I was sort of shocked this morning when I found out today was a rest day. We just had a rest day on Sunday but since yesterday’s workout was so intense I decided today I would focus on my diet and rest my muscles.
I opened my Catching Fire: 30 Day Challenge meal plan and decided to start my day with some oatmeal, I tend to have oatmeal every morning because I feel it sustains me for countless hours. I added pecans, cinnamon, banana and a little bit of almond milk to my oatmeal. I like to use the recipes given to me from the guide and also create my own that are a little different.
I’m a vegan so I do have to modify some of the recipes to be vegan friendly but it’s not too hard. For lunch I had a green papaya salad with tomatoes, green beans, peanuts and a vinaigrette dressing. I found the salad very satisfying at the time due to the peanuts, but by the time I got home from work, about two hours after lunch, I was starving.
I made myself a protein smoothie for a snack. I used 1 banana, ½ cup frozen organic mango, 1 scoop of vanilla chai Vega protein powder and 1 ½ cups of almond milk. Vega protein powder is all plant based and doesn’t have any added sugar so it has become my favorite protein powder. I blended my smoothie for about 1-2 minutes and it was ready. It was simple to make and totally hit the spot.
I have also been trying to increase my water intake during the Challenge; I have been bringing my own water bottle to work and refilling it as often as I can to stay hydrated. I believe my diet and the amount of water I drink during this 30 day Challenge greatly helps my results.

Returns & Exchanges
We offer a 30-day return policy, as long as: it is not more than 30 days past the date of delivery; and your item is in its original condition and packaging with the original order number. Refunds will be issued when the equipment is received back to the BodyRock warehouse, minus the original cost of shipping, and the customer is responsible for the costs of return shipping. To request a refund on physical product purchases, please contact us.
We cannot issue refunds on digital goods such as e-books or videos, as these are non-tangible goods that are irrevocable once the order is placed.
