ZoeRocker

Well I’m a little behind but I finished the 30 day challenge. I started a couple days late cuz I was sick. I beat my scores yay!!

    1. Jump Squats- 43, 44, 49
    2. Push Ups- 20, 32, 35
    3. Burpees- 18, 18, 23
    4. High Knees- 145, 145, 145 (I guess that’s as fast as I can go!)
    5. Jump Lunges- 24, 31, 36
    6. Tuck Jumps-23, 32, 33
    7. Sit Ups- 20, 27, 29

That is as many push-ups as I have ever done, with proper form, in one go, in my life. Thank you Lisa, Freddy, and Sean!!! You guys not only help me rock my body but you rock my world!!

  • Gerri Lee Schafer

hahah …or a push up party….I’m going to keep doing them at work from now on…too rushed in the morning and I want to try and drop some fat that just won’t get off my sides…LOL…been there too long and doesn’t want to vacate…so I’m going to do skipping and maybe abs in the morning after my WO…didn’t after Maria trying to kill me this am though…LOL at 120 for the day and still have 2 hours left at work

  • Gerri Lee Schafer

thanks….it helps that I’m the boss at work….more of customer service/retail work, so a fair amount of down time with nothing to do some days…I do my PU’s in the wine fermentation room…no-one can see me there..hahaha

  • Chris Lee

       Hey Chris,

Watch that you aren’t over training…your body might be telling you to ease up a bit.  Sometimes more isn’t better dude.  Just a thought anyway.  I had to take a breather a while ago, it helped me recharge.

      Hi Chris,
Try not to feel frustrated about the Fit Test #3…I know the feeling. Actually I felt nervous to do it, because I wanted to outdo myself so bad, and then my scores came out lower than before. I did it on Friday before I left for vacation, so maybe I was a bit distracted, or maybe just tired from the week. But I’d like to give it another go this weekend and see if I can’t get my scores to where I hope they’ll land. That’s the beauty of this little 7 minute killer, we can come back to it as often as we want :) Here, you can see how my scores dropped (listed Fit Test 1, 2, 3):

      Squat Jumps: 30, 35, 37
      Push Ups: 25, 30, 28
      Burpees: 11, 12, 11
      High Knees: 90, 120, 120
      Jump Lunges: 30, 35, 28
      Tuck Jumps: 14, 17, 16
      Straight Abs: 23, 22, 21

My knees aren’t feeling the strongest since downhill skiing for three days so I plan to take it a bit easy till they feel back to normal.

i am feeling great today after doing an intense workout called hot booty firm up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkmcLQJDYy4

it is 20/20 intervals no breaks back to back exercises in  3 parts. It was a beast.  I repeated the whole thing, then did 20 minute speed rope.  the workout is good if you want a  break from equipment or are traveling. give it a try!

Hello lisa! Im a new bodyrocker and i tried your latest workout settingup my interval timer, which by the way is an ipod app. I set ti up 50secsper round, 10 rounds, with a 10 sec rest in between. Everyting went great, but my last round was with burpees, did i set it up properly???
By the way you are soooo cute! Love your videos!

Maria, you’re insane!  I just completed your wo in 27:40 for once through.  I was on the floor talking to myself.  I was cursing you out loud!  All those high knees…my hip flexors are toast.  I just can’t get over the fact that you did that circuit TWICE!

Thanks for the inspiration today.  Wasn’t quite ready to do my final fit test since the weekend was too much fun. Need to sweat out the demons a bit more I fear ;)  I think tomorrow will be the day.

    Thanks!
    Tiffany

    • MariaBjørgJepsen

PLEASE, I don’t want you to hurt yourself, my dear :) I am proud you pushed through and did it – thank you!!! I think my own hip flexors must have gotten immune to the movement, haha.

