Amy Schumer's SNL Monologue On Female Role Models Doesn't Disappoint
Amy Schumer hosted SNL this past Saturday, and her 8-minute monologue on role models for young girls, whether or not it's an exciting time in Hollywood for women, and dating Bradley Cooper did not disappoint.
While being funny, she was also quite frank about how sad it is that young girls most likely have posters of the Kardashians in their rooms as opposed to ones of Malala. She pokes fun at how obsessed the famous family is with materialism, noting that they take the faces they were born with as a slight suggestion.
But she also tells the story of the girl who played a young Schumer in her movie "Trainwreck." The girl said she gets turned down for roles because her cheeks are too big, but says she appreciates those cheeks for getting her a role in Schumer's movie. Schumer then notes how important it is that we create a world filled with inspiring women, and continue to promote body positivity.
Oh, and dating Bradley Cooper? It's just a jab at how the dating world seems to work in the industry, but it's hilarious nonetheless. Watch the full skit below:
