8 Steps To Get Back On Track With Your Health & Fitness

1) Don’t be too hard on yourself We are only human and sometimes we need to take a few steps back to get a farther ahead on our health journey. 2) Acknowledge your excuses Whether its, “I am too tired”, “I don’t have enough time” or “It’s too expensive” we all have excuses that hold us back. Realize what yours are. 3) Set /Review Your Health Goals Have you ever set health goals? If not, go ahead and do it now! Post it on your wall so you can be constantly reminded! 4) Set some new super short term goals It’s important to take things, one bite, one meal, one workout and one day at a time. Set some intentions for healthy baby steps in your immediate future to help you get back on track to optimal health! rawfood 5) Be aware of your weaknesses and prepare yourself This allows you to be prepared for potential future slip ups. If you are likely to snack in the car have the right snacks available, if you pick while preparing meals drink a vegetable juice or eat vegetable sticks or if the food table at a party is your weakness then take your own healthy snacks or eat something filling before you go. 6) Understand why you went off track Often we fall off the wagon, because we feel sad, bored or had a hard day or week at work. Its important to investigate what happened so that we can be better prepared for the next time we are in a similar situation. 7) Gather Support Don’t be afraid to reach out for help when you need it. This could mean getting a personal trainer, nutritionist, going to a support group or recruiting the help of your co-workers, friends and family. 8) Reset! When everything seems to be spiralling out of control, I find it really helpful to reboot my system with a 3 or 5 day juice cleanse or going away to a yoga retreat!
