10 Great Online Resources to Getting Fit

There are many ways to get fit, but a lot of time it is hard finding just the right resources that you may need to motivate you or to help keep you on track. Below are a few great well-known resources to ulitize in order to reach your health and fitness goals! Woman in yoga wheel pose with laptop.
  1. Use MyFitnessPal. I mean, really use it. Don't just sign up to chat in the forums-log all of your food and drinks into your daily diary to keep track of your calories and your goals.
  2. Join a DietBet Game. If you lose at least 4% of your starting weight, you will win money. No lie. What better motivation than this?
  3. Muscle & Fitness Hers. I love this magazine! Sure, you can read free stuff all day long, but I am the type of person who likes seeing something in my hands and holding a tangible object. However, they do offer some free articles to skim through.
  4. BodyRockTV. Come on, of course you knew we were going to be on the list! Who can argue with free home workouts?
  5. Pinterest's Health & Fitness Category. Yup. Ointerest is good for practically everything you can think of.. including getting fit!
  6. BodyBuilding.com. I love this site because it is an all-in-one. You can purchase supplements, check out meal plans, and see a breakdown of every exercise there is. Plus, they have some great articles, too.
  7. YouTube. YouTube has become my best friend lately. You can watch workouts for free and even watch meal prepping if you do not know how to. There are also some videos on there that can teach you how to make some tasty healthy snacks and meals.
  8. Life Fitness Virtual Trainer. Designed to link exercisers and equipment, the Life Fitness Virtual Trainer website recommends individual workout plans and tracks exercise progress. This is a handy dandy little app that you can use at the gym!
  9. Yoga Download. I have been doing Yoga Download for almost 6 months now and I am so in love! You do have to pay a big  monthly, but you get access to unlimited yoga class downloads and there's even an app for it so you can take your yoga anywhere!
  10. SparkPeople. Spark People has been around for a while, just like My Fitness Pal. Their mission is to spur everyday people into action and improve their health. This free site advocates transitioning from a diet mindset to a permanent healthy lifestyle and to be honest, I like it a whole lot better. The site has the community aspect, allowing you to talk on message boards and join teams, as well as tons of nutrition, fitness and health content.
