Fight For Fit!

Hi BodyRockers,

There has been a lot going on over on Facebook lately (you can find us here). We smashed through 400k fans a few days ago and we are having some pretty interesting ahem… debates most days about body image, self esteem, fitness and everything else. Social media is tough because although there are tens of thousands of positive, happy people out there, there are also those that seem to be confused about how the whole “Like” button thing works. These people compete to try to win the “Grumpy Gus” award but we keep on BodyRocking right over top of them :) We could use some more sunshine over there so if you have a second come on over and get on our team – we love to hear from you guys and the more positive, happy people the better!

On a side note we have figured out a format that will deliver you guys the Real-Time workouts that you love in a video that should clock in at about 4 minutes in length total. We will film 1 full round of the workout that you can do in real time. When you get to the end just hit replay and it will start again. We are starting our coffee talk videos again, but we will post those separately so we can have our hang out and check in with you guys without disrupting the workout videos and making those too long. We feel like this is a great compromise that should work for everyone. Look for this new format in a day or two.

Speaking of coffee talks – what do you guys want to chat about? Let us know in the comments and we can start getting a conversation with you rolling. It’s been too long since we last caught up with you guys and we love to hear from you.

Thats it really. Talk soon – do your friggin workout and get our backs on the Facebook page here. We could use your help out there!

Best,

Lisa, Freddy, Sean & Hales.

Rep challenge was rough for me…anyone else?  Now I’ve gotta go help coach my daughter’s bball team with jello arms and legs.

How many reps do you do for each exercise in the 420 and 1000 Rep challenge?

I absolutely love you guys! Your workouts keep me motivated and coming back for more! I’m on track to lose another 30# and you have helped me tone and gain muscle mass while losing. I love that the workouts are short and sweet, but I FEEL challenged and I’m dripping with sweat so I feel accomplished. Thank you!

I’d be curious to hear everyone’s opinions on protein satiety and protein function in the diet.

Question about the 1000 rep workout– there are really 11 exercises (2 number #2s), so how many rounds of how many reps? Thanks :)

You solved the mystery. I was sure looking at how they were numbered but not actually counting the exercises. I even went on Facebook and asked Lisa how many reps. So basically the first 10 exercises there are 50 reps each exercises and the 50 high jump skips, got it. Yup doing this tomorrow morning! Get it in!!!!

Eat at least 5 small meals a day that include protein and lots of veggies. For example: Breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, mid-afternoon snack, dinner. You may include an evening snack as long as it is light, like a piece of fruit. Only eat carbs like rice, pasta, breads, granola and oatmeal in the early part of the day so you have time to burn it off, and drink 2 litres (8 cups) of water every day. Make sure you get in at least one 12 minute routine a day and stretch after or you’ll be super sore. Lisa Marie has a TON of diet tips and meal ideas to try on her FB page. There are also tons of body rockers out there to help you. Welcome to the team!!

It does not matter for me if it is real time or not, I am just thankful you guys are here.

I am glad you are doing real time again.  I personally like it when you film the full 3 rounds or challenges and see the hosts struggling right along with me.  They won’t have that struggle on only 1 round.  But you guys are still awesome and I appreciate the workouts never the less.

today my internet wasnt working well and when I wanted to come to this page it didn’t let me and it almost scared me you guys closed it down b/c of the controversy! My heart skipped!!! Anyways I am happy you’re here!! I think the 4 min real time video is a great idea. I would love to hear you talk about how to deal with lack of motivation and what you do as hobbies, etc? :P

Yay coffee talks! How about a little chat about nutrition and diet? Do you guys count calories? How many meals do you eat a day? How many times a week do you guys work out? What’s your least favorite move (mine is pistol squats – can’t do them…grrrrrr)?

I’m gonna mash up all of these and do one big round. :D
