Hi BodyRockers!

Today makes day 8 of the 30 Day BodyRock Challenge. At first, I contemplated whether or not to do this challenge because my first thoughts were "I'm pregnant. I won't see a difference." But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it could possibly greatly influence how  I bounce back after birth. So, I went for it! I had an off day from the gym today. Instead, I cleaned the house, shopped for groceries, washed the dishes, did the laundry, and made sure the nursery was complete and ready to go. Hospital bags are packed as well! While grocery shopping, I found some new products to try and add into my postpartum diet plan. For a sugar substitute, I decided to try out the Coconut Palm Sugar! Another goody that I decided to try is the Cinnamon Raisin flavored Ezekiel Bread! I am a huge fan of Ezekiel, but I have yet to try this flavor. My diet today was as follows: Breakfast: Flour-less waffles. I used the flour-less pancake recipe from the BodyRock's 30 Day Challenge Guide and added in some pecans & cinnamon. I also ate a side of fresh grapefruit. Lunch: Teriyaki Salmon on a bed of spinach with a side of homemade sweet potato chips. For the chips, I sliced a sweet potato, drizzled it with olive oil, and sprinkled a bit of garlic powder & pepper on the top before I baked them. Dinner: Balsamic grilled chicken breasts with a side of sesame asparagus & brown rice. Snacks: Mid-morning snack was a banana, kale, & spinach smoothie. Mid-noon snack was a serving of plain Greek yogurt mixed with a tbsp of almond butter. Workouts: Rest Day (more like nesting haha!) for the most part!   fruit-leather
