Days 5 & 6: That workout definitely made me pay for my day off (Natalie)

Yesterday was day 5, a rest day, and I actually really missed working out. It's important even on your rest days that you keep active, it doesn't have to be much, a walk with your family or friends would be great. I went for a swim with my family and we had fun both swimming and playing around, it was a good day, and stopped me from longing for a workout. I ate really well yesterday! Breakfast: Porridge Lunch: Avocado, hard boiled eggs and cucumber salad, it may sound odd but  I love it Snack: I tried a new smoothie recipe: 1 pear, 1 cucumber, 1 apple, 1 celery stalk, handful of kale and 1/2 cup of blueberries Dinner: Cod loin, sweet potato and kale (from the Nutrition guide) I felt really good yesterday, and couldn't wait to get back into working out again. EatWellFeelWellLogo_small2 Today I felt refreshed, none of my muscles were aching for the first time since the challenge started, and I felt great from what I had eaten yesterday. Today's workout definitely made me pay for my rest day yesterday! It was a hard one, but I loved it. My favourite move was the switch mountain climbers/bicycle, this made me work really hard and I definitely felt it working. I found the 180 degree long leaps quite funny as my Fiance said I resembled a ninja jumping around. He joined in again today, it's great that we are completing this together. I ate very well again today: Breakfast: Porrdidge Lunch: Soup Snack: I tried another new smoothie recipe: 1 apple, 1 banana, 1 pear, 1 celery stalk and handful of kale Dinner: Steak, sweet potatoes, carrots and green beans I've become addicted to smoothies, knowing how many nutrients I can consume in just one of them is amazing. Today's smoothie contained too much fruit and not enough vegetables though, so I will be looking for more recipes tomorrow. I feel fantastic and am loving this challenge! exercise-motivation If you are struggling to find motivation just remember that it will be worth it, you will look back at the end of the 30 day challenge and will not only have a better body, but you will also be stronger. You will amaze yourself because you will have already gained strength in just these first few days. The things you struggled with on day 1 will be slightly easier now because you are improving. Keep going.
