30 Day Challenge: Day 22- I really miss the GYM

My fitness journey started in my garage and I will never forget that. I was never able to get through a 12 minute workout because I found them very hard. I used to be terrified of the gym because I had no idea what I was doing. The truth it I am not that person anymore and I love the gym. I love challenging myself and picking up weights that are too "big" for a girl. I am inspired by the people who are around me and truly thrive off of the competitive environment. I love the gym, a gym, any gym. I think its great to start challenges and finish them but it doesn't stop there. You have to find new way to challenge yourself, it makes you feel empowered. Alright back to Day 21/22. Yesterday I decided that I would dance my heart out and stretch in place of the posted workout. Boy did it feel wonderful to just feel and move to the music. Day 22: I love weights! I have 30 lbs in my sandbag right now and it had me burning. I found the ab twist the most challenging because of the weight I am using and I also have a very prominent diastasis recti. If you don't know what that is one of our fellow bloggers has written of the topic here.. Healing Diastasis Recti Along with my diastasis recti I have also had to have surgery in that area because of an umbilical hernia that was cause by the tearing in my abdominal wall. My point is that is has taken me a long time to do ab intense exercises and they can be quite painful at times. I pushed through this time but I will be using a 10 lbs medicine ball when I revisit this workout. Food Diary:
  • Protein Shake and Oatmeal
  • Asparagus and Chicken
  • Broccoli Salad and Chicken
  • Apple and Almonds
I felt full of energy today and made sure to drink lots of water as well. I hope you guys enjoyed this workout as much as I did :)
