Good morning, BodyRockers!
Today, it was 20 degrees here in Destin, Florida (who would have thought?) and all of the roads were iced over and closed so I stayed inside for the entire day, which is probably a good idea since I was up all of last night with contractions. 5 days till my due date and I am feeling more and more tired than I usually am. It looks like showtime is near, guys!
For part of my light activity today, I walked up and down my staircase in my home just to get moving a bit since I won't be going anywhere. I mainly took the day to rest up and prepare my body for baby's arrival.
For my diet, I wanted something warm and comforting since its icy outside.
Breakfast: Banana nut oatmeal; this is my own little personal recipe where I use 1/2 cup of steel cut oats, half a banana, a handful of pecans, 1/2 cup of coconut almond milk by Almond Breeeze, and a dash of cinnamon. For sweetness, I add a tsp of coconut palm sugar if needed. Microwave for 2.5 minutes (or less if you like yours mushier).
Lunch: Homemade beef pad thai. I love Thai food!
Dinner: Meditteranean Baked Salmon from the BodyRock diet plan. I also made the base quinoa salad as a side-also from the plan as well!
Snacks: 3 Boiled eggs for my mid-morning snack. Mid-noon snack was homemade hummus from the plan with homemade wheat pita chips to go along with it!
Tomorrow, I will continue with the gym if the roads are open. Cant wait for day #12! Almost halfway through this!
