How to Have the Best Morning Ever!

Want to have the best day ever? Well then your going to have to start the day off on the right foot! Here is my miracle morning routine: Gratitude: First thing when I open my eyes, I start giving thanks for all the wonderful things in my life. Hydrate: Knowing how important it is for digestion, I start my mornings off with a tall glass of lemon water with a pinch of sea salt and my probiotic capsule. Detox: This is rather self-explanatory, but get into the habit of going to the washroom as soon as you get up! Brush your teeth and use a scraper to get the white layer off your tongue. Stretch: I love to stretch in the morning and get all the cobwebs out from the nights rest. Some mornings this means a full yoga practice and some mornings its just some basic movements to get the blood flowing and the kinks out. Sit: I usually sit for about 20- 30 minutes each morning depending on what I have on for the day. Some mornings this is cut short but that’s okay because something is better than nothing! Visualize How You Want Your Day to Go: One of my favourite things to do while I am showering is use positive visualization. I imagine myself going through all the things I have to do that day and I picture the best possible outcomes with extreme detail. Visualization is one of the most powerful tools of success!! Try using it before a big meeting, sports game or presentation. Refuel: After you stretch, sit, visualize and affirm you should be feeling ready to take on the day! Its time to refuel the body after fasting all night, but I encourage you to wait until the body signals you that its ready to take in and digest food. If you have trouble with this in the morning, pack breakfast and take it with you to work, smoothies make the easiest meal to go!