Lisa Marie I love your charisma, positivity and everything :) I know bad comments can bring you down but you also must know that you inspired thousand other people in just one month… I know that you feel that you are doing a good job and so do many other people that love your spirit :) Including me :)

I’m about to go and do the ZWOD number 1…but going to write down Maria’s and JessJN WO for the future….

    • MariaBjørgJepsen

      Enjoy your workout :)

    • Gerri Lee Schafer

All done, I can’t do one leg pistol squats, so I sub’ed in one leg SB dead lifts instead, 32.5 lb.  Took me 16:44.  I also did 12 minutes of 10/20 HKSing.

I’m going to start skipping every morning, so I’m moving my push ups out of my morning routine.  I will start doing them randomly through out the day, but will still do my extra 100 plus.

      • Gerri Lee Schafer

OK, my 100 PU’s are done at work….just dropped and did regular PU’s, sets of 20…still have 5 more hours at work…who knows, I might just add some more on…..    :-)

      • Anonymous

Hi gerri! took me 28 min 4 sec! on sunday! but I didn’t have to modify as I went. I can’t do pistols either so I do them inside my dip station so I can use my arms to assist.

        • Gerri Lee Schafer

haha, I’ve tried hanging onto everything, i just don’t have the flexibility anymore dammit!!!! It’s more frustrating to try and do them than it’s worth to me. I would just end up wearing my dip station if I tried your way….LOL

          • Anonymous

I know the feeling! ha ha! I don’t go below my knees, but was finding that when trying to do one leg squat my knee would travel in front of my toes, so if I stand inside my dip station, put my toe up against the bottom rail, then grab the rails at the back, slowly squat down, I can kind of get down to parallel, and then help myself back up. Then I don’t push my knee past my toes or fall over! lol

When I was a little kid they tried to teach us this move in figure skating, back then it was called shoot the duck. I couldn’t do it then either! lol I would just fall over backward!

            • Gerri Lee Schafer

hahah, I could do it in figure skating…skated until I was 12 years old…couldn’t afford it after that..oh well

See a lot of nice workouts on here… I will maybe workout tonight.. But It’s my bad first day of THE week of the month.. if you lady’s know what I mean.. ;D   That is my worst day.. So probably only the fittest for me..

  • Annebel Wind

    Hi guys,

Have something weird to share.. I was kind of frustrated over my diet.. Nothing seems to work. So I started eating some chocolate and bread every day.. And gess what I am loosing fat around my belly… How is that posible? any explenations?…. Think it’s really weird!

    • MariaBjørgJepsen

      Hey dear Annebel
I think we healthy people can become to focused and obsessed with our diets. If we can’t think of anything but perfect and “clean” eating, then it becomes the centre of our whole being. I was obsessed once, but not anymore. I won’t keep myself from eating anything, if I feel like it. It seems to me, that all temptations become oven more desirable, if you forbid yourself to enjoy them. I drink redwine and beer, eat cake and chocolate and even ham/cheese toast some days. I can still fit my clothes and I still see progress in my performance, energy level and in my mood. I almost always feel energized and happy. Of course, I also make sure I get my veggies and protein daily, but I just also allow myself to indulge. That way, I rarely overindulge and become “sick” because of it. I hope you can use my thoughts on this topic.
      Love, Maria.

      • MariaBjørgJepsen

Sorry for the minor spelling mistakes, I was in a hurry :)

      • Annebel Wind

        Thank you Maria,

I was just so surpriced… I wanted to lose my bellyfat soooo much.. And now I am letting go (a little bit) of my diet it just seems to happen.. I will still try to improve where I can.. But will keep your thoughts in mind.. Thanks..

      • Vivi

Of course you know that I totaly agree with you ;)

I have a glass of red wine about 3 nights a week & if I want chocolate once in a while, I have it.  My pants are loose, skin is clear, & my energy is high, so I know I’m doing alright!

  • MariaBjørgJepsen

Okaaaayyyy, friends, are you up for a little FUN torture today? No real Push-up Burpees, don’t worry :D I put together a fun circuit that you can go through as many times as you like. I did not use any rope in the High Knees.

