Avoid “Twat Creep”

“You are the average of the 5 people that you spend the most time with”

– Tim Ferris

When you have let someone pull you through a meat grinder and have resolved not to repeat the experience, you tend to become outspoken when you see other people around you getting set to throw themselves down a similar set of stairs. Good people fall pray to absolute twats every day – and when you have witnessed enough family and friends get dragged down emotional rat-holes you reach a point where it’s time to say enough is enough.

The bottom line is that we all need people around us that support our goals and our overall wellbeing. There is a really simple, easy to administer test that you can perform to see if the people you have around you make the cut. Ask yourself if you feel good when you are around them and when you leave their company. If you don’t then you have your answer. If it’s a mixed jumble of emotions you probably need to step away.

Each of us has the absolute power to choose with whom we associate. If you spend time with negative, angry, abusive or toxic people it will weaken you. People with low expectations for their lives tend to be the ones that are the most voracious in ridiculing and belittling the dreams of others. We all deserve better.

Avoid “twat creep” in your life. I believe in giving everyone a chance to prove that they are not arse-holes. If they cross the line then vote with your feet and make the break. No need for drama, just be busy when they call. Let’s make a stand for basic decency in our lives and in our relationships with others – be strong – you are not alone!

This looks like a fantastic workout, I’ll be doing this one after work this evening.

Great workout. Lisa should be a fortune teller, because my muscles were screaming! hahah. I find the reverse pull ups so hard, I can do 8 the first round but then it gets harder and harder, i can barely do 4.
I usually just don’t involve negative people in my life. Usually I don’t like them from the start, I don’t know why at first and then i realize it’s because of their negativity.

Lisa I left you a comment on youtube saying you have beautiful feet! Maybe that sounds strange but I appreciate a good set of nice feet that are well taken care of. This s the first time I’ve seen you work out without your trainers. I always do and I like it better. I just feel lighter. How do you like it?

Also, I have dumped so many negative people out of my life in the last couple of years. I realized I was just an emotional punching bag. I kept making excuses for everyone and their situations, but I finally realized that they were using me as their crutch and not much else. I just wasn’t feeling good when I was around them or when I wasn’t around them. Perhaps I was also in a bad state of affairs as well. Long story short, I got rid of all the people I felt were not there for me for the right reasons and carried on.

Funny thing is, my renewed sense of self confidence and positivity directly coincides with my beginning as a BodyRocker. This site has changed me inside and out. I wish I knew you guys personally so I could say I have a wicked group of friends! But you’ll have to do as my internet friends that keep me going everyday in a positive way.

Also, your post about moving and travelling to keep your life interesting hit a nerve too. My boyfriend and I are leaving to travel all over SE Asia, Australia and New Zealand on January 15th. We have worked our asses off for this and we just want to experience life the way it is on the other side. Of course we will be bringing an iPad or some device we can hook up the internet to. Mostly because I need to have you guys with me on my trip!!! I will be smashing this workout today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I feel like a new person every time I finish a workout. I love it!!!

    BODYROCK IS THE BEST!!!!
