50 Days Closer To A New Me!

It's been quite a while since I last posted. This is mostly due to the fact that I've been crazy busy with my real life job, but also because I've been making some big changes in my life... This photo is a comparison of my body between June and July. I'd lost 11 lbs and 11 inches when I took the second photo, and at this current moment, I'm now 15 lbs lighter in total and I've dropped 2 sizes! Insane, right? What a difference just one month makes! Today marks 50 days since I began my fitness journey. 50 days ago, I was not only unhappy with the state of my body, I felt like a hypocrite writing for a health and fitness blog when I wasn't exactly the epitome of health and fitness myself. I'd been considering many different options for a while; 90 day plans, diet pills, Couch-to-5k apps, all sorts of things. I already knew purchasing yet another set of fitness DVD's wouldn't do the trick. Every time I got a new $100+ program in the past, I couldn't commit long enough to see any results. So, I set my sights on a goal (a glamorous fitness competition next year) and hired a personal trainer. I'd really like to emphasize that you don't need to hire a personal trainer in order to see the same results that I did. In fact, there's some great workouts and diet tips right here on TheDailyHiit (and here's proof they work)! All my personal trainer had me do was watch what I eat (no more alcohol or dessert for me!) and exercise at least four times a week. Simple enough, right? Wrong. I can't even tell you how many times I've cheated on my diet. Most of my problems come from living at home with my family during the summer break. In fact, I never realized how much crap we ate until I started eating right. Not even a week into my transformation, one of my siblings baked two dozen cupcakes and ate them all within two days. There's also the amount of ice cream and baked goods my family goes through within a week... it's just insane! And to think that I had the same eating habits just 50 days ago, it blows my mind. As much as I've asked my family to lay off purchasing so many of my favorite snacks and desserts (and eating them right in front of me), they're a  little stubborn. Why make a sacrifice if they're not the ones on a diet? The only positive thing that's come about is that I get to practice my self-control every single time I enter the kitchen. My work outs, on the other hand, have been fabulous! I strength train four times a week, and I'm noticing more and more changes to my body every single day! I also do cardio after my workouts and I've noticed that my endurance and speed keep getting better with every trip to the gym! Right now, I'm trying to focus on my abs (in fact, I started a new Instagram to keep track of them) and I've been incorporating the HiitCore workouts into my everyday routine to REALLY ensure I work my core! It's only a matter of time before six pack abs are all mine! Just think, if you: 1) eliminated everything bad from your daily diet and stuck to eating fresh veggies, whole grains and lean cuts of meat 2) exercised at least four times a week 3) drank more water ...in just one month you could see the same results I did! Stop looking for a miracle pill or a super lazy easy workout and earn your dream body! What are you waiting for? A year from now, you'll wish you'd started today! I'll be sure to keep you updated on my progress as I prepare for my first fitness competition! In the meanwhile, let me know... if you could change one thing about your body in a month, what would it be?