Our Killer Maria of course ! So cute my dear to motivate us so much  ! hahaha

I feel so ridiculous now with my own workout of 12 min today ! lol !

        • MariaBjørgJepsen

NOOOOO, don’t feel ridiculous! They can be damn hard, as well!!! :)

          • Vivi

It is!! Because this morning my legs are so sore!!!I have difficulty to walk ! haha Today I’m a “cowboy” lol !!

            • MariaBjørgJepsen

haha, which 12-minute did you do yesterday? Today I did the 16-min.”Hot Right Now” again, I love it so much :)

ha ha!  this might take me the rest of the year! lol

    • http://www.janetspreiter.com Janet

Jeez…a high knees stairway to heaven or what, Maria??  A got a dip station yesterday and it is toooo small. It is a child’s size. Anyone on Maui need a mini dip station?

      • MariaBjørgJepsen

Aww, such a shame :( you must have been so excited to receive it, Janet! I find those high knees are great to turn on the sweat, ha ha. But I know it is much more intense with a rope!!!

        • Vivi

More intense, YES if you didn’t put your feet in the rope ! Nothing more irritating !! So sometimes I prefer High knees; so I ‘m sure to do it in proper form ! :p

      • Vivi

How you should be disapointed by that !! There’s no mistake ? you can’t return the product ?

        • http://www.janetspreiter.com Janet

I was so excited to have a new toy! Once I put it all together I realized how tiny it was. You would need to be about 5 feet tall to make use of it. I am able to return it but shipping is a large $ issue to Hawaii.

          • Anonymous

So it’s not the same dip station in use on this site then? because mine is a little tall for me! or did you order that equalizer? (It’s short) or something else entirely? Misstulz lives on Oahu and is only 5ft, maybe she’ll trade you! lol she has a youtube channel under that name and posts here occasionally! you never know!

          • Vivi

Of course the ship will be cheap !
Real bad for you ….:( Hope you will find a solution.

      • Chris__L

        Hi Janet,

Who did you buy it thru and how tall is it?

        –Chris

    • Gerri Lee Schafer

I made up a 900 rep WO about a week or so ago, used a jump rope though, and only did it once through…yes , you are now know as “Seven Of Nine” Maria…thanks for pushing us all!!!!!!!!!!!

      • MariaBjørgJepsen

You are more than welcome – YOU push me!!!!

    • Vivi

I will do it this week ! Why no Push up ?? Our “borg” has aches with yesterday’s 400??!!! lol ! Are you a little human so ???  :p

      • MariaBjørgJepsen

hahaha, YES, that’s why, honey bun :) I can’t recover everything in one night, like a robot! haha.

    • midimidi

i will do it too! thanks

      • MariaBjørgJepsen

        GREAT!!! Have fun :)

    • Gerri Lee Schafer

OK, It’s official, you’re WO is written in my journal for the morning.  I’m going to use a jump rope though.  Not sure if I’ll do it twice or not you crazy girl…will see how round one goes in the am

btw, I did another 100 PU’s at work, so a total of 10 sets of 20 regular PU’s today at work.

      • MariaBjørgJepsen

So cool, dear girlfriend :) Let me know how you did with the rope, haha.

        • Gerri Lee Schafer

I went into this WO thinking if I could do it in twice your time I was doing great….LOL….and it took me 19:50. I did use the jump rope, and 32.5 lb in my SB. the burpees I did without a PU, but I did jump up every time. The burpees and reverse PU slowed me down. My shoulders were tired by the end with all the skipping….next time I try this I think I’ll put the reverse PU’s at the beginning. Needless to say, I didn’t do 2 rounds. Gonna keep this one in my go to file for WO’s Maria, very nice job, thanks.

          • MariaBjørgJepsen

            NICE job :)

Hey Maria, this is on deck for me this weekend.  Thanks, looks like fun torture :)  Will let you know how I did!

