DIY Avocado Skin Cream

I love avocados--in salads, in sandwiches, or even in soups! However, I've discovered that avocados make a brilliant skin cream. It has come to my attention that I have incredibly dry and brittle skin on the back of my elbows, which bothers my girlfriend at night. I also have a lot of callouses on my hands from weight training. Thankfully, this avocado skin cream is incredibly effective at softening hard skin, not to mention nourishing and repairing skin. 1 avocado
Honey
Organic coconut oil

Preparation: Start by slicing the avocado in half, and remove the pit. Use a spoon to scoop the flesh from the avocado peel, and drop it into a bowl. Pour in two tablespoons of the coconut oil and a single tablespoon of honey. With a fork, mash the avocado, oil, and honey together, adding a tablespoon or so of water to make the mashing easier. Once the mixture is silky smooth, apply to your skin and leave it for about 20 minutes before washing it off with warm water. Prepare for eerily soft skin! Featured Image Source: kerrycooks.com
