Booty Busting Series--Best Exercises to Build that Butt#22: Lateral Cable Leg Raises

A beauty booty isn't just about a butt that has a beautifully round profile, but there needs to be a bit of width to your butt as well. This exercise is ideal to give you a bit of muscle tone on your hips, helping to flesh out the roundness of your glutes and make you look STUNNING in that bikini. The beauty of adding the cable to this (traditionally) bodyweight exercise is that you force your muscles to work harder. As you control the descent of your leg in the eccentric phase, you help to strengthen your muscles in a different way than you would in the "raising" portion of the workout.

Lateral Cable Leg Raises

Stand with the cable machine on your left side, and attach the ankle strap to your right leg. Keep your back straight and head up, but lean on the machine if you need support.
