Called 'Masculine' By Body-Shamers, Ronda Rousey Hits Back!
Wearing a crop top and shorts, the UFC champion strutted around Rio de Janeiro following harsh body shaming Tweets directed at her figure.
The 28-year-old was called 'masculine' and 'disgusting manly' on Twitter recently. Despite her incredible ass-kicking abilities, it seems that her and many women in sports are subject to ridicule over their figures and appearance.
Both men and women voiced their opinions on Ronda's looks and apparent 'lack of attractiveness' and not her actual accomplishments. But the strong and ultra-athletic blonde wasn't about to let haters bring her down. She fired back on the UFC 190 Embedded vlog stating that she is proud of her body and doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks.
"I think it’s femininely bad**s as f*ck because there’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose because I’m not a do nothing b*tch." she explained. "It’s not very eloquently said but it’s to the point and maybe that’s just what I am. I’m not that eloquent, but I’m to the point."
Ronda has been open about her struggle with bulimia in the past, and is proud of her current weight and her positive relationship with food. Her body confidence certainly shines through, and we love her unfiltered attitude towards the shamers!
What are your thoughts on Ronda and her critics? If you have a strong and athletic figure, what do you love about it?
