5 Things To Remember When You Feel Like You Are Not Enough

There is no one who walks this Earth that hasn't had moments of self doubt. Those days when we feel inadequate and all we can see are our flaws. Fret no longer, boys and girls, I've got 5 things that can help you through.

1.  If we believe that we are only on this earth for a limited time, then who cares if people think we are weird?

Really, what is the point of life if you aren't trying to be your best, authentic, self? No one's judgement matters after you die. So, let your freak flag fly!

2. F*&k it.

If you aren't being yourself, you aren't really going to enjoy your life deeply. If you're true to your heart's desire, you can work to build you life into one the feels right for you. You are going to have days when you feel less than enough. Meet people that make you feel inadequate. But as long as you keep going and try to learn from every situation you face, you will always be ahead of the game.

3. So what if someone seems to be having a better time than you?

First, you never know what is really going on behind closed doors. People can look like they have the perfect life in every sense of the word but be absolutely miserable inside. If you are so concerned about what other people are doing, you aren't focusing on yourself as you should. If you think you want a job like so and so or to have a super crazy fit looking body, devote your time to making the changes you need to get there. If it is going to the gym more and changing your diet or going back to school do it. Use the little moment of envy to make a reasonable change in your life. You have the power to control your own joy.

4. Count your own blessings.

No matter how bad things are, they really can always be worse. Take a moment to think about how lucky you are. Remember your own talents and accomplishments. Think of those you love and those that love you. If you weren't 'enough,' you wouldn't have them in your life. To prevent your weaknesses taking over, remember your strengths.

5. Remind yourself that you are enough.

And you will always be enough. No matter what you are doing, what you are pursuing, who you are with. You are enough all on your own. You are enough because you say so. Sometimes the hardest battle we have is against ourselves. It can be really hard to find your way out of those negative tailspins. But if you can take a moment and remember at least one of these things, you should be right as rain in no time. Being a truly unique, sometimes weird, but always authentic person, is the greatest gift you could give yourself. Trust me.
