Back in the Gym...And It Feels So Good!
Well, well, well......look who the cat dragged in.
That was the gym this morning. To me.
It has been moooooonths since I actually went to work out for real. Like, with weights.
I have been up in DC for the past few days and honestly, I haven't been so great to my body.
I have had desert like 4 times in 6 days, I haven't been abiding by my body's need for gluten free/dairy free fare.
And, I am feeling it today.
So, I figured I would go down to the enormous (seriously, it is the nicest hotel gym I have seen yet) gym and get my sweat on.
I had no real plan. I just wanted to move.
So, I did a couple circuits after completing my 50 squats for the squat challenge that Lisa is leading this month.
My circuit was:
Leg Lifts, Leg Curl, Leg Press, Barbell Chest Press, Dumbbell Lateral and Front Arm Raises with a Bicep Curl, Seated Flyes, Seated Row, Glute Extension, Lat Pull Down, Adduction, and Bosu Crunches.
I did 2 full circuits, 10 reps each exercise (except abs...I did 15), resting 1 minute between circuits, no rest between movements.
While this wasn't too extreme, I didn't want to push myself too hard on the first day.
Slow and steady wins the race.
Tomorrow I will do a bit of cardio and my 50 squats , along with burpess.
Just wanted to share what I did today.
What did your workout look like?
xo,
Kara
