DIY Nutty Body Butter
So, I saw a picture of a body butter bar with coffee beans molded right into it, which would be awesome for exfoliating with my moisturizing. After clicking on the picture though it was just where I could go to buy this, but I wanted to make my own, sooooo… I did!
What you need:
Instructions:
For molds I tried using the lids of mason jars this time, because I thought that once it had cooled it would be easy to pop out the bottom, and it kinda worked. I still think muffin wrappers are the way to go though.
- 5 oz cocoa butter
- 5 oz beeswax
- 5 oz almond oil (3 tbsp)
- 1 tsp. argan oil
- A few drops vitamin E oil (optional)
- Handful of coffee beans
- A double boiler (or two similarly sized pots)
- Body bar molds (muffin tins, ice cube trays, jars, etc.)

- In the double boiler, melt the beeswax and cocoa butter on low heat, stirring to combine.
- Once melted, add in the oils. Stir until combined, then remove from heat and let cool a few minutes.
- Sprinkle the coffee beans into the base of your molds, then pour the mixture into molds and let cool, a few hours. Pop them out and moisturize your heart out.