    • BodyRocker_Bonnie

Maria’s Fun Torture Workout:  24:04 but DONE!!  I don’t know that I’ve done 1000 high knees in one workout before.  I used a 25lb SB, no rope, and jumped on the 1/2 burpees.  Thanks for the challenge, Maria!! :)   your times are amazing.

Afterburn….I did 5 sets of the following for 100 pushups & 100 abs:
20 military  pushups (narrow, hands close to body)
      10 swiss ball passes
      10 swiss ball crunches

      • MariaBjørgJepsen

I am glad you enjoyed it, sweetie :) GREAT effort!!!! Again, THANK YOU for the amazing present, I am so happy for it!!!
        MUCH Love, Maria

Hey Saucy :) Your comment made me so happy, I can’t describe it. THANK YOU!!!! I think I would be a little too shy for the camera, ha ha. I don’t know what my “secret” is, other than a good controlled breathing and speed – with as proper form as possible. But I do get a little out of breath, of course.
    Much love, Maria.

that’s so funny 1lvana! I always think of maria as BORG – 7 of 9! (star trek voyager) and she regenerates at night rather than sleeps like the rest of us! lol she’s awesome! I’m always awaiting her scores! will they be 1/2 mine (or double mine) or will they be 1/3 of mine (or triple mine!) I always try to guess but she usually outdoes even what I can guess!

        • MariaBjørgJepsen

You lovely women make me so happy, I can’t desribe it. I am grateful every day that I met you!!! If you really think of her, I’ll make her my new Avatar, haha :)

Since the new workout isn’t up yet, I made up an 18 min routine that I plan to do at lunch tomorrow.  Anyone else want to try it?

    Part 1 & 3
    10/30 X 6 = 4min

1-leg side hop + side kick, alternate sides
side burpee (no pushup) + knee tuck, alternate sides
reptile + leg lift (butt lift), alternate sides

    Part 2 & 4
3 min countdown, max reps of:
    10 jump lunges
    drop to plank & do a push-up
    roll over
    10 knee hugs
    roll over, hop to standing
    that’s a rep.

    • http://moveeatlivewell.blogspot.com/2012/01/jessicas-beginners-guide-to-bodyrocktv.html JessJN

      1/31/12
      Lunchtime workout

Who else lives in LA & loved the gorgeous day today?  I HAD to workout outside instead of in the little room I usually use.

      Part 1 & 310/30 X 6 = 4min
      1-leg side hop + side kick, alternate sides  17, 15 / 16  14
side burpee (no pushup) + knee tuck, alternate sides (I added a jump tuck in the 3rd round) 9  7.5 / 7*  7* with jump tuck*
      reptile + leg lift (butt lift), alternate sides 14  12 / 13  14

      Part 2 & 4 – I omitted the roll overs because I was working out on grass.  In round 4, I did 2 push-ups, not 1
3 min countdown, max reps of:
      10 jump lunges
      drop to plank & do a push-up
      10 knee hugs
      get up
      that’s a rep.

      Part 2: 4 + 3 jump lunges
      Part 4: 4 exactly (with 2 push-ups)

This was fun!  I took it easy on push-ups because I’m a little sore from the weekend.  Add more to the time challenge or side burpees or reptiles if you want a more intense workout.  :)

Great workout song: Burn it down by AWOLNATION. :)

  • Erin Dawson

My husband and I are doing this together and we came into it completely out of shape. We had to take 20 second rest periods between each exercise instead of 10 .  So the first fit test we did was with 20 second rest and our final is with 10 seconds, which already speaks volumes! My scores (first/last):  Squat Jump: 14, 28; Push Up 20, 25; High Knees: 96/117; Burpees: 8/8; Switch Lunge 15/22; Sit Ups: 22/23; Tuck Jumps: 22/30. We both feel so much better and have more stamina through workouts and take more care with our diet. Love Bodyrock!

  • Anonymous

Yaay! I did the final fit test yesterday and today I accomplished to do my first proper push up all the way to the ground!!! I’m so proud of myself! :D ..and proud of all of you, too. :) THANK YOU!

    2) Push Up: 25, 32, 32

Dear BR team, you do an excellent job here, people around the globe shpuld be more than greatful/ what what you do. I wasnt able to follow all your exercise precisly as my floor is very slippery and my feet go all directions and I do not have yet fitness shoes. Anyway, I would like to ask you if you can add kangoo jumps exercise, as Santa brought me those and I would be happy to follow here a challenge or some exercises. Thanks for considering my suggestion. Anca/Spain

      • MariaBjørgJepsen

Yes, it really does :) Thank you so much, sweetheart, your support means everything to me. I do feel a little sore in my chest and abs today, ha ha :)

  • Brian

    In order 1st, 2nd, last
    Squats 30-41-35
    Push ups 31-40-29
    Burpees 18-20-20
    High knees 136-138-157
    Switch lunges 43-83-78
    Tuck jumps 31-60-45
    Straight abs 20-25-25

Pathetic! I beat my first week scores but not second fit test score. I know the reason. Last week we had Australia day(public holiday), my wife’s birthday the next day and dinner/theatre the following day. I drank more alcohol in those 3 days than I normally would in a whole month! I also wasn’t as strict with my nutrition as I usually am. It has taken it’s toll. I seldom let things go like that, so I won’t beat myself up about it, back to my usual healthy routine now though.

  • lUcY

    nice, my score was :D
    -26.30.36
    -13.17.21
    -10.13.12
    -80.130.152
    -20.33.41
    -15.16.25
    -13.17.18
    yeahh!
I lost around 1-2cm in my body measures, except my arms (biceps) I have 1cm more of muscle ;D

Today I made a workout out of a bonus round I made up a few weeks ago.  It was fun & a great whole body cardio workout.  19 min total, not including warm up & cool down.

    12 rounds 10/50sec
jump squat forward/backward over fitball, pick up ball & do a 180 degree jump squat (see “bombshell butt” workout)  8  10  9
    push-up off swiss ball 17  13  13
2 mtn climbers on ball + 1 jump-lunge with ball held in front of chest 14  11.5  11
    reverse plank knee tuck  33  29  25

2 min countdown, max reps of:
2 commando pushup + a knee tuck (alternate), roll over on mat, jump into a squat & do 6 side lunge jumps with fitball.  Drop to plank, roll over.  That’s a rep.  I did 5 + 2 commando push ups

    Abs 5 rounds 10/50
fitball russian twist bicycle 51 (each switch = 1)
running man abs 21 (very hard after the above move)
    lying leg lifts 17
    fit ball sit up 14
fit ball crunch (ball on ankles, feet in air & knees bent 90 degrees) 23

Now I’m off to see Cirque Du Solei’s Michael Jackson show :)

  • Cindy

    Thanks!

Regarding negative comments about Lisa, just ignore them. We are used to seeing Zuzana, Freddy and Sean, but situation has changed, and that doesn’t mean we should become bitter. Life happens, and just like we got used to Zuzana, we will get used to seeing Lisa and other BRTV hosts. Yes it takes time, but we’ll get there. We should stay supportive of everything they’re doing and stay positive and motivating community of people who have decided to change their lives for better. Both Freddy and Zuzana have always put positivity first, so now is not the time to start acting differently.

