An R-Rated Instagram May Be a Reality Relatively Soon

While men can sport their bare nipples for the Instagram world to see, women certainly can't. This issue caused a stir amongst the masses, who sought to find their freedom and bare their boobs with the #FreetheNipple movement. And while the hashtag has gained quite a following, Instagram has stuck to their guns of keeping it as PG-13 as they can. There's a reason behind that, however. nudity on instagram According to the much-loved social media platform, they don't exactly have a choice, since it's really Apple's policy that keeps them from expanding into a realm of naked bods, otherwise, they'd get kicked out of Apple's App Store ... and then we'd all be mad. But has Instagram found another route to take? Possibly. During a Vanity Fair panel in San Francisco on Tuesday, Instagram's cofounder, Kevin Systrom, said he was investigating other options, like an "R-rated" version of the app. "There have been discussions," Systrom said, but noted that it's not as black and white as one would hope, because "who decides what's R-rated. We're not in the business of hosting porn. We focus on people being able to express themselves in beautiful ways." Would you be interested in utilizing this app?
