Beauty Queen's Mesh Tongue

Venezuelan beauty queen Wi May Nava has undergone several cosmetic surgeries in order to better her chances at winning pageants. Her most recent surgery was having a patch of mesh sown to her tongue, making it to painful to eat solid food. So many things… I can’t even… ugh. Okay. Let’s start with the yuck factor. If you never want to eat, you don’t need to do this gross surgery, just imagine having a piece of mesh sewn to someone’s tongue – yup, I’m good, never eating again. I mean, how little self-control does this woman have? Not that I support starving oneself, I personally am a pretty big fan of solid food. But if she was really trying to not eat, instead of scary surgery couldn’t she, I don’t know, not eat? The next piece of fun-ness from this story is that she was told to get the surgery from Ms. Venezuela pageant president Osmel Sousa, who proclaims all feminists to be “ugly betties” and is a major proponent for plastic surgery.
