There was a mixed reaction to the announcement that Ben Affleck would be the next Batman, but it’s clear that whatever the fans may think, Ben Affleck is already transforming his body to play Batman. The 41-year-old Good Will Hunting star revealed his rippling muscles in a tight white shirt as he took his oldest daughter Violet to the Brentwood Country Mart on Thursday.
And a lot has changed! Last year Ben looked out of shape as he showed off his physique on a family holiday.
Affleck was a controversial choice for the part of DC Comics-based film when it was announced in August that he would follow in the footsteps of Christian Bale, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Michael Keaton to play the Caped Crusader in the 2015 movie, but driector Zack Snyder defended the decision.
‘Ben provides an interesting counterbalance to Henry’s Superman, He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.’