Lisa you are amazing, your energy is contagious, and it is great to see someone who is passionate about fitness, health and well being of others! Rock on girl! :)

I still love Zuzana, but that doesn’t undermine the effort or my respect and gratitude for everything Freddy and BRTV team have done to keep this going for us. Thanks to everyone!! :)

Happy Sunday all, did the fit test this morning.  I posted that I didn’t think I could improve much from my reps last time I did this, and I was right.  On some things, that’s just how fast this oldish body can move LOL….did improve a bit on a few though.  Felt good this morning.  Should have waited and done this for my first WO of the week to get a true comparison though…both times before it was my first WO of the week, not number 6.  New reps first, Jan 17 second Jan 3 third.  warmed up with 100 jump rope

    1/ jump squat            44   -   45   -   45.5
    2/ push ups               46   -   42   -   36
    3/ burpee                  16   -   17   -   15
    4/ high knees            161   -   157   -   139
    5/ jump lunge             63   -   60   -   50
    6/ jump knee tucks     63   -   62   -   50
    7/ ab crunch              23   -   22   -   15

For some reason my exercise pants tried to fall off during the jump knee tucks…LOL…it was hard to not break out laughing…but I kept at it and they were half way down my butt at the end…guess I shouldn’t have thrown out the draw string….

    my extras this morning

    100 HKS – 25 dip station knee raises – 25 reptile PU
100 HKS – 25 dip station side thrust knee raises – 25 reverse PU
    100 HKS – 25        ”         knee raise/split – 25 knee tuck PU
    100 HKS – 25         “                “             – 25 decline PU

Ok, I think it’s high time Lisa told us more about her tattoos, isn’t it? :D
Who agrees? :) Maybe we should vote here and if this question gets high number of YES answers than they have to make a short video of it, or a post. :) )What do you guys think?

Thank you for that pep-talk Lisa (and Freddy and Sean, since I know you’re behind what she says as well)!!!!  You’re soo right.  It’s so hard to turn off that critical voice in your head, but I’ve noticed that I see larger differences in myself when I stop paying attention to every little detail on a day-to-day basis and only check in from time to time – it also helps when you have a full length mirror with lots of room behind it so that YOU can see yourself from afar and see what others see.  If you spend all your time up close and personal with the mirror, then you can become fixated on all the little flaws.  If you literally, step back, you will almost always think you look better. And once you do, it’s amazing how liberated you can feel when you stop wondering what you look like – the bikini is no longer your enemy!

Lisa-Marie, I just wanted to say I love your workouts.  I don’t mind the 12 different exercises just because I know that it is only shocking my muscles more which helps burn more calories.  I know a lot of people have been putting them down but I like them.  I hope your having a great weekend off. :)

  • Jill Hobbs

Lisa Marie, I really liked your candid “Love Yourself” video. It’s great to see hear someone promoting being healthy and loving yourself. It’s also great to hear that someone like you has insecurities about body image occasionally. I think you look more gorgeous than Cameron Diaz.

  • Anonymous

i don’t mean to be a downer, but these new workouts just aren’t doing it for me and i find them discouraging. i’ve been doing a lot of the older workouts lately and alternating between those and some of the new ones. i miss all of the old moves and exercises. they were simple and highly effective. there’s too much going on in the new workouts and i’m not getting the same kind of muscle burn as i do with the older workouts. i really miss Zuzanna and wish she would come back. sorry. just being honest.

    • yboog

Im sorry you feel this way…
You can go to her youtube page and do her W/O or continue to do the old ones…there are soooo many….
      but like Lisa said…
she can only be herself, and her W/Os are different.
      Can’t please everyone.

Sean Connery IS James Bond.  He was the first, the original, he set the standard and there is nothing that can be done to change that.  He will always be James Bond to many.  Others came along, disliked by some and liked by others that was inevitable.  But over time a few came along that made the role their own.  They brought a new style, a different demention, and soon they were the “new James Bond”.  Revel in the 98% that love this site and are changed by your work and a small piece of advice, save a day for JUST you.  Don’t answer email, tweets or anything else. Relax and spend the day on you. You all deserve it!

Hah, I laughed so hard at the first 2 min of your video ‘Loving Yourself’.. Your hair clearly has an attitude.” Haha!

I never really compare my body to others, because I’m really happy with it. I love my legs, my butt, my hair is rubbish but its natural colour is amazing. My belly is gone now and I’m seeying definition, I seriously adore my arm & shoulders!! Never expected that to happen really, but I love the muscles! I just wish I had better teeth, haha! Well, if thats all, then I’m quite happy really.

