10 Non-Sex Things That Are Way More Fun To Do Naked

If you haven’t tried at least a few of these, you’re really missing out.
There are some things in life that absolutely require clothes. If you’re cooking with oil, for example, you should at least wear an apron. Riding a bike, walking outside to get the mail, doing any sort of home or car repair — you really need a fabric barrier between your bare skin and the rest of the world in situations like these. But there are also times in which clothes are not only unnecessary, but an actual impediment to your happiness and joy. That’s because certain things are far more enjoyable when you’re totally naked, as Redditor 31theories recently discovered by posing the question “Besides sex, what is more fun when you are naked?” on Reddit. Most of the answers were pretty silly (“Beekeeping,” really? Something tells me not to believe you…), but there were a few that I definitely agree with:

1. Swimming

“First time skinny dipping is a pretty freeing experience…”

2. Couch Time

“… Just sitting on the [couch] watching Netflix and drinking wine.”

3. Slipping Between Clean Sheets

“Getting into a newly made bed with fresh, clean sheets.” “Right after taking a shower.” “With freshly shaved legs, too.”

4. Sleeping

“Sleeping naked is the best sleep you will ever have.” It’s also healthier for you, too! Sleeping naked has been shown to help with weight management, boost circulation, and combat insomnia. Reading the Reddit thread inspired my coworkers and I to come up with our own (pretty silly) answers as well:

5. Sexting

Sending a dirty text becomes so much hotter when you’re undressed for the occasion. It just doesn’t feel the same when you do it in between folding towels in your sweats.

6. Yoga

It’s surprisingly freeing. Just save the naked yoga sessions for your home-alone time, otherwise you will be asked to leave the class and never return. Just trust me on that one.

7. Cocktail Hour

You’ve got a drink in your hand, you’re free of your restrictive underwear shackles — what’s not to love?

8. Cuddling with Your S.O.

That skin-to-skin contact is important for bonding in a relationship. It releases oxytocin, otherwise known as the cuddle hormone. So ditch those pajamas and start spooning!

9. Dancing

If you want an immediate mood boost, go to your room, close the door, take off all your clothes, put on your favorite song, and go wild. You won’t regret it… well, you might regret it if you don’t lock the door and someone barges in, or you dance in front of a window that looks into another apartment. Just take all necessary precautions before letting your freak flag fly, okay?

10. Eating Ice Cream

Combine this with Netflix and the couch and you’ve got me-time to its fullest potential.
