30 Day Challenge | Pamela: Day 7 - Room To Breathe

Amazingly enough, today I was woken up by my alarm. If you've read my prior day's logs, you will recall that I'm usually up long before my alarm because of back pain. But today, I slept all the way to 4:30am... but I also woke up exceptionally tired! I think the last few days of waking up early are catching up with me. Since I was so tired this morning, I decided to take it a bit easy during my workout... hence the title of today's post. If you're ever having one of those days where you just feel like you need to workout with less intensity or just plain need to take a break, then listen to your body and do it. Your body knows best. Today's title also refers to my pants... they're beginning to fit like they did before my wedding and the holidays! Yay! They're slowly becoming looser and so I feel like I've got some breathing room again. I refuse to buy larger size clothing if I gain weight and instead adjust my eating and exercise to get back to where I should be.

The workout

Find the workout video along with a workout breakdown and warm-up/cool down videos for day 7 here. Today's workout was perfect for taking it a bit easy. The moves were very close to traditional strength training moves and I just took my time with them and made sure to concentrate on working the individual muscles really good. Day 7

Modifications

The only modification I made was to the single leg deadlifts. I turned them into regular deadlifts to prevent straining my back.