I do compare my work and social life allot to others! I do need to work on that more and thats basicly the same route as when you ‘body-compare’.

    Todays “word”: That INNER GLOW!

    Fit Tests
    First/Second/Today:

    Squat Jumps: 31 / 32 / 34
    Push-Ups: 20 / 19 / 24
    Burpees: 14 / 16 / 16 (today I accidentally added a tuck jump to some :-) )
    High Knees: 122 / 150 / 147
    Switch Lunges: 30 / 40 / 50
    Tuck Jumps: 30 / 45 / 50
    Straight Abs: 16 / 17 / 18

And that even though I had two glasses of wine yesterday, feeling it today… I am amazed how my stamina has improved – those jumping exercise-scores in the second half have improved so much!

I’ve been here for every single workout of this challenge, posted scores and other tidbits. I just want to let you know that I will probably not be as active on the site for a while anymore, but I am there “in the background”, one of the silent types, doing all your workouts and loving it! I can’t wait for what you have lined up for us, but now I will go and enjoy the weekend and celebrate the accomplishments!

    Best to all of you!

Congrats! Same here on being “in the background” haha. Love the improvements. Cheers!

You are such an enthusiastic person and I wish I had that kind of energy. This bodyrock team works so hard for everyone, and so much work gets put into these videos, you guys are all such wonderful people. Thank you for your hard work. Love,Donna

did the fit test this morning, not much improvement probably due to still lingering cold and lack of sleep due to my husband having it now and keeping me awake half the last 3 nights! lol  old scores in ( ) I only did this at beginning of month and again today.

    squat jump – 34 (30)
    pushups – 17 (16)
    burpees – 10 (9)
    high knees 154 (140)
jump lunges (no jumping either time) – 26 (24)
    jump tucks – 44 (22)
    straight abs – 15 (14)

so it seems my aerobic capacity is better, after doing the jump tucks I couldn’t breathe to do the sit ups! lol

I did all your workouts except two, and I didn’t do the repeats.  I did do 28 workouts in the 27 days so far this month. (not counting the pushup parties!)  the week after christmas I managed to gain 5.5 lbs and so far this month I managed to get it all off plus an extra lb, my measurements are almost exactly the same.

In the last year since dec. 31, 2010  I have dropped 18.5 lbs.  lost 1.25 inches off bust, 2.5 inches just above waist, 1.75 inches at waist, 3 inches just below waist, 2 inches off hips, 2.75 inches off right thigh, and 2 inches off left thigh,  last time I was this size was 2001 – I weighed 5.5lbs less than I do now but my measurements are almost the same.  so I’m thinking that means I must be leaner with more muscle, right?

    • Gerri Lee Schafer

hey Tee, my one year weigh in and tape measure is Feb 4….not sure I’ll see much change in the numbers, but I’m definitely leaner and fitter…yes muscles weigh more than fat, but take up way less room for the same #’s….did that make sense?

  • ZoeRocker

Lisa, you are so cute and lovely! I wish I had YOUR body!!!!

I saw this one coming, so I did the workout earlier today. Here are my results from the first, second and final fit tests…

    Squat Jump: 35 / 44 / 50
    Push Ups: 5 / 13 / 17
    Burpees: 18 / 24 31
    High Knees: 128 / 166 / 173
    Switch Lunges: 22 / 31 / 38
    Tuck Jumps: 16 / 23 / 28
    Straight Abs: 16 / 21 / 27

I’m so proud of my improvement! Despite taking an entire week off after the second fit test to recovery from having my wisdom teeth surgically removed, I still saw results. Every little bit counts!I posted about all of my Bodyrock workouts on my blog at Bee Goes Bananas (dot com). Here is my final fit test post…http://www.beegoesbananas.com/2012/01/finish-line.html
