5 Steps to Feeling Body Proud

Do you want to boost your Fat Melting potential and be set to hit the beach this summer feeling fit and sexy? It's about this time of year when we start to un-layer clothing that we realize summer is coming, but we are not quite ready!! How do you feel when spring and summer arrive? Does it make you feel self conscious and uncomfortable? Does it make you anxious? It certainly did for me when I was younger! I really disliked the warm weather back then because I felt insecure about my curvy body. The good news is that by exercising and eating healthy you can shift how you feel about your body in no time. It's not about being a size zero either, it's about taking care of yourself and feeling good about yourself inside and out. The weight loss journey for me was 4 years, but I started feeling great right from the start of my path to wellness. This photo was taken after I just lost about 20 lbs. I was thrilled to fit in that dress and I was NOT a size 2. patwedding   So embrace the journey of becoming Healthy, Fit, and Strong! If you normally shy away from beach season try this year to get out there being confident and comfortable in your own skin. You can't keep waiting for perfection to happen because it's not realistic for most of us. In the meantime start focusing on your health and fitness by making your body strong, and accepting where you are now with the intention of a Healthier Version of YOU in the Future.   HERE ARE SOME HEALTHFUL TIPS TO HELP YOU FEEL BODY PROUD...   1. Start your day off with a Healthy Protein Shake 8f59bb_e03da33526d70be2e62df1f747e2a7b7_jpg_srz_350_250_75_22_0_50_1_20_0   Protein balances your blood sugar levels so it sets your day up for success. It also helps you recover from your workouts. I use whey isolate or hemp protein powder. Add lots of Berries to your shake, full of antioxidants and low on the glycemic index. You can use unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk...add bee pollen, or spirulina for an added boost.   2. Keep a plate of raw veggies cut up and ready to eat in your fridge with a healthy dip. You can buy a healthy hummus or make your own. I like to make my own. Try a Zucchini Hummus! I Love this!  Chopped zucchini, some chickpeas, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, cumin....sometimes I add in broccoli and/or roasted red peppers. It's a great way to get veggies in!   3. Keep those Cardio workouts going!! imagesV31A4F1H For me I need a good cardio blast to ignite fat burning. Try something like this... 1 minute each
  1. Plank jacks (great for inner thighs!)
  2. Butt Kicks  (great for hamstrings!)
  3. Burpees
  4. Bicycle Abs
  5. Skip
Repeat 3 times!! 4. Try not to eat to close to bed time. images2MBOT3N9 You will sleep better if you do this as opposed to a bag of chips, a pizza or chocolate and a good night's sleep is important for fat loss.   14058938_s I usually eat some almond butter, warm milk with cinnamon, or a little plain Greek yogurt if I'm hungry before bed. This really helps you wake up more rested as well :) imagesLT1YF0JD   5. Not sure how your going to feel about this one, but buy something for spring/summer that makes you feel good as you are now.   Life is going to keep on keeping on so enjoy the moment.   What is it that you feel good in? I know comfort is everything to me and when I feel comfortable I feel at peace with myself.   dead66   The war against yourself is over. Work hard when you train. Eat for your Health and wellness. Make peace with where you are Now.... ....and the rest will fall into place.     images615B3A1G
