8 Veggies You Only Need to Buy Once (and they'll last forever)

For some of us, having a fresh vegetable garden isn't an option. But did you know that you can use the scraps of store bought vegetables to grow more in the comfort of your own home?  As does any DIY project, it does require some time and effort - but the benefits are totally worth it! Apart from saving money, you don't even need a full sized gardens and you can grow them all year round! All you need is fresh scraps, sunlight and water.

Scallions

You can regrow them using their discarded roots. Leave an inch of the scallion attached to the root then put them in a glass of water. Place the glass of water in a room that’s well-lit.

Garlic

Garlic sprouts can be grown from the garlic clove and have a mild garlic flavour to them. Use these sprouts to add flavour to your favourite dishes. When they begin to sprout, place them in a glass that has a little bit of water.

Bok Choy

Place the Bok Choy’s root ends in water and a well-lit area. Give them 1-2 weeks then transplant them to a pot that has soil. It will grow a new full head!

Carrots

Carrot greens can be regrown from carrot tops. Place carrot tops put in a dish that has little water. Place the dish in a room that is well-lit or on a window sill. Although carrot greens are a bit bitter - you can chop them up together with garlic and sweeten them with vinegar to use in salads.

Basil

Basil cuttings can be used to grow new basil. Put basil clippings that have stems of 3-4 inches in a glass of water. Place them in direct sunlight and when the roots get to 2 inches long, move them to pots. Eventually, they will grow in to full basil plants! Make sure to always change their water to prevent sliminess.

Celery

Cut the base off and place it in a shallow bowl or saucer in the sun. The leaves will thicken and grow with time in the middle of the base. Transfer to soil after 3 days.

Romaine Lettuce

Put stumps of the romaine lettuce in a ½ inch water. After a few days and new leaves and roots appear, transplant the romaine lettuce into soil.. The leaves can grow up to twice the size. Cabbage can also be regrown in the same way!

Cilantro

If you place the stems of cilantro in a glass of water, they will grow. Move them to a pot of soil when the roots become long enough. Place them in a room with ample lighting. The plants will be fully grown in a few months.

We want you to start your fitness journey with us as quickly as possible, that’s why we send every package to the USA & Canada via expedited or standard shipping with our partners at UPS. Once your order is received and processed, it just takes 2-4 days to get to you once it leaves our warehouse. That’s our commitment and we stand by it.

We ship within Canada and the United States via UPS with Standard & Expedited shipping (whichever is faster)

For locations outside of the US and Canada, we ship using FedEx International (EUROPE and Other Nations), which is usually in transit for 7-10 business days, depending on location.

We ship all of our physical products with UPS, from our warehouse location in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Signatures are required on all orders. Delays caused due to custom withholds are not included in these estimated delivery times.

Returns & Exchanges

BodyRock Equipment

We offer a 30-day return policy, as long as: it is not more than 30 days past the date of delivery; and your item is in its original condition and packaging with the original order number. Refunds will be issued when the equipment is received back to the BodyRock warehouse, minus the original cost of shipping, and the customer is responsible for the costs of return shipping. To request a refund on physical product purchases, please contact us.

Digital Products

We cannot issue refunds on digital goods such as e-books or videos, as these are non-tangible goods that are irrevocable once the order is placed.
