Cellulite Fighting Foods #5: Sardines

Sardines are one of the healthiest foods on the planet, but the fact that they're more expensive than tuna and less versatile than other fish makes them far less popular than you'd expect. Sardines are VERY rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, which help to regulate estrogen levels in your body. Estrogen ultimately causes the collagen in your skin to be broken down, which leaves your skin susceptible to the dimpling caused by fat buildup in the lower layers of skin tissue. By reducing estrogen levels, you reduce the breakdown of collagen. Omega-3 fatty acids also eliminate the toxins trapped in the fat cells causing the cellulite! Sardines are cheaper, and they contain more of the healthy fatty acids than tuna. Bonus benefits: Sardines are loaded with protein for your muscles, Vitamin B12 to boost your metabolism, potassium to keep a healthy electrolyte balance, and Omega-3 fatty acids to improve your heart health.
