5 Reasons To Love Bad Lip Reading

My favourite Youtube channel is Bad Lip Reading (BLR). It shows clips of films, TV programs, music videos and events where the real words have been replaced with what it looks like the people were saying if you couldn't hear them...and it's awesome! With over 3.5 million subscribers, it's clear that I'm not the only one who thinks so! I first got into the channel when I found this video shared on Facebook: I don't know anyone who doesn't at least chuckle a little inside when they watch that clip... "An orange peanut? Well I accept you."

What's so great about BLR?

5. They don't care about being politically correct

The reason a lot of the clips are so funny is because they just don't care about what they say; if that's what the lips look like they're saying, then it gets said. I love that! There are even clips where President Barack Obama appears to say absurd things, it's hilarious! No harm is intended; it's just great fun. Wobama After all, where else would you see the President of the United States of America appear to say "trick the bridesmaid to get her to take it off"!?

4. The clips give songs a new meaning

BLR regularly upload clips of music videos with the words changed to how they appear when you are lip reading, and it's amazing how much it changes the songs...it can even make some of them better! Obviously Michael Buble's work needs no improvements, but BLR's version of this song is brilliant.  3. You don't have to be into the programs that the video clips are about

I know this may shock some of you, but I've never seen any Twilight films...sorry if that is the equivalent of swearing to you. Anyway, I have no idea what Twilight films are about (other than vampires), but I still LOVE the clips on BLR. The Hunger Games...

They provide you with some awesome quotes  The things that are said in all of the clips are hilarious; mostly because none of them actually make any sense. For example, with President Obama's clips, the things he appears to say are some of the things he's least likely to ever say! One of my favourite video clips on BLR is the Game of Thrones Medieval land fun-time world trailer. One clip involves Cersei Lannister talking to Sansa Stark, and it almost made me spit out my drink when I heard what they said to each other!

Cersei: "Do you trust toothpaste?"

Sansa: "Yeah, I think it's alright."

Cersei: "Go have your butt checked."

All of the video clips are packed with crazy things like that, and I think it's brilliant.

There are countless clips and photos shared through social media every day with the intention of making us all laugh; some of them do, but some of them provoke more of a "that's the sort of joke my Dad would make" response. BLR is, without question, the funniest thing I've seen on any social media site so far. Every video clip they upload has me giggling uncontrollably. Even just photos of the clips have me in hysterics! I challenge you to spend ten minutes looking through the Bad Lip Reading channel without laughing.
