24 Hour Challenge: Put Down Your Cell

All too often, we lose sight of how to balance our lives. We spend too much time at work, and not enough time at home. Or if we’re at home, we’re glued to our phones and not really present in our lives. As a result, our healthy lifestyle suffers. After all, health does not mean you give your all to one part of your life. You’ve got to move around, see and do new things. You’ve got to balance. Whoever said that routine is the enemy of progress was absolutely right. Our challenge to you is this: Put your cell phone aside for 1 day. That’s just 24 hours. If your cell phone is your only means of communication (i.e. you don’t have a landline) only use it to answer or make important calls. Don’t use apps, or play games, or engage in idle texting. Look up, and look around. Perspective is a beautiful thing, and it’s hard to get any when our faces are glued to a screen. Up to the challenge? If anyone can do it, it’s you guys!
