Day 14 Today's workout was completely different than any other day so far. Instead of a Hiit workout we did dance and yoga. I was a little shocked when I saw how different today was but excited too because I like trying new and different workouts. I started my day with a bowl of oatmeal, I'm still following the meal plan with a few modifications to make it vegan friendly. After the oatmeal my body was properly fueled and I was ready to take on Day 14. Part 1: Dance I felt like I was a cheerleader again learning this dance. I was a cheerleader in college and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. I learned each move and was able to put it together. At the end of learning the dance I doubt I looked as good as the instructor did but I still felt good about it. I like learning dance routines because you have to engage your mind and your body. You can't just go through the motions, you have to count and make sure you are doing the move correctly. Part 2: Yoga This yoga exercise felt so good this morning, my body needed a good stretch and that's exactly what I got. My muscles needed this since they have been on overdrive since the beginning of this 30 day Challenge. I found this yoga routine relaxing and calming, I was able to focus on each move and breathe into each stretch as well. Today was a fun change from the rest of this Challenge, it felt good to work my muscles differently but now I am ready for a hardcore workout from Melissa, my body is all rested up and ready to go.
