Day 0 of 21: An Unexpected Journey

Alright, on the eve of the challenge I find myself both nervous and stoked - I’m pretty excited because reading through the challenge guide, and the old 30 day challenge recipes is getting me all health motivated, and I think the next 21 days are going to be fun. But, I’m nervous that I might not do as well as I hope, and because I have to post pictures of myself, blurgh. That being said, here are my starting photos: [caption id="attachment_44545" align="alignnone" width="509"]Stoked to start. Stoked to start.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_44544" align="alignnone" width="480"]Tummy bloat makes MK sad. Tummy bloat makes MK sad.[/caption] I am really not one to post pictures of anything that reveals my stomach, but this way you get a full appreciation of my ab-less tummy pooch. You will probably not see my stomach again until the end of the challenge. PS I can call it an ab-less tummy pooch, but I’m really looking for some “you go girl!” “power to you!” “everyone is beautiful regardless of their shape or size” type comments, if you all wouldn’t mind. Just be gentle. Whatever, I’m so snuggly anyway, you don’t even KNOW how awesome I am at hugs. Also, I do have to point out that I’m not un-fit, I do go to the gym about 3 times a week and do hot yoga on top of that. And my only failing as a healthy vegetarian is my occasional sweets cravings and severe burrito addiction. That being said, pretty much everyone in my family is hobbit-esque– I am genetically predisposed to being cushy. So, although I am slightly overweight, I am pretty healthy, and happy with how I look. So why do I want to do this challenge? Because I think I can, I think it’ll be a good experience, and if I tighten up my tummy then I’m certainly not going to complain. SO BRING IT.
